Somebody mentioned that somethings are beyond human understanding. How come Adeboye now understands them? Is he now God? I'm even afraid that that that his title of G. O will soon be accompanied by a D. Daddy General Overseer (G. O) will soon become General Overseer Daddy (G.O.D). His members will find this a more befitting name. Having attributed every other feature of God to him, why not the name. |
@mccloud224 you're the one saying all this. The North Americans have already cautioned their president to stop worshipping Arab kings because oil doesn't mean their nation should lose its pride. Obama went to Ghana to insure a stake in their newly discovered Crude Oil and some children are here saying rubbish about what they know not. Is Benin Republic not a stable democratic Nation? They should go there and praise democracy, transparency and peace. Why wait till Benin discovers a large pit of black gold. You hear them talk about Botswana everyday. Look deep into that country and you will see what the USA seeks. I'm surprised that some people here claim that Libya lobbied the USA. The truth is that Europe started to court Libya and the USA came along too in order not to miss out on anything. |
I'm sure Mrs. Clinton is not aware of the availability of International Media and the Internet in Africa. She feels that she can go to this country, shower praises on them and insult the others, then go to the next country, insult all other nations and praise the one their in. Has she not come to Nigeria now and she's praising the Nation and castigating the militants whom she will go to another country and say are freedom fighters struggling for emancipation. Shebi you people have heard what Clinton came to say to your corrupt leaders. They have done well and should continue fulfilling the promise they made. I wonder which promise the USA and corrupt Nigerian leaders have made in secret. 700 people were slaughtered like sheep. A man that went to submit himself in the police station was executed and she has nothing to say. She has nothing to say about human rights issues. Let her go to another country, she will condemn all these. She has come to Nigeria and showered praises on the government for their effort in single-handedly restoring peace, stability and democracy in Liberia. Tomorrow she will go to Liberia and tell them that Nigeria is a useless country and if not for the USA submarine and total inaction during the reign of Charles Taylor, Liberia won't be enjoying democracy today. Ojo Madueke has told her the message I expected him to pass on to them. The old ways of doing things is not good enough. It's a new world order. Your president cannot be bowing to Arabs princes and kings then some secretary will be backbiting us all over the continent and we'll not treat her like a wayward inlaw. Even the crude oil we're talking about is for the highest bidder. China is there, India is there, Europe too is there. Whoever has the money should come and get the crude oil. We're not fulfilling any military promise. They should go and meet Abdulsalam to fulfil their secret promise. Ole people! A foreign civil servant to address our Royalties! Abomination!!! |
@wirinet I see that you are not aware of the state of things in the world today. If you are asking the USA to give you assistance in solving the Niger Delta crisis, if they want to be honest with you, they will tell you to solve it the way they solved the Native American problem: wipe them out till they become a manageable population of less than 6%! If you are talking about financial assistance, then you must be wicked. They USA has latched onto China for financial assistance and China is basically the one sponsoring the USA's economy currently. I'm also sure you don't know that South and North Korea have decided to call off their war of about 40 years, but the USA which is the main sponsor of the war rejected this peace and said the war status should continue indefinitely. They're not physically at war, but the USA wants them to continue living in a state of virtual war. Is that not madness? We don't need anybody's assistance. This has become a world of 'bring what you have and take what I have'. Anybody that has nothing to exchange should go and die. For decades we have been importing from the USA, goods manufactured in China. Now we've gone to the source and they are vexing. How can we be expecting aid and assistance from the USA when they are in turn receiving aid and assistance from China. We can as well go to the source. The other day, the USA embassy in Nigeria started teaching us scriptwriters how to write more suitable scripts which are skewed with a pro-American theme. Their propaganda will never end. It's a new world order and the USA and Brutain should find their new positions to fit in. All this positioning and peacock attitude will take them nowhere and that's the lesson Clinton is learning today. The only reason Nigeria decided to look the way of the USA in the past year is because of the election of Obama. We thought they'd change from this BUSH attitude of theirs, but they are still the same. A foreigner address Nigerian Royalties?! |
This woman wants to come and gather various power blocks together and instigate them to struggle for power and control. If the Sultan of Sokoto had obliged her, you all would have heard the kind of praises she would have showered on him with little notes to remind him that prior to the Brutish invasion, the Fulani Sultanate was the power house of Nigeria. I can understand the sheer ignorance of the Nigerian masses who do not know that what the USA is out to do is spread disdain among smaller African countries for Nigeria and forment discord among all african Nations so that they can continue to use us for the next millenium. How do you think they brought Ethiopia from such a great height to a struggling landlocked nation severed from Eritrea, which itself is now not doing any better? Is Clinton a royal mother that she wants to be meeting with our royal fathers? If queen elizabeth wants to meet with the Sultan or Oba, I have on problem with that. It is time the USA like China, Japan, India and even Lebanon present whatever business they have to offer for us to know if It's acceptable rather than believing they understand old school Machiavellian politics more than the inventor himself. This is 2009 and everybody should compete in the new world economy with regards to what resources they have to bargain with not by touting sentiments and holier than thou sermons all over the African continent. She wants to tell us about equality of women meanwhile, her position as secretary of state rather than president today goes to show that the traditional USA citizen is still very bias against women leadership. Clinton should go and find a very good hair salon in Abuja where they can give her a befitting hairdo in order to get rid of that archaic wig she's been wearing for decades now. A foreigner wants to come and address the Council of Traditional Rulers. TUFIAKWA!!! |
See the people talking about Diplomacy and International Relations. I'm sure most of them were expecting that Yar'Adua would go to the airport and personally drive Hillary to Aso Rock. Have you ever heard Hillary Clinton criticizing the lack of elections in Saudi Arabia or even the Sharia law over there? Yet Obama will go to Saudi Arabia and be bowing to King Fahd (I mean this literally. The pictures are everywhere). Yet they will talk rubbish about Nigeria all over the world and expect us to befriend them. Diplomacy at It's mildest is by actions. The USA has employed the worst weapon of diplomacy which is blabbing. We are just starting and people are complaining. Nigeria is passing a message for all of Africa. We ain't you boy, we ain't your kid. We ain't in any alliance with you. It's an all comers affair. Someone has mentioned that the difference between Nigerian corruption and USA corruption is that in the USA, corruption is frowned upon. You all have been on Nairaland for a while now, we live in Nigerian societies, where have we seen Nigerians or even foreigners smiling upon corruption? Manuel, may showers of blessings continue to refresh you brain. I'm certain that Ojo Maduike is behind this. Remember he did tell us he'd pull something like this when he took office. Nigeria is the last stand for Africa. If we bend over and let any country fuçk us, then the whole of Africa is fuçked! That's what the enemy wants. That's what we'll not let happen. I only hope Britain is watching because as we tell their elder brother off, they should know we're cutting their chain all over Africa. Ole people. The USA has failed as nation. They have used this decade alone to become the clowns of the world courtesy George Bush. Now they want to start using others to massage their ego back to shape; Not Nigeria. |
I see this thread has been deviated to discuss all what not. I just want to correct one misconception: @akigbemaru you claim that Yoruba civilization has been in existence for more than 2000 but the Ooni of Ife whom I consider to be a better custodian of Yoruba History, Tradition and Culture has made clear to the entire world that Oduduwa came from Heaven and created the entire earth with his chicken and maize around the 1100s. |
This thread should be shut down by the moderator. It serves no purpose than to discredit an honest businessman and the entirety of Nairaland dealers at a time when foreigners are beginning to visit this forum in search of information, jobs and business. These kind of threads have infested the Romance, Religious and Politics sections and are now creeping into one of the few sane sections we have left on Nairaland. @ikeyman00 as Nigerians we must start learning how to work with arrangements and stick to them. Siena made it clear that there is an option of Nairaland expository essay, or that of phone. You can't choose the two. Why post here and also send a text? @Monitor_1 I hope you do with this thread what you see fit. Whatever it is, I've always trusted you judgement. |
I have a Gold Nissan Maxima 1996 now in Lagos. Price is N 700k. Post your email address so I can send you pics. Or send an email stating this offer to nexbestthing@yahoo.com thank you. |
@Patrickwood you mean when you want to befriend a country's crude oil? |
Awolowo wants God to "intervain" in the stock exchange. Very funny. Where have you seen stock exchange mentioned in your Koran or Bible? |
Putting it in quote transfers the notion that they spoke those specific words. Quotation marks are used to bring up the exact words used by someone previously. You cannot say and quote yourself when you're saying something for the first time. For there to be no confusion, don't use quotes any other place where you're actually not quoting and previous statement in Its raw and original form . |
Well, Nairaland has tired me too O! o ti sun mi. Na gaji da Nairaland. I have no problem with people painting Nigeria as bad as it is, where I start wondering is at the point Nigerians start painting it worse than it really is. Nigerians in the USA actually praised Hillary Clinton for saying that importation of refined fuels to a country that produces so much crude is a sign of failure of government. Meanwhile the USA does the same thing. They are saying a shareholder like Dangote should not be the NSE President meanwhile they say it was okay for Gerald Putnam to be appointed as President of the NYSE even though he had shares in several companies including the NYSE itself. No conflict of interest there I guess. Conflict of interest should only be taken into consideration in Nigeria. This is my problem with Nairaland politics section. But if I don't mention the issue of Tribalism, Osun will place a curse on me. My Brothers in trying to use Nairaland as a took to spread their propaganda, have turned the whole place upside down. Go to the religious threads, you will pity the Gods. Sexuality is another issue. I posted a thread about safe sex, condom use and HIV, only about 3 fellows came in. But start a thread with "I wan fuçk O". There's even a thread where people are asked if they liked anal sex or not. Go there and say you don't engage in anal sex and you will need 2 oil wells to contain the insults you will recieve. Well, it wasn't like this a couple of years back. People came in and discussed issues with their brains. But back then, you could be banned for not sharing the views of the moderators, you could be banned for wrong spelling, you could even be banned if it was noon and the moderator hadn't had breakfast. So serious people migrated back to their Yahoo Messengers, Hi5, and Facebook. Unserious people and juveniles came and hijacked the thinking of Nairaland. So here we are today. Where they've kept us. |
Even though I know Adeboye is not anointed by God, still I assure you, nobody is laying their hands on him. We're just telling it like it is. |
Una too dey beef successful people sef. If It's not Dangote, It's this Kase Lawal. The man is not a Nigerian. He's lived virtually all his life and build his business and family in the USA. If the most of you sometimes read Ebony Magazine, you will notice him being mentioned as one of the riches, most influential and successful African-Americans alive. CAMAC Holdings has done a lot of charity works not just in Nigeria but the whole of Africa. I first read about Kase Lawal in an issue of Business Africa on the count of social works his firm was doing in Africa. However, It's NOT BY FORCE!!! |
You people should tell me how many states were connected to the National Grid when your slave masters were around. 98% of Nigeria did not have powerlines, not to mention electricity itself. How many Universities were built over the 70 years your Oyibo captors held you and what percentage of Nigerians attended these universities. Abeg make una go faint. |
Stop shouting only in Naija when I just gave you the example of Gerald Putnam in the USA. 'find another thing talk'. |
Religion na politics, lots of people know all the tricks. Religion na politics, them are hypocrites and pharisees. |
@oyinda there was constant electricity when those country-nappers were here prior to 1960, but besides Ikoyi, where Baturai lived, where else was the electricity going to? Did the electricity reach a single household in Bayelsa or Kebbi |
Why would you put go to helll in quotation marks? Do you even know what quotation marks are used for? I don't believe Deacon Gamaliel Onosode will speak such words. |
Messages directing him of when and how frequently club 1,000 should be called to duty. |
@jimuchy So when they arrange this 24 hour electricity, do you think they will connect it to your house or only to their colonial offices, farms and oil pigs. As a matter of fact, I will let you know that by the time the Slave Drivers come back, they will not need more than the 2,500 MW Nigeria is already generating to run their business here forever. Go and ask your grandparents if there was constant electricity when their master, Lugard was in Nigeria. They will confirm that there was. Ask them if they ever used it, then you will know what we're talking about here. During the enslavement of Nigeria, the entire country produced less than 1,000 MW. Decipher how that was serving 60 million Nigerians with constant electricity. If your Oyibo master used electricity and any excess was left, they would channel small to the palace of the Sardauna, then the remainder would be used by their dogs, cats and other pets. |
If there is N3 billion in RCCG, will it serve a more heavenly purpose to give 1,000 teenagers in RCCG full scholarships to go to college or to buy a private jet for the prophet of God to cruise around the globe in style? Haba my people, use your brains even if It's once in a while. |
But it was and continues to be done in the New York Stock Exchange. |
Boko Haram! They should be watching NTA. The guy no know say government work dey boring? Imagine a government that is this slow, what can the workers do without a little infotainment? In Lagos It's allowed as long as they are watching LTV because the government uses specific stations to inform, educate and motivate workers. Anyway, he must have his reasons, but why segregate the big boys from the chaff? By the way, where do these TVs go when they've been removed from the offices? |
@Richyblack you're going too far by asking what Daddy G. O should do for Nigeria. Ask what he should do for the suffering, the sick and the poor who make up the majority of RCCG. |
I said Gerald Putnam was the President of the NYSE when he was a share holder in different companies and also a shareholder of the NYSE by virtue of the stake he had in Archipelago Holdings. He'd been previously investigated for his involvement in a suspicious trade which led to the collapse of REFCO. I didn't see you people complain when he was appointed in 2006 as the President of the NYSE. What is good for the goose is not good for Nigeria? |
I dey wonder how some people dey reason these days. Someone broke the law and because he's in a muslim country, he should not be punished? If he had committee murder in Nigeria, would the ultimate price for him had been death? I don't know whether these people think Yar'Adua has become Captain Amnesty that would go around the world absolving Nigerian criminals. So a murderer should be allowed to stroll the streets because he's Nigerian. Should they simply deport him like an illegal immigrant without paying for such a grievous crime? You people should be happy that this criminal was taken care of before he came back to Nigeria to continue murdering innocent citizens. Allahu Akbar! |
It's obvious that people are taking this internet of a thing more seriously than necessary. |
maingain:it is because of ignorance like this that the USA can afford to soak Garri in their own country, yet come and yab us that are drinking pap. |
