samuelchimmy: and why is that. I thought projects are supposed to be executed tactically to serve the populace from all geo-political zones.... Don't tell me they are coming to it, you are not their spokes person.... I mean you should know how important enugu is geopolitically it should take alot of high level directives To ignore it... Assuming we already had numerous functional rail lines in different locations around the country, but yet to have any at Enugu, then your point would have been rational. But that is clearly not the case. You say Enugu is an important city and there's no doubt about that. But Lagos is also an important city, being the former FCT and the commercial capital of Nigeria, the economy of Lagos alone beats the economy of several geopolitical zones in Nigeria put together. If there's a scale of preference, I know it makes more sense to power Lagos with a functional standard rail before anywhere else in Nigeria. Similarly, Abuja is also a large city and the FCT of Nigeria. Going by simple logic, you dont expect Enugu to have a functional rail before Abuja or Lagos. The 3rd rail is the Warri to Ajaokuta line which was built specifically for the steel industries as an important prerequisite for Ajaokuta steel company to be fired up. And by the way, I dont need to be anyone's spokesperson to know this, I'm just an ordinary Nigerian whose mind hasnt been messed up with irrational theories. |

samuelchimmy: Please mention one viable way of transport that is currently in place to move coal.... Don't tell me the state are responsible for the rail reforms that's going on in other parts of the country... Not to mention all the ports that have been rendered useless by the same fg, for a reason I don't know why...... Pls tell me if it's not the work of the fg to provide all these things..... Tell me what's stopping the fg from repairing qll most of the federal roads linking to se..... I'm not sure you've been to the onitsha/enugu road... A road that is struggling to transport people is what you want to use to transport tonnes of coal...... Which sensible investor will invest in such kinda environment samuelchimmy: the problem my dear friend is not in the mining but in the facility of transport... Of which federal government is responsible for.... All this railroads reforms that is going on all over some part of the countries, can you mention one that is going on the se/ss? Good questions. First of all, I hope you remember the real reason behind my previous comments?... The Op mentioned something about coal mining activities going on in Gombe and Kogi; someone else then mentioned a theory that 'marginalisation of the SE' was the reason why coal mining could be active in Gombe and Kogi, but not in Enugu which has the largest deposits. My earlier comment was specifically to rubbish/deflate that watery theory. You however claim the theory is true; that it's truly the FG's fault because the FG has failed to provide decent transport links to Enugu vis a vis, motorable roads and railway links. Now this is my own point - I totally agree that mining activities in Nigeria has suffered a great deal because successive Nigerian governments have failed to provide necessary transport infrastructure to power the mining ministry. But what I do not agree with is that it is restricted to the SE zone; this is one bizarre narrative that has been so widely peddled, people now just swallow it as gospel without bothering to rationalise it first. Please can you mention one viable way of transport that is currently in place to move coal from Gombe? You claim the FG has deliberately killed mining activities in Enugu by ensuring there's no transport link to the city. Please what is the nature of the road/rail transport link to Gombe or Kogi?... Is Enugu the only place in Nigeria with bad access roads?.. Is there any single zone in the entire Nigeria that can boast of decent roads?... You sound as if every other zone in Nigeria is Dubai; why is it that when narrating the failures of successive governments, some persons always twist the narrative to make it seem the failure only happens in the SE?... You also claimed the FG deliberately killed the seaports in the southern and eastern zones, please can you mention any single thing owned and operated by the NIgerian government in any zone of the federation which works?... Why is it always narrated as if to say it's only in the SE that things don't work? With regards to rails, there are currently 3 standard gauge rails in existence today; - Warri to Ajaokuta (built by OBJ to connect the 2 steel industries) - Abuja to Kaduna (built by GEJ) and - Lagos to Ibadan (currently under construction) Yes there's no standard rail yet to Enugu, but that will certainly come up in future; the rails are just a new development that will take time to spread across the nation. I see no reason why this must be another basis to shout marginalisation as if to say the SE is the only place without functional rails. |

Make each region develop at its pace with its God given natural resources Lol... Nothing is currently being produced but your worry is that 'if' something is produced, the proceeds will be shared with dormant unproductive states up north?... What about the dormant unproductive states down south who also take share of proceeds for producing nothing?... Even this comment you quoted mentions that Kogi and Gombe (north) are mining coal but Enugu (south) which sits on the largest coal deposits is just sitting and waiting for proceeds to be shared. geek4k: I Need Help! I'm Emotionally Traumatized.
Hi guys!
It's quite a long read so I've tried make it as concise as possible..
I bet you'll enjoy every piece as you thumb through.
We've known each other for some time before i asked her out. She gave a "Yes" sometime on August 2014, which has practically made the relationship 4 years old.
At the earlier stage, we had great feelings towards each other, we where literally submerged in love, did stupid and childish things together. Y'al know what love turns one into nah.
We where practicing a distance relationship. Same city, although just a 45min road trip kept us apart ~ we never denied visiting each other as we often did. thanks to 2go and what'sapp.
Time past, amidst the minor quarrels we had a greater reason to remain put, we grew stronger in love ~ i bet we had the best teenaged age. Got to a point we believed we where both destined for each other i was even prepared to tie the knot if only nature treated my pocket right.
All the while, we never had any bed intimacy only kisses and bla bla... Not until sometime 2017 when i went in. Arrghh! Very awkward i must say, just try to imagine where 2 novices are trying to make something of it. All through the session i was just looking for my way in.
The subsequent attempts after taking several xx video tutorials was fairly good NOT GREAT because she had a very bad sex beginning; a rape victim to be precise and that experience corrupted alot in her sex life. You don't want me to go into details, I hate to too.
Note: She is a very brilliant girl who got great personality, more reason i loved her wholeheartedly. The not-too-great sex paragraphs isn't made to sabotage her memory but because it's a cornerstone of my ordeal with her.
Heads up guys! She started having issues with the sex experience thing. Not because it wasn't SO GREAT but because it makes her backslide from her faith. Ohh didn't i mention? She's from a very strong Christian home.
I guess the devil took its chances on us, never wondered why it took so long before her realization. Now she's trying to be that born again kind of person again. Guys! I'm sure you know what that means.
The privileges i used to enjoy as a boyfriend where all ripped away not even a kiss or bla bla to manage almost drove me into maturating. Not just that, this is also garnished with some funny acts, not having my time et all. On my end it seems she utterly turned her back against me.
The whole quarrels erupted and all made me look myself like a devil trying to deviate God's child. I on the other end I'm just a lover boy trying to fight back for his feelings.
Things deteriorated, we hardly talk and even if we do wouldn't last more than a minute, all the while i was just drowning in sadness and heartbreak.
I still remember when we broke up our sexual relationship and remained good casual friends. My mind chose to cut any connections with her but my heart said otherwise. I couldn't cut it down, the imaginations of never seeing her again dreaded me even.
Bluntly speaking. I'm very emotionally sensitive with dealings with her. My happiness depends hugely on her, hence, any unfair act she gives set my heart ablaze. that's exaggerated though, but it's just as bad as that. Every now and then I'm always emotionally traumatized and this has bad effects on me.
My Regrets? I wouldn't blame myself much because i was inexperienced and naive when our feelings was blossoming, I let loose my 100% heart commitment and now the consequences is just as fatal.
If i had known and took precautions earlier I'd have moved on with my life by now. But unfortunately, the reverse is just the case here.
Back to the present. I've discovered that even the casual friendship hurts me. I mean Yes! No sex, no kisses i get it! I don't just get a dedication from her, no special moments everything is just as boring AF and this disgusts me.
This is where your I need advise. Respective of the fact I'm still emotionally attached to her, I've accepted my faith of letting her go the issue now is doing this practically. It's just too difficult for me to handle.
Beside this, i feel we might later need each others help one way or another as we're both distant learners in same institution.
The feeling of not seeing her ever again dreads me alot whilst i doubt I'm capable of moving on if i don't cut her completely of my life.
Sometimes I feel the cause of this crazy feelings is because she deflower me. I don't just know why it's this much.
Note.It might sound to you that she stopped loving me or never had feelings for me. But the fact is she's too very in love with me all along even till now. Her faith is just strong and nothing can supersede it.
Insults are welcome. But first understand its usefulness her before you waste that effort.
What do you think i should do guys? It might hurt you to know this, but the lady in question is already tired of the relationship but isn't bold enough to say it for fear of hurting you; the church thing is just a suitable excuse she's used to keep you at bay. If she's still into you, while being born again may stop her from getting intimate or physically close, it wouldn't prevent her from talking to you; infact the lack of physical touch would even push her to want to talk more out of fear of losing you over the 'lack of intimacy' thing. It's very likely she's being distracted by another guy right now; she's not dating the other guy (yet) and may never do, but there's likely someone out there who's singing the very kind of songs she really wants to hear in her ears every day. That explains why she no longer has your time or has reduced communication with you. It's likely this new dude may also be chipping in the religious card which she wants to hear, so her inner mind is currently battling with the silly idea that the new guy is the one she divinely needs and not you who is 'carnal' and a 'bad influence'. Once again, this might hurt, but it seems her mind is already messed up and stolen for good; you lost her already and by sticking around, you would just complicate matters for yourself. To save yourself further trauma, organise a meet up with her and thoroughly drill her till she confesses the truth about whether she's still interested in your relationship or not. Goodluck! |

A man under whose watch hundreds of Christians have been slaughtered is not a man with whom Kumuyi, of all people, should be hob-nobbing publicly with..let alone open 32 with. Smh. I'm sorry but FFK has said nothing which makes sense here; it's a pity we still have normal people out there who still fall for FFK's diabolic divisive politics. Hundreds of Christians were killed in those same locations under OBJ, Yaradua, GEJ and now under Buhari. FFK making this a Buhari things and insulting Kumuyi for shaking hands with Buhari is just another one of FFK's deranged rants which hes known for which makes most serious politicians distance themselves from him. If FFK (or any of those who think what he says here makes any sense) shares the exact same sentiments of disappointment against every single Christian leader who shook the hands of OBJ, Yaradua and GEJ also, then it might be agreed that his rants aren't just another case of divisive politics. Car Talk › Re: Let's Talk About Brake Fluid! by obailala(m): 8:23am On Oct 03, 2018 |
AutoElectNG: Reason for thread:
Customer complaint, after repeated hard stops, brake pedal travel increases tremendously
Reason: too much moisture in the brake fluid causing it to turn into gas and making it compressible, gas is compressible, liquid is not! As a result total loss of braking power, even replacing brake pads did not make a difference...full braking force returned as soon as the brake fluid cooled down
To avoid a situation like this, consult your manufacturer manual and replace brake fluid as per their specifications or using a commonsense schedule of every 20,000 miles or 2 years to be safe
If you are paranoid, you can replace it sooner, by sooner as soon as you notice the brake fluid has boiled, it also means that your brake fluid would have lost some of its effectiveness and also by extension, you have also lost braking power/ability.
Could this be the reason for some accidents on our roads?
The mechanic he consulted suggested that the brake fluid is ok and that the ABS is faulty and should be disconnected.
Could this also be one reason why brake components could fail and require their replacement?
Food for thought and remember, a driver is only good if he can stop the vehicle at any and all times and that job is done by brake components of which the brake fluid is a very necessary soft part which should never be taken for granted!
Engine oil does not necessarily go bad after 3,000 or 5,000 miles yet many change it, but many never consider changing brake fluid...is that not a rather worrying contradiction in service practices? You're absolutely right about this. The chemical used as brake fluid in cars is hygroscopic, i.e. it absorbs moisture over time and that can make it inefficient. Brake fluid usually gets very very hot; so in order for it not to boil in operation, the hydraulic used has to be something which has a very high boiling point. But when the fluid absorbs excess moisture over time, upon heating to just 100degs, the water in the fluid boils and becomes gas, thereby increasing the compressibility of the overall fluid which consequently results in less efficient braking. Another consequence of excess moisture in brake hydraulic is corrosion. With excess water in the fluid, it becomes corrosive and you could risk corroding your braking components. I know all of these, but then, everytime I go for a full service of my car, I'm usually told my brake fluid has much moisture and needs changing. But as an African man who's naturally 'reactive' in nature, after they quote the price to change the fluid, I just tell them to forget it; after all they've been telling me the same thing for 3 years now and my brake hasn't failed for once. |
