Daft people. What facts? You attempted to pass off a Goodluck project as Buhari's Then you couldn't name one other achievement Buhari has made.. So I will ask you again, what has Buhari achieved that isn't related to projects started by previous adminstrations? Without blaming low oil prices, what position is the Nigerian economy in today? Is it better or worse than under Goodluck or OBJ? How are things looking re security with rampaging herdsmen, Boko Haram and now new outfits like ISWASP? mtcheww.. Seems you were too young to know the routine back then. Award contract with lots of fanfare and media coverage, loot the money, election approaches, start a bit of work for political adverts, win election, rinse and repeat.
One wheel barrow of granite wasn't tipped on that site till 2017 under Buhari's administration. Same way G.E.J pointed at pictures of the 2nd Niger bridge for years till Buhari took over and accelerated the works.

OBJ is the father of the lopsided, haphazard political structures and destructive political practices we have today.
He singlehandedly gave the Senate the stupid salary structure they use to drain the country till today in his quest for third term.
OBJ squandered $16 billion on the power sector with nothing to show for it.
Almost 20yrs later we're still suffering it.
Nonsense, zombie with you self made fake upticks...
What has Buhari even achieved? Name one thing??
GEJ depleted our national reserves from roughly $57 billion to $24 billion with a handful of uncompleted, substandard and on-paper projects.
He ignored boko haram till it turned to the hydra headed monster we have today and even squandered the billions meant to be used to fight them.
We stood no chance with the oil price crash in 2015.
We're still paying the price of these 2 fools you eulogize while blaming the person they passed their over 20yr mess to.

DMerciful: Let every state control their resources, period! If that was the case, there is a chance Lagos would actually suffer economically at certain times. New York needed federal bailouts in the 1980s and recently due to the Coronavirus pandemic. London has also recently required a national bailout due to the pandemic, with a cool 1 billion pounds being required just for the underground railroad alone until Dec 2021. I understand your thinking, but were Nigeria run fairly and properly, Federal govt would actually bolster each of the states that comprise Nigeria. The issue for me is bad governance. Sadly the current crop of APC leaders rule with only the Northern region and its people in mind. If they engaged in less ethnic nepotism Nigeria would be working successfully. |

For those who are old enough, Lagos was already meant to have a 'special status', as part of the agreement when the abokis insisted on moving the capital to Abuja.
So this isnt anything new, it is Nigeria's New York so it should have a special status and way more funding. The Lagos light rail should receive additional federal funding for example |

eyinjuege: Nobody is pained by what you have said, and if anything at all you're the one sounding pained and moving the goal posts. It's funny how you feel anyone should be pained though, and I really wonder why. I am only trying to correct a wrong narrative. I gave some examples and there are many more btw. Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates have lost their marriages because of older women. Macron- President of France is married to an elderly woman with children probably older than he is. There are loads of examples even in everyday life, that I see around me. Men have been marrying single mothers since time immemorial. It's not a new phenomenon, and it's not stopping anytime soon. I am just telling you how things are in real everyday life. Not fantasies some people have built from their own imaginations. I specifically talked about alphas and simps because that's the usual excuse for many young ones on NL if things don't seem to fit the narrative in their fantasies. Perhaps when you get older and have seen life like those examples I gave, your disposition may be different. I definitely see IBB, Danjuma as alphas. Young men who took charge in their prime. Definitely not beta A time comes in a man's life that he sees beyond chasing young girls in Lekki, V/I. I wish you well young un Look I already said believe what you wish to believe.. As for young'un remark, I am flattered, as I am older than you think. I wont resort to condesension like you. I am actually happily settled down with kids. I am respected in my industry and I am well known by my peers. If you admire the likes of Danjuma, Atiku and co, interestingly some of that cohort I know personally due to my father; then perhaps you need to reflect on your values. Seizing power and abusing your position to loot govt coffers, isn't something to be admired in my book. It is at the heart of the problem with Nigeria. If you have travelled the world like I have, you will realise that such behaviour is viewed very negatively in places like Sweden, Denmark, Singapore, Japan and China. In the case of the latter it carries the death penalty IMO a man who works what is initially only a mere idea, brings it to fruition and earns significant sums as a result is the type of person I admire. But as you are a woman and few ever earn or have to earn large sums, perhaps it is harder for you to appreciate such a opinion. You merely want to be attached to a wealthy man, so how he acquired that wealth is of little concern to you.. Anyway, I have my beautiful wife who is calling, so I dont have anymore time to debate this issue with you. Have a nice day.. |
Celebrities › Re: Drake, Billionaires Want To Be Kim Kardashian's Next Partner (Pics) by nograv: 2:43pm On May 30, 2021 |
eyinjuege: They aren't exceptions. Many people even on NL grew up with step fathers because their mother's remarried after having them. Step fathers are not a strange concept in our society, and I personally have relatives who married single mothers, despite not having children themselves. Young men doing well in their own fields. You listen too much to Mr KS aka Mr Kitten heels, and real life doesn't happen that way. When you see such 'exceptions ', next thing you tell us is that these men are simps. When it comes to the issues of the heart, forget it. Maryam Babangida was a married woman with a child when IBB pursued her. Infact, she had once slapped IBB at the airport, as a first lady. A whole IBB, the evil genius chop slap by his woman. All cameras of journalist were confisticated that day. Is IBB a simp? T.Y Danjuma married a woman with children. Another military general, running things in Nigeria. The movers and shakers of the country causing trouble everywhere and making so called alpha men pee on themselves. Is he also a simp? Atiku has stepchildren after marrying a single mother. Is he another simp? I have more examples btw, to show you that it's not an uncommon phenomenon amongst us, for single mothers to remarry high value men who pursue them. It's not uncommon at all. There is a point in an accomplished man's life that the parity of a woman means nothing, about how he places value on her. I can see I have pained many women lol They are exceptions if the majority of men when presented with this scenario would not conduct themselves in the way you cited... Also please dont put words in my mouth. Nowhere have I used western words like simp etc. I have said that the majority of wealthy men I have met/seen would not choose a 40-60 year old woman with kids over a 25-27 year old who has no children. That there are exceptions I wont disagree. But if you gave the majority of men on this forum a few million dollars let alone a billion dollars they certainly wouldnt be running after older women with children. You know as well I do they would be in VI and Lekki chasing younger women up and down.. Also the men you cited are thieves, they arent high earners by virtue of work, so again this may also explain why this small subset of men have a different mindset. Being Alpha in my opinion is a man who has risen to the top of his field by virtue of his intellect and work. None of the men you cited fit this description. At the end of the day, believe what you want to believe, that doesnt neccesarily mean it is true. |

Reading the nonsense from them, one would think it wasn't just some years ago that Obasanjo spent eight years and GEJ spent over five years as president. Where were the "let my people go" noisemakers then? we didnt want to go, but as semi intelligent people were at the helm, we had no choice. Can you honestly say the failed adminstration of the vegetable Buhari can compare to the former two presidents? Of course not. If Hausa/Fulani want to rule, at least present competent leaders. Otherwise hand power to more capable Southerners, failing that let us go our separate ways.. |

One of them was even trying to accept her two children into his life i guess mum was a good lover so stop being deluded, evry man is not u All lies or again an exception to the rule.. Look I am a financier and software engineer. I know various other men of other races who earn a good living. Homes worth millions in dollars or pounds sterling. Men who are high earners, in good shape and with options are not chasing women in their 40s - 60s. If you look good and have a great lifestyle women actually come to you. So if these men are chasing her, they are poor quality men. I repeat no man, who is worth anything will pass over a 25-27 year old for a 40 to 60 year old woman with kids. The only poor quality men will chase such a situation. If the woman has aged well, a man will still probably hit and quit it. Or worse yet hang around only until a better woman comes along.. Chai women and delusional thinking.. I didnt make the rules of the game, I just say am.. |

Eriokanmi: That's not the case. I suspect sabotage...have you forgotten the preceeding airforce jets crashes...the one in abuja and that of maiduguri?
Our government can't be trusted. They lie alot. You can imagine them saying the jet crashed during a heavy rain whereas, someone just said there was no heavy rain in kaduna. They'd just say something to make people think it was caused by bad weather. The plane exploded in the air... an eye witnes said so. Had the bad weather been an issue or its possible cause, the COAS would have been advised not to fly or the jet diverts its course, worst case scenario.
I don't trust this government.
I remember Arotile's case as well. How can a car reverse on a road with speed bumps mounted at intervals, now hit someone and the person would die just like that when she wasn't lying on the floor and got run over by the car? Common!
I also remember when abacha was in power and he wanted to eliminate our uncle Gen Diya his second in command then. Thank God for that brave and loyal officer who hinted General Diya of the heinous plans of abacha( may his soul rot in hell) . Abacha had sent a delegation to mourn General Diya family even when the plane had not been reported crashed. He sent a team to commiserate with his family shortly after take off of the plane which eventually crashed as plotted. Gen Diya had to divert his course to a hostel where he was watching his death announced on NTA. I thought I was the only one who thought of that event. Ahh Abacha may he burn in hell |

The ban on open grazing wasn't done for fun, it was because of the associated violence with open grazing.
Herdsmen, were attacking sedentary communities as they allowed their cattle to roam.
The southern governors repeatedly asked for assistance with the issue and didn't receive any. So their conclusion, was the only way to reduce banditry and violence associated with open grazing in the absence of military or police support was to ban it.
If the activity of spare parts dealers in the north was directly linked to criminality adversely affecting populations their, then I would take no issue with them banning it...Mtchew... |
