erictus:Well since you have prayed about it and you are positive about her chill, if she's yours to be things will work out and even if things don't work out God will always provide another person.' |
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I do believe in 'asking God' about a marriage partner, the way they are going about it is what is somewhat questionable. You as a person / Christian have you prayed, have you sought the face of the Lord concerning the marriage. I believe when it comes to marriage matters, you should pray yourself and You should get a response from God YOURSELF, if you cannot pray about the person you are going to spend the rest of your life with and be certain that it has heavens backing then there's a problem. Let her go and pray, you too pray yourself things shall be revealed unto you. Whatever any pastor or prophet is telling you should be something you already know. By the way those prophets may not be wrong |
34webers:Bros as much as I am against over hyping prices, you are wrong about sisisioge generator. It's Honda, I am not a generator specialist but I know Honda gens are in a class of their own, you just can't compare them with all these products out there, Honda generators are extremely expensive. Those who know it know it. Those generators are rugged till death. |
Must you write your love letter to your spouse on social media? |
Am I the only one that saw that part of the requirements for the FRSC job is that the applicant must be single. |

I have always said it that most of the ego massaging comments by doctors on nairaland are made by student doctors/ fresh doctors. The doctors that have reached their peak don't say or do such. It's always the same set of nairalander docs that jump on every thread saying same thing no professional courtesy or mutual respect for other health workers. I have noticed it. The young docs are also the ones who don't respect patients. The bosses know everyone is important but a fresh doc on nairaland will be running his mouth up and down. |
greggng:No vex bro Tribalism is bad in all honesty but experience is what makes people say they won't rent out to this or that tribe, it has nothing to do with hatred. When something seems to be common with a particular set of people that's how we have sterotypes. Some of the complaints I have gathered range from 1. Not paying subsequent rent when the first rent is due and not leaving the property. 2. Subleting 3. Not taking care of the house it's mostly a wreck by the time they leave 4. Every small matter is straight to police station, no dialogue and you know nobody fancies court case. But then anyone from any tribe can still do all these. @topic she should have left since, when an issue is getting to jazz/ charms level e get as e be besides Landlord tenant wahala is quite difficult to intefere. Every brutal landlord you see out there was taught by a tenant so I personally don't blame landlords. |
bukatyne:@bolded I wonder ooo @topic people are saying ordinary food Food is not ordinary when you have lean resources, a lot of families are managing. Food stuffs are expensive now even those of us living in areas where you have farm markets not to talk of those in town. Wifey should be the one to cover that end. |
Xisnin: ![]() You saw through it too. Nigerian men want a woman who will support the home but not one who has small financial advantage over them. Case 1 if a woman says I want to be a full house wife you should take care of everything, Let me take care of the home front and our children, (which is the traditional way) Nigerian man says no oo economy is bad please support me, he's thinking in his mind I can't marry a liability, there something you must bring to the table. Case 2 wife says sweetheart this is the house I managed to build let me use this one to support our marriage until we build bigger. Nigerian man says no oo, how will I move into a woman's house. This one is not a liability, she is bringing something to the table at lease but what she's bringing seems to be way overboard. Some will even prefer they rent the wife's home out collect the rent and use to pay for rent again within the same environment just to keep face. They don't want totally dependent women and when women who have shikini money comes their way they become fearful. Nigerian men have their ego tied to money. Financial control is what turns some of them on. |
Emma1Oj: ![]() Nairaland guys never cease to amaze me so you will open your two hands and collect the document of the house your wife built. @ topic To salvage a Nigerian man's ego let them go and rent another apartment that the guy will pay for and the lady collect the rent of her house. I don't even want to believe the apartment they are talking about is a rented one if it is let the guy just take over the rent, at least nna person Wey dey pay rent get house. |
I don't understand why my mum or mother inlaw will sleep on my matrimonial bed. Personally I don't fancy it. There's a guest room, let both mother's stay there, you and your wife and child stay in your room. |
daveP: Ishilove:Thank you both. I was still acknowledging this point in another thread that royals don't behave anyhow or dress anyhow. Megans wedding gown was all shades of decent and classy, fit for royalty, even the make up was simple. I basically wanted to see the dressing of the American actors actresses, so cool and very very decent. They know the standard as a royal guest. Being royal is not the same thing as being famous or being rich, there's a certain aura and class around it. It has a standard that is non compromising, it's a way of life. We Christians shout we are a royal priesthood up and down and in all honesty a lot of us don't even 'dress it' not to even talk of acting it. Royal with sagging jeans and showing boobs? Lailai . Make we dey deceive ourselves dey go By the way the collection of hats at the wedding was awesome, orisirishi styles ![]() |
I love the British royal family, I just love the fact that as a royal there are ways you should and should not behave, dress, act etc etc. I am yet to see one of them dress 'anyhow'. I hope Megan is ready for the royal life, not everyone can fit into it, it's not the same as being famous or rich. Wish them the best. |
Here we go again.... ![]() |
Students don't read anymore Private schools help sort student because they want to have a reputation Parents pay for special centers for their wards High level of indiscipline( I have never seen a set of students so indisciplined like the 14-16 year Olds we have presently, its like the children born from year 2000 upwards are not disciplined at all) |
deepwater:I believe all these happened years back as far back as pre- 2005 when LASU was LASU. Security was tight during my time in LASU, cultism was almost non existent during husseins time as VC, You could stay in SL EDU at night to read if there's light which was an unspoken taboo because of security issues. I have lived in that axis for almost 20 years and was very frequent in LASU even as a secondary school student in command Ojo even before I got admission. I still live around that side now years later and it's not even close to what was obtainable before. Presently the story is quite different except the pre- 2005 LASU is back. If you are saying the ripple effect of the years of strong cultism in LASU is still felt around ojo, I may agree but it's not as terrible as you stated it, it was far worse those years. |
Even before I saw the Ops last post scam was smelling on around the husband, that dude probably has a wife here and is planning his exit. What I find distasteful is how the nairaland guys are defending the husband, only about 3 people told her the truth. I never knew 2,500 pounds is like 250 naira which one can just gather anyhow. Birds of the same feather, Can't we just be honest for once as Nigerians |
iomoge2:Pics and price please. |
Lots of strange people here on this forum. Some posts make me wonder. Jonathan this buhari that. Was it not Lagos State that contained the virus back then, infact it was those doctors that did the job then if not I would h spread like wild fire. it's every thing some people turn to politics ![]() |
PRESENTATION:That ceramic plate, I am almost sure you got it from mum or even grandmum. ![]() |
onatisi: ![]() As much as I am indifferent about this whole talk. I can't believe I am reading this. Sticking to a man through his sexual escapades (if it's true they ve been dating for 5 years) seems to be endorsed by majority of male nairalanders I even read somewhere that she is blessed, seriously? It is finished. By the way davido should learn to keep something's out of the social media so he won't have to eat his words. |
TheAngry1:Actually you have a point. I went to two health related organizations recently I was surprised at the efficient and professional way the workers acted. It was not until I saw some foreigners that I knew aha it's headed by foreigners that why my people are this efficient. An average Nigerian might not be lazy but a lot of us have a bad attitude to work |
tensazangetsu20:You feel ?? You are wrong ![]() |
What I find annoying is that the OP is chanelling all his anger to the lady. Why not warn your own bro to stay away from her. You have not right to call her names. She's coming to ruin the life of your bro bla bla bla, is your bro also not trying to ruin his life too. By the way it's their choice you can only advise. I wouldn't advice anyone to do it, their own compatible partner will come. I am AS too, had partners that were AS it was painful but then we all met our own compatible partners later. Mind you we technically didn't even date, that was one of the questions that would determine if we were to take it further. |
doctokwus:I think what they are trying to say is that they don't give the baby up to the amount she gave him. It seems it's not the first time the baby is taking that injection at that place. That's why the reference to 5ml 2ml syringe. The shaking is not 3times they said up to 30minutes. Just trying to make you understand their point. There's nothing laughable about their allegations, they are only stating what they felt led to the loss of their child which they have a right to. |
It's an indescribable joy holding your baby in your arms that first time, it's best experienced it just can't be described ![]() |
Mofpearl:I have a problem with some doctors (and it's mostly the fresh doctors that have this mindset) 1. If you studied other medical courses you wanted to study medicine but you were not admitted 2. This overbloated ego that is mostly not in the interest of patients. I watched clips of the press conference by the NMA yesterday and I was shocked by some things the NMA president said that's how I even knew some people were on strike. If the johesu decide to fight for better benefits or even consultancy how is that their headache. I believe for you to be a consultant you are a master in your profession simple. Nigerian healthworkers don't work in synergy, the doctors always want to prove superiority why? Everyone should work hand in hand let them do their jobs, a pharmacist is in a better position (to advice on drug related issues, that's what they are trained for. This simple thing we are dragging here costs patients their lives. A friend was having contractions and headed to the private clinic, the matron on duty saw her listened to her and told her to see the doctor. My friend said the doctor put of the light in his office and was sleeping (probably tired from a hard days job maybe he worked throughout the day or had a duty earlier at another clinic) so the matron went to the office put on the light even and told her to go in. My friend said the doctor wrote drugs (antibiotics) for her and told her to go home she said she was surprised because she felt her time was near, she said the way he was even attending to her showed he was really tired, she said she just got home and dumped the drugs somewhere. The pains started again, unbearable this time and she had to go back to the clinic past eleven, when the matron saw her this time she didn't say much but she went ahead to prepare the delivery room and wake the person that will assist her with the delivery and she told my friend that she knew she was going to come back and my friend was like why then didn't you say anything her response was "Sebi it was doctor that said you should go home now' and obviously she didn't want to tell the tired doctor to at least check my friend so that it wouldnt seem she was teaching him his job. I cringed when she was narrating this to me, I said didn't you explain you were in pains she said yes. I did fault her for going back home but then I wondered why the matron couldn't tell the tired doc not to send her back home. This is even a private setting. This was a factor that even the doctor couldn't control, he was very tired which may not necessarily be his fault and the nurse that should have called his attention to it didn't because she most likely didn't want to teach him 'his job' Patients are at the receiving end of all these. |
Venica:This post touched me so hard It's well |
The virgins have vexed. ![]() I am happy someone opened this thread, the way nairalanders diss virgins is quite alarming ![]() Can't they just leave the virgins alone. |
Well she tends to believe in the traditional roles Men provide all Women take care of the home. Simple By the way you never mentioned if she has a job or something doing. |
