freeman67: We keep running around same issue over and over again. The truth is that we can only forecast what is likely to happen but that doesn't it must happen that way. Before 2015 elections USD/NGN exchange rate was $1/ N150,000. After the elections it went high that $1was exchanging for between N480 & N500 people were still buying at that rate in anticipation that it was going to exchange for N1000 later as predicted by some analysts. Then it crashed to later stabilise between N360-N365 in 2016 and since then the exchange rate has remained same. Every investment has its own risk. The higher the risk, the higher the reward and with luck on your side wrong decision can actually turn right.
Those that bought USD to hoard before the election made some gain while those that bought after loose money. The probably of them regaining that money is still 50/50. While My dear u are simply on point. I dont comment here because of I too no peeps that has been parading themselves here. In 2016 that I moved to Canada, I bought Canadian dollars for 380 for 1 Canadian dollars , in 2017, it came down to 288 to 310 and in 2018, it was 284 to 285. As I type this now, Canadian dollars is at 270 to 280 per naira. I dont just understand how somebody will come here and predict naira value for the next 7yrs. |

Offpoint: You just indirectly told me you don't love your wife.... divorce please. The issue is not with the kids, you don't love 'em equally because some took their mother resemblance.
I know you're avoiding the main issue here, divorce the poor woman if you're tired of the marriage. You are very intelligent. In any marriage that lacks love among the parents, that is what you see. He hates the other twin because she look like her mum, then love the other ones because they resemble him and his mother. Irony of life |

GonFreecss1: My brother, I understand your pain and I am glad you didn't fall into that temptation to do the wrong thing.
Some people advised my family to go and put Juju in the land so anyone who enters will off. I could not believe what I was hearing. Immediately I heard that, I said anything that will make a human stoop so low to lose his or her humanity is definitely not worth it. Land? I run away from it! Anything real estate in Nigeria? Nope! I don't want thank you! Land dispute of any kind? Please run! The way people kill themselves is not worth it. If you like collect C of O and do all the jagba jagba the Nigerian system lacks the infrastructure to make real estate fair and well planned. Not saying people shouldn't own land, just know what you own and the risks associated with it.
On that note, Tbills vs Land? Hahahaha. I will always pick my Tbills thank you very much. U are welcomed. Lol |

shakmati: So I'm really pained. I am a highly mobile kind of businessman but I have my family stationed somewhere in the North West. I send my silly wife a six figure monthly upkeep to ensure she takes care of the home properly. I got home a few days ago.
Today, she went out and I decided to go prepare some boiled rice and beans for the house. Can you believe that this woman does not have ordinary salt and vegetable oil in her kitchen? Women can be so unreliable and incompetent I tell you. This is all the work she does and she can't get simple salt in her kitchen.
Should I just divorce her? I hate incompetence. I need advice from y'all. Stupid or not. I don't give a frigging rat's arse!
- annoyed guy. This type of men are the reason why I felt like flying back to Nigeria to empower women financially. Am sure that wife of urs does nothing financially and that was why u came out here to disgrace her. But wait, if you noticed that there are no salt in the house and quickly buy one, is that a crime. Kai, God of Isreal. Women don suffer so much in this country called naija. As long as she is the next of kin, she doesn't have to know my worth. And that reasons is the reason why we have a lot of dead peoples account with millions of naira In it, your wife no chop, children no chop, even ur own family member no chop too. So of what gain is your hidden asset that will fall into a total strangers hands when u join your ancestor. The children you claimed you are suffering for, will finally suffer to the core. If a woman decides to have her own money now, inferiority complex will make u complain of her not being submissive, so why not make the money for the both and allow her submit to u. Many atimes, men who complain that women are not submissive hav lesser wealth compared to the woman wealth. Experience has taught me that the moment a woman starts making money of her own, the man, all of a sudden will start complaining that she is not respectful. |

To them it seems normal of a rich man has mistresses and is waited upon hand and foot. It's okay. It's healthy. It's doesn't belittle the woman.
But once a woman is rich same things become suddenly horrible. What am I saying? even doing half of what men do when they are rich would be an abomination of women do them.
If a rich man works hard to provide for his family, it is common sense that the wife take care of his personal needs and that of the family but if the situation were to be reversed, she's would be evil to expect him to take care of her while she's providing for the family.
Disgusting hypocrites This is the only reasonable speech here. Men do not want their wife to be rich because when they wife is rich, all their nonsense wont be tolerated as the wife is capable of taking good care of herself. |

They are couple of reasons that made women stay with a cheating husband.
Firstly, children, secondly....you suffered with him when he had nothing and therefore, you don't want another to come and joy the fruit of your labour. Thirdly, you are solely dependent on him for lively hood. If only we women will rise and be hard working. When buying property that you will contribute to, insist that one of the properties bears your name and name Alone. Men respect themselves when they realize that a woman have a financial back up. But I must confess, almost all naija men cheat. The most annoying part is, in the hospital where I worked before, all most all the married women have one disgusting sexually transmitted disease or another. Women protect your self from a cheating husband. |
