Shut up and make sense so because ur population is huge so you should walk into people’s countries uninvited without permit and break laws no wonder u live in sh..ithole.
.I can personally count the number of houses in Accra, a city you called capital city.. A city where you can't find 5 story building. Look, Ghanians need to burry their head in shame. Your country is way too understand developed to make mouth in public forum. Now let me remind you that many Ghanians are are scattered all over Nigeria, the reason is not so obviously is because Nigeria is big. Two of my tenants in Lagos are Ghanians. If I may ask why are you guys crying over our border closure? Do we share border with your country?

Actually, i'm stil in Nigeria struggling to fly out someday...

Now why do i want to travel out?
it is because i've lost faith in the Nigerian dream, i feel deep within my soul that my fate does'nt lie within the shores of Nigeria.

How am i going to raise the funds since i'm as broke as hell?
i'm gonna hustle and hustle hard...its a sink or swim situation, and you knw what? I'm swimming.

Will i have regrets when i eventually leave Nigeria?
Yes, i'm a Nigerian by blood n soul i breath 'naija' ultimately wherever i go i wont spend more than 35yrs before i return permanently to naija.

God bless
The different is outside Nigeria you can do jobs you won't do in Nigeria. Many Nigerians are in Italy doing car wash, and if they do say thing in Nigeria they would make money too, but shame won't allow them.my brother farming is becoming lucrative now go into rice farming and forget traveling abroad for now.

Jobless Nigerians researching on other country markets on whether they're doing good or bad, focus on your country problems and report them to enable them stand on their feet and work their ass out.
No sensible human being puts his family business outside. For every 10 reported negative news about America there is 100 more unreported. That's called country integrity. Even though they criticise their politicians but they love their country. Most of you Nigerians don't know this. You think you most abuse your country just to get to your politicians. The politicians care less about your country that's why they are stealing your money. Go fight them and let your country be.

all law enforcement in Nigeria are corrupt
FRSC is different guy. I can personally testify to this.In 2008 I was driving along upper sapkonba road in Benin city without my license. When they caught me I taught they were Going to request for bribe. I was shocked when they gave me federal government account number to pay in my penalty fee of 5k..sincerely they are far the less corrupt government organization in Nigeria.

That's why we are blacks. In Europe if u capture such animal alive and hand it over to zoologists u become a hero with reward but here the 1st thing that comes to mind is asun. After eating it what next? See the way they are even happy carrying it to slaughter. Chai. Even keeping it as a pet and feeding it is better off than slaughtering it to eat. No animal is wild when managed properly. The moment u feed them well they become ur best friend and they ease out stress thats why the whites are always happy. Damn.
If you do eat cow ,chicken, fish or any other meat you are as guilty as the guy. Or you don't think those animals you feed on their fresh deserve to be alive?

Why will they come and start any company here... a country where hordes of other companies are running away? the roads are a bad, consistent power is almost non-existent, clearing your goods cost almost the cost of purchase and shipping? It'd be better the government fixes these ills at first. if despite the enabling environment, they still refuse to site their production facilities here, then it becomes a matter of economic sabotage and should be fought to a standstill.

My main fear is that three to four years is too short a time for anyone to start a company and expect to attain profitability. Whoever risks it to borrow and begin local production of these same banned goods now, the same person may not find the environment so encouraging after this current dispensation ends.
you made some valid point. Electricity in a real problem. As for the roads I don't think they are that bad as you made it seem.many other companies are running there business in Nigeria despite the bad road.

that's not going to happen

because companies usually set up closer to where their raw materials are and it is much more easier to transport finish products.

No one wants to set up production line in an underdeveloped market
and Ghana market is developed? Lol. You Ghanians won't keep your mouth shut. That's how you guy where busy boating your hands on your chest, but since the border got closed who is begging now?

Afrter all, all the major treaties in ECOWAS are brought by Ghana
Then go ahead with your success and leave Nigeria out of this.

The product am bringing from Mali is from Mali.
The hides is from camels skin, I go to Mali and join them in roasting it, with fire and then later with the high intensity sun found in the area, its not something you just come and buy ready made , if not they will sell rubbish to you, as you won't get the desired quality, so to a large extent, I am involved in the processing of those hides and skin.

This is also a raw materials for other finished goods in Nigeria that are exported, that's the irony of the whole thing.

This policy is a poor policy, it is not good for the economy of the nation.
i feel really sad for you bro because I was also into exportation business, realy sorry about this. But in all honesty Nigeria will benefit on a long run. Have you heard of MLM companies like GNLD,TIASHI,HERBALIFE and Co? When they are coming to Africa their first destination is Ghana, and funny enough they survive in Ghana because of Nigeria market.Ghana markets are just Accra and Kumasi, that's all.. So if the borders are closed this companies will have no choice then to come straight to Nigeria, because that's where the real market is.

Lol the corrupt Nigerian official lied to Ghana? To use any corridor you would need Ghanaian license they can't enter. Ghana also has to submit list of companies. Benin wouldn't be dumb enough to engage in tariff war with ghana. Maybe Nigeria would do something dumb like that without considering retaliatory tariff that makes their situation worse.

Lol hypocrites always exposes themselves. You want these same foreign companies to invest in Nigeria so you export products to ECOWAS nations. You think closing your land borders is how to attract foreign investors?
Ecowas without Nigeria is as good as nothing, so we have the bargaining power. Why do you think ecowas have not issue any statement since the border closure started?

I once said that the closure of these borders is not a properly thought idea, but some ignorant entities were ranting up and down.

Rice is not the only commodity that passes through a border. There are a lot of genuine business that passes through the land border.

If you are importing or exporting to some of the west African countries, it's easier and more cost effective to use the land boarders than the sea port.

Imagine a man exporting textiles to Ghana from Kano, how possibly will he do that through the sea port in APAPA?

I am totally against rice smuggling but the government should have come up with smarter ideas to deal with this issue, and not shutting down the whole boarder.

Presently I have about two trailers of hides and skin from Mali parked at the boarder incurring bills, with high possibility of spoiling within the shortest period of time because of its present condition.

How do I import from Mali to Nigeria through the seaport?

It is only those that does not understand what happens at the land boarders that are jumping up and down.

Once again I reiterate my stance against smuggling rice through the boarders, but we have to be more tactical in handling certain issues as regards to our economy.

This boarder issue in Nigeria is like a fly perching on a man's scrotal sack, you have to apply wisdom in dealing with it, if not you may end up hurting yourself terribly bad if you hit it with great force.
The timing of the border closure is bad, but the idea is good. Those products you are importing from Mali are they made in Mali? Probably a foreign company produces it in Mali with Nigeria market as mail target. That's the issue the gorverment is trying to solve. Let the companies come and Establish in Nigeria and create jobs for our people.

Nairaland famiy I need help.

Somethings been eating me up. I had sex with my boyfriend some weeks later i started falling so sick I will try to point out all I can remember
*Came down with what I felt was fever was burning hot so hot you just need to come close to feel the heat

*at night I sweat. Not just the usual sweat but one I have to change my clothes two times a nigbt(this happened for like a week)

* I started feeling so cold especially in the morning. Doctor said it was pneumonia + a cough that lasted for three weeks plus.

*and the rashes I ve never have in my whole life spreaded all over my arms and back as well as my breast region.

* I also had serious muscle ache. Serious that my mom had to help me massage it. My neck did hurt too it felt like someone hit me with a blank on my neck

* nodes on my neck, groin, as well as ear.
* I started having blurred vision and sores on my lips like fever blisters

* and then injuries in my mouth, weird ones
* I have oral trush at least thats what I thought them to be. White tongue I have had this before but this onr is different. With slimy white things in my mouth every time

*I also experienced dehydration and dry mouth.
* also had a delayed flow

The symptoms are so much I can't even mention it all. Most of these lasted for about a month +. I still have cold till this day. I shiver most times and its my major fear. And the rashes are still there.

This Is the major problem. The nurse who was handling me said it might be an STD maybe HIV I took plethora of test including HIV after 3 months all came back negative, I was told to wait 6montgs to check for HIv again it was still negativr. During this month I have seen so many doctors, private and government all they do is givr me drugs but I still experience the pneumonia cold( no cough) and occasional mouth sores as well as the rash. My boyfriend now my ex took HIV too it was negative.
Please doctors in the house what can this be. I have read so many threads here on naira land of people who had same experience but some later turned + they might be lying though.

I heard after 6 months and test is still negative then its not it. My question now is. What is wrong with me. I have spent so much on drugs and test. And no doctor is able to say what my problem is. Its making me crazy as I am even scared to shower because of the cold and I can't let people see my body due to rash.

I need help.
Eat more ripe fruits and vegetables. Stop eating fried foods, very important advice.. Within a week your cold will disappear.

go and feed your 200 million poverty capital of the world citizens. Do you know the meaning of trade. It goes two ways.Did you listen to the man.Ghana will rather block trades with Nigeria and rather trade with Dubai and Europe.Already trade among West African ECOWAS members is the lowest in the world. Ghana exports gold, timber, oil, manufactured products, etc worth 17 billion dollars and out of it,just 80 million dollars goes to Nigeria. So how does a few loss not even loss cos the products can be sold to Europe and China. How does 80 million dollars feed Ghana. Tell me.It's your own people that will suffer cos you can't trade among all these countries again and no imports and exports for them thus businesses and jobs collapsing in Nigeria. Food and goods more than double in prices and majority of your people can't afford such high inflated living. You can't even feed yourself thus closing all your borders to starve yourselves and you're ignorantly shouting that you feed Africa.Despicable words.
if Nigerians we suffer why they are you crying?Sorry OK?
