The more you people debate this thing, the more annoying it gets. Whoever at this point does not know that the forged letter Guardian recieved originated from the meeting room of Sunny_bobo and his sponsors, that person is still a child at brain.

Boko Haram didn't make a typographical error in the English words, but Boko Haram could not simply spell Allahu Akbar in their letter. I find this very believable.

The letter is due signed as Boko Haram. The ignorance of Sunny bobo is that he doesn't know that the name Boko Haram is a derogatory name used to refer to the group and they themselves reject that name. How come they are now signing a letter as Boko Haram? It is like saying that MASSOB signed a letter as "inyamiri" or OPC signed a letter as "ofe nmanu". Will any sane mind believe that such a letter really originated from the group it is credited to?

When this jihadists attacked the police, after more than 700 of them had been killed, weapons recovered were 1 AK 47 Rifle, about 8 pistols (most of them locally crafted), 3 bows and more than 60 arrows, half a crate of bottles, several catapults and pieces of rocks.

So this is the cache of weapons that arrived from abroad with which they want to declare war on the Nigerian Government and people of the South?

Seeing the zeal with which Nigerians are buying this poorly constructed propaganda, no wonder Europeans believed that Africans were monkeys. Monkeys.

God bless you jare. That's all I can say to you.

The rest people that just challenge whatever somebody says just because, I'm sorry for you.

Even the Bank of England was a commercial bank that was nationalized by the Government. Why do people ask these strange questions as to whether the CBN has the right or the power. Why. Why not read what you can and find out?
Politics › Re: Boko Haram Ressurects, Declares Total Jihad by nex(m): 1:37pm On Aug 14, 2009
A whole Boko Haram leader does not know how to write Allahu Akbar.

Sunny_bobo, you and whoever your sponsors are should stop spreading these lies. The fact that the Vanguard was stupid enough to print it doesn't mean Nairalanders will accept it.

If at all you want to construct a lie, do it intelligently. The term Boko Haram simply means Western Education is an Abomination or is Forbidden.

The term Al Hakubarah simply does not exist.

STOP THIS RUBBISH!

@Afam

This story is absolute fallacy. Don't bother yourself with it. I will tell you what happened.

Italy and several EU countries have paid the Libyan government to stop foreigners using their border to Europe and Libya is doing its part to arrest all foreigners who cannot account for their presence in the country. They are not executing any illegal immigrants. The foreigners that are on Death Row, whether illegal or legal, have committed more severe crimes.

Now, there are thousands of Nigerian illegal immigrants held in a camp. They have no means of return and no Government wants to bear the cost. No government should because no government sent them there.

There immigrants have been there for a while now, but they know that the RAMADAN is approaching and since majority of Libyans will be fasting, it is clear that they will not be keen on feeding the detainees with three square meals. This fear has made the detainees seek desperate means of getting out of the detention camp ASAP. There are several radio call-in programs in Benin City where these detainees have called to express this concern.

Due to the fact that they see no urgency on the part of the Nigerian government to quickly repatriate them before the Ramadan starts, they've decided to employ scare tactics to alarm the government and people of Nigeria into coming to their aid.

So be rest assured my fellow Nigerians, nobody will be executed in Libya on the count of illegal immigration. They will only partake in involuntary fasting.

Nigerians should start taking responsibility for their actions. These people truly don't want to leave Libya. They just want to leave the detention camp. If they are released and sent home, 150% of them will return with the hope that this time they won't get caught.

This news came out last week that the 220 would be executed on Thursday 6th August. Now It's tomorrow and tomorrow it will be tomorrow. A poorly constructed lie.

Nothing dey happen.

It is their ignorance that leads them to the middle of the desert in Libya.

Leave them let them continue to wallow in ignorance. One thing I know is that even on Nairaland here, ignorance is being replaced by knowledge albeit quite slowly.

Politics › Re: Mend Clarifies Position On Amnesty And The "defection" Of Boyloaf by nex(m): 10:53pm On Aug 13, 2009
This amnesty thing after the bombing of Gbaramatu which saw the terrorist poetically appealing to their "brothers" in the Nigerian Army, is simply know as CARROT AND ROD POLITICS. Similar to 'good cop, bad cop' negotiation tactics, the carrot is first offered as an incentive for obedience. When it is rejected, the rod is then applied. Having demonstrated the negative effects of the rod, the carrot is then offered again with some extra incentive. If rejected for the second time, a rod raised to the power of 10 can then be used, after which the raw carrot will be begged for by the defaulting party.

So any terrorist that refuses to accept the carrot this time around, Boko Haram shall be their portion.

MEND themselves know what they saw at Gbaramatu. I was in the heart of the Delta from yesterday morning to this afternoon. They like enjoyment, they don't want to die, they don't like to cry. They better "amnest" now before the thing over dem.

ASUU should first release a list of those of them who schooled abroad when the Nigerian education system was supposedly in good shape.

@Kobojunkie

you're here again to come and chastise us again ba?

We were not expecting the Brutish to come babysit us. We hardly even knew who they were or if really they existed when they came down on us with their guns and canons to fulfil their God bestowed "white man's burden". So don't get confused when some Africans complain that the "white man" offloaded this burden which no one begged him to bear after making a couple trillion Pounds Sterling off Africans.

In as much as I'm not among those calling for the Brutes to return with their barbaric slavery, I have to state here that THEY OWE US.

Little Italy that didn't do much in Libya is already paying billions of dollars in reparation for their wealth stolen during colonization.

Rather than Nigerians to call the UK and say, guy come here. Please, all the money you just expatriated from us during those more than 70 years, we want them back. With interest. All the 70 years you occupied the entire 900,000 square km of Nigerian land, pay us the rent. All the people you killed in your unprovoked jihad against the good people of Nigeria. You will be fined for each life just like it was done in the matter of the Lockerbie bombing. For all the labourers you forced into your plantation you will pay $10/hour for the labour multiplied by 70 years.

We have to send Ojo Madueke to Buckingham Palace to tell Elizabethe that our labour and strife built that edifice. We have to ask them that putting the issue of the trans-Atlantic slave trade aside, Brutania owes us $21 trillion. For all your brutality, please pay up or else you may soon understand what social militancy means.

So believe me my fellow Nigerians. The United Kingdom and their Crown owes us a lot and we're not begging. We're demanding payment for work done and wealth created. Failure to comply will be met with 10 million Al majiris, 10 million Italian connection girls and 10 million Niger Delta youths at their shores.

This woman don cast the whole yankee. She think say na all those banta wearing countries she dey enter?

An issue that the USA government has been trying to sweep under the rug for eternity, this BUSH woman don bring out USA star spangled bra and pant, hang am under Nigerian hot sun.

I remember all the times I've talked about the rigging in USA elections and they wanted to crucify me. Hillary Clinton don come absolve me of complicity O!

Chai see diplomat! No wonder Yar'Adua can be bold enough to appoint Dora as Information Minister when it is apprentices that are now running the business.

This is the most stupid comment I've ever heard from a foreign representative.

I know this woman will not see fit to resign O! Sit tight syndrome don hold them for Yankee too. It was a less offensive statement that a Japanese Minister of Agriculture made some years ago that she publicly apologised and resigned. Yankee, no way. BUSH has brought Zaire politics to the USA and it shall abide there forever.

I pity this woman because I'm not sure she knew what she was saying. Either in an attempt to be homely, she don go drink "shekpe" with some area boys, or the Council of Traditional Rulers put a hex on her for the way she's been behaving.

See person wey say Obama doesn't have diplomatic experience. Kai! God forbid! At least Obama only bowed to king Fahd. This woman completely ridiculed the entire USA and has even prepared the way for her sack, for possible court cases between Bush and Gore, and for Jeb Bush to possibly face the grand jury.

The person that is saying we should take issues of occupying political office lightly is the same girl that was crying like a crippled cheerleader when she lost out in the democratic race.

Wonders shall never cease. Student wan teach teacher. I did mention earlier that my problem with the USA is that they will soak Garri in their house and come and sympathise with you that are drinking pap in your own house.

Politics › Re: Should We Call Our Colonial Masters Back? by nex(m): 5:51pm On Aug 13, 2009
@Fhemmy

you again?! You want to complain about Nigeria being ruled by us for almost 50 years now with nothing to show for it. How about the Brutish ruling Nigeria for more than 70 years. What do you have to show for it?

Now lemme teach you how revenue generated by the British in Nigeria was used.

The Brutes had companies who used Nigerian resources free of charge, then repatriated the profits to The UK where it was shared between the Crown and the Royal appointed company. Human labour was mostly used for free.

Now besides these monies being extradited to Europe, the locals were taxed too. Hut tax, cattle tax, land tax, livery tax, and other income tax.

70% of this tax was sent as pocket money to young Elizabeth whom at that time was just a child. Then the remaining 20% was given to traditional rulers to take care of themselves, build roads, schools and manage the state. Finally, the 10% left over is for maintaining the colonial officers, their families, their offices and residential quarters.

Now, when the time comes for rail or road construction, the traditional rulers will gather all the men in his domain and inform them that one day out of their week is now property of the Brutish Crown. You choose the day of the week that you will be a free slave to Elizabeth, or if you can afford it, bail yourself out in cash. The traditional rulers will then commandeer the temporary slaves to the site of work where the Europeans will supervise the work.

Apart from this direct slave system which I know you won't enjoy, there is the system of permanent employment slavery where if you are offered a job in the groundnut, cocoa or palm plantations and you know that the salary offered is less than what you earn from your own farm, they impose a tax on your farm and your hut that is more than everything you earn from your farm and threaten you with jail if you can't pay. So you have to work for them for the extra cash to pay your tax. Moonlighting between both farms.
