SpecialAdviser:
I do know that both of them are occultic. But u are really misaligned with happening in PH with this ur comment. The scenario Amaechi found himself is different from that of Wike. The issue is that the federal government is flexing their muscles at all cost to retake Rivers and this is led by Amaechi. Sometimes I don't blame this Wike for his actions. U think its easy to fight a federal might? All oil barons and tycoons have joined efforts to remove this guy at all cost just because of oil. His resistance to their attempts is just causing the poor security situation in Rivers. And fighting a violent tyrant former military soldier like Buhari cannot just be compared to Amaechi fighting Jonathan.

Truth is politicians are too selfish, if not Amaechi would have allowed peace reign in that state just for the sake of his people.
Buhari who couldn't play the simplest politics, thereby leading to the emergence of Saraki and Dogara, do you really think the same Buhari who's battling with his health has any particular interest in Rivers' internal politics?... You think he actually has his hand in what's been going on in Rivers?

Yeah, you're right..

Almost all of us are guilty of trolling in a way, no matter how small.. It just depends on the level..
Anyway, let me not say trolling, I rather say we all Jest occasionally, which is not bad..

Some times people can be very provocative and childish, so I have to respond and put them in their place...

But on a lighter note, there are still lots of intelligent discussions and information on Nairaland, it's all about the section...

The worst section in order of stupidity are
Crime, Politics, Romance, sexuality ...
I think the moderators in this above section needs to work harder... And topics of this sections are mostly on the front page

Go to Programming, Travel, Fashion, career, family, health, graphics and video, foods, Agriculture, "Religion", Car talk, Pet.... There are loads of information and intellectual debates going on, very moderate/no insults and trolling..

Why Facebook, Instagram, whatapp has lower percentage of stupidity is just due to the fact those sites don't really have an anonymous nature..

People on Facebook or Instagram that are on Nairaland still exhibit stupidity, it's not about the person or personality (na the same people for Facebook wey dey very cool, dey misyarn and misbehave for Nairaland) , it's about the enabling environment Nairaland gives them. Facebook or Instagram don't tolerate rubbish

Nairaland, Twitter nd blogs gives room to fools to troll successfully and go without notice or revealing their real identity, the site is damn anonymous...

Some topics that trend for some days make me marvel,
A topic like "hey I fuucked my sister so hard, what should I tell my parents" or "I need Toto badly this hot afternoon" will trend from the morning till night grin grin
The mods will not hide and ban such moniker, or probably it generates traffic wink so the turn a blind eye.

Some monikers are renowned for their bigotry, I know over 50 personally, this guys are given free room to carry on their nefarious activities and name checking.

The are rarely banned, if the are banned the open another moniker immediately, some brag how the can open Gmail in 2 minutes just to open another moniker..

Can't Nairaland start banning IP address, many websites do it, like Nigerian IP address are not allowed in some foreign business/commercial websites, that's why Yahoo boys use different tools to bypass that....

But I don't think an average troll on Nairaland will go through the troubles of buying a VPN or any other tool just to create another moniker on Nairaland undecided.

If I copy Oga Seun, he may probably hide my comment....

Make we continue dey manage ourselves.
.

What's funny is the hypocrisy of some people..
Especially those in the AFONJA vs IPOB crew..
You can't insult call someone or call someone afonja or Igbo or mock a certain tribe and don't expect reprisals, that's the bane of bigotry and tribal wars..

People like omenkaLives or omenka have the guts to talk about Bigotry and tribal wars on Nairaland, we are really in end times grin grin

Someone who is a seasoned tribal warrior, who has fought many deadly wars in his life time..
Will now Come and start complaining grin cheesy grin grin

Or wait, omenkaLives u expect to mock ipob/Igbos and expect them to be smiling undecided, of course the will attack you back naaa undecided undecided n'a so war dey start..

What are you expecting, when you go around all Igbo related threads spurring hatred everywhere, of course the whole scenario will be hated up...

Same goes for Igbos, trolling on Yoruba people.
Or just anybody trolling on anybody..

What I hate most is hypocrisy.. This issue is wholistic, only a shameless hypocrite will Blame only one party
Lol, Absolutely... truth is that the trolling is fun sometimes, but I think it gets boring when taken to the extreme. For example, the Afonja vs ipob thing is now very annoying.

CelebritiesRe: I Go Dye’s Mansion For Mum Valued At 5.4 Million Dollars by obailala(m): 9:19am On May 21, 2017
HungerBAD:
Since highly rated comedian I Go Dye unveiled the house he built for his mum last Sunday, curiosity has been set adrift in many quarters, with tongues wagging on the possible estimation of the value of the palatial edifice.

The Golden Eyes castle is situated at Amb. Francis Agoda Virgin Island, while the almost completed Royal Golden seal is seated at Amb Francis Agoda sugar land, both castles have attracted many viewers who are fascinated by its uniqueness.

However, Potpourri’s investigation has revealed just how much the mansions must have cost the comedian. According to an architect/ estate developer Wale Balogun ‘’one cannot presume knowledge of accurate sight alone’ but from the structural design and fortification of the castle in question here, both properties will be estimated to the tune of 5.4 million dollars.

Potpourri further learnt that both castles were contracted to a French company Monreve, which handled all the sculptural and concrete enforcement while Revamp Construction Company owned by the comedian, handled the building of the castfles.

“The Golden Eyes which was presented to his mum last Sunday has a unique customized golden sculptured face moulded in the image of his grand mum, Queen Agnes who nurtured him as a young kid,” Lilian Akpomene a close friend to the comedian told Potpourri.

“Indeed this edifice has a monumental standard, which will out live contemporary designs of today and a long time to come. If the essence of a home is just to sleep, I guess a home structurally built as a castle, as a gift to express gratitude for love, is really meant to reflect the true value of what mothers mean to the world,” she added.

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/05/go-dyes-mansion-mum-valued-5-4-million-dollars/
2 things:

1. Where is the house located?.... Is it located in a super rich neighbourhood like Asokoro, Maitama, nanama island?.... if at these sort of locations, then maybe the land could go for up to $1million.

2. Even if the land goes for $1mil, there's no chance in the world that that house would go for up to even $2mil.

After the initial injection of dollar into the economy, there was a fall in dollar at first then a increase subsequently.

As at now, there has been another increase in naira without any injection of dollar into economy. What could have been the cause of this? Another invisible injection of dollar into the economy.

If the first increaee in naira is associated with the pumping of dollar into the economy as you claim, what will be the associated cause of the current increase in naira.

Stop playing politics, investors confidence in naira recently has had positive impact on our legal tender.
You are absolutely the one forcing a political explanation into a straightforward simple event. The person you quoted was right, over $400 million was released by CBN into the economy early this week and that is 100% the reason why Naira appreciated from 390 to 375.

A salient point the Op has raised however is the fact that the very same people crucifying Buhari/APC for daring to construct a railway which passes only one south eastern city, these very same people actually hail GEJ as a 'heaven sent' hero despite the fact that the concept of this railway was conceived under PDP.

Beside, the same woman whose husband condemned Mama Peace for parading an illegal and unconstitutional "Office of the first lady" is same woman parading her illegal seal as the "Wife of the President", an office that is unconstitutional and known to known law.

Is it not the same Buhari that in January 2015 said there will be no office of the first lady (or whatever nomenclature) during his presidency, and was hailed by the hypocritical Buharists?

This pretentious General not only failed to keep his words but his hypocritical supporters see nothing wrong in the pretence of the old man.

Year 2019 is a year of justice, its a year Nigerians will send the pretentious General and his failed party to the opposition that they rightly belong.

Until then, we shall continue to pray for the President to be in good health so that he will be alive and well to experience his first electoral loss as an incumbent.
Show us any single component of Nigeria's budget from 2016 till date where a dime out of the country's funds was budgeted to 'Office of the Wife of the President'?

I hope Lagos, Osun & Ogun will not cry foul when Bayelsa, River and other NDDD states declare their own state owned Oil corporations. Nobody wise pass.
What exactly brings forth this sort of reasoning/mentality?

States have since been encouraged to engage in revenue generating ventures to prevent them relying only on hand-outs from the FG. There's no law stopping ANY state from setting up state owned oil companies, state owned refineries etc. Some very rich Niger Delta states have absolutely no excuse not having their own oil companies and refineries and bidding for oil blocks in their domain. The only thing stopping this is the uselessness of the leaders governing these states. Now Lagos governor takes up the initiative to do this and some people take offence in this?

Nafizzey:
At bolded so as to strength naira against Dollar I guess? Thank you
Actually the funds in the reserves is to facilitate importation, and remember we import everything in Nigeria from the very food we eat to almost 100% of the energy (petroleum products) we use. If the funds in the reserves drop too low, the CBN begins to restrict the amount it distributes into the economy, and when the amount of forex in circulation reduces, the cost of buying it goes up (which is exactly what Nigeria has been suffering from for 2 years now). So yeah you are right, the funds in the reserves is necessary to strengthen (and balance the strength) of the Naira.

Good development. But we keep complaining of lack of money to fund the Budget meanwhile our reserve is increasing.. Can't we take money from Reserve and inject into the economy?

Pls explain.
Take the money out of the reserves, and the dollar jumps to N700 or even N1000. There's a specific reason a country (which depends largely on importation) needs sufficient funds in its external reserves.

Guy nobody says Boko had not kidnapped girls before then but the number is the issue coupled with the fact that it was in govt held territory. I repeat again that Boko Haram had not started holding territory by then as they did later. They have always paraded themselves but holding territory is a different ball game. it was after the Kidnap of the girls that Boko Haram started taking those territories that would make the bulk of their caliphate.
BH did not capture Chibok territory, they only pulled a hit and run, same way they did in several other communities. Using a large convoy of vehicles, they invade in large numbers, kill the killables, loot the lootables, gather supplies, abduct young girls and women, and flee back into Sambisa. Once again, there is no record of BH 'capturing' Chibok territory. I'm sorry but you still have no point.
PoliticsRe: Budget: State House, Mdas Get N1.119bn For Meals, Refreshments by obailala(m): 9:10am On May 15, 2017
divinehand2003:
The State House and several Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the Federal Government are to share over N1.119bn on foodstuffs, meals, refreshments and welfare packages as contained in the 2017 budget.

The National Assembly had passed a budget of N7.441tn on Thursday, last week.

The PUNCH obtained a copy of the budget in Abuja on Sunday.

The Appropriation Bill (budget) has yet to be signed into law by the Acting President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, but he might do so this week.

The State House would buy foodstuffs and make other provisions for catering in excess of N123.5m while a separate N97.5m will be expended on ‘refreshments and meals’.

The President’s Office has another sub-head on ‘foodstuffs and catering supplies’ with a vote of N114.9m, while under the same heading for the Vice-President’s office, there is a provision of N53.4m.

In 2016, the vote on feeding and refreshments for the President’s office was N104.7m.

The Lagos Liaison Office of the State House is not left out as it has N7.4m for meals and another N8.3m for supplies.

The Ministry of Education and some of its listed parastatals will spend over N126m on refreshments, meals and sundry packages this year.

In the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, the figure is N29.8m for the main ministry and listed parastatals, while in the Ministry of Budget and National Planning, up to  N17.012m will go for tea, coffee, confectionery and other consumables.

For the Ministry of Justice and listed parastatals, N15.8m will be spent on meals and refreshments; N14.5m in the Ministry of Petroleum Resources; N12m in the Ministry of Women Affairs; N11.5m in the Ministry of Niger Delta; and N3m in the Ministry of Water Resources.

Similarly, Police Formations and Commands are to spend N25.8m on refreshments and the Ministry of Power, Works/Housing will spend N39m, while the Ministry of Interior and its listed agencies have a provision of N18.5m.

At the Ministry of Information and Culture, refreshments will cost N30.3m this year and N40.2m at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

http://punchng.com/budget-state-house-mdas-get-n1-119bn-for-meals-refreshments/
Figures are still far too high for a country in recession where millions are sleeping hungry. Just imagine, what kind of tea do they intend to serve in the budget ministry which should cost N17million in just 12 months?
