E be like the one wey Moses wear when him dey carry Israelites comot for Egypt ![]() Plus the guy carry passenger wey carry large suitcase for leg inside convertible, Na by force to drive convertble? Him for find one nice used in Nigeria 504 GR wey him go take do him airport and movie set waka. |
Almunia must love playing against Barcelona |
Almunia no good! |
Diaby no good! Almunia no good! |
Almunia no good, Diaby no good, Squillaci no good, Denilson no good, Rosicky no good, which one of these guys caused the goal? none. It was the mini god Fabregas + he has been anonymous so far in this game. But that Messi is mad o! The guy height keeper inside important game? I fit break that guy leh! |
@ Buzugee A bit OT but why dont you sell your red P to someone that needs it and you can chill back home in Nigeria. Let the people that want to crawl through libya do so. You were fortunate enough to be born in England. Let them too go and give birth to their kids in England abi? |
For commercial cars, diesel makes sense because you get better MPG and more torque. It is however not true that it is cheaper to maintain diesel engined cars compared to petrol. It costs more in the UK to maintain a diesel car than a petrol car. I personally prefer petrol cars even though I am aware of the better MPG you get with the diesels. I just hate that dreaded tractor rattle you get with diesel cars. Dont preach to me that the rattle isnt there on mordern cars. I was recently in W204 C200 CDI and the dealer had an AMG badge on the boot! lol. I could hear the tractor rattle from inside the car even though the car had warmed up (dealer was picking me up from the station) and the windows were up. If you do not do many miles per year, you may not actually reap any benfits by buying diesl plus you lose that refined sound you get from a petrol car. IIRC, on average a diesel car costs about £2500 pounds more than its petrol equivalent although some manufacturers are blurring the lines now and it is sometimes costs the same or cheaper to buy a diesel equivalent when buying brand new but rarely on the used car scene where diesel car always have a premium added as compared to their petrol equivalents. At the pump diesel also costs 5p more. I drive about 8000 miles per year. It will take me approximately 6 years of driving my car to justify buying diesel over petrol. Example Miles per year: 8000. MPG: 30mpg (petrol) and 40mpg (diesel) Fuel costs (avg): £1.20 (petrol) and £1.25 (diesel) It will cost £1450 a year in a petrol car and £1135 in a diesel car to do 8000 miles a year. That is a difference of £315/year. If the diesel car costs £2000 more than the petrol equivalent, it will take you approximately 6 years to justify spending that extra £2000. Dont forget, you get the tractor sound, some items like fuel pumps and Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) will often go wrong and you ultimately lose the refinement of a petrol car. I understand your question is based on Nigeria but I only haver figures for the UK. Based on what people are saying about diesel being double the price of petrol, it makes absolutely no sense to go with diesel in Nigeria plus maintenance will probably cost more as there are few mechanics who can work on diesel cars and there is scarcity of diesel as well. |
Naija done improve gan o! I hope I am wrong but it seems like most people posting replies live abroad. In this same Naija wey one person go call himself omo onile come collect ya rightful property na him una dey talk say make OP go court. OP, if you know what is good for you, you better find some area boys wey go help your stubborn tenant pack him load. Abi u no dey watch home video? I may be wrong though. If the houses you let are the types they let to expatriates at 5 digit dollar figures then you may have to go to court but if na face me, I face you type or normal duplex in areas like Egbeda, Shomolu e.t.c, then the area boy advice will be your best solution. Do you not know what real lawyers charge? I am not talking of those charge and bail guys outside the court house in Ikeja, I mean real attorneys. |

asscend:How many of those weak link players were in the team when the Gunners failed to beat Birmingham? For these players it is a case of damned if you do, damned if you dont. They couldnt win away at Orient and the so called Arsenal fans say useless players they can beat ordinary Orient. They beat Orient at he Emirates, then the same M.U.M.U ppl come and say it was only Orient. Thank goodness their opinions dont count in the scheme of things, In Arsene we trust! |
where are all those original M.U.M.U that come up with rubbish like Arsenal cant beat ordinary Orient, Rosicky is finished, Squillaci is useless, Denislon is blah blah blah, almunia slept with my wife, running thier mouths all the time like they r menstruating from the mouth, chatting rubbish all the time claiming to be Arsenal fans, we will not see them on a nite like this because shame to bad people! |
@ Biolabee everyting bless! |
@ Biolabee Dont watch the 49 posts mate. I had a different handle and was banned. Funny enough it was for arguing Arsene Wengers case. You cant can blame players everytime they have a poor game, You should include Fabregas on your list for pressing the self destruct button against Tottenham, Szcezney for today, V.persie for days when he has missed sitters and even Nasri for days he hasnt turned up (many of such days last season) Imagine if Wenger sold Nasri last season because he was underperforming? If every manager thought like most of you guys on here, teams would have a complete change of players every 18 months or so. If it was left to you Wayne Rooney with a miserly 5 Premiership goals this season would have been sent to a detention camp in Siberia. @ chamotex Most of the guys on here are not real Arsenal fans they are just masquerading as such. They are mainly noisemakers. Duduspace is one of the very few Arsenal fans on here who can see beyond his nose. I always wonder where he gets the energy to argue with these plastic fans? |
chamotex:Is that Eldee the half baked musician? Since when did what a journey-man Nigerian musician thinks become relevant to how a spaniard plying his trade in the English premier league decides his future? Naija people self and the people they look up to ![]() |
biolabee:Again, dumb analysis. Van Persie went off becuase he was injured. How did Rosicky staying on, make us lose the game? If Chamakh or Bendtner scored from a Rosicky pass and Arsenal won the cup, you would have been one of the clowns claiming Wenger is god. You are clutching at straws mate. |
until we buy a world class keeper and throw off players like rosicky, diaby, squillaciSomeone called Biolabee or something like that made the statement above on page 96, How dumb are some of these people that claim to be Arsenal fans? He listed 3 people, 2 of them were not involved in the game today and one of them got Arsenal 3 points mid-week ![]() Just like the dumb English press, he thinks a world class goalkeeper will win Arsenal trophies even though for the past 8 weeks they all thought the rookie one was good enough. Their belief is that Arsenal will win a trophy as long as Almunia wasnt in goal. Osi o da ni le kpako |
ddippset:I am not giving excuses. Birmingham were the better team on the day and could have had 3 goals in the first half. You wont see me on here like the so called fans that you guys are rubbing the loss in their noses (and deservedly so) making noise about Arsenal and critisizing one player or the other and claiming to know more than the Manager. |
*Cougar*:Koscielny played no part in the cock up! It was the rookie keeper that messed it all up, any decent defender listens to his goalkeeper as the keeper can see what he cant hence the resaon he withdrew form the ball when he heard the shout from Szcezny. We saw this happen between Toure and Hart earlier on in the season. With all of Kolo's experience he left the ball once instructed by Hart and the mix up resulted in a Blackburn goal. |
mbulela:He sure is crazy! I rate him though, I just hate these so called plastic fans claiming one keeper is rubbish and one is 'god'. Left to Arsene Wenger, Manuel Almunia would have still been his No 1 keeper but he just had to drop the dude to get the muthafoooking English press of his d.i.ck. Tell me; which manager makes an inexperienced 20 year old goalkeeper his No1? Spare me the story of Casillas, A star is born once every 100 years. |
Manuel Almunia must be the happiest person in the world today!!! All the idiotic fans that called for his head must now realise (unfortunately in an important final) that all goalkeepers make mistakes. Our so called saviour Scezeney was flapping for the Zigic goal and made a total mess of the Martins goal. I hope the plastic fans realise today that one man doesnt make a team. Osi o da ni le kpako. |

texazzpete:Kid? ![]() Macho men on Nairaland!!! Can you tell me which dangers otside what is normal for military forces did the SAS face flying and landing C130s on landing strips in the open desert picking up British citizens from known locations. Like I said, the French and Germans flew into Tripoli all throughout last week to extract their citizens? |
Anyone who understands the British press will know this has been blown out of all proportion! This 'daring' rescue was no different to the coastguard flying a search and rescue helicopter looking for people onboard an capsized yatch. It isnt like Libya has deployed its military's air defence systems to intercept and shoot down 'enemy' aircraft or a case of thousands of soldiers having been deployed in a full scale war. What is going on in Libya is street protests with a serious crackdown on the protesters by the evil forces of Gadaffi. What the protesters are doing is a 100 times more impressive than what the British military has done. The only 'daring' thing the British did is to have flown into Libya probably without air traffic clearance from the Libyans. This is no big deal considering the fact that the French and Germans where doing that all throughout last week in and out of Tripoli Airport. |
Former Tottenham defender, Dean Richards dies aged 36 ![]() http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/9408254.stm |
See people blaming Almunia and Squillaci (Usual suspects) when a League One player is dancing round the defence (not that I am blaming Miquel and Gibbs). Some peoples lives are dedicated to moaning. They spew rubbish like deadwood, useless, disgrace blah blah blah e.t.c. but in reality they know nothing about football and are just glory hunters. Did you expect Leyton Orient to roll over and let Arsenal win. Manchester United could only manage 1 goal against a team 4 divisions below them and Man City with ll their money had to repaly a round 4 tie against Notts County, a club 3 divisions below them. Chelsea the current holders are out. This is the beauty of the FA Cup!!! For all the armchair critics without a clue masquerading as Arsenal fans, Arsenal are still fighting for Four, yes Four trophies and we are at the end of February. I guess none of you moaning losers who claim to be supporters envisaged that at the beginning of the season. |
@ KCJazz Thank you one million times! Sending you to school was money well spent on the part of your folks! Unlike many on here, If you are chanced with running a business (maybe you already do) there is a 99% chance that the business will flourish. Many on here can not differentiate between morden day football and 'dropping N10 to play table tennis set' |
I had some spare time on my hands and in light of the current spending spree by premiership clubs; I put together the cost of the current Arsenal first team. Szczesny - Trainee Sagna - £7.5 million Djourou - Trainee Koscielny - £8.5 million Clichy - Undisclosed Walcott - £5 million Song - £1 million Wilshere - Trainee Fabregas - Trainee Nasri - £12.5 million V. Persie - £2.75 million The total amount for players we have figures for is £37.25. There are 4 players on Arsenal’s books who joined as trainees of which nominal fees of less than £0.5 million each will have been paid for 3 of them i.e. Fabregas, Djourou and Szczesny who joined from other clubs. Wilshere started with the Arsenal so no fee applies in his case. Clichy was signed for an undisclosed amount and I’ll use a ball park figure and assume he was signed for £2.5 million in 2003. I doubt the figure will be this high considering the fact that V.Persie was signed for £2.75 million in 2004 (1 season left on his contract at Feyernoord) and Alex Song was signed for £1 million in 2006. This brings the total value of current first team players to £41.25 million. This is £10 million less than Chelsea paid for Torres and the entire team cost only £6 million more than Andy Carroll. In fact Cristiano Ronaldo is worth 2 Arsenal first teams. My conclusion to this is either one of 2 things; Football has gone crazy or Arsene Wenger is a magician. |
@ Beaf All your examples dont back up your argument. Like it has been said, Slander is a civil matter. The UK case that you cite about a boy banned from the US for life is also not correct. The police took action because of threatning contents of the boys email and not because he called Obama a punk! |
So sad |
@ Kobojunkie I normally enjoy your arguments and usually agree with you but I am afraid this time around, you are talking out of your @$$. @ Frankc So you do not think a man that has ruled a country for 30 years isnt a dictator/ despot? |
buzugee:I dont know about N48 million, Last I heard was that Jubril was on like N22 million a year but maybe with all the other allowee the guy money fit enter N48 milla. I no fit lie, I dey envy the guy, the dude must be like 33 or younger and he already made director! But what you have to understand is that for every Jubril, there are 10,000 sufferhead. There are people he started with in the call centre that are still on the phones or have resigned in frustration. Like someone said, Senior mangement in Nigeria are paid those high figures by some multinationals in because of the 'Nigerian' factors that have been put into consideration. If you pay a CEO in Nigeria the equivalent of £100,000 which is around the average amount CEOs earn in the UK, the CEO in Nigeria will have a difficult time to maintain a standard of living comensurate with the office he occupies. Think about it, if the man rent house or mortgage house for Ikoyi, thats N10 million out of N25 million per year gone already. |
