MrCEO69:But that's exactly my point, Amaechi was simply mocking the Nigerian system and Nigerians by asserting that the people complain too much and that things can never get better in this country until everybody is wiped off. Poor chpice of words for somene who should be a leader though, but the narrative since yesterday is that he insulted his boss Buhari; how exactly did he insult or criticise buhari in those statements?... He can actually repeat those exact statements infront of Buhari. There's just so much hullabaloo and twisted interpretations over an empty tape recording.... How exactlt does this recording help PDP's campaign or hurt APC? |
Something interesting about this audio recording saga is that it will not stop Buhari supporters from supporting Buhari and neither will it add a single extra vote to PDP. Just amusing how Nigerians spend so much energy on irrelevance. Meanwhile, I'm still yet to have anyone explain how Amaechi's statement is an INSULT to buhari?... Sounded more to me like Amaechi mocking Nigerians... Except something must really be wrong with my comprehension today. |
Final campaign strategy being unleashed. Expected this much earlier. |
Abia1stboy:thanks |
bareal:First of all, there's no leader in this world that can listen to and take every single person's opinion. As a matter of fact, it would be silly for a leader to even do that because whilst some opinions are good, a lot others would be trash. Now I'm not in anyway holding brief for Buhari because I know he has failed to take good advice on several issues. However, the basis of my earlier comment is focused on the so called audio tape recording. When Reno released a bit of the recording yesterday, he announced that it would "destroy" Buhari. I'm struggling to understand how this recording can destroy Buhari, or how the recording even indicts Amaechi of abusing Buhari. The only thing Amaechi has inferred in that audio recording is that the president doesnt bother himself with empty ramblings, that he actually reads and laughs over some opinions, and in my opinion, it is actually a good thing if a leader doesnt bother himself with distracting opinions. I'm just struggling to understamd why Buhari's opponents are excited over this tape. |
Abia1stboy:Sorry boy, I'm not your family member, thanks.. If you cant articulate a response, then better go to your assylum and take your drugs. |
Abia1stboy:Who is the everyone?... Like I said before, burna boy was quite right when he said Nigeria was filled with daft youths (youths is plural). Of course its not unusual for dumbos to feel everyone is their family member. I could even feel your excitemnent when you found your colleague who thinks in the same manner as you... But sorry boy, I'm not your family member... Like I said before, a simple way to identify your family members is that when they see a comment, since their brains aren't functional enough to craft a response, they instantly resort to one line insults in hope that it makes them look smart in public view. |
amliftedhigher: Abia1stboy:I'm 100% sure you're referring to your brains here, voth of you... Burna boy was right after all, you cant give what you dont have. So your only hope for image redemption is running around throwing insults with the belief that it makes you look smart. |
bareal:So after listening to that audio, what you understood was that the president cannot read and doesnt listen to opinions? By the way, didnt know there were actually normal people who expect a president to listen to the opinion of 200 million people, including silly opinions. |
fasho01:The reason it was debunked originally is obvious to even a child. The audio clip released yesterday was craftily cut short by chief PDP propaganda strategist Reno for obvious reason (i.e. to twist and distort the info). The short bit of the recording released yesterday made it seem like Amaechi was insulting the president. So the APC guys had to debunk it saying that was impossible. But now that the full recording has been released, it actually proves a totally different narrative. No leader or president in the world can possibly listen to the opinions of everyone, and there's absolutely nothing wtong with that, and there's absolutely nothing wrong or abusive or indicting about the staement which Amaechi made (which happens to even be a goat seller joke). |
So at the end of it all, the so called BOMBSHELL Reno has been wanting to drop is that Amaechi said Buhari doesnt listen to the comment of a goat seller in Onitsha? I think I'm totally lost in the euphoria of this; would be nice if someone can please explain to me what exactly is wrong with Amaechi's statement... How does that statement indict anybody?.... and why exactly are some people in the PDP camp rejoicing over this statement? Am I missing something? ![]() |
sacramento1212:Lol...After listening to the partial recording yesterday and then listening to the more complete version today, if what you understood from this longer version of the statement is that Buhari doesnt read, then you're actually worse than what you paint buhari to be. |
mastercee:Have you listened to the full statement?.... What exactly is wrong with what Amaechi said? There's nothing in the statement that indicates that Amaechi is abusing Buhari. It's quite amazing how people's comprehension can be twisted based on title of threads. |
MeanChris:It's actually amusing that any sound adult can believe the wild tale that Obi's children who schooled in the UK and currently live in Nigeria do not have cars... Meanwhile Obi actually owns one of the flats at the Ikoyi apartment block where efcc busted millions of dollars in cash recently. There's nothing unusual if his son lives in a flat the man owns in Ikoyi. |
I'm struggling to see how this 4 seconds cropped audio clip actually indicts anybody. I wonder why it should even be an issue to be discussed. The statement could have been made in 2014 or even yesterday, it doesnt matter. But saying the president doesnt listen to anyone or doesnt read whatever, how exactly does that indict anybody? A good president ought to be stubborn, he doesnt have to listen or take to every single thing he's advised. So if one of the president's men is lamenting that the president isn't taking his advice, how exactly is that a bad thing to warrant this widesrpead masturbation by PDPians?... Nobody even knows under what context the recorded discussion was about. |
chymevicks:There's nothing from that 4seconds cropped audio clip which indicates that Amaechi was hiding to make the statement behind anyone's back. |
chiangwar:It is pointless eating uncooked food. Editing and releasing only 4 seconds of a long statement only serves one purpose = twisting and concealing the real message for sinister reasons. Any smart person knows this... Let the full recording be released so we can make more informed comment. |
That's wht he needs the presidency; as president, he can go anywhere with a diplomatic passport. ![]() |
SalamRushdie:If your sister was amongst one of those held captive by bokoharam, would you have cared so much if the govt chose to pay billions to have her released? |
Lol... new one to keep Nigerians busy throughout next week. Obviously Buhari doesnt listen to anyone besides his inner cabal controlling him. But then again, why exactly was the recording cut short by Reno?.... Why cant the full recording be released to expose the full message? |
How can a sane human forget this amount of money?... There's certainly more to this. |
jaxxy:Okay the Nigerian police is indisciplined and it's IG has at some point ignored senate invite, so therefore that is a good justification why Dino should also disregard court and police summons.... Okay, I get your point now. After all, it's a jungle we live in. |
jaxxy:What exactly are you talking about?... "Not running"?.... Are you aware the same man was summoned by a court but he bluntly refused to show up?... Are you aware the same man was invited by the police for a while now but he bluntly refused to show up?... And here you are, asking me why the police had to go to his house to get him?....What exactly do you mean by "not running"?.... A man who refused to open his doors for over a week? If he weren't a big man, would the police bother to stand outside and BEG him to open his doors?... wouldn't they have just broken down the doors and tied him with a rope after serious brutalising?.... If he were a common man, would you be here defending his blatant disregard for court and police invitations?... Could this be typical black man servile mentality where you believe he should be given god-like treatment because he's a senator/big man?... Na wa oh! |
aku626:An ambulance for what exactly?... An ambulance for a man who is hale and hearty?... Who in this world doesnt know the man is faking it in his usual theatric style?... If he were an ordinary citizen and not a 'big man', would you still have this same reaction? jaxxy:Dino is the only one disgracing himself in all this. From refusing to show up when summoned by a court (instead he claimed he was on a tree for 3 days), to jumping out of a moving vehicle because he didnt want to go to Kogi, to sitting on the floor in the middle of the road in protest, and then after much shouting and shouting, he lay down claiming his neck was broken and then eventually appeared in court on a stretcher. Now several months later, he's invited again by the police to continue on the case, but he keeps ignoring police and court invites for months. The police goes to his residence to fetch him, he claims he isnt around, refuses to show up for 8 days and then he finally opens his door and faints. Like seriouusly?... what sort of childish drama is that coming from an adult who should be a distinguished senator?... And you actually think he is being disgraced?... What would be your opinion if he were a common man? |
alsudan:It's only a pity that there are still Nigerian adults who still cant tell the difference between 'real' and the childish theatrics played by the drama king. |
If Dino were to be an ordinary Nigerian citizen, if he wasn't a 'BIG MAN', would there be all these nonsense outcries by these jobless groups?.... What exactly is wrong with a big man honouring a police invitation?.... Is he above the law? |
The time has really come for Nigeria to vote neutral candidates who have no direct or indirect links with the old order. But can these neutral candidates really win elections? |

madridsta007:When I say the crisis was popularized by politics, I wasn't referring to you; I refer to Nigerians as a whole, especially those who have no direct links with the middle-belt and who hardly every heard of these killings prior to 2015. Sectarian killings by Fulani marauders in Jos and across the middle-belt was very widespread prior to 2015, but a lot of people outside the zone hardly heard of it as it was barely ever reported on the news (people only heard of bokoharam). Post-2015 however, the violence was completely popularized by politics as it became a potent political tool to throw jabs at each other. Yes! the violence may have increased in recent times especially in Benue state, but based on reports we hear, I doubt it has really increased in the Plateau. It's only just more popular these days for the reason mentioned above. I pulled up some casualty figures from some website on these killings; of course these are just estimates based on available info, but they also give one a rough idea of the general trend. At the end of the day, if cancer is not treated quickly, it festers and becomes worse, and that's exactly what we're grappling with in Nigeria today with these terrorists. My only concern is where some people turn it all to an ApC vs PDP problem, in my opinion, both the PDP and APC have failed woefully in curbing the menace. https://www.cfr.org/blog/numbers-behind-sectarian-violence-nigeria

toolovely:He isn't even a Muslim either... Good Muslims I know dont care about your religion when they want to help you... That guy you quoted is just an anarchist and potential terrorist. By their reasoning ye shall know them! |
GoTV:This must be one of the proteges of the akintola man... Oga, a sensible and good Christian or Muslim does not care about the tribe, race or religion of who he helps. If as a Christian, I see very poor homeless people around my house everyday but I ignore them on the excuse that they aren't Christian, that simply means I am no Christian. For ypu to actually support the trash spewed by the crazy professor, it already speaks volumes of who you are - a confused human! |

[s]Even though I'm a born again Christian, i think we Christians have an over bearing attitude and our hypocrisy stinks to high heavens. There are millions of poor Christians in the country yet the priority of Kukah is to convert Almajiris to Christianity under the guise of providing help in order to shade the Muslims in future. How many of we hypocritical Christians can allow our children to be helped by Muslim organizations? Muric is very right on this one. We Christians should set our priorities right and stop heating up the polity. We really need to learn a lot from our Muslim brothers[/s]
