Politics / Re: Peter Obi Labouring In Vain by Ngozi123(f): 10:26am On Jul 04, 2022 |
Thinkam: Why are you talking about IPOB when Nigeria has been marginalising Igbos since the civil war? Don't pretend that anti-Igbo sentiments haven't existed in Nigeria since pre-civil ear days. |
Politics / Re: Kwankwaso: it Will Be Very Difficult For Notherners To Vote Obi by Ngozi123(f): 9:54am On Jul 04, 2022 |
omenka: I'm sure that Peter Obi is doing much better than you and others who think like you. In fact, I'm sure that all of those contest for the presidency are doing better than you people. Win or lose, they, their children and their grandchildren will still be richer than anything you can imagine. They will be able to flee abroad should any trouble come to the country. They will never have to worry about members of their family travelling to Libya, getting raped and becoming slaves just for a chance at a better life. You will though, and so will most other Nigerians. Yet here you are, making fun of this man who (from the looks of things) actually wants to break the wheel of corruption and poverty that has ravaged your country. Honestly, sometimes I think you people deserve your terrible leadership. |

Kwankwaso is just confirming what we've known for a long time: the real reason why a lot of Nigerians don't want an Igbo man to be president is because they fear that he will make it easier for everyone to go their own way. It's not because Igbos are tribalistic. It's not because Igbos love money too much. It's not because Igbos are politically naive. It's because they believe that an Igbo man would stop them from having access to that oil money again. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: 2023: Labour Party Will Labour In Vain - Soludo Mocks Peter Obi by Ngozi123(f): 10:27pm On Jun 26, 2022 |
fyneguy: Read the actual quotes in the article and you will see that Soludo is referring to those APGA members who have recently defected to the Labour Party. He is talking about a certain subset of recently joined Labour Party members, not Peter Obi and not the party as a whole. If you were at my company for 10 years and decided to move to another company, would it be bad of me to tell you that you leaving is like labouring in vain due to all the hard work you've already put in at my company? What he said was not an insult. 1 Like 1 Share |
Politics / Re: 2023: Labour Party Will Labour In Vain - Soludo Mocks Peter Obi by Ngozi123(f): 10:16pm On Jun 26, 2022 |
daddytime: It's not just sensationalist, it's completely wrong. Soludo was talking about APGA defectors to the Labour Party in his state, not Peter Obi. He said that them leaving after already having done so much work in the party is basically "labouring in vain". It had nothing to do with what was in the title. 1 Like |

press9jatv: According to your link, Soludo didn't say what you claim in the title. He was talking about the recent APGA defectors to the Labour Party in his state. Didn't @Seun recently complain about some newspaper using a misleading headline about Tinubu recently? Is this not the same thing? Why has this been brought to the front page? @Mynd44 |
Politics / Re: Throwback Photos Of Peter Obi Trekking To His Home In Lagos by Ngozi123(f): 6:50am On Jun 24, 2022 |
Islandlady: He said: "the only place I have a house [in Nigeria] is in Onitsha". That was in late 2018. Do you have proof that he actually owned a house in Lagos in 2018? If so then I believe that you are right that he lied about this. If not, however, then that just doesn't prove anything. |

Islandlady: Did you even read my comment? Yes, I'm fully aware that presidents in the West have covoys. That's not the issue though. The issue is making people wait for three whole hours just so that they can pass a road. You claim that you've travelled all over so tell me, have you ever seen that in a civilised country before? 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Throwback Photos Of Peter Obi Trekking To His Home In Lagos by Ngozi123(f): 12:30pm On Jun 20, 2022 |
Islandlady: Me? A newbie? Please sit down. I'm not bragging that I've been abroad. I was born and bred in a western country and have been a citizen since birth. This isn't bragging, it's just stating facts. The fact that you think someone stating that they live abroad is bragging is hilarious. 1 Like 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Throwback Photos Of Peter Obi Trekking To His Home In Lagos by Ngozi123(f): 12:15pm On Jun 20, 2022 |
Islandlady: It actually is. You support politicians having huge convoys where they make people wait for three hours just to pass but seem to look down on a politician choosing to walk with minimal security. What does this show you? 2 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Throwback Photos Of Peter Obi Trekking To His Home In Lagos by Ngozi123(f): 12:12pm On Jun 20, 2022 |
Islandlady: Well, if it's as you said and he claims that he doesn't have a house in Lagos then what makes you think that by showing a picture of him walking with a friend in that city in 2017, means that he lives there? Btw, I'm laughing at you attempting to make fun of the fact that I live abroad. Just goes to show your inferiority complex . 3 Likes 1 Share |

Ayoolamax: Yes, there is nothing wrong with having a dialogue and in my Igbo culture, we also respect our elders. For example, if my elder is sitting down and I am coming to greet him/her, I will bend down to their level. There is a lot about Igbo culture that Yoruba people do not know, which is why you make assumptions that we are disrespectful to our elders. No, we just understand that everyone, even a day old baby is worthy of respect as a human being. You cannot disregard a youth just because they are younger than you. We have a saying in Igbo that translates to: "a youth that has travelled and seen things is more knowledgeable than an elder who has sat at home." So, if I see an elder acting in a way that they should not be, I will call it out. A thief is a thief, no matter their age. |

Ayoolamax: Nobody is forcing you to do anything. Is anyone holding a gun to your head? Vote for Tinubu, Atiku, Obi or whoever. It's up to you. Just remember that it's yours and children’s futures that are at risk here. |

LegendHero: You won't find anyone in Anambra who's complained about Peter Obi's tenure as governor. He was one of the best governors the state has ever had. Before him, Anambra had a lot of security issues and he helped to curtail most of them. He left behind more money in the states treasury than he found when he first came in. Please do your own research on this if you don't believe me. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Richieniit: Thank you! The people supporting this have no value for human life. This is the worst period in Nigeria's history (yes, even worse than the civil war, where the only people really affected were those in Edo state and the old Eastern Region) yet you still have people who want more of the same. Atiku is a proven thief and Tinubu has already told us that he is the reason for Nigeria's woes (by putting Buhari in power) yet Nigerians want more of the same. They should keep voting for these people who want to waste theirs and children's futures. 1 Like 1 Share |

BaEnki: People are making an issue out of it because people like Tinubu, Atiku and all of the old men like them are a huge reason why such a convoy is needed. Tell me, if they weren't so corrupt and greedy, would Nigeria not be safe enough for its politicians to travel freely? |

Islandlady: You're supposedly a woman yet you're calling someone you don't know stupid. If you had ever lived in a civilised country then you would know that politicians are public citizens and should be treated as men, not gods. Also, the fact that you think me saying that I hope Atiku and Tinubu continue to suck your country dry means I wish death on you and your children is funny. So, you know that voting for them and allowing them to suck your country dry will eventually be the end of you and your children? You know the truth but your tribalism and myopism won't allow you to accept it. |

Echoban: Tell me where in the civilised world they will be keeping people waiting for three whole hours just for some silly politicians to pass a road? If they were abroad, these same politicians would be using public transport or ordinary cars yet you people are not ashamed. You deserve to live in a failed state where there is no security, jobs or value for human life. Carry on. |
Politics / Re: Tinubu's Massive Convoy (Video) by Ngozi123(f): 9:52am On Jun 20, 2022 |
Whiteshield: Who supported Atiku? You people keep saying "brother this, brother that" but if Osibanjo went for the presidency, I would have supported him too. It has nothing to do with tribe, only competence. |
Politics / Re: Tinubu's Massive Convoy (Video) by Ngozi123(f): 9:48am On Jun 20, 2022 |
Islandlady: Who told you that the person recording is my brother? Are you ok? It should not have made the front page because most of the posters in the first two pages used it to be insulting Igbos. The person that recorded might not even be Igbo yet you are here making silly assumptions. If you like, go and vote Tinubu or Atiku. In fact, I wish them both on myopic Nigerians like you. Let them suck your country dry until there is nothing left but dirt and sand for you and your children. Keep cutting your nose to spite your face. |

Pristine664: That you think someone stating they live abroad is a form of bragging shows exactly why Nigeria is a failed state. Your politicians live like normal people in the West yet they are treated like gods back home. Ask yourself why. |
