Is Pastor Chris Okafor a cripple or a deaf and dumb fellow that he cannot lead a protest against bad governance today?.... Is there a rule somewhere in the constitution that says only a certain selected people (e.g. Bakare, Soyinka and Ezekwesili) must always lead protests for a better Nigeria?.... When the Yaradua cabal seized control of Nigeria and was tossing GEJ about like a puppet, it was people like Pastor Bakare and Soyinka that went under the sun and rain to protest and fight for Nigeria to be saved. Where were people like Pastor Okafor then?... sitting comfortably in his self made empire receiving tithes and first fruits. Likewise when GEJ got in power and was exhibiting lack of control with every idiot looting away the country's destiny, it was the same set of people that stood up, braved the soldier bullets and protested against bad leadership. Once again, people like Okafor kept mum. Now the current govt is in there misbehaving, what exactly ties the legs of folks like Pastor Chris Okafor from leading a protest?... Must it be the same set of people year in, decade out?... Recently a group of my friends who are youths in their twenties were blasting an almost 90 year old Soyinka why he wasn't coming to lead a protest to save Nigeria; this is an almost 90 year old who has led protests since the 60s and even spent a portion of his life in jail. And the youths wonder why the old folks arent retiring... |
Another classic case of 'much ado over nothing'. These election days, too many people just seem to desperately grasp on to meaningless straws as if their lives depends on it. Okay, the VP lied about his pilots all being Nigerian, and so fvcking what? How exactly does that change anything? But then again, all the pilots of the presidential air fleet, who also double as the official pilots of the president and VP are Nigerians. So how exactly did the VP lie about that?... That the VP boards a chartered chopper belonging to a private company, and the chopper happens to be flown by a foreigner, I'm still wondering how that invalidates what the VP said about his pilots being Nigerian. Meanwhile, I just watched the so called video of the Asian looking man stepping out of the cockpit of the chopper. Firstly, the man wasnt even dressed like a pilot but let's assume he is. A lot of people on this thread masturbating over this nonsense, including the so called Professor Kperoogi are obviously ignorant of the fact that a helicopter captain mainly sits on the right hand side, not on the left as in planes. |
IamPlato:Is this supposed to be a sour joke or what exactly?... How can Moghalu, the most sound and most qualified candidate not be in your so called list of top contenders?... And then who even said Okotie is contesting? ...and to even think that the Nairaland MoDs thought it wise/appropriate to move this to the frontpage as th official Nairaland poll, leaves one wondering. ![]() |
beamtopola:Please kindly educate me; how exactly did the unrelated, meaningless audio tapes published by Reno influence supreme court judgement between Tonye Cole vs Magnus Abe? |
peteroria1001:Amaechi said Nigerian police is corrupt/not to be trusted. How exactly is this news and why does it excite any normal person?.. I'm totally lost on this one. |
It's still not clear what benefits, political or otherwise that Reno or the PDP stand to gain from publishing these audio recordings. Is there anyone in Nigeria that isnt aware the police are corrupt?... Why/how exactly is this news, and how exactly does this indict Amaechi or apc? Strangely though, this actually excites some pdp supporters. |
sonnie10:Lol... why please?... The last time I checked, it was me and my partners that donated all the high end equipment in the centre as part of our CSR. |
rentAcock:Has the exact cause of cancer really been scientifically proven?... Those thing you mentioned above are just high contenders. |
OdikwaRisky:Men actually do loooove the sight of stretch marks on boobs and the asses; I find it very sexy/attractive, and I know I'm not alone in this... The only people who think it isnt nice are your fellow girls. |
ZaOzaRoom:You're certainky not alone, maybe we're from another world, but I also see absolutely nothing ugly about stretch marks. They actually look beautiful/sexy on boobs and bums. |
rentAcock:The bolded part of your comment above, permit me to drop my thoughts. There's this widespread belief that cancer wasnt a Nigerian problem until recently. But I believe that isn't true. Cancer has always existed in Nigeria, but we never and we still hardly ever diagnose it. Millions of Nigerians die from cancer regularly but it's never diagnosed; how many times have you seen obituaries or heard stories aboit a person dying "after a brief illness"?... In cases where the victim had some suspicious neighbours or family/village people, we just instantly conclude it was juju influenced brief illness, and then spend the rest of our time and resources going from pastor to prophet. Meanwhile the person died of some form of cancer. The only cancer we diagnose in Nigeria are the ones that have a visible representation, e.g. lumps in breast cancer etc. If we really had proper diagnosis in Nigeria, you will be shocked at the true statistics of cancer related deaths in Nigeria. |
dante0147:On this same thread about cancer cantre, some are bragging about it being an achievement of APC/PMB, some are saying no it was built by MTN, some say it was conceived, fully paid for and started by GEJ over 4 years ago, and now this gentleman claims it belongs to a state govt (apparently a state govt left the state hospitals and decided to equip a federal one). Oh lest I forget, I dude even claimed the place has just 2 doctors, of which one is even too old to come to work. ![]() Nigerian political discussions can indeed be amusing at election times like this. |
Where in earth do all these people come from?... The unemployment is real! |
In these kind of jobs, the candidate needs to read the tiny prints carefully.. Further requirements not posted on twitter might be - 22-30 years old, light skinned female who also should be able to take care of adult males. ![]() |
Lol.. |
ikorodureporta: ![]() Abeg you cant blame the guy. Depending on a person's mindset, he could read it a different way ![]() |
2006/2007 - MOU for this project was signed by OBJ. 2012 - GEJ renegotiated and signed another MOU. 2016/2017 - PMB and co concluded the agreement, secured the loan, paid the counterpart funding required for the project to start, and the construction started. We love arguing over meaningless things in this country. |
Buhari get mind shaa... after his poor handling of the security situation there, they still get to go there for campaigns? |
And what exactly is the benefit to Nigerians if the FG keeps holding on to state assets which it will NEVER be able to manage efficiently?... Nonsense! |
The kind of moral and value system we practice in Nigeria is just bizarre. So is the writer of this article saying that because a person did his job by ruling in my favour 10 years ago, it then becomes my duty to cover them up for life even if they commit an offense? |
@Yemi15 obailala:The above is exactly what I said, I simply gave a prediction of what will happen when Dangote refinery comes on stream - Nigeria will stop importing fuel, Dangote will enjoy a major monopolistic power and he will set pump prices far above what anyone thinks (over N200)... I also conclude by saying, the only bright side of the situation though would be that since Nigeria will stop importing fuel, there would be a positive impact on the economy. ...and then you responded with the following insulting comment. yemi15:So I ask you once again, for the sake of decency, what exactly is stupid in what I said above to warrant such a response from you?... What exactly is the point I made which you claim to have punctured? |
yemi15:I didnt expect anything more from you. When people have nothing to say, they switch to insults and when you ask them to rationalise their position, it's obviously impossible for them to do that because they have nothing upstairs but insults. |
yemi15:You did not evrn have a clue what I was talking about, yet you think you punched holes? Punched holes in what exactly?... Did I tell you I was arguing with anyone?... Meanwhile, the last time I checked, you were the one who introduced filthy language ("stupid logic" to describe a comment without even having the simple decency to first understand what I was talking about.Okay a simple challenge is open to you, kindly explain what you understood I was talking about?... No thanks to social media and the proliferation of internet sevices all over Nigeria. That explains why a person (probably even a child) would just come online insulting people he doesnt know, and thinking it makes him look smart. |
yemi15:You're obviously not as smart as you think you are. That's the reason you instantly misunderstood the point I was trying to make, and instead of asking for a clarification (as normal people do), you jumped instantly to unleash insults (which is the typical approach of dull people trying to look smart). |
eyeview:Dangote will not sell petrol less than N200. When his refinery comes fully on stream, and when Nigeria starts producing enough to meet local demand, the govt will totally halt the importation of petroleum products, and then fully deregulate the downstream sector, thereby giving Dangote and his tiny competitors (i.e. owners of the other tiny modular refineries) full monopoly. When thay time comes, Dangote will sell petrol for not less than N200, and Nigerians will have zero choice but to buy it like that. This isn't just an empty prophecy, its a logic based prediction. At the end though, the stoppage of fuel imports would give Nigeria's economy a turnaround; that's the only bright side, which of course is really bright. |
GMPO:Oga focus, focus focus!... I did not say I was supporting anybody and neither is that the discussion here. I didnt mention buhari and neither did anyone mention jonathan or atiku. The simple question I asked was, based on the topic of discussion, how did you arrive at your weird conclusion that Nairaland management were supporting APC?.... From your comment, you sounded either angry or frustrated at the MoDs, accusing them of being sympathetic to APC; you even went ahead to ascribe it to tribe. How exactly did you arrive at that conclusion based on the topic and discussions on this thread? |
toplinetrtrend:Lol... wonderful! When I opened this thread and read this comment, I had to go back and forth through the thread to confirm if it was my eyes seeing double. Oga what's the source of this comment and how is it related to the topic? |
GMPO:What exactly is this person talking about?... How exactly does posting a topic on the VP of Nigeria surviving a crash and then doing a thanksgiving suggest to you that Nairalanf MODs are sympathetic to APC?... too many emotional confused fellows everywhere these days. Meanwhile, the VP surviving the crash without a single crash is a clear sign from God that He still got the VP's back even till tomorrow and will protect him from the evil wishes of his enemies. Somebody shout Hallelluia! |
Kaybaba5:More like 'foolish man'. But that's if what we're thinking is true. |
bluebay: chozzy:Hmmm... if GEJ completed the negotiations and released the counterpart funds for every project mentioned above, how come construction on these projects halted for over 2 years after GEJ left?... Why did the contractors only continue work some years later when more money was released to them?... or were the contractors scamming the FG or was the FG scamming Nigerians by claiming they were releasing funds to these contractors? If all negotiations with China were all completed, how come buhari kept travelling to China and chasing after the Chinese president at the start of his tenure?... How come the FG also paid N17bn in 2016 for the completion of the Abuja to Kaduna rail?... Was that just the contractors scamming the dull FG?... How come the FG also had to pay the full counterpart fund for the Lagos to ibadan rail in late 2017 before the project could be commenced by the Chinese? |
slivertongue:Even a child can win a professor in a debate if what the professor is saying isn't true. All Amaechi needs to do is provide simple evidence to prove that what Obi said was incorrect, and the would be the end of the debate. |
