rad1cal2:Like I said, SR have a reputation built over 10 years of mind blowing reportage, that is the reason they can make the frontpage. The question is, what is the reputation of your mushroom blog in the large scheme of things? |
rad1cal2:SAhara reporters might report some false stories sometimes, but they have a world renown reputation which was built through 10 years of mind blowing whilstleblowing; and 90% of their incredible breaking stories have turned out to be true. That is the reason why they will get to the frontpage and you will not. If I may ask, what is the reputation of this hurriedly put together blog desperately dishing out very childish trash since morning to defend thieves? |
Another beautiful nonsense from another dull brained blogger trying to distort public opinion. On the other thread, this same Leadership.ng claims Buhari asked Amaechi to give judges $2million for the rivers and Akwaibom elections but the judges refused. Now the same leadership.ng, a whistle blowing site based in London again claims arrest warrant was fake. Sometimes I just wonder how old these people are, or could it just be daft adults controlling all these pdp inclined political fake news blogs? |
Very dull author of beautiful nonsense... |

jimi4us:Some people keep swallowing overdose of panadol for other people's headache... Cant exactly say if this is just deep seated bad belle, jealousy, hatred or just confusion or maybe a combination of all. @Topic, I think Rochas should learn to be quiet and allow his work do the talking. |

Lol... story story |
As long as that market remains there and as long as there isn't a robust system put in place to clear the refuse EVERYDAY, after clearing the refuse now, it would re-appear again within days, not even up to a week. |
Lol... An English speaking psychopath who can't even unite his own family(ies). Suddenly someone thinks this unstable character can unite anything probably because his new found passion for inciting tribal/ethnic/religious hate and division is in consonance with their sordid personal value system. When I rushed to open the thread I thought I was going to see something meaningful or someone encouraging but then I see this? Op must really be high on some strange dung.... ![]()

Bitterleafsoup:I had to go back and read the report and the title again but I couldn't see where it was written or where anyone even commented that it was fashola that built the centre, neither did I see anywherr wherr it was written that fashola was there to commision anything. Your jonathanian paranoia seems to be getting the better part of you. Free yourself bro.. |

MadamExcellency:Nigeria's import bill (average monthly forex demand) has increased by over 1000% between 1999 and 2016 so if you have an idea what foreign reserves are used for, then you will realise that a $3.5bn reserve in 1999 was worth far more than $30bn reserve in 2016. Regarding the defence of the Naira, are you by any means shifting blame this time to Sanusi Lamido for the inability of the last regime to shore up our reserves?... Wonderful! ...and by the way, where did you get that idea from that CBN only defended the naira under SLS during GEJ's time?.... are you saying Soludo didn't also defend the naira with billions of dollars under OBJ? |
This is a weird development, sometimes I just wonder the kind of persons advising buhari.... in fact it seems one thing common about Nigerian leaders is that once they get within the walls of that aso rock estate, their closest advisers instantly get possessed by contrary spirits. |
GBTYO:Lol... just imagine the resoning pattern of the person calling someone else a fool and a dunce.... I just checked the website and was able to dig up information on the foreign reserves back to 2014; liquid value of the reserves as at 2015 May 28th was about $29 billion... If you have a problem with your internet connection or you lack internet data, you should say so instead of making a pointless claim that CBN is hiding a detail which everyone already knows for whatever silly reason. For an import over-dependent country of 170 million people, $29billion barely meets a 3 months import cover, only real dunces don't understand the implications of that meagre figure on our survival as a nation, hence only capital dunces find it strange when someone regards $29billion as empty treasury. |
GBTYO:@Op instead of u to just talk say u be computer illiterate, u just open a thread to expose ur ignorance. And of course, they always have fans. |

eph12:There's always crisis in big parties with big godfathers and their varying interests. APC has been in crisis even before handover, when you have the Atiku clan, the Buhari clan, the Tinubu clan, the Saraki clan, and very soon we shall be having the Oshiobaba clan, that's definitely a recipe for disaster especially when a person like Buhari doesn't possess a bit of political correctness in his nepotistic style of leadership. What I find awful though is why the smaller parties can't wait to get big before they start exhibiting their own squabbles. |
eph12:Of course, I mentioned that they capture the entire SE first, then they start spreading out, Delta, Edo, AKS, CRS, Benue, even Labaran Maku could clinch something in Nassarawa... Sometimes I just dont get why smaller parties can't get their house in order, always one crisis or the other and then one begins to wonder what would happen if they grow into a large national party. |
nwakibie3:Same constitution gives an exception if the political party the person leaves is embroiled in a crisis. As we speak today, every single major political party is embroiled in one crisis or the other, so that clause in the constitution really has no effect. |
Now is absolutely not the time for this... APGA should get their act together, find a way to reclaim their mandate in Abia, push the killer party (PDP) out of the SE, spread their tentacles to neighbouring states like AKS, CRS, Benue and then think of how to form a powerful alliance with some other large party from another zone to claim the seat at Abuja. |
Congrats to the dude and his iyawo, wish them a marriage as beautiful as his paintings..... |
Yyeske:Douglas road has always been a mess since forever, I still cant understand why that old market cannot be relocated somewhere else and the road decongested and cleaned, Oshodi comes to mind. I don't understand this concept of leaving an ever increasing mountain of refuse as a protest by the authorities though, and what I find even more bizarre is a government official going public to make this statement (that's if this report is true anyway). |
blueto:Enough of all these recurring talks and threads on ECA, jonathanians keep digging up the dead topic and when jonathan bashing starts, the argument always ends with "APC likes blaming GEJ," it's time to move on people.. The fact remains that over $11billion was the FG's share of the ECA. The FG at the time says it used the money for fuel subsidy, SURE-P, payments for NIPPs, etc. Of course no one expected them to say they pocketed the money, but the fact remains that we can hardly see the benefits of those expenses today (oh I forgot, buhari's badluck may be blamed for the dissappearance of the benefits of those spendings). Meanwhile OBJ also spent $16billion out of ECA for the NIPPS but was able to still leave $20bn in the account, but because we could not see the benefits afterwards, we all (including you @blueto) still blame OBJ for 'squandering' that money. Lest I forget, OBJ and Yaradua also paid for fuel subsidy but were able to save massively. May we also not forget that ECA cash isnt the only money in the hands of the govt, what did GEJ's govt do with all the other money made? Now all I remember was that while those moneys were shared/disbursed/spent by GEJ, private jet owners and users club in Nigeria soared in membership, even state governors like amaechi and akpabio refused to be left out of the party. Politically exposed pastors even got double portions and even militants keyed into the jet age. At a point even GEJ bragged that Nigerias economy was booming as evidenced by the number of private jets in our skies. Of course the GDP of the nation boomed at the time because when money is spent (whether wisely or foolishly), the economy is affected positively, gdp rate increases, foreign investors rushed in to scratch their own share etc. But the difference between spending wisely or foolishly is only evident when the cash stops flowing. As soon as the oil price crashed everything began to crumble instantly, if the money was spent wisely on proper infrastructure, the economy would have had something to fall back to. GEJ is however a very lucky man indeed cos he just bowed out at the very moment the consequences of his indiscretions were about to starts showing up. So today, as long as posterity is concerned, when GEJ ruled, the economy boomed, but as soon as he left, a famine set in. You asked what the governors did with their own share, but that is not the matter here, the real matter is what the FG which was meant to save to balance the nation's economy did with its lion share. Isnt it also funny how they keep singling 3 opposition governors (amaechi, oshiomole and fashola) out of 36 majorly PDP governors?... Fo you mean to tell me governors like Akpabio and Uduagan or Mimiko were fighting against the FG releasing the money to states?.... Anyway, the last time I checked, the 3 names of opposition governors which you jonathanians like to 'blame' for GEJ's indiscretions, those 3 governor did not owe salaries and their states till date arent owing salaries so that answers your question. Finally you asked how much is in the ECA seeing that crude has been selling above benchmark for months. While I can say the ECA has grown a bit to $3.9bn, I also have a question; as we all know the benchmark price for 2016 budget is $38, did you try to find out what the benchmark daily production target for the year 2016 is?.... At 2.2million barrels per day target, kindly remind us how many barrels Nigeria has been producing on the average since NDA came on board since February? |
Whynotthetruth:How could you be talking/bragging about a measly $2billion when the money should have been over $20? |
As a matter of urgency, they should also privatise the new high speed rail system before it would be ruined like every other government operated venture. |
ephi123:Lady, this isn't a 'pdp vs apc' issue, this is rather a 'Nigeria vs them' issue and what I'm saying to you now has nothing to do with defending any particular govt. Yes we have to criticise but not everything is worthy of criticism, we mustn't just 'oppose' simply for the sake of it. Try and inform yourself on the way things work out there, if the UK govt. is against a coal project in Nigeria, a private UK body cannot leave the UK to come invest in a coal project in Nigeria, this is simple logic; activities of companies are regulated by their governments. |
