baliyubla: Your best resulted in her collecting a bullet straight to the head at close range.
May supporters of this evil government suffer the same fate as this poor girl, and may their families mourn as late Hauwas family are suffering right now.
Between 2010 and 2015, the same Bokoharam murdered over 5000 innocent men, women and children.
How about you praying this your stupid prayer for all those who directly or indirectly supported that government of PDP between 2010 and 2015 which sat back and watched while a ragtag group of riff raffs metamorphosed into an international formidable terrorist group?... Why dont you also pray for their families to also mourn like the families of the thousands killed by bokoharam in those years?
rmo19: YBTC NEWS-Daily Nigerian, an online newspaper has released another video captured with a spy camera shows Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, receiving part of $5m bribe from a contractor.
This is the second of the 15-series trove of video clips DAILY NIGERIAN, said.
This is funny and sad at the same time. The other day, the other guy had to hide Ote-Dollars in his cap. Now this one is loading stuff inside agbada. The sad part of all this is, nothing will happen!
kernel001: It doesn't take anything to make certain things work. What will it take Nigerian government to go into public-private port initiative?, as poor as Malawi, it has 4 ports, a country with less than 50 million population.
Yeah you're right. The continuous failure of leadership is the main reason we still struggle with simple things like efficiency in port operations. However, my previous comment was only just addressing the opinion of the person I quoted earlier who turned it to another apc vs pdp contest claiming it was Buhari's fault that Nigerian ports were inefficient and insufficient.
Captainrambo2: fighting corruption is not by arresting people here and there.
Institutions should be set up to make it almost impossible to carry out corrupt practises.
Gej who Apc tagged corrupt brought TSA and BVN And this has gone a long way in preventing curroption. that's why ganduje is accept raw cash if not straight to his aza.
Now what has buhari done. Apart from arrest. He'd better get ready to arrest ganduje
What has Buhari done?... When next you or anyone around you asks this question, here's the simple answer below:
GEJ's govt conceived the twin great idea of BVN and TSA as far back as 2013. But for obvious reasons, they refused to implement them since. Fast forward to 2015, Buhari came into power and instantly implemented those ideas.
The problem of Nigeria has never been a lack of ideas; rather, it's the lack of political will to implement.
zoneb: Only in this regime can something like this happen for the first time in Africa. Indeed there was a country. God bless Nigeria
Are you insinuating the system was automated before now and only became un-automated under this regime?... Are you insinuating the time wastage in clearing stuff at Nigerian ports started today?... Strange how some persons see everything only from the myopic apc vs pdp point of view.
Olboy..show me the flight schedule since 1997.. please..
Even before or after then..
No dey tell me use to.. 1000 sure..
Na person you dey follow talk no robot
Bannylove13: Your guys re not dealing with novice.. They used to..when was their last flight from the said airport.. Aren't they still flying from mm.. And Kano..jameta?
When I saw your first post claiming PHC wasnt an international airport with international flights, I initially wanted to reply you. But then I realised you were only joking, so I held back. But with your subsequent posts insisting on the same ignorant stand, despite the fact that several people have clarified things for you, it's really difficult placing what your motives are.
Kudos to otokx, Modath and blue3k for having the patience to respond severally to a person feigning sleep.
sophsia62: The Kano State government has declared that the video showing Governor Abdullahi Ganduje allegedly collecting stacks of dollars in bribe was doctored. Commissioner for Information in the state, Muhammad Garba, said this in a rejoinder issued Sunday evening.
The state government held a similar position some days ago after news broke that the video would soon be in circulation.
“We wish to state that there is no iota of truth to these allegations and if indeed there is any such alleged video, it is at best cloned,” it had said.
The video trending on social media has got many Nigerians talking especially at a time the Buhari government has slammed a travel ban on some Nigerians accused of corruption.
But, according to Garba, the video was “cloned, doctored, disjointed” and that it was deliberately released to “affect the anticipated quantum of APC votes from Kano in 2019”.
He said: “Kano state government has decided to file a criminal case against an online publication Daily Nigerian and its publisher on defamation of character after it released a clone and doctored video footage mischievously portraying Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje involved in an inappropriate conduct.
“The Office of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice is challenging the implausible and eccentric posting of the cloned video that went viral in a court of law considering the gravity of the caricature, which indicates the extent to which mischievous elements can go to discredit public figures by wielding non-existent scandals against them.
“A mere observation of the cloned video clearly shows that the video is doctored and disjointed with no material facts or evidence to prove the allegations, other than a callous attempt to tarnish the hard earned image of the office and the person of the Governor. “The Governor of Kano State wishes to once again emphatically debunk the allegation of receiving gratification of $5Million or any amount whatsoever from any person or body.
“It is important to draw the attention of the general public to the fact that the alleger is a serial blackmailer and extorter.
“We are also aware that the hidden motive is to reduce the popularity of the Governor and consequently affect the anticipated quantum of APC votes from Kano in the 2019 general elections.
“While the state government is taking the legal action, we wish to assure the good people of Kano that His Excellency will remain focus and continue with laudable programmes that will add value to the lives of the people of Kano State.
“We also call on the general public, especially members of the APC to remain calm and always be law abiding.”
Shameful punks. Another "it is a photoshopped video" foolishness. One would have expected a more sensible denial claiming the money wasnt a bribe. Since the news broke, they had enough time to make up a good story. But this is the best denial they can come up with? Tufia!
globemoney: [s]First Atiku reneged on an agreement reached by SE leaders and then he went on to pick a candidate based on recommendation from Nyesom Wike in the SS without consulting our leaders.
Atiku does not understand we have leaders in the SE, if he thinks he can win the SE without the support of SE leaders then he is simply dreaming. To make matters worse, Atiku picked as his running mate, an enemy of the Anambra State government. Makes me wonder if Atiku really wants to be president. With this, all SE governors across party divides are rejecting Atiku’s running mate. How does Atiku intend to win the region?
With the SE where he should have 80% of the votes now divided, Atiku may have lost the election before the election[/s].
Obi is the bestest person Atiku could have picked. Any grievance of the so called governors is inconsequential.
Did you just call Obi an enemy of Anambra?... lol... Only thieves hate Obi.
Tonyebarcanista is a brilliant chap, any side of the fence you throw him, he churns out a good argument. But the ashawo ways of jumping from bed to bed will not let him be great.
Meekdon: The outgoing Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has asked workers to collect their outstanding four months salary arrears from the incoming governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi.
He said the monies he could have used to pay them as expected had been withheld by the Federal Government for Fayemi’s resumption.
“They paid other states Paris Refund, they didn’t pay Ekiti; Fayemi should help me pay the money.
“They didn’t pay N2.2bn Budget Support Fund; my promise is fulfilled but the money is in the hands of government, they should help me to pay.”
Fayose spoke on Wednesday during the inauguration of a new school he built in his Afao-Ekiti home country as part of his legacies projects.
The governor told the gathering that he did not borrow money from anywhere to fund any of the projects.
“With all these legacies projects, I didn’t borrow any dime. I do not owe any debt, if they say I’m owing; they should show evidence of transaction.
“Besides, no governor can borrow without the knowledge of the Ministry of Finance and the Debt Management Office.”
Fayose urged the incoming administration not to neglect the school or abandon any legacy project.
He said the school named Gifted Academy International would receive students from Ekiti and outside on 50:50 ratio.
“The school is equipped with modern equipment, laboratories, furniture and Closed-Circuit Television for surveillance,” he said.
He urged the people of the town to preserve the heritage and support government in sustaining it.
I thought APC was the master of blame games, but Fayose just set a new record with this future generational blame; while others blamed their predecessors, Fayose dey blame future successor for the inability to pay salaries.
ozodigboo: Jeez ! I now know APC is desperate. countless faceless Apc idiats trying to suggest what will bring Atiku's downfall. Which one is Agbakoba ? lol
his options are Peter Obi.....Okonjo Iweala.....Soluudo....Ekweremadu
if he must go SW, then Akinwummi Adesina
Fixed!
I wonder why people keep mentioning Ekweremmadu when mentioning options. Besides helping his personal pocket to national loot, what exactly has Ekweremmadu done for humanity?
Why is it impossible for the entire government of APC to explain to Nigerians what exactly it has done with the loans it's taken so far?...
14 million APC members voted in the direct primaries for Buhari's candidacy for 2019, how can it be impossible to find just a single person out of these 14 million who can clearly explain in detail, what has been done with past loans?
They are done with childbirth, and enjoying themselves to the fullest .
The oldest child in that photo looks 10, the man could be in his early 40's while the lady in her mid or late 30's. Doesnt exactly seem like early marriage from my point of view.
Atiku taking a vice from the SW would be a distasteful insult to the SE for all the energy it has put in as opposition. Attempting that would once make the SE an object of mockery; and that would definitely give buhari a smooth sail.
seunmsg: Are you kidding me? You just called the provision of a valid law some flimsy sentences See, this is not the time to be emotional. The law is the law irrespective of how anybody feels about it. It also doesn't make sense to me but it is the law. That it was overlooked before now does not mean it will be overlooked in the future. There is a popular awareness about NYSC law after the Kemi Adeosun saga. APC screened out Shittu because he skipped NYSC. The moment Ngozi decides to contest for any political office, opponents and other busy body organizations like SERAP will sue her to court for violating NYCS act.
I stand by my previous statement. When the contents of the law makes no sense, then such law is nonsense and cannot be enforced. That is the reason laws are subject to review from time to time to remove or update such irrational clauses. As for the extract of the NYSC Act which has been quoted on this thread, it's either you and I do not understand it fully, or the clause itself is faulty and cannot stand.
There are a multitude of Nigerians who hold university degrees from Nigeria and other parts of the world but who did not bother to get nysc certs because they do not intend to pick up jobs which require their degrees. If after leaving uni, I decide to just put my degree aside and concentrate on my business, do you mean to tell me I'm automatically breaking the law by doing that?... I guess not! If that's what the case is, then the law makes no sense and cannot hold water. SERAP or no SERAP, if the case gets to any law court, it wouod be flung out.
Funny the way some folks reason and interpret things. I've learnt one new one today courtesy of some bright folks on this thread.
"A graduate who doesnt go for nysc is a criminal; regardless of whether he opts for his personal business or whether he even chooses to relocate from Nigeria. Earning a university degree certificate and not obtaining nysc cert makes you an automatic criminal."
So in essence you're saying a man who graduates and then dumps his uni certificate to focus on his main market business is automatically a criminal courtesy of some flimsy sentences in the NYSC Act?... lol
Take that sentence to court and watch how you will be disgraced from the gates.
0monnak0da: That is beer parlour logic. Go and read the NYSC act 13(2) You cannot Dump your certificate. Once you graduate before the age of 30 you MUST serve IF YOU WANT TO SEEK EMPLOYMENT WITHIN NIGERIA WITH YOUR DEGREE.
It is not optional Not only must you serve failure to serve is punishable by prison.
Fixed!
If I graduate and decide to dump my certificate and go into private business, I break no law. Being educated is not a crime, obtaining a degree is not a crime. And if anybody or institution decides to challenge this simple commonsensical fact, such a person or institution will be summarily disgraced in any court.
agabusta: Your submission is incorrect if you put it side by side with the provisions of the NYSC Act. Reference a snippet of the Act posted below please.
You do not read things like this in isolation. You cannot criminalise a person simply because they have a degree. The worst the Act can do is prevent such person from securing job roles which require a degree. Anything other than that, if anyone tries to raise dust based on the nysc act, the court would be left to decide on that; and the upside down logic of the nysc act would certainly be rubbished.
0monnak0da: Question has nothing to do with me or anything I said so if the problem is not comprehension it is mental. We are talking about Ngozi Okonjo Iweala
Oh you still do not get the point?... But you were the one who few seconds ago, placed yourself on a high mental pedestal. How come the simple point being fed to you is too difficult for you to mentally grasp?
In simple terms, the nysc act is rubbish. You cannot criminalise a person for not serving a country. The best it can do is prevent them from securing job appointments which require degree qualifications because a degree qualification in Nigeria MUST be accompanied by an NYSC cert. However, if the person settles for a position not requiring a degree qualification, NYSC cert will be as useless as the 'P' in psychology.
