TANTUMERGO007:Wise decision, cos if you had tried to say anything else, you for fall your hand further. ![]() |
WinningSun:I think you missed the point, nobody said Dangote built a 1000mw power plant, the report doesn't say the capacity of the plant. The Op only said the power plant at the refinery cost much less than what it typically cost the government to build a power plant; i.e. $400,000/mw as against almost $2,000,000/mw. And based on this pricing scale, we were only making a comparison of what a 1000mw plant should cost. |
TANTUMERGO007:Meaning?... go back and read what I wrote again, this time do it slowly, and maybe you will comprehend. |
GasAndOilTheory: TANTUMERGO007: pedrilo:April 2015, under the 'transformation' train, Diamond bank sacked over 1000 workers. Excerpts of the report below: Mass Sack At Diamond Bankhttp://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2015/04/14/mass-sack-at-diamond-bank/ I'm sure up to half of those 1000 workers sacked in the first week of April last year voted for TRANSFORMATION. If I must reason like a mumu, then I would say they totally deserved the instant transformation to joblessness. But fortunately, I'm not a mumu like so many on this forum, so I will simply wish the affected staff the best, wish for an end to the economic downturn in the country which started since mid-2014, and call on the government and labour unions to seriously look into the case of their severance packages. |
Someone would soon jump in here to complain... ![]() |
How has having bad roads now translated into slavery?... Meanwhile is there really any part of southern nigeria or even the middle-belt which has good roads? Anyway, the slavery is only a mental condition; on this note, only a person who sees himself/herself as a slave is one. |
Haters can hate as they like, but this man is a brainiac and a natural achiever. I hope the politics being played by the cabals wouldn't strip him of his influence in the petroleum sector. |
This is a big one. Now INNOSON has competition right under his nose. Forward ever! |
Mboi2:Bla bla bla bla bla, just like the sounds of a broken record from a pained loser; apparently since the main reason your hero was booted out of office was corruption, you and your ilk have been all about, desperately trying to prove that buhari is also as corrupt. But that's a no brainer, such shallow assertions only end within your petty circles; the world (both Nigeria and beyond) knows better. As for Buratai, I am sorry to dissappoint you, but if you were expecting me to jump in and start defending corruption, you are totally wasting your time. My personal value system does not give room for me to run around like a headless chicken, looking for the next corrupt person or corruption case to defend like most people fondly do due to some stinking tribal, ethnic, regional or political sentiments. I wasnt raised that way by my parents. Thanks |
WinningSun:World average is $1bn for 1000mw, we all know the peculiarities of NIgeria (corruption aside). But the Op has just said Dangote's plant cost $400million for 1000mw. |
lopzy:How are you so sure he didnt pay at all before going broke eventually? |
suasmablow:A businessman takes a loan to expand his business, unfortunately, due to extenuating circumstances, he is unable to meet up with its repayment and has his buainesses and properties taken over. What is 'dirty' and what is the corruption about that? |
Another underemployed peckham bouncer displaying talents. |
14. Dangote is producing its own electricity to power the plant and by so doing is saving 75% costs. Dangote produces electricity at a rate that is significantly cheaper than the Federal Government. Dangote’s cost is $400,000/MW, while Federal Government is $2,000,000/MW.The bolded is a very important point which I am interested in. Can this really be confirmed?... IF this is true, then my personal apologies to Ipob, Nigeria is a real jungle (worse than a domestic zoo). Also if this is true, then giving Nigerians steady power shouldn't be rocket science after all. On the main topic, if most of the things written here are true, then Dangote would single handedly become Nigeria's saviour even without joining politics. An appeal to all aggrieved parties across Nigeria to kindly sheathe their swords and support this singular project cos it will totally change the economy of the entire Nigeria irrespective of tribe, ethnicity, zone or religion; this singular project will favour us all and shouldnt be tribalised or ethnicised. @Op, can you kindly put a source to this info? |
nortcentrallord:Falana just told you that he never made such a statement, but here you are, asking "on what grounds Ekiti should be declared state of emergency" and then you proceed to insult Falana for making a statement which he just told you he never made. Obviously some kids online just prefer throwing insults to their fathers instead of using their God given brains. nortcentrallord:Lol... Sorry my brother, you are simply an emotionally wreckage so I wouldn't expect your reasoning or judgement to be sound. A silly unknown blog comes up with some bogus falsehood, the person lied against quickly comes up and clarifies that he never said any such thing. But then you jump-in in your infinite wisdom, chose to believe the falsehood (because it obviously favours your narrative and you prefer the insults), and then you proceed to abuse Falana of lacking common sense for making a statement which he has just clarified that he never made. And here you are, talking to me about common sense or political party or whatever? I think you direly need that common sense and deliverance more than anyone else here, thanks. |
Any ediotu in Nigeria just opens a free website and starts churning out trash from his imagination, and Nigerians will never learn; we just swallow any nonsense we hear from any blog and start commenting on it passionately as if it were real news. And then because we love to criticise and insult, even after it is confirmed that the story is fake, we still just cant let go of the insults and silly comments. |
nortcentrallord:I think God needs to help you with some sense first because you obviously did not even read or comprehend the title of the report, let alone the contents of the report, before you proceded to drop this response. Na wa for our educational system in this country. |
In a political season where every iddiot opens a blog and starts generating false news, people being lied against have no option than to make rebuttals like this from time to time time. |
9japride:Learn to read... when you were sent to school to learn to read, you were busy climbing trees in search of ripe mango ![]() *copied* |
How I wish Ajaokuta steel and Delta steel can actually be brought to life. We've heard too many back and forth stories over these projects, it becomes difficult to be hopefull about them these days. |
Beautiful trains.... they should launch this already... it has taken forever. |

Spybradd:But a person who is truly intelligent should be civil enough to speak intelligently without using abusive words. |
I wonder what would have happened if Baru was appointed the Chairman of the NNPC board above Kachikwu the GMD. ![]() |
MrTruth4real:They said fashola said gej built 25,000km of roads, probably on the moon though, cos none of these roads can be found in the SS or SE or even SW. But even if they cant name the roads, they still hold on to the mumu claim that their lord and saviour built highest number of roads on the moon. ![]() |
anonimi:At least that ebola owu was able to fix a road all the way from Asaba to benin, he created the wonderful 25km long benin bypass from scratch to cut the hell of traffic in benin, and he continued that road up till okada before he handed over. Meanwhile your lord and saviour only patched less than 10km close to Ore and spent the equivalent amount of money hiring canopies and praise singers to commision and celebrate the patching of 10km. |
Why is the source of this story not Saharareporters? |
DonCortino:Speechless on the chad navy thing. ![]() |
Vanguardnigeria.org A counterfeit blog owned by one slowpoke whose only calling is to generate and spread the most stupid propaganda to deceive gullible / unsuspecting people. |
Lawd av merci!... I thought there was supposed to be a recession?... Nigerians have to be the most resilient humans on earth; we can adjust to anything. |
DonCortino:Did you say a similar institute is being proposed in the Chad basin?... I've never heard of that, and I wouldn't be too surprised if it is one of the devilish lies and propaganda which dissidents are dubiously spreading to gullible listeners around the SS in order to elicit anger and hatred. Kindly prove me wrong by showing me any link (even if it's from a fake blog) which carries this story of a proposed chad basin maritime institute? About people being happy that the maritime institute is cancelled, that is nonsense and it is untrue! that only happens in the politically driven inter-tribal wars here on Nairaland, and it is done purely to tease as part of the unending shameless inter-ethnic, inter-tribal wars by kids and adults with kid brains on this site. Nobody is genuinely happy that a university project is being cancelled in any part of Nigeria, except it would lead to the university being moved to their place. I don't even see the people of Akwa-Ibom being happy over the cancellation, even though the plan is to upgrade the Oron institute instead. Quit this unnecessary mind damaging paranoia. |
