Bassee:25,000km of motorable roads and Nigerians still dey complain. Abeg where are these roads?... the moon? SMH! |
mightyhazel:What does this your question have to do with what I asked?.... And I wasn't even asking you. ...Btw, the SE has oil but it's insignificant compared to the oil we are referring to here. I also find it quite strange seeing this latest trend of some people supposedly from the SE laying claim to SS oil and even using the 'our oil' statement more than the SS people. Na so the mkpari dey start. |
No wonder they desperately started blowing up gas pipelines today. ![]() |
Lol... Fee-Dee-Fee! ![]() |
ProfessorPeter:The point I was making was in reference to some twerps who have been ecstatic over this news all day because they believe Buhari is being punished. The question is, will Buhari or his ministers suffer the total blackout? NO.... Will Buhari and his cabinet suffer the heat? NO... will they stand on queues for days to buy fuel at N250/litre? NO... When the economy of the nation is run aground, would it in anyway affect the elite that make up Buhari's government? NO. In fact the already rich elite would receive juicy contracts to repair the damaged pipelines, and the rich will keep getting richer. Yet the people who suffer these with their families are rejoicing. And someone tells me the black man really has brains? |
They should keep bombing... I think this is just a case of some criminal splinter group being angry that while they slept, the Tompolos and Boyloafs and Asaris of this world were handsomely rewarded after engaging in gra gra. |
GWMI:Appointments is absolute rubbish to any discerning mind with a sense of Nigerian history, after all with all the appointments made by GEJ to the SE (mainly) and the SS, how did that translate into any meaningful development in these regions?.... Instead after GEJ lost the elections, some dude wakes up from London and incites the people that it is the hausa-fulani and yoruba who are responsible for the lack of development even while you still hail and prefer appointments over tangible projects. So I ask with a sense of history, apart from the individual appointees who get to fill their pockets, who appointment don hep?... Which region wey appointment don hep?... For Christ sake I am talking of developmental projects here and not some flimsy appointments. |
wowmenow:On the contrary, the sharp division we have today along ethnic and tribal lines was nurtured the very day GEJ and PDP goons decided to start appealing to tribal sentiments as a tool for politics. |
GWMI:Sorry you are the one whose judgement is impaired by tribal/ethnic sentiments, I am the last human on earth to have any tribal or clannish agenda taint my sense of objectivity. I asked a simple question, kindly tell us how Buhari is marginalising the SS more than Jonathan?.... and please dont tell me about any silly appointments which helps nobody but the pocket of the appointees themselves; I'm talking of tangible developmental projects, how is Buhari more of a villain to the SS than Jonathan? |
Pedrop:Make no mistakes, when I say ipob, I mean the ones of Igbo extraction. And yeah, I see no correlation with your rants and what I said earlier. ... And again, I dont have to think like the crowd to prove anything to anybody. |
EasternLeopard:I thought you were from the SE? |
GWMI:Don't deceive yourself, Buhari only signed his first budget today. And I am yet to see any evidence that says Buhari will marginalise the ND more than a Niger-Deltan Jonathan did. |
wowmenow:I am still yet to see how Buhari is the victim in this. In fact, let them blow up all the pipelines and installations and refineries and power plants, even in 20 years of famine, I'm still yet to see how Buhari can be a victim here. |
sunnyb0b0:Oh Buhari caused it, but who suffers it?... Will Buhari suffer it?... Will his ministers suffer it?... Will Tinubu and co suffer it?... It is normal Nigerians like you and I that would be crippled by this. Power supply back to zero, fuel supply back to zero; the only effect is that people will curse and curse and curse Buhari. But for once, have you ever seen Buhari feel bad about those curses?.... Does he even have a connection with the people he governs?... This is a classically foolish case of cutting your nose to spite your face because the president doesn't even seem to care, and he's got 3 more years (if not 7) to go. I wonder for how long some people looking for payouts will continue to suffer themselves, their relatives and the rest of ordinary Nigerians because they think they are 'doing' Buhari. |
sunnyb0b0:I never for once said it was impossible, Nigeria has no security apparatus. But that doesn't mean it is foolishness; even more foolish are the ordinary Nigerians glorifying acts of sabotage because they foolishly think they are 'doing' Buhari. |
ITkester:This ipob delusion of always forcefully attaching SE to SS keeps getting ridiculously amazing by the day. i don't know the village forest some of these ipob people come from. Point of correction, it is the SS that feeds the nation presently, not the SE. The SE is presently a parasite to SS resources just like every other zone of the country. |
....The only tragedy here is that some imbeciles actually celebrate this news. They believe they are punishing Buhari, meanwhile they are the ones whose families stand on fuel queues for days to buy fuel for N250/litre. #Iberiberism |
Just like I reminded someone yesterday, no matter how bad things get in this country, the pestilence would never ever get any where close to Buhari or his family. Even if he gets the worst leadership ratings in human history, not a single hair on his body would be touched, he wouldnt feel a single discomfort and he would still enjoy a cult following from his teeming supporters, especially from the north. So at the end of the day, to those sabotaging national infrastructure and to those praising the people carrying out this sabotage because they think they are punishing Buhari, it wouldnt be too difficult to figure out who the real fools are. ProfessorPeter:The message above is obviously for someone like you. No foolishness could exceed the foolishness of thinking that crippling Nigeria's economy would bring Buhari to his knees. The man is an old man who has lived out his life. No matter how bad things get in the nation, neither Buhari nor any member of his family would be affected and he can never be brought to his knees. On the contrary, it is the saboteurs, their families, the supporters of the saboteurs (like yourself) and their families and the general mass of ordinary Nigerians that would be brought to their knees. This common sense is certainly not common. |
Chrixtopha:It doesn't take more than common sense for an adult to know that when you cut out the root of a tree, the leaves which would still appear fresh at the onset, would begin to wither after a couple of days. Nigeria's booming economy under GEJ was simply a function of high oil prices and this was proven by the instant crash of the economy as soon as oil prices began to decline. When we complained of the monumental and disastrous level of corruption and pillagery prevailing at the time, most of you sentimentally blinded followers argued that corruption and stealing wasn't Nigeria's problem because despite the corruption, almost all economic indices still showed positive. At the time, every idiott close to Abuja was buying a private jet, even the ex-president himself boasted then at a conference in Kenya that he was doing well with the economy as evidenced in the explosion in number of private planes; unfortunately, daft supporters cheered him on and insulted anyone who thought otherwise. Fast-forward to the third quarter of 2014, oil prices began to decline, and just like the popular saying about the a*s of a fowl being exposed by the wind, the true state of Nigeria's economy began to show. The following happened within the last 7 months of GEJ: (1) There were two devaluations of the Naira and its value fell from N166/167 to ~N220 to $1 at the parallel market; meanwhile oil still sold at about $65/barrel as at May 2015. http://abokifx.com/previous-rates-2/ (2) The nation's foreign reserves nosedived from ~$38.5bn to $28.7billion, that's a drop of about $10billion in 7 months. Meanwhile oil still sold at about $65/barrel as at May 2015. I really don't want to imagine what would have been our fate if GEJ wasn't removed when he was removed. http://www.cenbank.org/intops/Reserve.asp (3) Nigeria's GDP growth rate which was maintained at an average of 6-7% began a steep nosedive and closed out at 2.35% as at the 2nd quarter 2015 when GEJ handed over. Contrary to your bolded ignorant claims above, Nigeria fell far off the fastest growing economy chart under GEJ. http://www.tradingeconomics.com/nigeria/gdp-growth-annual (4) Due to a severe cash crunch occasioned by fall in oil prices, the Nigerian government had to borrow about $2.4billion dollars early in 2015 to pay salaries. The FG could not also pay accumulated arrears of fuel subsidy since August 2014 to petroleum importers (leading to the worst ever crippling fuel scarcity circa May 2015). http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/05/nigeria-borrows-to-pay-salaries-with-cash-crunch-worsening/ Note that all of the above happened at a time when oil still sold above $65/barrel That you are ignorant of a situation does not change it from being what it is; you are obviously ignorant of the 4 situations I painted above. To the simple mind of the common uneducated artisan on the streets, Buhari has to be responsible for all these woes because "when GEJ ruled, things were okay." It is unfortunate though that supposedly educated folks in Nigeria now do not reason better than the common street urchins. Now you ignorantly claim I support evil?... if endorsing the removal of failure of a leader like GEJ is what you term evil, then Hell Yeah! I am very happy and proud to support evil. cc: dadexcel |
itsdumebi:Gbam!... Very strong words there. |
...And once again, the wound of the jonathanians is re-opened ![]() |
Absolutely!... With the lightening speed downward acceleration which the country's economy experienced in the last 6-8months of Jonathan, I wouldn't even want to imagine what would have happened had Jonathan won that election. Glory be to God for his mercies on Nigeria! |
mankand:Apparently, it was previously russian before the soviet split. |
Please they should come take the company for free. As long as they can get it working, it will benefit Nigeria immensely. |
emmasege:Another rudderless rantings from another pained jonathanian who is yet to overcome the trauma of election loss. Its been over a year bro, get yourself together. After your lords ran down the nation, you handed over a carcass and are expecting a miracle even when revenues have significantly dwindled, nonsense reasoning! Meanwhile to deflate your ignorance, more pdp states received bailouts than apc controlled states. |
realborn: ![]() Take am easy bro... That's an ex president you talking about. |
Is this the same issue of yesterday or is this a different case?.... Yesterday it was reported that an hausa man stabbed an igbo trader to death following a fracas and this led to a reprisals. Now the story says soldiers? |
vicdom:The honest truth is that we started being so maliciously divided along ethnic, tribal and religious lines under the last admin; it is typically what you get when leaders lose ideas on how to play politics and then decide to play the ethnic/tribal/religious card. It will only keep getting worse until such a time that we have a really wise Solomon piloting the affairs of the nation. |
But he did it with weapons bought by GEJ ![]() **runs away to take cover** |
Splinz:Okay the government is a colossal failure, happy now? |
MirabelArode:You aren't from a poor family a d that's fair enough, but when there is turmoil in the land with people starving and dying all around you, I would love to see how you can enjoy that your family wealth in peace. Besides, I'm sure you have friends and relatives who would be affected and who could even oit of desparation, sqeeze out the wealth from your rich family by force. |

GEJ's case can be likened to a man who bought the most expensive condom but ended up digging through the v-core of a confirmed infected notorious sex hawker with his bare rod.
