Looks inviting. But holdup, is it possible to jump in your suv, car or RV and take a drive down there for family vacation? No be suicide mission? ![]() |
Mandate2023:Omo, it is very special, those thousands graduating abroad, you think it is easy? Even if not the study aspect, to pay for a university education abroad in this current reality Nigerians face from the shenanigans of the last 9 years is enough to be termed special, enough to shout in the city center or market place, social media and to give testimony in church. Abi you don't know how much it cost to do masters in the uk? School fees, accommodation, feeding, transportation, visa fees, proof of funds etc. Abi don't you know as at today 1000 pounds is 1.8 million? APC has made Nigerians so poor that foreign education is quite exclusive. |
flexyrule:Did you watch the vp at the recent forum at Davos? Nigeria can do better. |
NGArmyTerrorist:I have not seen that charlatan post in a while, is he on ban? |
YoobaNesan:Seems you don't know the billions those breweries pay in taxes to fgn. The is on you rather, but you don't know it. |
Arobaga:My brother I weak. It is with our korokoro eyes we are seeing Nigerians being driven into poverty. Businesses being destroyed, even multinationals. Imagine guiness making a loss! Dollars these apc charlatans met at 180/200, now almost 1500! Is it that people like the guy you mentioned are not affected by what is going on? At this rate a 2003 corolla may be sold for 10m. 2022 November I still bought $4000 for 1,680,000. Even though we were complaining, pounds was 890 blackmarket or 550 cbn rate, today, 1 pound is 1800! Is this not alarming to people for God's sake? |
Kai, these politicians, it is all about interest. |
Coldspice:As I always say, Nigerians have "mouth" . Only in Nigeria will you see a destitute fellow, walk pass a marble mansion and say the owner of the house is tasteless, that if he had built the house, he would have done it better. Only in naija will an ordinary fellow want to advice or pass comments in a gathering of billionaires. Peter obi used 10 years to study philosophy and you alledge he got a pass when from documents seen, he got a 2.2. Many of us, including you that studied and have high grades, where are we now? Can you gift 20m, 100m, 10m just as the pass degree Obi has done recently? With your degree, assuming you have one, have you been governor? Have you been chairman of SEC? have you been one of the youngest bank chairman in Nigeria? How many companies have you been on their board? Do you own a fully paid for home in the uk without modgage, have you ran for presidency of Nigeria? Most of us here simply speak above our paygrade, and ontop empty stomachs. We have mouth. ![]() |
Op, thread lightly with your dad. Please him to the best of you ability, na your papa. OP, how I wish my papa could be around to trouble me as yours is doing now. I lost mine in August last year. |
Solofresh2:Is it is father you are talking about ohh.. Even the 2 other properties are likely his as op refered to them as "we own" not I own. |
1TrippleCee:Lol, house he sold 3 years ago and used the kudi to move the village? Omo, that owo don end tay tay, especially with this apc economy. |
Nothing do you. That is how we eat pepper and other spices in my house. Infact if correct pepper is added, I feel like throwing up. |
Nice one from Lasg. Lots of streets are closed to vehicular movement due to shanty shops. |
If you have not realized by now that fx in this country is been plundered, kept for exclusive use, warehoused, I will say you are slow. Even if Elon musk pumps $20b into the Nigerian economy, naira will still keep falling against the dollar. Let China dash us $50b, naira will still fall. Sad to say, it unfortunately seems to be that we have handed over the vaults to shady characters. Eg you give the vaults of a state somewhere in the SE to an ex celebrated guyman, you then expect the states money to be safe. You hand over the cash cow, the vaults of the cbn to a bunch of alleged shady business people, then expect your currency to appreciate, howww ?Al Pacino in a movie was asked why he robbed banks, his answer was that is where the money is! Some Nigerians who are mugus will tell you we produce nothing, we export nothing. The usual story told by dollar chewing politicians to feable minded Nigerians. We produced nothing but naira, pounds were stable for many many years. The locust came in to destroy, now we "produce nothing". |
Very few businesses can operate successfully under the current economic atmosphere. One thing I practically sing about here is the cost of power, running generators. If your run an average business in this country, you will understand what I mean. It is as if you are doing business just to pay the diesel supplier! As I said earlier, we burn 600liters every 2 days running 2 80kva gens in 2 locations. What business can survive that? Imagine large companies running eg 1000kva gens, some they cannot turn them off due to sensitive equipment or production processes. Over time, the only recourse is to shutdown. That is one of the major reasons companies are closing shop or leaving the country. Pic: Diesel we bought yesterday @1050 per liter. 450liters.

Ancecoker:Despite the man's seemly good efforts, the truth of the matter is that one cannot be a wolf in the morning and a sheep in the evening. Someone that has the morale to wack close to 500m meant for humanitarian services through his briefcase company may not be able to stop corruption. He likely will create a bottleneck that officers will use to make returns back to him. |
adebowales:Wow. That's great. Guess I am in the wrong business. You sure say I no go enter pos tins.. ![]() |
Nzogbu2012:Stop being petty, which one is "my state"? All states belong to Nigerians. Come to think of it, of what benefit is your personal state to you? Abi can you walk to your local government office or state government house and demand they give you money because it is your state? Do you get free Healthcare, free bus rides, train rides because it is "my" state? Do you get free land or electricity? Infact land in your state will be sold to a non indigene that outbids you on land or building purchase. I implore us to be more mature about such issues, remove pettiness and use our time to workout money so we can benefit from our states, if not all we have is just bragging rights which does not put food on the table. |
advanceDNA:Interesting. I thought it is just the 100 naira they collect on 5k. I only use them when I need small cash tops 5k as I am usually cashless. 10k daily is more than what 80% of Nigerians earn daily. Not bad then. |
jelel6:Guess it has to do with location. |
Treasure17:Wow |
madridguy:Are you sure? How many ₦100 on 5k withdrawals will you make to see 1k? Ie 50k transactions to make 1k. Ie 500k worth of transactions to make 10k. I doubt even pos located at major markets make that much transactions. |
Fola Adebola, this na the real odogwu, not the ones making noice "up and down". To all those that see the location as a ragging right, bragging is all is likely will be to them. Why? It is not a public facility. 95% of Lagosians will not be able to afford that hospital, 95% also of nairalanders will also not be able to afford the place. That is a fact. Good initiative by the owners. |
Na wah. Seems they were blown to smithereens. |
Sabinus and chisosss!! Truelly epic. Lol |
“The problem we have now is that many employees are children of politically exposed persons and their Abuja life and businesses are more important than the CBN work" Sanusi hit the nail on the head. Big mens kids were heavily recruited into that place, just to show they have jobs, not as if they need the pay. It has caused lots of inefficiency in that office. |
This same fellow that his ministry almost shut down at the tail end of the administration due to his looting of the accounts, not until orders came for accounts to be frozen. Staff received their salaries late as no money to pay. Billions signed out to cronies under fictitious contracts. |
Akwamkpuruamu:It seems as if the charlatan has been banned. |
Mynd44:Abi 3 months for that matter.. |
Funkyswagzz:Oga, anyone that thinks dangote refinary will bring prices down might be mistaken. I also have hoped it will crash prices of products thereby reducing inflation. The supprising thing is that diesel which sold for ₦995 two days ago is currently selling for ₦1100, increase by ₦105 and the diesel supplier says we should brace up for more increase. What is the problem with Nigeria for goodness sake? Why is our own always different? In other places, when local capacity increases, cost comes down, in naija, it is the opposite! Anyway, let's be positive and still hope the price will come down. |
