Sugarhugs:I agree with you totally. Most times I open the NL home page only to see that of over 50 posts, only 3 or 4 are worth opening. The rest are trash about cleavages and irrelevant pictures of people having breakfast or in air planes. |
In order to instil more sanity on NL, following or similar posts need to be stopped: *Adaeze Yobo/Omotola/Genevieve,etc and whatever they do in their kitchen or the beach. * Caption this picture of bla bla........ * See what zyz wore to Church today. There are so many others. These posts have no intellectual input. In an earlier topic, I suggested a system of flagging and subsequent removal of redundant posts. I think it is worth consideration. |
anath:Their maintenance is not expensive and fuel economy is good. They use regular fuel, which is easily available and cheap compared to premium. Brands like Lexus and Infiniti are high on fuel. Honda Pilot comes in 6 cylinders, 4Runner 6 or 8; others have the 4 cylinders option. Their engines last a long time and most mechanics are familiar with their repairs. If you get a car that has no engine issues, all you need is regular oil change and occasional look through. Good luck! |
Central A/C is like cooking with a giant pot in the hope that everybody is hungry... Some will not eat after all. Split units ensure localized climate control. They are also easier to replace. |
When people advised you should not buy an SUV as first car, they were under the false impression that SUVs are always expensive. Depending on the year of manufacture, you can get a serviceable SUV at a price cheaper than a sedan. Due to bad roads, I go for cars that have good ground clearance. Have you considered RAV 4, 4Runner, even Honda CRV or Honda Pilot? |
Please include: * Cleavage * Bikini body *Adaeze Yobo * Caption this picture... *Wore to to church today.. |
firstolalekan:Unfortunately, most women prefer male doctors... They don't believe the female doctor has enough knowledge and skill to handle their issues. The doctor might have the girl`s into the theater for the purpose of billing.. The gravity of the treatment may not be appreciated afterwards, when the bill arrives. |
As an after thought, I checked the profile of the poster. Not surprisingly, about 99% of his/her posts are on celebrities. Posts like this unnecessarily overpopulate the pages. Better to read others if we don't have anything reasonable post. Please. |
Very soon, everybody will register a name on NL for the purpose of posting when they or their relatives poo in the toilet. The moderators are definitely either sleeping or have lost sense of what makes a suitable publishable content. What a waste of people's useful time! Chwrrrrrrr... |
Ever seen a guy on the street, seemingly well dressed? Naturally, you project your mind to his habitat and come out with a picture of beauty and decorum. Well, this may be true in some cases, not in others. The environment in which some guys live can be disgusting. Or how does one explain the fact that a grown man cannot keep his house/room tidy so they look like kiddies playground? I visited a guy some time ago and I didn't like what I saw. He had heaps of dirty clothes on the bed... I had to haul his clothes off the chair before I could sit. At a point, I saw him retrieve an underwear from under the mattress. When I went to use his bathroom, there were several dry splashes of toothpaste on his mirror And the floor? The cobwebs and hair accumulation on the floor must have dated back to the previous year. Of course, I had to stand on my toes to avoid soiling my socks. Naturally, the thinking is that men try to maintain a cleaner, ordered environment when they are dating. I know a guy whose girlfriend would tidy up his messy rooms, kitchen, bathroom and clothes when she visited. The next time around, it was like girl did nothing. After putting up with the lifestyle and unsuccessful to get the guy to change, she left him. Does it have to take the presence of a girlfriend for a guy to live neat and clean? Are guys just plain lazy or is it how they were brought up? |
One wonders what could have made your father to behave the way he did. This is what happens when a man thinks he is not the father of the child. Life experiences come in different ways. Thank God you were able to graduate. It is difficult to just erase what you went through. Relate to your father normally. .. He may be coming to his senses...reason he is now coming close to you. |
Traditional marriage generally is the time you fulfill the necessary requirements. Depending on where your bride comes from, there may be a specified minimum amount you have to provide for food. Your inlaw will provide food and drinks but not extras like audiovisuals. |
Nweike1:I was going to ask same question. It is not the length but the quality of teaching/learning that matters. The system as it is presently is good. Behavioral Sciences and other ancillary subjects are taught right from 1st year. What is the statistical evidence that the proposed system will produce better doctors? |
Sex apart, a 2 years old relationship that has not registered hugs and kisses is certainly not deep. Your girl wants to go to school overseas for the glamour of it. And it appears she is not ready to be "tied down" by marriage Even if she is ready to marry, chances are she is also considering other alternatives to you. I suggest you get on with the other acquaintances who are mutually interested in you. |
RobinHez:Thanks for the input. I actually did not ask for the void. It was the architect who put it there as a design. I am someone who goes for function rather than form. |
I am gathering materials to deck a house that has a void in the building plan. I have seen houses with void and I am concerned about the high walls and windows and the maintenance issues they pose.. As in cleaning the windows and replacing light bulbs, etc. I feel they will soon go out of fashion, unlike the conventional deck without the void. I also think such designs are for cathedrals and offices. My spouse thinks the void should stay, but I need to be convinced. What are the benefits of the void, if any? I do not want to make a mistake. What do you think? |
Even 200K should be enough; it all depends on what you incorporate or leave out. Since you don't intend anything elaborate, I advise you keep the church activities brief. Do away with Ashebi, unless they pay for their dresses. Cut down on the cake size and cost. A plateful will do. Invest more on the food, e.g., well prepared jollof rice and drinks. You can get a friend to use his home music system to provide background music. Should you present gifts, use key holders, openers, plastic cups, etc. ** A lot of people regretted afterwards and wished they had a second chance to plan their wedding. The smaller the wedding, the less stressful it is...before and after. |
There was this woman in my community who was obsessed with similar idiosyncrasy. When she served you water with a cup, or food, she would scrub and scrub the cup and spoon after you left. She hardly ate other peoples' food for fear it was contaminated. As an adult in the university, you should know that such fears have no root. Eat what others are eating; it won't kill you. As for being introverted, try mixing g up with people you know... Participate in discussions. They will make you more confident. |
Women are very emotionally sensitive. Your wife says you are angry inside of you.. This may have to do with your general attitude toward her... The way you speak to, and approach, her...your countenance, too matter. Lively up the atmosphere, be a bit romantic, crack jokes. Your silence is worsening the situation . You have to swallow your pride and make the first approach.. That's the cross men have to carry. And she is waiting and wishing you do so. |
One can understand how you feel at the prospect of losing someone you really love. But being a virgin himself, how did he find out you are not a virgin? Opinions expectedly vary here, but here is what I think: First, I find the practice of men asking a lady they are dating whether she is a virgin as dumb. For what? O.K she is not a virgin so that nullifies all her beauty and brain, etc. Second, virtually all men do sleep with or entertain the idea of sleeping with the women they are dating. Every man should understand that the grown ravishing beauty he is beholding may have been in a relationship before... That he is not the first person to know her. Many ladies fall to the superior manipulative skills of men and slept with them...reluctantly. It is not the virginity that should matter most... It is the general attributes that make a wife material that count. Now, here is what you should do: Explain to this man the circumstances that led to your loss of your virginity. Tell him you made a mistake in lying to him because you didn't want to lose him. Keep an open mind that he may or may not forgive you... But if he does and since it worries you, let him know you do not wish for him to bring it up the matter in the future. It is understandable your loss of sleep, but you have to pull yourself together and concentrate in your studies. I strongly believe that women should have their own "terms" in a relationship... If he continues to play cold, tell him you are taking time off for both of you to reflect... Good men no dey finish...First, you have to finish school. |
Empiree:Hoses should not be leaking in a car or any hosed device for that matter. If tightening does not solve the problem, replace the hose. |
tunergy:Sounds like your driving shaft has gone bad. Let your mechanic confirm. Also inspect your shock absorber springs. |

In Western countries, men are allowed to come into the delivery room from beginning to end unless they decide otherwise. Maybe the women should insist if helps with the labour. |
Flushing the engagement ring down the toilet was a joke taken too far. Dating women who say "No" at first, then say "Yes" later hardly make good relationship material. You should have moved long long time ago. |
Evina:Woosh... I am having goose pimples again. The way the women lie on the edge of the bed really scares me. You would think they are going to fall off the next second... And they don't seem to care/mind. The pain is primary business and anything that makes it less is welcome. |

Rukemi291:May God be with you at the appointed time... You don't have to worry about what you say or how much you shout because hospital staff are used to them. |
Dyt:Your memory of your labour is very vivid... It runs like a movie. But who delivered the slap, if I may ask? |
Yieldings:I do not think that is the issue here, madam. But I can assure you that I am happy with whatever gender/sex nature has bestowed on me. |
