What would you call a scenario where the FG refused to invest or atleast compel investors to explore the deepest coastline in akwaibom close to the eastern markets and industrial hubs.? Is badagry seaport a better or more viable project?
How else would you call a situation where a single northern state like kano with negligible productivity gets more funds from the federal government than the eastern region?
Even this federal budget has the SE- a region of huge potential productivity with by far the lowest federal attention even much lower than even bokoharam ridden regions of the north.
I sincerely hope you are being payed for this or you are a yoruba masquerading to be igbo. If not, then it is deeply troubling.

Besides Abuja (FCT) and Lagos (ex-FCT), kindly point out to me any region or state where the FG has invested anything or which receives this so called 'FG ATTENTION' which you and many other indoctrinated ones keep lamenting about?... And by the way, what exactly do you mean by the "FG refusing to invest or refusing to force/compel investors to invest in the region?"...

Investors go to a location on their own freewill based on 2 main things;
1. A secure and enabling environment,
2. A market for their goods or services.

I cited an example of shoprite Warri being attacked and looted by some idiotic youth of one community late last year. When nonsensical acts like that are the norm, it beats my imagination why anyone who claims to be unsentimental, objective and smart should be surprised when similar businesses become reluctant to come to the SS; it's even more ridiculous when some persons choose to accuse the FG or 'other tribes/regions' for the indiscretions of these youths.

Regarding the SS seaports, importers boycotted the SS seaports because of insecurity (pirates and irate youths demanding undue settlements) and that is what killed those ports. I don't need to remind you that Igbos are the biggest importers in Nigeria and these businessmen were not foolish when they began opting to go all the way to Lagos instead of using closeby ports. It wasn't the FG that chased importers to Lagos.

A businessman takes his business to a place where he hopes to make more money; he doesn't site his business in a location to please anyone at the expense of his profits. That is the reason why you have Igbo businessmen for example in every corner of Nigeria doing their thing. Capt. Iheanacho is presently making moves to site his planned refinery in Lagos. As foolish as this may seem for most people, the fact remains that it is his sole prerogative. The man is not a fool, he simply cares more about his profits than he cares about trying to develop the SE or please anyone - he's simply a businessman.

You just asked whether the Badagry port is more viable than constructing ports close to the SE; are you aware the proposed port is a state government initiative?.... Does it make any rational sense to you suggesting that Ambode should build a seaport in the SS or SE?... Like I keep saying, contrary to your claim of not being sentimental, if sentiments aren't obscuring your objectivity, this issue should be a commonsensical matter...

And finally, you asked me whether I'm being paid or whether I am Yoruba, sorry I'm not being paid by anyone and I'm not Yoruba. At a time last year there was some mention of a deep sea port in Cross River so what happened ? Militancy or the prospect of it, or the fact that it will take a lot of internally generated revenue away from Lagos.

Just the way Cross Rivers state government did a ground breaking for the construction of a deep sea port, Akwa-Ibom state government has also done same in the recent past. Similarly, Lagos state government is about to commence the Badagry port, and I think, the Lekki seaport; these projects are all between state governments and private individuals. So for the love of God, why or how is this supposed to be marginalisation?... Or is it just that the cry of marginalisation and victim mentality is so sweet that we cannot separate ourselves from this cry 56 years after independence even when it is baseless?.... Traders are crying about the high cost of customs clearance leaving them no choice but to increase the price of their wares. Honestly it makes no economic sense that a country as big as Nigeria have all their active seaports located in one small state, for God sake these are the things that these so called elected Rep members and senators should be discussing in their respective meetings rather than just looking to line their own pockets and padding budgets.

First of all, are you aware the recently approved Badagry seaport is a state government initiative?

Not long ago, the FEC also approved the building of a seaport at Calabar, courtesy of the visionary Cross Rivers state government. The Ibaka deep seaport is also pending and that is another state government initiative. If the respective state governments are unable to see these projects to completion, and Lagos state eventually builds its, how is this supposed to be marginalisation? ... Or is Ambode supposed to come build a seaport in Delta or Rivers or Bayelsa states?

Now we already have seaports in these states but investors and importers have continually boycotted the use of the ND ports for one simple reason; insecurity. If youths in an area keep misdirecting their anger and supporting pirates and other criminals, how on earth will investors come to these areas?....

The other day some misguided youths stormed shoprite in warri, vandalised and looted the place. And with such occurrences being a norm, some people still think FG marginalisation or maybe the west or north are behind the exodus of investors from the ND. Even investors of ND origin are setting up investments in Lagos, the reason is not far fetched but strangely, a lot of minds have been dubiously fed with hogwash about the real reasons the ports in the ND are dead.

Even when someone is deceived for long, cant the person for once just snap out of the cycle of deceit and look beyond their nose?

As at yesterday when I logged into Azimo, everything still seemed to be fine, but since this morning, they just put up a message saying there is a 'Temporary' suspension of bank transfers to Nigeria. “For the avoidance of doubt, all licensed International Money Transfer Operators, are required to remit foreign currency to their respective agent banks in Nigeria for disbursement in naira to the beneficiaries.

“The foreign currency proceeds are to be sold to Bureaux De Change operators, for onward retail to end users. The Central Bank of Nigeria will therefore not condone any attempt aimed at undermining the country’s foreign exchange regime. He advised the public to beware of the activities of such unregistered IMTOs to avoid being defrauded.

To correct your bolded point above, Aisha Buhari is simply not the same person being wanted in the US. The Aisha Buhari wanted in the US is an impostor who probably adopted the name of an African ex-leader to garnish her 419 scams, this is a very common trick used by scammers; as part of her testimony, she even claimed she was the daughter of an African leader. Though some black market operatives restrict the amount you send periodically, but there are many of them and they are very reliable. They have shops all over the US and their businesses are registered in the US and you must follow the basic rules of money transfer as established in the US, e.g income verification, IDs, etc. They are only called 'black market' because they are not recognized by the Nigeria government, despite the fact that, most of them are bankrolled by influential money bags in Nigeria who makes day to day decisions in Nigeria.

Western Union, Moneygram and worldremit have since updated their rates to even match the smaller competitive vendors. Also it appears this restriction will only affect the bigger guys like worldremit who are not officially registered in Nigeria. Smaller operators who offer the best rates dont seem to be affected by this law; those smaller guys are invisible.
