Paid via card. The platform accepts both foreign and naira cards. It's cheaper to pay in naira though. As for when the testing will end, I no sabi o.

Depending on where you are, Boots is 120 quid and the results normally come out in 24hrs or less that's my experience. If you are in Scotland XpressTest charges 80quid for travellers.

For the test in Nigeria, I paid 39,500 but it is location dependent.

Six months is advisable but you can use less than 6 months. My last one I used three and it was issued

No. If you study online you aren't eligible for a tier 4 visa. Hence not eligible to get the student work permit of 20hrs per week during term time

I’m just worried if this will have an effect on my application because the hotel reservation confirmation numbers I got when I rebooked is different from the first one I submitted with my application. Hope when the embassy calls the hotel to confirm my hotel reservation they will just ask for my name to confirm and won’t use the booking numbers

No, it should be fine. As long as you adhered to the stipulations of your Visa class.

As a tourist, you can be in the UK for max of 6 months at a time


P.S The fact that you are catching a flight to go apply for a student visa clearly shows you are a genuine student.

The UK doesn't require you to have 6 months validity on your passport before applying for a visa or travelling. Just make sure your travel dates are within your passport validity.

For example you can apply for a 2 years Visa in Feb/March for travel in April as long as return date is before the expiration of your passport in September then you should be fine.

Yeah. Subtract time spent there from the total quarantine time. Unless you stayed there for a duration of UK quarantine.

A lot of airlines offer Cabin bag only tickets on international routes.

That's not really what I meant. With regards to quarantine the last information am aware of is that the duration has been shortened to 10 days.

People can decide to quarantine for the whole trip. Since you are just travelling to see a friend and I'm guessing you will be staying with them then it should be fine for you to stay indoors in their house for the 7days (duration of stay).

Normally if you are flying economy you might have to pay the price difference. For business class most airlines offer free date change.

But you will have to contact specific airlines to ask and be sure. You can spend your whole trip in quarantine at your friends house.

No it is not a family visit, I have no family in London so hotel reservation it is then, the sad part of it is the visa will be expiring soon and I really want to disvirgin the passport,but you are right the current circumstances are not favourable ...the funny thing is flights are still going , very confusing....oh well

I think I understand how you feel but we must be cautious at least till a vaccine is widely available. Flights wouldn't stop totally as some people are always exempt from certain travel restrictions eg. diplomats, returning citizens etc.

Also airline can't really advise on steps to take as they aren't an immigration unit. If you have travel insurance the company might be able to sort you out. The flight might be cancelled too as normally once there's a lockdown airlines reduce their flights to the route.

Don't worry even if your visa expires, you can easily get a new one, just add a comment on the additional information box that you couldn't travel due to the pandemic.

If it's not a family visit I suggest you reschedule your trip. Please note that the above is my personal opinion and not the government policy directive.

Self-isolation for contacts of people with confirmed coronavirus will be shortened from 14 to 10 days across the UK from Monday.

The change will also apply to people instructed to quarantine after returning from high-risk countries.

And it means anyone who has been self-isolating for 10 days or more will be able to end their quarantine on Monday.

So misleading. I know people that were turned back at the border after going into questioning room and visa forms were opened and they were sayin a different thin at the border as against what was on their form. Dnt say this please.
U just hve to be truthful at the POE. That’s all but they do check if they want to , which one is nobody has time. U should also be aware that it is at the discretion of the border officer to grant entry, say u get visa no mean say u will enter.

Because people lie at the POE. It's not normal procedure to take people to the questioning room unless there are discrepancies or inconsistencies in your answer to the ECO hence they need to question you further to determine your intentions.

Like I said let the OP be honest. From what OP stated here no law has been broken. OP is a tourist and the food is a gift to a friend/relative.

Braided attachment is not contraband, someone I know carried so great a quantity cus she wanted to go sell them there. From border officer she went into secondary questionin and her bag was searched. This alarming number of hair attachments opened doors to more questions.

Although she claimed she defended herself, the border officer still had her deported bcus according to him she was coming for business and work which are against the rules of the tourist visa she filled So pls dnt rule out people’s experiences sayin no one cares what u are carrying as long as it is not contraband.

It doesn't matter. As long as you are being truthful at the POE.

You could have recently been reconnected to them, you might have been keeping malice with them and just made up etc. Also no one has the time to review your visa form at the POE. Just be honest with your intentions and fill your locator form properly.

While filling my application for the visa I claimed to not know anyone in the uk which is true because I planned staying in a hotel until recently a family member popped up and asked if I could bring food stuff for her, will this food stuff cause a problem for me since what I filled is staying in a hotel and not knowing anyone ..ps the food stuff are actually much and could fill a whole 23kg bag

1. The UK doesn't require a COVID-19 test. I don't know if virgin airlines does.

2.DO NOT GIVE A WRONG ADDRESS IN YOUR PASSENGER LOCATOR FORM!

3. You don't have to stay where you filled that you will stay while applying for visa. I for one have never stayed where I filled as plans change and life happens. It's not our business (POE) how many kg of food you are bringing as long as what you are bringing isn't contraband.

4. Please stay with your family/friend if they're willing to accommodate you. IT IS NOT A PROBLEM TO STAY IN A DIFFERENT ADDRESS THAN THE ONE YOU STATED WHILE APPLYING FOR VISA.

5. BUT YOU SEE THAT PASSENGER LOCATOR FORM, JUST MAKE SURE YOU ARE STAYING AT THE ADDRESS THAT YOU STATED THERE.

Yes you need a return flight if the person is a non resident. You might book a one-way and get away with it but it's at the discretion of the ECO. To avoid wahala book return, if you aren't sure when the return will be, make it as further away as possible or keep it open.

No it shouldn't be an issue. If asked where you are staying be honest about it.
