BusinessRe: Islamic Banking: It Won't Work, Sanusi Is Looking For Trouble - CAN by numen(m): 9:53am On Jul 11, 2011
There's obviously no need for animosity in this thread. Calling the CAN presido names won't solve the issues Nigeria is facing. The CAN president has valid points. I am a Christian and for all I care Islamic bankers/investors can open branches in the 700+ LGs in Nigeria, as long as:

1.)   SLS removes any mention of Islamic banking from CBN constitution and simply focus on non-interest banking
2.)   SLS and his cronies stops promoting Islamic banking with tax payers money(some of whom might not have access to eventually)
3.)   FG reassess our Money Laundering act, to plug any loop holes money could be laundered through for terrorist/terrorist states

PS: I REPEAT, Islamic banking can sprout as many branches as they want, they should nevertheless be allowed to do so based on a non-interest banking framework/rules/policy/guidelines that has no bias or inclination towards any seen/unseen section

My broda, I really like what you are doing here. You are simply making a great effort in restoring a Lil trust of mine on Nigerian business men. Having said that I have some questions.

1.) I'll like to know if you have any setup for installmental payments
2.) I'll like you to post pictures and estimates of Camry 06' and 07'(which am interested in)
3.) What's the meaning of ACV on IAAI
4.) Do you also have setups for delivery outside Lagos

Thanks bro for all this effort both on your previous thread and this commercial on. keep it up!

@Pro01
I feel you bro. Don't mind the hating. I guess its a free country though your point still stands. I would like to say that there is no 'perfect lady.' Just try and find someone who will not pretend to you. Someone who has the guts to show you completely the kinda person they are. So that you will be better informed in deciding whether its gonna be her or not.

Like a lady said in this thread, u just gotta try before you can find that person close to perfection. If i understand your post well, u don't wanna waste valuable time and resources on someone just for a goat(your word) to have her for free without breaking a sweat? Man there's no over-the-counter prescription for that wahala. Just pray that your partner is transparent(u can predict her to a reasonable extent.) Man/Woman relationship has never been a smooth sail and will never be. You just have to be a good Captain like Jack Sparrow to choose your crew and Ship and to properly navigate the stormy waters to your expected and hopefully rewarding destination. Cheers

One Love bro. Happy scouting.

@conn-kg

Its nice to know you ain't hurting cos u sure sounded like u were. Hardly is there anyone worth hurting for, Cheers
CareerRe: How Important Is It To Be On Your Own? by numen(m): 11:23am On Jan 11, 2010
This is one of the best threads in nairaland. Its yet to be hijacked by miscreants. Thanks to landers like Kushe, Ajalenko, NaijaECash for their contribution. I work in a bank and I can tell you that the closest thing to hell on earth is being sacked without substantial saving or a parallel business running concurrently with your previous job/ex-job. No matter how small its good to setup something that will be giving you something every month alongside your salary.

Business Ideas
1. Barbing Saloon (Good site, good price, moderately[not excessively] furnished)
2. State Taxi (On High purchase)
3. Ice block machines
4. Haulage
5. Real estate(works good if u have buoyant contacts)
6. car leasing(location dependent, eg P.H)
7. Services

Good luck peeps. If you are "salaried" as a resolution this year, plan for an alternative source of income. If you are self employed, keep working hard. You will reach your goal.

Peace and Out.

coolThis country right is lacking good leadership, I agree. But to wish somebody dead is just not right. Yar Adua's administration is obviously not working for us and at the pace we expect, with regards to our obvious potential. But its not fair to wish him dead and celebrate the news of his alleged death.

There should be a distinction between us and LL(low lifers) with animalistic tendencies cool
RomanceRe: When Your Boyfriend's Best Friend Is Female? by numen(m): 7:11am On Nov 09, 2009
The odds of this situation working out peacefully for all involved is 1:1,000,000,000. Its either the best friend will have feelings for the bf or the bf for the bs or both. Either way the bf should decide between the gf and the bs who deserves most of his attention and focus it.

The spark that is generated between a male and a female who are close is so natural that u cant stop it. Also gf should let bf know abt how she feels abt it all. Basically talk abt it and do your best to get a decision taken abt it.

Sorry about the misconception. I do have a job. I work in a Bank. But i know hard it was to get the job. So i started this thread to generate lucrative business ideas that are not so capital intensive. I hope we can help serious nigerians out there who wants to make an honest living and possibly in the future be a Labour employer.

BusinessRe: CBN Moves To Return ETB To Adenuga by numen(m): 7:06am On Nov 06, 2009
This is a clear case of leaping before thinking. If Sanusi did his audit well, he would have found out that Adenuga did no money laundering or wateva. And instead of removing him and embarrassing him by that fact, he would have suggested to them to raise their capital base.

This man has is so unfit for his job and like it or not, there are both political and ethnic undertone to all of his actions right from his assumption of office.

I wonder what would be sanctioned or reversed next!
BusinessN200,000k: What Business Can You Start With It? by numen(op): 4:08pm On Nov 05, 2009
With N200,000k. What business ideas do you have for this amount. Considering the number of graduates that join the over populated labour market yearly, we need various lucrative business ideas that can set somebody up with minimum capital like N200,000k.

Please take this topic serious. Let us help our fellow nigerians who are not so fortunate as to be employed.

The deed has been done. If you are really sorry about what you did, tell your mistress it is over. You can start by dropping drastically your level of care towards to say 11%.

Sustain it there without any further coitus. And gradually phase the whole r/ship into oblivion.

Then go back to your faithful wife and love her like she is the only surviving cure to HIV/AIDS.

Trust me on this man, If you continue, you will most likely be caught.

FamilyRe: Prenuptial Agreements by numen(m): 9:56am On Nov 06, 2007
Prenup is very essential, especially in our society today. The rate at which we copy western culture is faster than the speed of life. Divorce, Seperation, Infidelity were all exacerbated by this. So for a wealthy person, be it a man or a woman, a prenup is essential to protect your hard earned wealth from undeserving people.

Whether we like it or not the number of gold diggers in our society has been on an exponential rise. People are saying "I Do" just because they are seeing the money. Men marry older rich women, women more often than not marry due to material benefits. The ratio of marriages based on materialsm to the marriages based on love is 15:1.

Please if you are a man or woman and you are wealthy make sure that your spouse signs a prenup. If they so much claim that they love you they should sign it and continue to love you(afterall Love knows no bounds). In most cases if the Breadwinner happens to exit this world b4 their spouses, the bulk of the wealth is usually willed to the spouse. Prenup is there to prevent exploitation of the Marriage Law, unecessary divorce/seperation, gold diggers etc. It is a private effective unconstitutional law, that is essential for the wealthy.

If you disagree with me, then like somebody wrote here "go and find a struggling person and build your life with them"

FoodRe: How To Prepare Stew by numen(m): 9:37pm On Oct 04, 2007
This is how to cook a delicious stew. You will need:

1. Grounded/Blended Onions
2. Grounded/Blended Tomatoes with tatashi(Boil the mixture till it is dry. Be careful dont get it burnt)
3. Tin Tomatoes
4. Curry Leaves
5. Thyme
6. Groundnut Oil/Olive Oil/Palm Oil
7. Meat/Fish

This is how I personally cook mine and its always tasty.

a. I boil my meat/fish with a cube of maggi, a pinch of salt, grounded pepper and a little chopped onions.

b. After boiling my meat/fish I fry it.

c. I get a dry pot and pour in my desired amount of groundnut oil and let it heat(heating is necessary to remove the smell from some oils that have scent and also to get it ready for frying)

d. When the oil is hot I add the onions, curry leaves and thyme to fry first(I do this so that their flavour will enter the oil)

e. When the onions turns to light brown I add the cooked tomatoes and tin tomatoes to the frying mixture and stir for some minutes or until the oil discolorates to red.

f. They I add my meat, water and other ingredients(like maggi, salt, pepper, chicken flavour etc)

g. Taste the mixture, if its ok with you, allow it to boil for some time. Evaporating some of the water so that your stew wont be watery. Bring it down when you are ok with the thickness/water content.
Dating And Meet-up ZoneRe: Is It Right To Go Out With Your Close Friend? by numen(m): 1:11pm On Sep 19, 2007
@aisha2
its a pity things turned out d way they did(take h@ dear) but let ur story be a lesson 2all nd especially nairalanders. NEVA give-in to any relationship to please someone/somepeople or under pressure.

That said, I believe dating ur best friend is d best thing dat can happen to u. Provided d two of u feel d same way about takin d relationship 2 anoda level. My current girlfriend was my best friend and believe me, our Love is something out of Romance Novels. And we are seriously planning on getting married soon.

To know if she feels d same about u, watchout for this clues(they r not absolute indicators but will guide you)
1. When she frequently calls/txt u (girls dnt normally do that unless they dig u)

2. When she is eager to tell u about her ups & downs and is eager to know about yours, and profers advice.

3. When she gives u her time and is not bothered she is spending it with u.(They need that time 4 potential Chikers, if they spend it with u, I guess they have found there dream Chiker.)

4. When she gives u an indepth detail of her recent chiker/chikers and how she ditched them(be careful here some might just be looking to create a list of guys ditched, and if u Toast then, guess wat, u r next on d list. Tricky huh)

5. When she writes u a txt finishing it with 143. Without saying whether it means I(1) Love(4) You(3) or I(1) Like(4) You(3). Of cause she will like u for her 2b ur friend. But wat if she feels Love instead of Likeness.

6. You just have to put your ears and senses to d ground, cos when they love they give out signals unknown/known to them. Signals like ever ready to be there 4u(Physically and emotionally[excluding sex]). Not easily annoyed/pissed of when u 4ck up(minor ones though) because they dont want to overreact and loose u in their burst of anger.

Have u heard of the Phrase "A friend in need, id a friend indeed" A woman in love is the true personification of that phrase.

Good Luck Ya'll.
