People tend to forget that as much as the church is for sinners it is also a refuge for new converts, former backsliders, baby Christians etc.
When someone who had issues with lust repents, takes refuge in a church and begins to see that there really is no difference between women in the church and the world. He then falls into lust again right there in the church. |

doctokwus: Same thought and questions I have. Visionscape can't be collecting same sum now because they would virtually be doing very little if any refuse collection again. If they will still be paid same amount for doing virtually nothing,it wud just go to confirm that this was a scam from the onset, just like the new land use charge. Kindly read the article, visionscape will pay the psp for the waste they collect from residents. There's nothing like they are being paid for doing nothing it's more like psps are helping out visionscape and they are being paid by visionscape for it. Read the last paragraph please. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Are Christians Allowed To Have Sex After Traditional Wedding? by NoToPile: 8:09am On Apr 05, 2018 |
lukeosi4life: I have read many comments on this issue. I noticed that must of the comments are not well defined. When you read the Question very well, the OP start the question with the word "As Christians". As Christians, you don't suppose to have sex with your partner until you're join together as husband & wife in the church. God himself conducted the first wedding between Adam & Eve. God joined them together as husband & wife. Wedding in the Church is a compulsory thing if you are a Christian. Having sex with your partner after your traditional marriage is not good for you. You are breaking God's law of marriage. As such, you denied yourself from his blessings. You win parental blessings from traditional marriage but you win God's blessings when you bring yourselves in God's Presence (the church). And God puts walls of protection and seal of His blessings over your marriage. So, you must abstain from sex until you're join in holy matrimony before start having sex with your spouse. I disagree with you sir. White wedding is a borrowed culture. Biblically once you are married according to the culture where you come from you are married it's that simple. In Nigeria we say it's dowry payment, in India it's different, different countries different marriage processes once you fulfill the requirement according to where you are from, you are married in the Eyes of God simple. I am not against church wedding but saying that it's only parental blessings you receive from traditional marriage and you receive God's blessings at church wedding is wrong. God is present when your dowry is being paid and it is recorded. Has anybody wondered why marriage committees in churches won't wed one with another person if one of the parties that intend to wed has paid the dowry of another person before or as a lady your dowry has been paid before. Infact even if it's just court wedding you did its recorded in heaven that you are married that why I pity those who do arrange registry wedding. Solemnization of holy matrimony is good but when you are indirectly saying that if you do not have a church wedding your marriage is not sealed by God then that is wrong and unbiblical. Besides this question is coming up because a lot of my brothers in the east put a lot of space between traditional and white wedding. I know south west peeps don't, maximum 2 days both trad and church is done and dusted. When there is a timeframe of about 6 months or more between the trad and the white this question will keep coming up. Besides a lot of Nigerians have turned white wedding into a jamboree, it really isn't about the solemnization anymore it's about show off. |

Farmerforlife: Suffered what? That you have to increase the size of the meal? Or that you have to say a couple of good mornings extra? Is that what is leading to stress that will end your life? SMH. What you are suffering is a blow to your possessive pride, led on by all the feminist nonsense that many women take pride in; that your husband has dared to go against your wishes and is favoring his family instead of you, inspite of how you have 'suffered for him'. Let me tell you, what you have supposedly suffered with him is not up to a tenth of what they have done for him, so if you feel bad about him not serving you alone, think how they feel, and digest that. Your approach is needlessly confrontational and over dramatized, and even your second 'explanation' with all its parables, proves that.
As for your ineffective wishes for my life, I will have you know that any woman who thinks that she can replace my family in my life will be shown the door, double quick. I will not allow a woman to dictate my relationships, or my family ties with petulant remonstrations. In my opinion, the only mistake that your husband made was that of permitting you to believe that his family ties are negotiable. He should have made a firm stand from the beginning.
I only hope you don't behave this way with his family in front of your children, or else, the pepper they will show you when you are old will open your eyes. By the time their wives start on you, with their open support, you will understand what you have done.
Best wishes. You are being biased and unreasonable abeg, I believe you are a man. 6 months accommodating inlaws that make your wife and children miserable is unrealistic to the extent she ended up at the hospital. The fact that the eldest child hate the grandmum after their stay is alarming, children love grandparents. Your woman is also your family and extended Family ties are negotiable, when family tries to hurt the wife and kids then all bets are off IMO. Men should let them know you don't hurt my wife and children pls it's that simple, they will caution themselves. |

eyinjuege: In fairness, private hospitals have no business running emergency services. It all depends on what sevices they offer. If they dont offer emergency CS, then they don't. No private hospital in the UK offer emergency services. Its same with many developed countries. Usually, if they have one of their known patients come in for elective surgery, and it gets complicated, they will bluelight such patients to their general hospitals. Ocassionally if the surgeon who owns the patient is around and its just a minor thing like controlling bleeding in the patient, he will take the patient back into theatre provided its daytime as there will always be anesthetists around. If the surgeon is not around, or its at night where they can't get anyone, they will call an ambulance to transport the patient out to govt hospital that has emergency services.
I dont believe anyone would tell a woman who needs an emergency Cs to wait till next day or 2 days later. That part of the story is untrue no matter how poorly trained the healthcare assistants are . Its just to make the story sweeter. They may have told them they only do operations on certain days, but definitely not ask them to wait till then. Even those that have never worked in hospital know that. Ahaa that's what I thought too @bolded. |
Health › Re: Pregnant Woman In Need Of Emergency C-section Turned Away By Hospital by NoToPile: 12:04pm On Mar 21, 2018 |
eyinjuege: Their surgeons may only come on Mondays and Wednesdays for planned cases. Any case that becomes an emergency on Tuesday will have to be referred to another hospital as they dont have the skilled manpower on Tuesdays. If an emergency comes on Monday or Wednesday, they will be lucky as they have the personelle on ground on those days, and can be squeezed into their surgery list. This is obviously what happened in this case, its as simple as that. Shouldn't a private hospital have someone on ground always that can do a CS? For health centers it's understandable and a lot of lagos health centers have ambulances on ground incase there's an emergency case for transport to the general hospital. |

amakadihot87: .......general hospitals do......they have no value for human life They may fix day for surgeries but not emergency surgeries and definately not CS because it may be required at ANY time. They may schedule a surgery for a particular date which is normal but saying an emergency cs can't happen because they have specified days for surgery is just crazy. If they do surgeries on monday and Wednesday and an emergency CS has to be done on Tuesday it's plain wickedness to say they can't do it because surgeries are done Monday and wednesday. |

Very strange
There's a reason why it's called emergency CS, it's an emergency it wasn't planned.
Which sane hospital has specified days for CS. Something that may be required at any time. |

Hmm if only young people know the implication of sexual sins. One sexual act can set back the course of your life for 10 years. Some never recover, for some when the glory departs, it departs , some are lucky enough to have a second chance some are not that lucky.
Especially people like oba who's destiny is tied to sexual purity( there are people like that)
If only we know.
