"Democracy is a job in progress, the president doesn't know everything. Frankly, I am very disappointed in Tinubu, very disappointed. I thought he understood economics. Now, I have realized he is just a bookkeeper. A bookkeeper is an accountant - he collects money and counts it but to develop a business, to develop an economy takes a business mind. "Somebody who has run the industry before - employers. Employees understand the give and take of business. Evidently, he (President Tinubu) doesn't know it and he is not listening to advice because what is going on now is a disaster." Adetokumbo pearse https://saharareporters.com/2023/08/14/i-thought-tinubu-understood-economics-ive-realised-hes-just-bookkeeper-pdp-chieftain |
Don't think they do now as much as before, because of the strikes and fallen standards. Little maybe. Back in the early 90s when I was at UI, we had many foreign students, hundreds of palestinians/lebanese. I learnt most were sponsored or supported by fgn. Same also we had 100s of south Africans, also financed by fgn in support of the anti apartheid movement. Those ones drank beer in crates as did Cameroonian students. We also had west African students from the 2 major wars Liberia and serria Leone. We had Indian too, even American students on exchange programs. |
illicit:Exactly. |
KingKO22:Na we do ourselves. One day we go get sense. |
Jewessgratitud3:Dont think you understand fully his point. Nollywood is home video which started properly in 1992. KOK allegedly got into Nollywood, 4 years before Pete edochie. Edochie was into cinema ie things fall apart. But did not get into Nollywood not until 4 years after KOK did. Hence the basis of his claim to be older in Nollywood. |
eldoradoxx:I thought of how to respond to that fellow, I typed but deleted it. Sometimes when I read certain post, I am dumbfounded, I wonder if is a case of naivety, mental trauma or just plain stupidity. |
Foto, No be juju be that?

Kudos to RRS. |
Goodvibes007:Fair enough, why then in your opinion is he spending millions to prevent his records released? I assume you went to school. Will you pay SANs millions of naira to prevent eg me requesting eg unilag from releasing your records? I attended uni ibadan, I will welcome you requesting my complete records with the university. You may even get records from nursury, primary, jamb, waec and gce. I will not prevent or go to the extent of paying lawyers. Dont you see there is something wrong somewhere? This is not a tribe matter. How can we have a shady character as our leader? Don't we deserve better? |
FireUpNow:Exactly. Someone was rumored to have warehoused 150b, another 100b, 75b etc. All for the elections. That was the reason Emefiele reacted with the new notes. They went to court screaming blue murder, not for the populace, but for selfish interest. After they entered office, what do you think will happen to all those naira notes in the warehouse? They now control the central bank. Of course all that money will be changed to dollars for easy handling, storage and movement overseas! Trillions of warehouse naira will definately crash the value of naira as there will be plenty naira chasing limited dollars! |
If na this one, I get am plenty in my younger days eg, was staying in a bq on Amina way UI, those BQs that service block of flats. About 7 rooms with bathroom at the end of the side. Anyway, shortly after I had my bath, rushed into the waiting car to wisk me home. A neighbors pack of goats entered the bathroom to relax in the damp environment. About 6 of them were found dead. All electrocuted. |
Funny times ahead. Like bubu, like blablablue. What is this issue with apc and dagbo?? Ask bubu for waec certificate, he says it is with army board. When the usual lie does not pass and people no gree overlook an as before. Him and him larkeys say him be General. How person go become General without waec. Same with blublaba, who you be? you fall from sky? Weh academic records? eg the details of how you take get admission, your name, transcripts, even your certificate documents is contested although you seem to have graduated. In the apc way, him and his larkeys claim he worked for Mobil, he worked for delliote, him be former governor. Lol Bros who claims to be first class brains then decided to pay lawyers plenty $$ to prevent the release of first class academic records, claiming it will carse irreparable harm to him. Lol, NO BE JUJU BE THAT? If like that girl you take dagbo jamb result, or use another person's credentials, impersonation to gain to uni, or you take over another students identity, does it make you legitimate because you then used it to work in some fancy places? This baba years of shady dodgy, magomago is hunting him big time. He quenched it in naija, ie where money can surpress anything, where black can be said to be white and with money people will agree. Unfortunately this case is in amelika. Money is trying through lawyers, but justice will likely prevail. Ie unless the cia steps in. Obviously having an oga at the top with "kompromat" will be a good asset to manipulate. |
Validated:Abi. I wonder |
AkumTemi:Nothing wrong in what she did. You put your product out in the market, people have the freedom to make their observations, and in public. She made it on her personal fb. Her observation was not even defaming. What business has efc got to do with this if not that "connections" may have been used to get her arrested. Great to see the consumer protection organization has taken the matter up. All that company should have done was respond to her post, inform her that they were looking into it and therein make adjustments to their recipe if necessary. Kindly read my earlier post on this thread about my experience with the erisco paste. She probably could cashout legal wise from efc, also if proven the company instigated a wrongfully arrest, it is likely the company might be joined in the law lawsuit. |
Let them chop jare, citizens as we heard yesterday will pay. Afterall they said each of us owes 350k or so. Ie when our debt is shared within a population of 220m Nigerians. When a fellow that was once held for credit card fraud in the US, (his aide was even recently deported to the US and jailed for fraudulent activities) is made to now precide over the finances of a whole state, you then expect money to not be chopped? Paint eg an ekuke white, wear it a 3 peace suit, give it a gentleman walking stick, a tobacco pipe, feed it steak, give it the choicest wine, guess what, it will still eat it's favorite snack, shit. One day, we will have sense in this country. |
LADEMINUS:I get your point. As per what that lady said, she said what she has in her mind was as low as craw craw. Obviously to make me take it seriously. She knew it was dry pealing skin on my elbow. Furthermore, below is what the lady arrested said, and no where did I notice her making accusations against the company relevant to you suggesting if my schoolmate had said my elbow was dry because I probably do drugs. What she said was that it seem to sugary. I quote her, "The lady in question, Egodi Jnr, made a post on Facebook on September 17, 2023, where she said she tasted too much sugar in the tin tomato she bought, a product of Erisco Foods. “I went to buy tin tomatoes yesterday (September 16) that I will use to make stew; I didn’t see Gino and Sonia, so I decided to buy this one,” she wrote. “When I opened it, I decided to taste it omo! Sugar is just too much! Haaa biko let me know if you have used this Tin tomato before because this is an ike gwuru situation!” As per the "Ike gwuru" statement which I did not understand as I do not speak igbo and which is the strange word that could be thought to be condescending. I checked it up on translator. It means an exhausting situation.

Omo, the nose one na no no for me. But that waist chain ehh, na die. The thing can turn a yeye hip less shape to something else. That one na heavy turn on. ![]() |
fineberry:Abi, that is my attitude now. Mind my business. While back then people take criticism positively, it helps them make amends, but now, na fight, it causes quarrel. You tell someone he needs to get roll on because of armpit odor, or tell a person he has mouth odour, they take it as insult. The other day, I was ast the bank and met an old schoolmate, I was wearing a short sleeve shirt. She asked me what happen to my elbow, that how could I leave the house like that? That is not that it was me, she would have said it was craw craw! Lolz. On my observation I saw it was dry skin, just like hammatan. Note ohh, I always day AC, from house to car to office, and I don't rub cream. It looked unpleasant. Omo, I thanked her ohh. When I got home I was upset no one told me. I had to get a moisuriser to rub daily and it cleared within 3 days. Now I regularly mosturise for the dry skin. |
SmartPolician:Oga, Supprisenly, last week I was at justrite doing the normal grocery shopping. I wanted to buy tomatoe paste, I usually buy that gino brand that has onion and pepper. I saw the nice looking erisco product and decided to buy as it is a Nigerian brand. Guess what? madam stopped me. I asked why, she said it was supplied to the catering department of her place of work and the cooks used it, people complained about the food, the caterers said it was the paste supplied to them that was unsatisfactory. That batch of paste was discarded for the regular paste they use. This is a relatively large catering that feeds over 650 people daily. I thought of calling or writing the customer service of the company to express my observation as a feedback but forgot. And reading about this ladies ordeal, guess I saved my arse by not writing them. While I believe we should patronize this Nigerian brand, obviously they have an issue that that needs to be sorted out. |
Op, God is your strength. When commuting to work, carry people to pay for your fuel, over time you will have regulars that will follow you to and from work. Also cut down on unnecessary things, eg joints, bars, oloshos or regular woman runs guys do. If you are a boozer ie to keep your sanity in this trying times. Have your booze in your fridge at home. If possible, take your lunch to work from home. As for me, I eat cereals 6am in the morning before madam goes to work, during the day around 3pm I have my first and only solid meal for the day. Figure out your lifestyle as it affects your cost. Guy, things are tough now, i bought 10k fuel daily for the last 4 days, this evening used 16k to finally top up to full tank. As I said earlier God is your strength. |
This is ridiculous. The other day, his lawyers said releasing his records will cause personal unreversable damage to him. How? Now he says only certificate and not more details eg gender of who was admitted should not be released. How did we get this low as a country to consider this a tribal issue? This fellow has a history of inconsistencies, from where he was born to academics to questionable wealth. A writer yesterday asked if he dropped from the sky or a ghost that came to stay with the living. Someone that professed to his brilliance as a student, rising to oil company executive and the head of 220m people, same person pays hundreds of thousands of money to lawyers in the US to stop his records release? Who does that? Should he not consent his records be released to shut down his distractors and put the devil to shame? The real omoluabis must stand up for the truth they are known for and stop this public, international mecabre dance of shame. |
LarrySun:What you wrote is what people don't understand. The more these people ie politicians, officials etc steal and place the country in debt, it is ordinary Nigerians that will pay. The convoy of exotic cars, the 11m pounds house in London, the 2.5m flat in New York for a 21 year old etc, it is Nigerians that will pay ultimately one way or the other. |
Bliss24:For real? |
lexylaw09:Atleast his history is known, unlike the other fellow that as it seems, dropped from the sky. |
BigCowHornn:Well said. |
Very upright fellow. Anyway, we deserve what we get. |
If you expect Reno to pay you 100k usd, then you have a loose screw just as him. |
You seem to be lactose intolerant. |
