989900:Correction! Walahi, this is almost how elections are in the developed world. I said 'almost' because elections I have witnessed in the UK, a voter doesnt need a seat cos the whole process takes just 2 minutes. |
Bouncingbabyboy:Building his CV for the next election. This is a very important step in the race. After all, Atiku has been trying since 1993, but it took him 27 good years to get this close to victory. |
On the eve of elections. |
Gow can Akea Ibom be battle ground? |
NORSIYK:But Imo still remains the pace setters. |
MrTrend:Why is there so much noise about this Ibom Air as if to say Nigeria hasn't had something like this before?... But I thought Imo state did something similar not too long ago? With the amount of income received by states like Delta, Rivers, Bayelsa and Akwa-Ibom, Nigeria shouldn't be waiting for a private individual like Dangote to save it from petroleum products importation; a state like Akwa-Ibom should have a functional state-owned refinery. |
I totally agree with this. the FG has no business owning or operating NNPC. I agree with Atiku in his plan to sell NNPC, not even selling partially (as he plans to), but fully 100%. NNPC should be a private company paying royalties and taxes to the government, that's the best way it can benefit Nigerians. |
MajesticIgbo:Despite them being the same, due to the sheer length of time over which pdp tormented Nigeria (compared to apc), my hatred for pdp is still far stronger than the hatred i have for apc. But if i may ask, what's the basis of your question? |
collinsuchendu:Common sense should have told you that if this was politically sponsored, them it's definitely by the opposition pdp to paint apc black just before election. The level of bloodshed in the middlebelt seems to have dropped recently, and it definitely worries some pdp people who have happily fronted it for so long as a political tool to fight govt. If this latest killing was sponsored by politicians, it must definitely be by a pdp politician who simply wants to remind/incite people to vote against apc. |
collinsuchendu:If there's anything political about this event, then it's definitely sponsored by opposition elements in the area to sway votes on Saturday. |
This event is clearly political. The marauding herdsmen have been quiet for a while now, only for them to start striking few days to election? |
How exactly do the even calculate these figures?... Sone years ago, it was $500bn GDP. Now it's over a trillion? |
ochejoseph:Lol.. everywhere Atiku Atiku |
vengertime:The CBN is intentionally fixing the Naira at that N365/$ for reason. If it wanted, it could easily inject this $200m twice a week, every week as was the case in the past and the Naira can easily rise back to N200/$. But to what benefit?... for Nigeria to return to the days of importing everything cheaply? |
Joromi12:Lol... People dey pray make Naira stable, this one dey pray make e fall for selfish reasons... ![]() Meanwhile, this happens to be the first election in Nigeria's recent history where the value of the Naira didnt drop. And that's because this election isnt as monetised (in dollar terms) as all the elections Nigeria has had in the recent past. So you cant blame your 'useless' friend, he was right about dollar typically rising during elections. |
Obviously fake |
It just seems like a lot of politicians have already perfected plans to snatch ballot boxes. |
Lol... Nigerian politics.. |
What is this?.. How exactly is this prophesy?... This sounds like a typical prayer point said in every single church. The only thing closese to a prophesy was that Nairaland dude who perfectly predicted this 12 months ago. |
Tonytonex:Oya how long after the elections is safe to fix wedding?... Cos the last time i checked, people who fixed their weddings 6 & 8 weeks after elections in 2015 also suffered this same fate. |
ojuu4u:But PDP did exactly this in 2015 but still failed! Postponed elections for 6 weeks in which period GEJ went around personally sharing trillions to royal fathers especially in the SW. But it still failed. If it failed the last time, it would also fail this time cos everyone already knows who they want to vote for. |
Tonytonex:Oga, no amount of wisdom can save one from this kind of govt incompetence. You might think it wise to avoid fixing weddings in the month of February or even March. But remember the last time, the election was shifted by almost 2 months. Except you're saying weddings should only be fixed from May. |
blackmantis:Very annoying, I just imagined the fate of people who have weddings planned for next week. The Nigerian govts always swim in gross incompetence. |
This is bizarre! |
justbusy:I said the loans Nigeria took from China are purely tied to infrastructure. But then you rudely interrupted by saying it was a lie, and you started blabbing about some unrelated APC vs PDP rubbish. What exactly is the lie in what I said?... You've had ample opportunity to explain yourself or defend your position. But obviously, it would be silly for anyone to expect you to actually defend a meaningless blab. |
justbusy:@justbusy, I guess your own wise idea of being honourable and patriotic is seeing something which is black but lying to yourself like a child that it is white. I'm sorry, this isn't about elections or politics, it's just about exercising common sense. The loans Nigeria has gotten from China are strictly for the infrastructural projects, some of which I already listed earlier (i.e. abj-kaduna rail, Lag-Ibadan rail, airport remodelling and Mambilla hydro dam). China doesnt give cash loans, they give the loans only as infrastructuaral projects and these project based loans were taken by both the last PDP and the current APC govt. Saying that this is a lie doesnt make you smart (as you probably think), especially when the info I gave is common verifiable knowledge available to all and sundry. Furthermore, speaking this fact does not mean I am supporting any body politically; it's just common sense. Receive common sense! |
Uka agbasa! ![]() |
justbusy:*yawns* If you have access to the internet to type "lies", but can't use that same internet access to independently verify or educate yourself, then it's a pity. Feel free to remain in ignorance. |
Fran6ik: wise2odd: cucumbae: oliverano:But every single dime of Nigeria's debt from China is also being used for visible and tangible infrastructure. Nigeria's current debt from China is responsible for the Abuja/Lagos/Kano/PH/Enugu airports which are being remodeled, it's also responsible for the Abuja to Kaduna standard gauge rail which is now up and running, it's also responsible for the Lagos - Ibadan standard gauge rail and the 3500mw Mambilla hydro dam. It's not every time we have to diss our own country, simply because of political leaning, albeit in an uninformed manner. Meanwhile the above projects cut across more than one administration. |
It's a Tuesday afternoon and these crowds come out everyday at different locations to shout APC and PDP. This says a lot about the employment situation in Nigeria. |
Wetin this guy dey sing sef? ... Actually havent ever heard any of his songs. What exactly gives him money and how is he a star? I guess he's totally into some kind of abstract genre. But then, why is his art not popular in Nigeria? |
