Izonpikin:You mean so that YOUR BP can come down? |
Izonpikin:The last time I checked, you have a brain, you have a mouth, you have a hand, you are literate and you have internet connection. Kindly remind me what stops YOU from mentioning those buhari failures you refer to yourself? |
Izonpikin:I did not heap the rot of the past on GEJ, I only pointed out his own indiscretions and failures. If that's too much for you to comprehend, then it's not my problem. |
pokipoki:Someone claimed Nigeria was generating 4000mw when pdp handed over to apc, I was only responding to the person hence I simply extracted the specific bit (i.e. the last week of pdp) needed to deflate his lie. Meanwhile I provided a website link, if you need further information (outside the focus of our discussion), you can simply visit the site at your spare time. |
Lol.. Ngige go hear am today... Pouring insult on top deep injury ![]() |
magoo10:You've not still answered any of my questions. Stop beating about the bush, provide the evidence that Nigeria was generating 4000mw before handover to the new govt. And then again, I don't hate GEJ, I have absolutely no issues with Jonathan. I only hate seeing when his supporters like yourself, out of 'election-loss-trauma' driven hatred for Buhari/APC, begin to conjure some phantom achievements for PDP/GEJ and sometime I just can't help but wonder whether you feel everyone else was blind when GEJ was ruling Nigeria. Incidentally, that is all I do here on Nairaland, deflate the nonsense lies which you people keep telling yourselves and the unsuspecting uninformed public about how GEJ made Nigeria El Dorado before APC/Buhari came in and crumbled everything. SO once again I beg of you, show me the evidence you claim to have of where Nigeria was generating 4000mw before APshit came in and spoilt the perfect power system overnight. |
magoo10:If you claim power generation capacity was 4000mw, I dont give a damn about the 'capacity', what I care about is the actual generation figure. If we want to start talking about 'capacity', then APC can as-well brag that they've attained up to 5075mw generation capacity and increasing. But since you insist generation was 4000mw as at the time PDP handed over, kindly show us your evidence. I've presented several links to prove my own point. |
pokipoki:Below shows the record of Nigeria's power generation as at the last week of May 2015 just before the last government handed over. Now kindly tell me who's the real clown running around swallowing nonsense lies about 5100mw? www.nairaland.com/attachments/5381093_powergen_jpeg1c9f6029b22df1fe842d7c86b55cae51 Power jumping from 3000mw-1500mw-1330mw-1700mw within few days inside one week, and this sort of erratic rotten power system is what you claim to be 5100mw that couldn't be maintained?.... Who's really the gullible political propaganda swallowing clown here? http://www.nsong.org/Library.aspx |
magoo10: magoo10: magoo10:Look at this young man littering my mentions with baseless political campaign jingles. What if I tell you the power ministry under Fashola has boosted Nigeria's power generation and transmission capacity to over 7000mw?... While that remains a FACT, power CAPACITY means nothing as long as the actual generation is still nonsense. Highest power generation Nigeria ever attained prior to 2015 May 29th was 4517MW. Post May 29th, the peak power generation has gone beyond that to something above 5000MW (not sure of the exact figure), so quit spewing ignorance here... But then again, what exactly does it matter to hit a peak at a particular day and then relapse to nonsense figures for the rest of the time. You claimed that GEJ/PDP handed over 4000MW to the current APC government, I proved to you that your claim was wrong, you should swallow your pride and go back to sleep. |
three:All I can say is, many thanks for providing a more appropriate link to further substantiate my point. NESO reports the "Lowest Generation of 22/05/2015" as 1,331MW, the Premium Times link which I provided earlier stated it to be 1,327MW, an insignificant difference in reportage. But remember I was only trying to correct an erroneous claim by the other dude (magoo10) who claimed 4,000MW was handed over to APC who have failed to maintain the 'perfect' power system handed over to them. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/183496-nigerias-power-generation-at-all-time-low-crashes-to-1327mw.html Examining the daily generation levels in that handover week, we had 2614MW (on 20th May), 1758MW (on 21st), 1331MW (on 22nd) and 1515MW (on handover day). This is the sort of erratic power supply someone claimed to be 4000MW. And guess what, even with your evidence provided, he still insists it was 4000MW (see his follow up post below). Dont know whether to laugh or cry for the kind of youths we have today even as we keep wondering why the old men have refused to leave leadership magoo10:
|
magoo10:I posted a link to support my point as a fact. Kindly step aside please if you can't substantiate your claims, I don't engage with people who dwell on empty conjectures. |
Realtouchnot: ![]() The bad belle for this man is strong... |
magoo10:When you feel a compulsion to always politicise everything along the lines of PDP vs APC, you end up exposing your own ignorance. Since you claim the power crisis makes APC a failure, let's go down the road and determine who the bigger failure is. PDP spent over $24 billion on power between 1999 and 2015 ($16 billion by OBJ and $8+ billion by GEJ). But what did PDP handover to APC with regards to power supply? http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/183496-nigerias-power-generation-at-all-time-low-crashes-to-1327mw.html http://allafrica.com/stories/201505250099.html 1327mw was Nigeria's exact power generation figure on the week when PDP was handing over to APC. Your statement of 4000mw is either out of ignorance or a deliberate attempt at misinformation. So now that you know the truth, and since you want to play the apc vs pdp game, kindly tell us who is the bigger failure? |
Izonpikin:Pointless arguments... So in your wisdom, because GEJ is from the Niger Delta which produces oil, so therefore he was right by ensuring he did nothing to diversify the entire nation's economy from oil?.. Because Buhari is from the north, then he should only make use of money from agriculture to govern the nation even as a president?.... What sort of childish mentality even props up these 0-0 kind of reasoning? ![]() Talking of private jets, there was an income boom in the country between 2010 - 2014, Nigerians didnt see old refineries being fixed and neither did we see new ones spring up. We didnt see any single major road being completed, not to talk of anything major in the power sector. Only thing we got from those boom years was a proliferation of private jet ownership by every idiot out there and you think this is an APC vs PDP matter?... Any enlightened mind can easily discern that the lost opportunities in terms of invaluable infrastructure was substituted by those private jets and the lavish wasteful lifestyle which black man is naturally known for. But here you are, asking me whether it was GEJ that bought the private jets probably because it was my father that was responsible for overseeing the utilisation of Nigeria's revenue. |
Lol... Uncle Jona |
Lol... People dey go church shaa... |
Izonpikin:Money is needed to create money - #CommonSense Diversification = Money x Time Your oga had more money than everyone else who has ever ruled Nigeria 'put together', he also had 5 years but couldnt diversify a thing within that period; okay, since he couldnt create more money besides just the same ol' oil money, smart thing would have been to save in the boom days. But no! He preferred to squander and pillaged and reduced even the funds saved by others to large negative balance. At the end of the tenure, nothing to show for it except a large number of scallywags owning 1 and 2 private jets, no major roads completed, no refineries, no power improvement. But now here you are, expecting a diversification miracle from someone else who has less than half the revenue your oga was getting and who has spent less than 2 years in power. And of course you call him a dullard for being unable to perform the miracle you expect him to conjure, but you call your oga a genius. Do we need to look far to see who the dullard truly is here? |
Delta state has zero opposition, everybody licks Ibori's boots in the state. You only reap what you sow... |
Izonpikin:Propaganda?... Since the very day jonathanians learnt of the existence of that word, they've used it indiscriminately not sparing a second to even consider what it means. Okay oga, since you want to loosely label the squander of Nigeria's oil boom between 2010 and 2014 'propaganda', can you please tell us what happened to all the money Nigeria made when oil unprecedentedly sold at an average above $100 for 4 years with full production (over 2million bbl/d)? Cos from my own point of view, refinery we nor build, road we nor see (if you doubt, show me any major road project built/completed), power we nor see (even after they claim they spent over $8bn on power). Abeg where did all the money go to because at the end of the tenure, we had reserves run down to less than $30bn, we had borrowing and accumulated debt in several trillions, we had subsidy unpaid running into over N500bn and because all the money had finished even when oil was still above $60, we were already borrowing massively to pay salaries. So abeg wetin be the propaganda? Oh sorry, you say Buhari cannot generate revenue for the country?... I can already see the so much revenue GEJ generated; no wonder it all evaporated as soon as oil price started dropping and oga Johnny had to borrow to pay salaries in 2015. |
Izonpikin:You now drive the argument to a directionless mode, that's what typical jonathan boys are known for. In your logic, I'm sure it's the suffering in Nigeria in 2009 that led to Yaradua's sickness right? Then again you claim obj handed over at $30?... My man, whilst the oil prices were actually double that figure, that isnt even the point so quit bending the direction of this talk. The point is that the amount of forex left in the reserves as at 2015 handover, obj left more than double that amount in the nation's reserves when he handed over in 2007. That is not withstanding the fact that oil prices were much lower then and same obj had cleared the nation's debts. But wetin ur Goodulucku do?.... squandered the cash even though he had more than double the income obj earned and he still went further to borrow massively to even pay salaries thereby plunging Nigeria into needless debts. Now some people who still literally gobble on Johnny's poo saw nothing wrong in those borrowings and debts, but you think buhari who is borrowing to fund capital budget to get us out of recession is an evil useless failure because people are suffering today. Meanwhile FG civil servants are about to go on strike cos oga Johnny couldnt pay them their benefit arrears since 2012/2013 (even with the massive revenue then). Yet some people feel buhati is the most useless one for being unable to instantly offset those debts in this time of recession. |
Banana Island? |
Izonpikin:A bigger failure handed over a wrecked ship to him... There's presently an excuse of the major drop in oil prices which forced down Nigeria's revenue by up to 60%... But the big question is, what was the excuse of the last admin which enjoyed the largest revenue in Nigeria's history?... That gives you an insight into who the most useless govt truly is. |
Izonpikin:No I dont think GEJ is our problem, I simply think he's part of the bigger problem and his indiscretions played a very major role in putting us where we are today. That he was lucky to sign out and bail-out just before the pangs of the economic crisis hit the common man, that doesnt mean he doesnt have a large chunk pf the blamed. So when you begin to think the current govt is useless, also have in mind that a more useless govt handed over to this one. In 2008 there was an oil crisis similar to what we have today, but because the leaders then had a 'little' foresight and prudence, they ensured the nation had a little buffer to wedge the economic crisis and thank God, the oil crisis episode of 2008 lasted only 6 months so Nigeria was saved. Today we have a crisis that has lasted close to 3 years straight and when it started, there was zero buffer funds to wedge the calamitous effects. This is just like a soldier handing over a gun with no bullets to his colleague going into battle. And now the colleague is struggling hopelessly and of all the people in the world to complain, it is the very guys who handed over bulletless guns (and their supporters) that have the loudest voices of criticism. And you actually expect no one to mention the name of the previous soldier? Oh yes! it is Buhari's duty to get us out of the mess, a thing he isnt doing well at, but the previous useless guys who worked overtime to create the mess should kindly shutup and stop insulting our collective intelligence |
Izonpikin:The herpes analogy is a common-sensical narrative. There's nothing to be happy or sad about in it; it's just the reality of life which should be obvious to any enlightened mind; but unfortunately, many Jonathanians still cannot discern why it would be difficult to forget the indiscretions of the last admin. Even when some ignorantly blast the current admin for things that were clearly the fault of the last govt, they still wonder why the current guys keep defending themselves by mentioning the last admin. And yeah, this admin might be useless, but nothing beats the useless uselessness of the last admin that inherited a fairly good economy, buoyant reserves and enjoyed unprecedented revenue boom, but still somehow ensured they squandered it all to the ground before leaving at an economic lull period effectively ensuring that their successors had zero economic armoury to ward off the impending economic crisis. Of course the crisis finally came down and the current guys are battling hopelessly to salvage the mess, but then, the same supporters of the wasters keep bragging about the 'giant wasting strides' of their heroes. |
pressplay411:This sums it all, this illustration answers the questions of those who keep asking why APC wouldn't stop talking about the last administration. Worst of it all is when the same members of the last admin and their numerous weeping and wailing supporters still have the guts to have the loudest voices blaming the current guys for not automatically/miraculously solving the myriad of problems they created/couldn't solve in 5 years. A typical example was portrayed in a recent thread on this site where a multitude of these guys kept blasting the current admin for being unable to clear benefit arrears of FG civil servants owed between 2012 and 2015. |
He could have remained legit and still been a boss with those contracts. #Greed |
These Chinese guys would soon take over the world. They see your thing, they clone it, and sell it cheap. And of course they make sure they patronise only their own products. So no kobo leaves their economy, funds only come in. The day Nigeria copies the Chinese model, that day we shall start getting things right. The Chinese even just completed test flights for their first 'large' passenger planes which is to compete with Boeing and Airbus; and of course, Chinese airlines have instantly ordered thousands. https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2017/05/05/11/3FF91C5600000578-4476430-image-a-13_1493980526554.jpg https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/660/cpsprodpb/17855/production/_95914369_gettyimages-678991366.jpg https://www.nairaland.com/3781589/chinas-1st-passenger-plane-takes Meanwhile, for all those saying fake, fake, fake!!! I laugh at your ignorance, you obviously live in the far past. Anyway, a Nigerian minister told us recently that our president even in London swallows Nigerian made tablets... ![]() |
sherilycious: chinazor006:Hence why I said he should be allowed to defend himself and negotiate his way out instead of the needless 'tribal based' defence many people keep coming up with online. Uba has a bottomless financial chest with which he can hire any calibre of lawyers to negotiate his case. My comment was only calling out those who kept saying meaningless things like "he's being persecuted because of his tribe." |
Kathmandu:Which elite southerner has been convicted?.... We need to stop this nonsense clannish based defense of everyone. Everything today in Nigeria is now viewed and interpreted from a tribal lense even in the most ridiculous circumstances. We keep making a mockery of ourselves with this paranoid victim mentality. Last time I checked, Uba isnt the only person involved in this case and others involved have been harassed by the same dss and forced to return huge sums. Now Uba is being asked to return his part and suddenly, it's now a case of 'it is because he is Igbo.' Oga Ifeanyi has a huge financial chest and can afford the best legal teams in the world to defend him, he doesn't need this nonsense 'it is because I am Igbo' based defense. |
kingzizzy:60% is arrived at only because many people myopically count places like Benue, Kogi, kwara, Plateau etc as 'North'. |
