PoliticsRe: Gej Launches Database To Trace Vehicles by norrisman: 8:40pm On Sep 08, 2011
How dumb are Nigerians that they will fall for any small shakara use of english words? Beacuse some lokito have heard database they are jumping for joy and giving the president kudos. Is there not already a database of cars registered in Nigeria? You know when you buy a car and you go an register it at the licensing office, do they not enter the records such as name, address and registration into a database or is Retardeen telling us they just record it in a 2B exercise book?

U guys are really cracking me up. I hope this new found belief in the judiciary is real and not just mere wishes based on contempt for Mr Ogunade. See people dey talk say the man will suffer in jail. In the same Lagos that you cant start digging the foundation for a house until you settle omo onile, the same Lagos that you have to settle before your C of O is released, the same Lagos we all know Tinunbu is milking and yet he walks free. I dey laff!. I say again, nothing will happen to the Mr Ogunade. All he has to do is grease a few palms and he will soon be able to rent his house to more deserving tenants who are willing to pay.

Useless tenants have been forcefully evicted before, they are being forcefully evicted as I type and will be forcefully evicted tomorrow and nothing will happen. If you cant pay the rent, dont come to Lagos! I have done it before and will do it again if the situation call for it. I evict you and board up my house, chikena!

I wonder why those wrethced souls in Mr Ogunade's house only claimed they had up to N1.2 million in the house, them for claim say dem wim lottery put N100 million for house.

@ Ournaija

Good for you if your parents are charity workers (allowing tenants live rent free) but obviously Mr Ogunade can not afford to do that. You show your ignorance of the law by saying the tenant will live rent free. There is no such thing as rent free. The tenant may chose not to pay his rent but that doesnt mean by some miracle the rent is not due. If you care to know, the tenants have been evicted already and the house is boarded up. The landlord also has the right to seek legal redress to get any rent owed paid up. He may lose his house in the process? LMFAO! Do you think Nigeria is China or what? Like I have said and will continue to say, let any lowlife scumbag posing as a tenant refuse to pay my rent, then the thing wey him eye go see, e go regret say him come Lagos. How many of these scumbags can even afford to seek redress in court.

How dumb is that statement, when you vote for a man who is a member of the thieving party called the PDP and yet you say you only voted for the man and not the party huh

Again I say; scrs Odebele Jonathaon the clueless monkey!

Half-caste is seen as derogatory. It is better to use the term Mixed race.

As long as he has Nigerian blood in him, what seems to be the problem?? I personally think the programme should be scrapped or at least made vouluntary

@Wesley

There was a DG about 10 years ago called General Oki who is from the south but he was shamed out of office for dipping his hands.

Well done Mr Ogunade! You will soon regain your freedom that is if you havent alreadyas I type this. All these knobs claiming rule of law better understand that it works both way. If you understand the law, you will know that Mr Ogunade will be released on bail and  the case will carry on in court. But the most important thing is that he has evicted all the low lifes who refused to pay his rent.

When Mr Ogunade was toiling to build his house where was the government? Where were the lowlifes posing as tenants? Now you want to deprive the man of his livelyhood. Look at the amount the illiterate lowlifes had at home and yet did not want to pay the old mans rent. Woe unto them!

Kudos to you Mr Ogunade for championing the cause of landlords all over Lagos state. These scenes will be repeated all over Lagos state and the thieving government of the overhyped buffon go tire.

Nothing but pure drivel from Mr Friedman. If he isnt an apologist for the great satan, he should know that Venezuela, Iran and Nigeria do not have dictators or monarchs. The great satan has directly contributed to retarding of democracy in oil rich countries such as Saudi Arabia and the affluent gulf states by their unflinching support for the monarchy in these countries while paying lip service to enthrenchment of democracy in those same countries.
PoliticsRe: The Face Of The Man Who Bombed The Un Building by norrisman: 9:45am On Sep 06, 2011
It is easy to sit here and rain abuses on the stupid dead man but that will not solve anything. It is best to understand the root causes of events like this. If Nigeria was never amalgamated then cances are this man would never have gone on a suicide mission. If Hutus and Tutsis werent forced to live together, we probably will never have had the Rwandan genocide. If Israel wasnt forcefully created on another mans land in 1948, then we wouldnt have the everlasting problems in the middle east. If India wasnt made one country then demarcated we probably would not have the everlasting fighting in Kashmir. If Tripolitania and Cyrenecia wasnt made one country, we probably wouldnt have the ongoing civil war where 50,000 have been killed. There are many other exmaples where people have been forced to live together by powers that be and we can see the present day results. I don twant to sound like I am blaming colonialists for our problems in Nigeria but for them to make the same 'mistake' of forcefully making people with different beliefs and cultures live together in so many different places makes it look like it was a delibrate act.

These people ruled us for so long and I am sure they saw our weaknesses and in their grand plan used it aginst us. What we are witnessing all around the world must have been their grand plan. Even in Europe where we think they are very civillised, they fight amongst each other in places like northern Ireland and in Spain.
PoliticsRe: When Will Gej Stop Supporting Libya Rebels? by norrisman: 7:03pm On Sep 05, 2011
This isnt about Gadaffi. I cant rememever seeing any threads on here mourning Mubarak or Ben Ali when the Egyptians and Tunisians had their revolutions and kicked them out. Those where proper revolutions started in the capital cities of the respective countries and without outside intereference majority spoke with one voice, didnt take up arms and they kicked out dictators.

In Yemen, unarmed civilians have been protesting since January 2011 when a group of students started a protest in the capital Sana'a and  thousands of civillians have been killed. In Bahrain, unarmed protesters have been protesting since February 2011 and again in this case the protests started in the capital Manama and about 50 people have been killed.

In Yemen, the government used and is continuing to use the military against the protesters and In Bahrain, the government with the help of the Saudi Arabian military crushed the protests. Now compare this to Libya where the protests started in the eastern city of Bengazhi and in less than a week, the so called peaceful protests had turned into a full scale armed insurrection. Now regardless of who is in power, dictator or not, the government has a right to put an end to an armed insurrection just like Nigeria did against Biafra.

Based on what I have explained, which people should the UN and NATO be more concerned about? The unarmed protesters in Yemen or Bahrain or armed groups waging a war in Libya? Why is NATO still bombing the city of Sirte if its mandate is to protect civillians? Gadaffi is no longer in power but yet NATO continues to bomb certain cities with civilian population in what is a clear case of completing regime change which was their agenda from day one otherwise they would be protecting the residents of Bani Waldi and Sirte from the rebels.

The truth is that although powerless, many have wisened up to the antics of the imperialists and neo colonialists and can  now see them for what they are. The imperialists will continue to support dictators who do their bidding (Museveni, Biya, Campaore, House of Fahd, Gulf state dictators e.t.c) and continue to haunt those who are not powerful enough like China but are brave enough to tell it as it is (Ahmedinajad, Chavez, Mugabe)
PropertiesRe: My Landlord Insists On 1year Rent. by norrisman: 3:59pm On Sep 05, 2011
In the UK, you pay monthly because 9 times out of 10 the landlord is also paying for the house monthly i.e. mortgage. In Nigeria, landlord builds house with his cash and yet some fools dont want to pay complete. Make you try that nonsense for my papa yard! You go regret the day you were born. All this people talking about go to court and wasting their time. Where is a wretched tenant who can afford to pay me my N250,000/ year going to get money to pay even an ordinary charge and bail lawyer? nonsense and ingridents!

Kossy

OT. I am glad the Iranian revolution happened otherwise Iran would have been one of the many countries in the world the great satan is holding by the balls. I am a christian but do not fear islam.

The 'revolution' in Libya wasnt popular unlike Egypt or Tunisia and unlike proper revolutions which should help a country break free from shackles of oppression of neo colonialists, this one is delivering Libya and all its resources to neo colonialists on a plate! Them imperialists must be rubbing their hands with glee in their western capitals.

For posterity, please preserve Libyan records e.g GDP, exchange rate, foreign debt, crime and even human rights pre March 2011 and refer to them and compare in 5 years and then you be the judge of what this 'revolution' was really all about.

God help you if na my papa house you know want pay rent complete. The thing wey your eye go see u go regret say ya mama born u. What u leaches forget is that your prayers are that you should become a landlord one day and I hope you tenants refuse to pay your rent complete then you will know how it feels.

Maybe I have been away from Nigeria too long but all this take him to court business is making me laugh. maybe if you are paying top dollars somewhere in VI or Ikoyi then yes but if you are part of the majority renting in Akute, Iju, Ejigbo, Egbeda, Mushin e.t.c. then you better think twice. It will take omo onile less than 2 hours to remove all your property and less than a week for a new tenant to be found

Awon oloshi oloriburuku. You go tell me whether Fashola 10kobo dey inside the money wey the man take build him house

And finally to all the fools saying you can live for free for 1 year, I lived for free for 3 years e.t.c. It isnt rent free. Just because you have refused to pay rent doesnt mean the rent is not due and if you are happy to take a landlord to court then be prepared for the landlord to take you to court to recover his unpaid rent.

does it take a rocket scientist to know the folly of migrating to places like that? huh

unless most of these people are being held in libya against their will, why didnt they leave when the fighting first started? huh

a black arab was lynched months ago after being accused of mercenary activity, and i'm surprised there are still some black africans in that place.

lord have mercy.
Pray to God that you never find yourself in the shoes of these men and women in Libya. You think it is that easy to up and leave a war zone. It is even more difficult if your roots have been planted deeply in your host country/ community moreover this thread isnt only about nigerians, It is about blacks in general. What would you have had the indigenous black population of Libya do?

With all the violence against non-indigenous people in the north of Nigeria, there are still tousands who choose to remain in the north. According to your theory, these people that continue to stay in the north are all idiots.

Which country likes immigrants? Black people are not liked in many European countries including the UK (This is proven by the rise of number of voters for far right parties in France, UK, Nethrlands e.t.c.) but yet we countinue to troop there on a daily basis. Until the war, we had never heard of any widescale organised persecution of blacks in Libya and many Nigerian men and women were making a life for themselves in the country.

how exactly do we know nigerians and black africans arent in fact mercenary fighters in libya? huh
There could be black and maybe even Nigerian mercenaries in Libya but the majority of these people we have seen captured on TV do not look like mercenaries. If they were, Gadaffi must have used juju cos he must have been paying them peanuts as they all look unkept and dirt poor! They would have been better off staying in Nigeria, getting a few AK47s and robbing banks with all that  mercenary courage they have.

Nationality: Nigerian
Sex: Female
DOB: 21 Sep 89
Place of Birth: Benin

I am 101% sure that that poor lady (God rest her soul) in the video posted by Smooth was just another Benin lady passing through Libya hoping to get to her ultimate destination, Italy. Nigerian woman fighting as a mercenary? I dagger belle, tear yansh. Who wan die. If Nigeria had even half the number of people these terrorists from Benghazi are claiming to be Nigerian mercenaries, the corrupt Nigerian politicians will be sh*ting their pants.

Listen to this track called Libya Story by Don Ziggy, a Benin boy who made the same journey from Nigeria to Italy via Libya. This woman most definitely embarked on the same journey before she met her untimely end in the hand of the racist rats of Benghazi backed by their imperialist masters in western capitals

How did Gadarfi came power
Does he have monopoly of knowledge
Assuming b4 this uprising he drops dead will Lybia extinct.
There is this cliche about one over staying his welcome. Gadafi did over Stayed His welcome despite his good intentions. 42 years haba
I will not support life president for anything as the saying goes variety is the spice life. As for countries with leaders like Gadafi is a matter of time.
The west might have their peculiar interest but they are not the problem of Africa.
I share your sentiments and cant understand why one man should rule a country for so long but the question is why does the west help Libya yet every year it sell billions of dollars worth of weapons to Saudi Arabia, one of the most repressive governments in the world. They were partners with Mubarak for 30 years and still support African dictators like Museveni, Biya and campaore. They are presently helping the dictator Saleh iwho has been in power for 32 years in Yemen. The rebellion in Yemen started before that in Libya but till date we havent heard of the west trying to help Yemen achieve democracy. They also said nothing when the friendly Bahrani government crushed the rebellion in its country.

Finally, like one poster already said isnt it ironic that the Arab league full of dictators is supporting the west in bringing democracy to Libya. The west continuosly go after Iran and claim they have no democracy yet Iran is the only country in the region apart from Israel which practises democracy. The west will also make you believe that there is no democracy in Venezuela

Do these Nigerians look like your average mercenary? These are ordinary young men who were trying to make a living in Libya or use it a gateway to Europe. Why is it that in the video, the Gaddafi supporters are strictly black . Mercinaries would at least need a local soldier in their group to know what to do. These men were just in the wrong place, with the 'wrong' skin colour at the wrong time.

Foreign AffairsRe: The Lies Against Brother Leader Muammar Gaddafi by norrisman: 11:02pm On Aug 28, 2011
I don think anyone supports Gaddafi per say and I would have been glad to see his back if a real revolution as occured in Egypt and Tunisia took place in Libya. What NATO has done is akin to helping Yoruba rebels overthrow a Hausa president whose capital is in Kano. You realise that in Africa, tribal sentiments play a big part in our politics and as such no matter how bad a leader may seem, his people will usually support him till the end as was witnessed by the huge turn out for Pro Gadaffi rallies in mid July. I dont think you can coerce 1 million people to march on the streets for someone they hate. You can also see that it looks like they are fighting to death in Sirte.

You refer us to the BBC website (LOL), the same BBC that showed a rally in India and claimed it was people celebrating the arrival of the terrorists in Tripoli, the same BBC that has not mentioned just once the attrocities being carried out against black people in Libya, the same BBC that claimed Gadaffi supplied his men with Viagra and ordered them to violation women en masse (another LOL).

All this mercenary business is made up and do you know why you now believe it beacuse it has been repeated to you so may times on 24 hour news channels and now you think it is the truth. Many of the people that are being rounded up and executed by the terrorists are migrant workers (There were over 200,000 of them working in Libya before the war)  from sub saharan Africa including Nigeria like we saw on Channel 4 news tonight and the other day on SKy News when a Nigerian man was trying to get the attention of the Sky cameras to come to his rescue (

@ Deji

Respect to you for trying to school these people but I have given up cause like you pointed out the media is too powerful and I am afraid we have lost the battle.

Latest tweet about ongoings in Libya from @georgegalloway (former MP and anti-war campaigner) ''Alex Thomson of C4 news saved the lives of Nigerian workers on the news tonite. if cameras hadnt been there the men would've been lynched''

How can any sane African man support the attrocities of rebels under the guidance of NATO in Libya when it is a known fact that 'blacks' are being killed just because of the colour of their skin. These people that support NATO's actions need to ask themselves one simple question? Why is NATO so concerned about democracy in libya but not in Saudi Arabia where women are not allowed to do the simplest of things, drive! Is it really democracy in Cameroun (Biya - 29 years), Burkina Faso (Campaore - 24 years) Uganda (Museveni - 25 years) and about 15 other countries in Africa that have sit tight leaders. Why are the UN and NATO not spreading democracy to these places.

Only in Africa will you find 'black' people celebrating the ethnic cleansing of fellow 'blacks' on their own continent. The UN, EU, USA and UK who thought nothing of Apartheid until 1994 are by some miracle, 16 years later now fighting for the good of the common African man. Very laughable.

3 of midfield

Thats 6 of the first 11 out so please put things in perspective. Also many new players have had to be called on very early due to unfortunate circumstances and it will take time for them to gel. You can only spend what you have so for all those calling for Arsene Wengers sacking (like it will ever happen), any new manager that comes in will be tied down by the same constraints. After all Real Madrid lost to Barcelona 5 nil last season.

Arsene knows but today he didnt know not to replace Coquelin, it was like he thought Arsenal could equalise.
