Unfortunately these 700 doctors missed the boat and should have left those shores long ago. I dont know about the US but until Aoril last year it was quite easy for doctors to apply for a work visa, come in, do their PLAB while doing other jobs to keep body and soul together and thenstart working almost immediately after passing PLAB even if it is just as a locum. Things have changed now and it is more difficult if not nigh on impossible with the current visa regime.

It is a shame that this is what they are rewarded with after staying back and sacrificing for their country.

There is no such thing as hard button qwerty keypad. In the smartphone world, devices with physical keyboards are known as qwerty devices.

I like a phone with both. I started off my smartphone romance with a touchscreen (stylus required) only MDA Compact II but since then, I have had qwerty ones namely HTC TyTN II, HTC TouchPro 2 and HTC Desire Z. Touchscreen input is fine for short text, Whatsapp, Twitter entries but when it is something more involved like typing a letter or other long documents, I need a physical keyboard.

The majority of smartphone users are leisure users and mainly use their phones for social media and the likes, not text intensive uses so the smartphone manufacturers cater for their needs. This view is supported by the just concluded Mobile World Congress in Barcelona where the major players introduced new phones but not one qwerty device!

It used to be quite common in those days. Most of the people I know that were born before the 90s had only about 10-16 months spacing. These days, you want 2-3yrs in between children to maintain your sanity, especially outside Naija.

I dont know the kind of people you know o, maybe Ajegunle people or hoodrats but my parents were well enlightened back in the 70s/80s. 5 children and all are 3 years apart: '71 girl, '74 girl, '77 boy, '80 girl, '83 boy.

It is a well known fact that phones stolen or obtained fraudulently in the UK find their way to foreign markets because they are blocked and rendered useless in the UK. Go on Ebay or Gumtree and you will loads of adverts with the caveat ''will only work abroad''
