Acidosis:You are lost mate. no redemption for you. |
highland:What should tithes be used for then? |
maki:Relax and think deeply babe. Do you really think on the last day, judgement day, the good Lord will send you to hell for using that N20,000 you could have given your church as tiithe but didnt because you had doubts but instead bought clothes, food, toys e.t.c worth the same amount and took it to a motherless babies home where the suffering of young children was clearly evident? If the God is just like the Bible says he is, IMHO the issue will not even come up on the day. |
Nobody is saying BH isnt a terrorist organisation but there is always 2 sides to the story. Story says 1. Police kill BH at funeral, 2. BH retaliates, sacks police station and kills policemen and some collateral damage, 3. police go round community where BH is suspected to be based long after militants must have left, pick up random men and boys and summarily execute them on camera, 4. BH step up game and cause maximum damage, 5. Police repeat 3 above. The cycle of violence continues. Are both the police/Army and BH not terrorists? I find it hard that some people can not just see beyond this North/south, christian/muslim issue and critisize wehat the police/army have done. |
I just searched for a video of the executions of harmless men and boys picked up from their homes and some of those boys are so young and harmless. A policeman even ordered that one of the guys to be executed shouldnt be shot in the head because he wanted the guys hat. Even men using crutches to walk were executed. The heart of man is so wicked. |
pobey:storyland, storyland land of music fun and tales storyland, storyland bring your friends along. Talk is cheap moorafuker! |
All na mouth. If it was that easy, the US would have naturalised all these charlatan pastors (conmen) to help them destroy Al Qaeda, Al Shabab, Iran e.t.c. Nigerians have been praying since 1960 but no improvement. I am afraid, in this situation action speak louder than words. And why the glorification and mass publication of what Oyedepo has said. Why dont you let us just witness this madness and death of Boko Haram and praise the Lord for his miracles. I will revive this thread after the next Boko Haram strike. |
bankylan:You sir, is a slowpoke!. Where in that quoted scripture does it say not to talk abou men of God? |
Why does the slowpoke who sent you the email care about the wrath of God on those who chose to call out dodgy pastors? Does he love those people more than they love themselves. He is trying to blackmail you so you can censor the threads about thieving pastors. they realise Nairaland is unlike their churches (busines centres) where the word of the pastor is final. i wont be suprised if the originator of that email is a direct representative of one of the jet owning, rolex wearing morden day pastors(con men). Who is a man of God? Is Jonathan and other politicians, men of devil. there is no special position knwn as man of God and If we are all Gods children then we are all men, women and children of God. Why is acceptable in the eyes of morons such as the one who sent you the email to rain abuses on politicians but not pastors? Erastus Akingbola is a pastor, why didnt the EFCC leave him alone because he is a man of God. E no go better 1000 times for Oyedepo and all the other pastors that have held their mumucious congregation in perpetual slavery. |
Lol |
great news for economists while the common man continues with shuffering and smiling |
Black people are more racist than the white people theyalways accuse of being racist. Apart from some people like the person who started this thread who understand politics and study manifestos, majority of black people who voted for Obama did so based on the colour of his skin. I wonder why the man is called black anyway. He is just as black as he is white. I dont live in the US so I do not know how his coming to power has improved the lot of the ave rage African American. But across the world, his reign has been no different to any imperialistic US president from the past. I hope the lives of all the dumb and ignorant Africans jubilating thousands of miles away in far fung places have improved because a black man became the US president. Riots in black communities in London - check Destabilisize a prosperous African country (Libya) - check Continue Draconian sanctions against Cuba - check Guantanamo Bay stays open - check Continue to pamper to zionist wishes - check Continue to threaten war democratic countries which do not support ur evil foreign policies (Iran, Venezuela e.t.c.) - check Keep suporting friendly dictators in the ME (Yemen, S.Arabia, Gulf states) - check Black men jubilating all around the world remain the poorest - check. Mission accomplished |
F@ck Oyedepo hundred times, yeah I said it, what! |
Cos they get rich of the backs of their dumb morafooking congregation! No one will hate Bill Gates if today he decides to becomes a pastor and starts buying private jets. Why? Because everyone knows his source of wealth. 90% of these so called pastors come from their villages to Lagos with 1 shirt on their back and one in their bag and within a few years of setting up their business erm, I mean church, they start to flaunt their ill gotten wealth without as so much as a pure water business. How come when all these so called pastors are asked for the source of income they are usually only able to point to is some rather obscure book publishing business. Even Wole Soyinka that won the highest award in the world for literary writing can not boast of a hundreth of the wealth of these fraudsters erm, men of god. |
Interesting. God knows that 99.9% of those arrested are innocent civillians picked in the immediate and suurounding areas of last Fridays bombings. |
So until they run out, we should expect more chaos? |
Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who survived a gunshot wound to the head a year ago, said Sunday she would step down from Congress this week, setting off a political scramble in Arizona to fill her seat.http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970203806504577177104220138674.html In a country where politics isnt about getting rich but serving the people, a true representative of the people will resign to look after their health rather than die in office. Nigerian politicians need to borrow a leaf from Rep. Gabrielle Giffords's book. |
Like Pcicero said, this is a moronic thread and the person that started it obviously is a slowpoke. I know I should ignore this thread and let it die a quick death but just had to school morons comparing apples and oranges. People in America protested against wars in Iraq but did you see anyone protesting after 9/11? Terrorism is a security issue and should be dealt with by the security agencies and government. Who exactly will people be protesting against, Boko Haram or the government. People protested against pensions in the UK, did you see them protesting after 7/7? Israel suffers from continiuous terrorism, do you see Isrealis protesting. Like I said, It is fro the government to deal with. Fuel susbsidy removal is an issue with wide reaching social implications hence the reason why Nigerians from Aba to Zamfara protested with one voice. Armed robbery is a menace in Nigeria why dont you ask people to start protesting against armed robbery? |
frosbel:Stop fooling yourself. The UK has a functioning economy where the wealth is shared amongst as many of its citizens as possible. Can the same be said of the Nigerian economy where a few are stupendously rich and the rest live in poverty. The NHS is light years ahead of any healthcare system in Nigeria. I see a lot of health tourists coming to the UK from Nigeria but I havent heard of any in going in the other direction. A friend of mine still called me 2 days ago asking if I knew of any surgery where a recently arrived health tourist from Nigeria could register to have her baby without being asked for her papers State education in the UK is again light years ahead of state education in Nigeria (where it exists) Crime is much lower in the UK than it is in Nigeria. I have lived here for 10 years now and I or any memeber of my nuclear family have never been a victim of crime. Compare that with my preceding 10 years in Nigeria where: 3 armed robbery raids on my house, several car attacks, place of business robbed, several close shaves e.t.c Paedophilia, I agree is a big problem in the UK but we only know about it because it is well reported by the UK media. I was watching a re-run on Nigeria Idol this evening and one of the contestants relived how she was violated at age, 8 in her grandma's house. I will bet my last kobo there isnt a police report for that incident. There is a drink problem in the UK but again this is something we are aware of because it is reported. I have lost count of how many of my mum's drivers came to work reeking of liquor at 6am in the morning. Alcohol is openly sold in motor parks and only God saved my friends and I from death by drink driving in my University days. If they used the same yardsticks as used in the UK to diagnose Depression in Nigeria, I am pretty sure close to 150million Nigerians will be declared clinically depressed. |
Road accident |
I remember an occurence like this a long time ago that was shown on maybe Newsline NTA many many years ago. The correspondent asked one of the men chopping the whale what was going on and the mans reply went thus : ''I have never seen anything like this in all my life of being a fisherman, it is so big, All kinds of meat are in there, goat, fish, even Turkey is there'' |
E no go better for GEJ and all his family members. |
The guys explanation about taking the picture with the money was lame! he should have just left that out or he should have come up with a better explanation. |
koolsasy:I'm wishing on a star To follow where you are I'm wishing on a dream To follow what it means |
Cant they just share it N6.5 billion to each one? Man's greed knows no bounds! |
Technology is the making, usage, and knowledge of tools, machines, techniques, crafts, systems or methods of organization in order to solve a problem. |
@jmaine Didnt you go to school or was it a case of u not listening? Technology is not an invention! Lokito |
Aeroplane. I still marvel at an A380 taking off and staying up there for up to 15hours. I know people will say its physics and all that but I think it is witchcraft (white) ![]() |
@ Seun Have u ever left Abeokuta before? Providing social welfare is one of the most important duties of any state. Eventries the most prosperous countries have a social safety net. No country has a hundred percent employment rate so @ any one time there will be a certain percentage of the population in need of help and that is where social welfare plays its part. Having this type of system helps to greatly reduce crime. In the UK, the unemployment allowance is like £64/ week and the minimum wage is approximately £270/week. I know which one I'll choose. To be honest it is better for the govt to pay anyone who is happy to live the rest of their life on £64 a week from my taxes than for that person to feel left out and become a menace to me and my family. |
To the person lying about Benin - Ore road. I travelled the Shagamu - Ijebu Ode stretch in November and with 4 guys in the car, it was a less than pleasant experience as each one of us shouted to the driver to either swerve left or right everytime we carme up to a pothole. This confused the driver and he went into almost every pothole. If you say your journey on the 2nd was one of your best, it is either you are being economical with the truth or your flight from MMIA only took you as far as one of the undeveloped west African countries. |
Of course PDP will win in 2015 and every presidential election after that until such a time when there is a coup or the country is nuked. You guys do not practise democracy in that God forsaken country. My 2015 prediction PDP's Namadi Sambo will be President with ponmo lipped Ngozi returning from the World Bank for her 3rd stint as Minister of Finance. PDP will win 87 senatorial districts PDP will win in 28 states PDP will win 600 LGAs Bookmark this page! It is either Nigerians are too dumb or the PDP has perfected the art of rigging. The last presidential election was a disgrace to 'democracy'. The south voted for Badluck despite him being in a party of thieves and assasins and the north voted for Buhari. What is democratic about that? |
@ beaf You see why people hate u. You incite and lie! Does fashola have any authority over PENGASSAN? Like Negro said he was only pleading and has no control over what a union does. So what does game over mean? U were the same guy that said this strike will acheive nothing and it will be business as usuall. it doesnt look like that to me after 5 days. You tell me you do not work for Jonathan but yet you are able to post twenty odd thousand posts on Nairaland alone almost 24 hours a day in his favour. It is obvious you dont have a full time job as you spend all of your working hours putting out posts in favour of GEJ so people have worked out that you can only be doing this if you are getting paid for it. |
