The commentator just couldn't hide his bias, all his analysis was about Iceland beating Nigeria, even after 80mins he was still talking about Iceland getting back into the game. The one I find interesting the most was when he said Nigeria will only win at fashion at the beginning of the first half, then repeated it again at the beginning of the second half just in case you missed it the first time It all made the victory sweeter anyway.

The reason I avoid threads like this is because instead of seeing the truth, majority will only throw insults.

Relationships are not just about "I love you". I am an agitator for dating the biblical way, no sex until marriage, if you truly love someone, you will invest in them spiritually, financially and materially, this goes for men and women.

The issue of high maintenance women, if she uses her own money to finance her lifestyle, if you cannot cope with her taste, as she no need to even ask you for money, but sense should tell you that, if a man no fit spend on you without you asking, you will end up financing that marriage if it happens.

Look very well, if you love flashy women, make sure you can keep up, dates will be expensive, gifts will also be expensive.

But most of una, na runs girls una dey like pursue and una no get money to even buy her prada bag, don't forget, it's who pays the Piper that dictates the tune.

Finally, flee from fornication, it is not helping us one bit.

Thank you.

Career › Re: 300 Sacked Lagos Street Sweepers Disowned by NoToPile:
Interesting read.

As far as I am concerned the problem with this initiative started when the so called SSML put their hands in this matter which also led to the overall crash of the initiative. If visionscape HR had handled the supervisors as they had from the beginning without contracting/transfering it out to ssml (who knows maybe they were practically mact the supervisor out to SSML too so they too will chop small money) things would have not been like this.

Even Doheny services that started the recruitment process 2 years ago would have handled this better ( very professional coy) they placed the advert without mentioning the coy name back then.

SSML started the magomago unfortunately visionscape is dragged into this mess.

Ssml was the on that started replacing supervisors that were already trained by people who had long leg( and had no idea of the job desciption). A HR company that will send you date and venue without sending the time, you have to send text to ask for time before they resend the whole message to everyone, they will send and recall mails immediately as if those they are dealing with have not been through recruitment processes before.

By the way the salary is not between 80 -120 k. The amount ssml paid supervisors was 80k meanwhile they had heared vibes that it was 120k visionscape was to pay each supervisor so the so called ssml was scraping 40k from each supervisor, I guess that's the reason why visionscape spokesperson said between 80-120k. I also heared that when the were disengaged ssml offered the supervisors 1 month salary meanwhile when visionscape spoke they said they paid 2months.

Lots of silly posts

My own stand is simple, for people I know and can advise if you are going to do traditional and not solemnizing in church then go to the registry solemnize and collect your certificate

If you are having a church ceremony ENSURE it is a registered church like some of the orthodox e.g catholic Anglican etc etc. If it's pentecostal ensure its the registered ones like RCCG, Mfm etc etc

Any other thing is story story.

Ask questions be smart.

Pavarottii:
How do u hear from God and u know is God talking of not instincts or pastors or parents.?
Sorry for bumping in

You develop a relationship, led him lead you in small small things you will know how he speaks with you and then by the time big decisions come you will just flow. Pastors should be a confirmation that's all whatever they say should be what you already know or what you are 'feeling' with the help of the holy spirit.

E.g you are praying about a sister all looks okay but there's this uneasiness in your spirit you just feel something is not right sha then you ask pastor for guidance and possibly because he may be more spiritually mature he may just tell you something is not right too. He may even know exactly what it is and just tell you to hold on about the sister and pray that God should reveal what it is to you, you pray and then Gbam you get exactly what caused the uneasiness. You may just see someone physically who may tell you a secret about the person that he/ she hid from you, you may have dream you may stumble on some documents, the person may just show you his/ her true color. Different ways of manifestation

It is important that the individual himself hears from God personally so that if / when challenges come you will not say aaah it's pastor xyz that said it's God will ooo blabla bla.

I had an experience I won't forget, there was a guy who wanted to marry me we practically grew up in church together before everyone went to university I still attended church because I went to school from home. I even knew 2 ladies he had dated. He just chated me up on fb some years later he wanted to marry blabla bla. I laughed and well we didn't say anything about it again, he came home a year later and came to my house we gisted and was like he wants to marry me. I knew I personally didn't pray about it like that, I knew his parents we grew up together I felt it was enough, I was like okay let's see how it goes.

I got admission for a PG course so I got a shared apartment with someone in another part of Lagos which incidentally was around the same area he stayed so we would see at school in the evening. He took me to his place to know his apartment once. 2 months later he started misbehaving sha well I was like that's his problem we didn't see as often as we did in those 8 weeks, I just felt guys and their wahala.

So one day some weeks later I had a dream something about a pregnancy that someone had for him. I asked him he was like no etc etc. I didn't know someone was even pregnant for him. I had the feeling in my spirit because that dream had a strong impression on me anyway I cleared my mind from all worries I had exams to write I was not about to fail because it seems he impregnated someone, I will deal with that later, I think I casually prayed about it. I prepared and wrote my papers.

One day I was sleeping early in the morning around past six, I practically felt someone wake me up and said stand up go to 'xyz' house now. It was so strong that I couldn't ignore I just brushed my teeth washed my face and wore clothes I didn't even bathe. I was just wondering this early morning at a man's house why na I have never been there except the day I went to know the place. Shey they will not say sister xyz is going to brothers house.

Anyway I was not going to ignore because I KNEW I was led to go to that place. So I got there all was quiet and knocked and a lady opened the door I said I am asking of xyz she went to call someone and a pregnant 'supposed ex' opened, I wasn't really shocked so I greeted her and told her I wanted to see xyz she went to call him and he was so shocked to see me grin and said we should go outside to talk okay ooo. I had already seen what God wanted me to see so I simply asked him about the money he was owing that was for my friend angry

Till this day I believe God led me to that place that day to use my own korokoro eyes to see. the whole relationship lasted about 4 months I think and incidentally she was around 4 months pregnant by my own calculation of the size of the bump.

I met my husband about 3 months later. grin

Chigold101:
sorry to ask oh...
Did you have any idea of whom God is?
Or what the work of the Holy Spirit is?

If Jesus Christ says that the Holy Spirit will direct us in all things is marriage not one of the all things?

First of all if you are sold out to God your choice becomes nothing.
If God is really your Lord you have no choice of your own any more.

Well I don't know about my Pastor said in marriage but I know about God said.

I don't know if you are married but I am married and I married my wife based on God's direction. One thing you should understand is that if you have not been close to God beforehand He won't start to just direct you when it comes to marriage. there must have been a total closeness and He must have been directing you in other issues long even before marriage comes up.

Sir i started praying about my marriage at about when I was 14. I wasn't praying for God to give me a wife then but that whenever I would be ready that He should guide me to the right woman. I am grateful to Him because He did guide me. I can't stop thanking God for making me to obey Him and marry the woman He sent to me. Right now I am already praying for my children that whenever their time come, that God should help them just as He has helped myself and my wife and I also pray for all their relationships.

Brother let this thing sink deep into your head. Marriage is 75% spiritual, 10% phisical and 15% financial.
If you win the spiritual side the rest would naturally fall into place. This is why in the olden days our forefathers use powerful charms time hold their families together. Some where polygamous but with the help strong charms they make the women to obey each other and there would be no friction. The man would be called "Odogwu."
I myself as a Born again Christian hold my family with prayers and also liveout what I teach my family members for them to see.
Those that married either for financial or phisical have little or no peace.

Having said all this: I am not saying that everyone that says God told them were really told by God. Some people intimidate others by saying God said. I didn't tell my wife God said anything to me until we were preparing for our traditional marriage, that was when I told her my experience and she also told me what she did at that time which was a confirmation of a prayer prayed.
If I am a woman and you approach me with God said I will not give you face and I might never prayed about it. Approach a woman like you never heard from God and allow God show her signs. That was what I did.

So Sir before you go online to set confusion in people's mind please and please again think.

I don't even know if you are even s Christian.
If you are not a Bible practicing Christian you won't understand anything.
Christianity is beyond going to church
Another nice one.

When I was single I was always weary of brother that come with 'God said' infact I saw them as opportunists that want to hide under church to choose a sister.

God is the originator of marriage and knows what is best for us.
Christianity Etc › Re: Does God Tell Us Who to Marry? by NoToPile: 4:47am On Jun 11, 2018
jamael:
Cool sir.

The challenge many of us face is that the only time we search for the will of God is when we are about to get married.

If you search the phrase, 'will of God' in the Bible, you'll see God's express instructions to us.

I'll only mention 1 Thessalonians 4:3: "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication"

How many people care about this will of God?

That's why we easily get deceived due to desperation. If you have been following and trusting God for everything, God will also direct your marriage. If not, it won't be that easy to make a choice backed up by God.
I just had to quote this

You are living in fornication and you expect to hear from God about who to marry shocked Iro ooo!!!

God said - Yes
Pastor/prophet/Church said - NO

Most of what people say is 'God said' is actually pastor said,I am not saying it's wrong to seek counsel from MOG but the principal conviction should come from YOU. This is why many are deceived by false prophets.

YOU should be sure it's God leading you into that marriage, it's easier if you have been making God part of your life and actions from the beginning listening to what he has to say about EVERYTHING(yes everything) but you have never asked for God's will about anything before in your life and now it's marriage you want him to communicate with you ( how will you even know how he speaks to you when you have not heared from him before)
It will take time oo. Infact when God speaks you may think it's your mind playing tricks because you are not used to it.

Now the fact that God said doesn't mean there won't be challenges, there will be infact the devil is out there to destroy Christian homes. They are even attacked more because once the family unit is stabilized it has a ripple effect on the children from a stable family and affects the society too.

The prayer of that family will keep them and they will overcome the challenges.

This culture predates Christianity...a woman that delivers stays at home for a minimum of 2 months before she steps aside and the child is dedicated...there is nothing like naming ceremony in Igbo land...the Igbo have better things to do than wasting time and money naming a child
I am only saying what I observed, I never said it doesn't predate christainity in Nigeria. Some people tend to follow religion over tradition /culture nowadays.

Family › Re: Serious Marriage Interference By In Law by NoToPile: 10:02am On Jun 05, 2018
Inlaws from both sides should let young couples be.

Koko234 the fact that your hubby doesn't see anything wrong with his elder brother staying with you guys that are newly weds not to talk of interfering in your couples issues is a problem in itself. That is what I find worrisome.

A simple ' brother I know my wife's movement and I don't need you updating me when I come back with a stern face should send a strong message'

Your hubby should draw the line, it's his job to do so. A simple statement sends a strong message.

My relationship with my hubby elder sis is quite okay now due to something's my hubby did.

She came to visit when she came to Lagos to greet her Dad and she and my hubby younger sis decided to visit about 7months after we married, it was the first time any of my inlaws visited us since we married, so I prepared fried rice, they were all seeing me heavily pregnant oo when I was going up and down preparing everything only for me to serve food on the table for us all only for her to say
Shey e ko ni elubo Nile ni ( Don't you guys have elubo for amala at home) that she doesn't like eating carbohydrate, I simply said we don't have soup at home saying I was stunned was an understatement.

My hubby simply said the amala you are talking about is it not carb and he gave her the impression of 'you don't want this she won't prepare another food' they all ate the fried rice with joy. Most times its not about what you say but how you say it. She just jejely kept quiet.

2. When I had my baby I stayed back for some days my baby was admitted and she called on the 5th day saying that what are we still doing at the clinic bla bla bla that even her that they did Cs for she didn't stay up to that shocked . Mehn that was very annoying I am still at the hospital very inconvenienced and baby is getting better trusting we ll be discharged soon and all you could think about is that you travelled down to Lagos for the naming ceremony and it's looking like it won't hold.

I told her well she should ask her brother, she was like I should have a mind of my own etc etc. I was like issorait, I allowed her to finish the talk, I picked a phone and Called my hubby and narrated everything, he was even too pissed off to call her directly. He called their Dad and told him to call her to order that if he calls her directly what he will say won't be nice. Only God knows what FIL told her grin Infact when the naming ceremony much later at FIL place both hubby and FIL didn't tell her.

Very recently I called her to inform her about my Dads demise and the first statement she made was are both of us fighting with her ni I said no ooo. grin. She was like she was calling my hubby after I had the baby and he didn't pick (I didn't even know he didn't pick on purpose to express his displeasure) that it's not like what she said was too much na that it's not up to that ke grin.
I sha told her that Shey she's angry with us she was like noo oo if she's angry she wouldn't have told me grin she was now picking her words carefully, and like Shey I will call her as per burial plans I was like yes ma.

She even called me after that once to wish us a happy new month my hubby said it's guilty conscience that is disturbing her. grin grin

Trust me all is in your hubby hands.

Men should not allow anyone bully their wives it's their duty to protect them from anybody including their own family too.

sex can never be the same way it was when you just got married for multiple reasons

1) you are both past the unlimited energy of youth. can your man still go four rounds straight?
2) you have children
3) you have work life stresses -
4) your bodies are not as taut as they used to be and you both feel less sexy
5) there is six years of baggage getting in the way - the stuff that you don't see during courtship; arguments, infidelity, stinginess, nasty memories

your man is feeling insecure because he is not 'turning you on' the way he used to. he thinks the only reason why that is happening is that someone else somewhere is doing it better.

you have two choices

have a long heart to heart with him
take the american option and fake it.

Lots of silly posts from kids on this thread that are in boyfriend girlfriend relationship.

If I don't believe anything the OP says I believe when she says stress is affecting her sex life.
Besides I wonder how you expect her to still be tight that after 6 years

Even this economy can make some couples lose interest.

What I find annoying is the ' you are cheating on me statement' somewhere you have been visiting for past 6 years will it ever be the same?
