Observant:
Looks like Scabies caused by bad water.

It occurs on your palms or your prick.
I'm curious though because it only happened to us when we wear teenagers in boarding school, never seen it on an adult.
Exactly my thought! SCABIES, SCABIES, SCABIES...
The appearance of the affected areas and the facts that it itches and sometimes produces some fluid nails it down to scabies.

But what baffles me and also makes me want to doubt myself is that this guy had been to the hospital and they missed it.
I strongly believe this is neglected scabies. If it is, cure is very simple and cheap!

[quote author=epelumi42 post=42774338]It is a bit difficult to write the relationship off for now.
The best thing to do is to keep in touch with her.
One year is not too long to wait.

Her response/attitude will give an insight into whether or not she is no longer interested in the relationship.
And when it comes to settling down, I can almost say for sure that about 90% of the ladies resident in the U.S eventually go back to their sweethearts back home.
Same goes for the men. They babes who are domesticated and who have not imbibed too much of the foreign lifestyle.
Nairaland GeneralThe Best Decision You Have Ever Made by Nyceguy92(op): 2:50am On Feb 10, 2016
We have all made critical decisions in the past. At first, you didn't know for sure whether to go right or left.
Looking back, some of those decisions stand out as the best we have ever made because of the results that followed.

Decisions could be economic, religious, educational, work, family, marriage, etc.

For me, one of the best decisions I have ever made was few years ago.
I had been living and doing business in the city, only going home for the Christmas to see my people, especially my father.
He was no longer the active man he used to be and depended on me for upkeep.

I wouldn't know if it was my father's spirit at work but my business was no longer doing well and it was difficult to pay my bills.
An idea came to me that I could do better if I relocated my business to my town, where I was well known.
Besides, I would be closer to my dad who was over 80 years then and getting closer to the grave.
I weighed the odds of moving vs staying, hoping that tomorrow would be better.

To cut the story short, I relocated against popular opinion.
My business boomed. I personally nursed my dad and was there in his last moment on Earth.

You know how it is when you have been procrastinating about putting up "structures" and suddenly burial come dey stare you for face....
I was able to put things in order and run around for the burial....things that nobody would do for you.
I accomplished things I wouldn't have been able to do had I remained in the city because there was no money anyway.

Why am I sharing this story...?
The message is that if you have a strong conviction about anything, follow it.
Many people saw my action as retrogressive. It was odd to move from the city to one's town.
My spouse was not in favour initially but I stood my ground and I thank God I did.

Anyway, that was then. I am no longer in my town as I have moved elsewhere much better.
But several times over, I still congratulate myself for making that decision.

What has been your experience? Do share.

FamilyMy Thoughts On The Wedding Cake by Nyceguy92(op): 6:25am On Jan 31, 2016
The wedding cake has become a constant feature of church weddings.
It is also a major area of disagreement between couples during the planning stage.

The lady wants the biggest and, of course, most expensive. "After all, you do it only once."
But the man wants something realistic and affordable.

My opinion is that the wedding cake is not critical to the wedding.
It consumes an unfair amount of wedding resources.
In the end, all you get is a Kola nut size crumb, which most people refuse anyway because it's too sweet.

During my wedding, I was presented with a huge estimate for a 7-step cake.
I strongly believe that the most important thing in a wedding reception is food and drink.
After the long journey and sitting through the church service, visitors need to get back their strength.
They don't remember the cake size but they will remember how they starved in your wedding.

I had to put my feet down and cut the budget on cake and invested more on food and drink.
I know that the ladies reading this will frown but the truth is that no wedding is the best. We forget them soon.
The cake is only symbolic and symbolic items are usually small and inexpensive.
How about we scoop a bit of the rice or whatever food available for the `feed your spouse` part ?

Same thought goes for too many Ashebi and all those unnecessary appendages that drain the purse.
Of course those who have should spend, but most men, under pressure from their women, spend to impress.
I have seen several cases of couples regretting afterwards and wished they had another chance to plan again.

My thoughts. What's yours?

RomanceRe: How Did You Woo Your Girlfriend? by Nyceguy92: 4:13pm On Jan 27, 2016
[quote author=Amoshie post=42359233]There are different approaches: subtle and aggressive.

The aggressive style does not work often and may not attract quality babe's for you. This is where you almost immediately profess love w/out first getting to know her. Many get put off.

In subtle, you "water" the ground first.
Identify the lady of interest and try getting her attention.
Start a conversation by reference to the things you have seen her do, etc. Be brief, unless you sense otherwise.

Introduce humour...women like humorous men.
Don't try to impress her by being fake or talking big.
Smile. Be neat in dressing/grooming.

Having established some rapport, disappear once in a while from the scene so you do not appear too beggarly or a pain in her skin.

If she likes reading, suggest nice books you have read take one to her ....." I saw this and thought you would like it..."

Be sure not to ask personal questions yet or if she has a boyfriend 'cos it won't do you any good. Be friends first, then lovers.

Christianity EtcRe: What Is Your Take On Couples Who Attend Different Churches? by Nyceguy92: 10:44pm On Jan 24, 2016
[quote hhor=Onyejemechimere post=42278855]This post is very timely and touches on a very practical problem most families battle with. My outright opinion is that it is wrong for couples to attend different churches because it does not foster family unity.

Here is a real life example:

A man and a lady were in a relationship that was the envy of everyone. Marriage followed, naturally.
Parents of both couple, including brothers, sisters, etc are Christians.

Somewhere some time, the wife asked husband to allow her to occasionally attend the evening prayer meetings of one of the pentecostal churches. Because the husband loves the wife and didn't think it was a big deal, he reluctantly allowed her.

What was to be an occasional evening session snowballed into full membership and abandonment of the church in which she was wedded.

On Sundays, wife would go to her new church with the children and husband to his church. Relatives raised alarm, consultations were made.....you know how it is...

The kids imbibed a way of reasoning and doing things, including prayer as taught by their mom or seen in their new church. They argued all the time on matters of culture and tradition.

Husband had a rethink and insisted back to status quo.
Wife resisted. Family almost broke apart.

The implication is that the man is seen as incapable of keeping his household as one unit...as effeminate.

Well, to cut the story short, the man threatened divorce before the wife turned back.

One must mention the role played by some so- called born again Christians. Most of them saw nothing wrong in the matter. ..the race to heaven is an individual thing...God will use her to deliver/work miracles in the family, etc, etc.

One of my aunts married a man of same denominstion.
Later, her husband "repented" and asked the wife to follow him to his new church. Wife refused to attend her husband's church.

Trouble started and the case came to her kisnmen. Verdict was that a woman had no church, that her husband's church was her church. She yieldef. Today, they are happy together.

Thanks for reading.

They don't have time for iPad and laptop. Where is the internet service to begin with?

As for study methods..., it varies with individuals.
Every topic has the main concept and the application.
Pictorial representation with labeling is good. Writing re-enforces the diagram.

Worst method is memorising or cram work.
A very good study method is to read topic from at least 2 different standard books and condense the info in own words.
