Barrow-my-lawnmower ( that was my play name for you) sad
I am lost for words. I am filled with both guilt and grief. Our last indept conversation was on your birthday and you were so happy to finally turn "21", In your own words "I'm a big boy now Island gurl", AS I type this I am doubled over in guilt because on the 29th Nov, you buzzed me, as usual, and I chose my busy life over chatting with you. LIttle did I know you were going to be selfishly snatched from us that very same day. Why didnt I just skip my lunch break to finish up what I was doing and spend some time to chat?

I loved you because, just like me, you were opinionated and held your own in any discussion. I would miss teasing you about the girls. I am feeling the pain your family feels, because I am still mourning the loss of a sibling.

May your soul rest in peace my dear. You had so much to offer this world. You would be missed cry cry

Crime / Re: A Nigerian Student Shot And Killed In Us by neelsel(f): 5:40pm On Dec 04, 2010
NO ONE wants to get involved, so sad, DOLTON | The lack of cooperation from residents in the neighborhood where a 21-year-old graduate student was killed last week is hampering the investigation, Dolton police said Wednesday.

"The mentality that we have now -- we don't snitch, we don't tell -- we need to do away with this," Dolton Police Chief Bolden Jones said.

Olubusayo Awomolo rode a bus Friday night from the University of Illinois at Chicago to his home on the 15500 block of Ingleside Avenue. He was shot in his driveway between 7 and 8 p.m., Jones said.

The man's body was discovered by his older brother a short time later. Police haven't made any arrests and can't explain why Awomolo would be targeted.

Awomolo graduated high school at 16 and earned a bachelor's degree from UIC before seeking his master's degree, Jones said.

"We all wish our kids would grow up and strive after education the way this kid has," Jones said.

Police could only say they were looking for a slim built, black male with a dark complexion, wearing a brown coat.

Police also are looking for a dark 4-door sedan, but couldn't provide a make or model for the vehicle.

Jones asked anyone in the area of 155th and Ingleside avenues during the time of the shooting to contact police. Those wishing to provide information anonymously can call (708) 201-3226 or speak with an officer at (708) 201-3200.

Only in Nigeria do we shamefacedly engage in criminal activities, brag about them openly, excuse it on the basis of "others are doing it", encourage others to do it "but don't get caught", claim it is God's will. Have we degenerated so badly? I remember less than 30 years ago you could fly to the UK without a visa now we need to forge documents to lie and decieve our way through.

Like Dis_Guy said, you know the white man does not care for the black man and yet you are going so far as to forge documents to go there? What hypocrisy.

All the best in your endeavours.
