AntiWailer:Who destiny don help? ![]() |
These bleedy wailers will just keep tormenting themselves like this for eternity. Wonderful! |
alcmene:Keep deceiving yourself with your fallacious theories about Jonathan ignoring kanu. The only reason Kanu wasnt arrested by Jonathan was because he was absolutely irrelevant and unknown. Jonathan wasn't even aware of his existence and 95% of his followers today (including yourself) never heard of him. At that time, we only knew of massob and while massob was largely disregarded by even the Igbo populace (including yourself), security forces under Jonatham was in the business of arresting and incarcerating and even executing massob members. But you didnt care because it was Jonathn. Kanu only started becoming relevant and popular only when Jonathan lost the election and this was purely because Jonathan lost the election and Igbos were angry. As his relevance grew, his followers multiplied in geometric proportions, his nuisance grew, and that necessitated the govt paying attention to him. So cut that crap about GEJ being intelligent and ignoring him, even while we know massob members were being arrested. No leader of a country would sit quietly and tolerate the nuisance of Kanu and his boys, not even Jona. GEJ never heard of Kanu! |
tankara1010:You must be one of the very many dull people out there who are incapable of using your God given brains to think, but rather have allowed yourself to be bound in mental slavery. Today the reason why most shippers prefer the Lagos ports and run away from the southern seaports is because of security challenges, pirates, militants etc. The largest importers today in Nigeria are Igbos and they would rather use the Lagos ports for its relative security and peace of mind they derive. Security is the single biggest issue which killed the ports in the SS. Now the Navy has been sent in to the Niger-Delta creeks to maintain security, you foolishly oppose this move and would prefer that criminal militants and pirates are allowed to operate freely, but you turn around to complain that the seaports in the SS are being allowed to die. You are indeed very unintelligent and confused and it is because people like you are in great numbers, that is what actually drags down the development of the potentially viable SS and SE. |
tankara1010:Take this your gutter 'victim mentality' and 'persecution complex' reasoning to the trash, N100billion is a lot of money. The report says someone has a major debt issue and all you can think of is marginalisation? Is he the first person to have his assets frozen due to loan defaulting? Should he be above the law because he is from a particular section of the country?... Tufiakwa for the resoning of an average Igbo youth (especially since GEJ days). |
theshadyexpress:20-20-20, 7-point agenda, transformation agenda, Change agenda, etc are all bullocks. Beautiful names are all crap especially when we know every government still copies the former ans adds a little modifications. The present govt claims its policy is focused on 3 areas namely; Security, Corruption and the Economy. You can call it a 3 point agenda if you like (in line with what previous administrations always did. But this govt hasnt decided to give it any particular beautiful name. If you need an idea of the economic policy, the 2016 'budget of change' is where you should look. In terms of the economy, the following 33 policy action plans answers your question. http://www.channelstv.com/2016/04/07/osinbajo-rolls-33-policy-actions-revamp-economy/ A simple summary of the policy is also shown below. tuale4u:But all in all, while you keep shouting policy! Policy! May you be reminded that a lack of policy has never and will never be the bane of Nigeria's economic growth. Rather, the political will, competence and hardwork to implement and see these policies through. |
LadyExcellency:Like I rightly said in my earlier post, "Capacity (potential energy) is useless except it is converted to something useful." 12,000mw capacity is useless if the consumers end up getting only a very erratic supply floating between 2000mw to 5000mw. I still dont understand the statistics which you mentioned about GEJ reducing poverty by half though. I dont even believe the NBS said that. |
theshadyexpress:Now let us assume APC governed the 36 states of the federation as these desperate characters want us to believe, there are still 2 questions which have been begging for answers: 1. If governors were the problem and the culprits, were there no governors during OBJ's tenure?... if so, how was OBJ and Yaradua able to save? 2. Let's assume the supreme court forced the hands of GEJ to share the money (wasnt the case cos no judgement was given), so if you claim GEJ had the will to save, why didnt he save the 52% of the funds left with the FG? |
tuale4u:Educating the naysayers is mostly a waste of time cos they derive their pleasure mainly from naysaying. Dubious foreign exploiters want Nigeria to devalue its currency massively so they can make killer profits. Refusal to do this has led these foreign exploiters to pull out their funds from the Nigerian economy in order to arm twist, punish and frustrate the FG into devaluation; they keep using the 'sweet coated' excuse of 'lack of economic policy direction' to deceive the gullible. But the fact remains that the only economic policy these exploiters want to see is a devalued Naira, hence the continuous singing that the govt has 'no economic policy.' "Economic Policy = Devaluation" |
LadyExcellency:12,000mw... Wonderful!.. Capacity (potential energy) is useless except it is converted to something useful. Poverty reduced by half under Jona.... I remember OBJ/NOI also bragging about how they had eradicated poverty in Nigeria. Now Jona later eradicated half. ![]() |
masterblogger:A very very lame attempt at exonerating GEJ. Accusing APC governors of being responsible for GEJ being unable to save has to be the lamest attempt at exonerating GEJ and playing a blame game. If as commander-in-chief, APC governors can tell or control GEJ to squander Nigeria's savings, the this speaks volumes of the unsuitability and incompetence of GEJ as a leader; this allegation even further indicts Jonathan. Now to deflate this folly of an excuse, as at the time in question, there were far more (over 22) PDP governors and all governors manipulated GEJ and retrieved their states' share of the funds. How this automatically becomes 'APC' governors is mind boggling and plain stupidd. Secondly, the reason why pressure was mounted on GEJ to release the money is because GEJ was illegally dipping his hands into the collective funds without informing the governors. So the governors simply lost confidence in GEJ for holding their money, hence they requested it be given to them. Thirdly, the money in question was over $20billion. The national sharing formula gives about 52% of these funds to the FG. So if the states decided to pull off their 48%, can some of you desperate PDP smart-asses kindly explain to us if APC governors also used some form of juju to charm GEJ into squandering the over $10billion which was the FG's share? Finally and in conclusion, NOI was spot on with her statement, it was in black and white, it was something we all knew and it doesnt take more than basic elementary education to discern this. When this same ECA pot was introduced under OBJ, the governors fought and fought OBJ and even took him to court for being a dictator. Similarly, the governors also fought and fought Yaradua and also took him to court to break the pot and share the money, but OBJ and Yaradua wouldnt budge because they had the political will to save and they understood what it meant to stand-your-ground as a leader in a chaotic country like Nigeria. GEJ eventually gets in and shares the money (only 48% gone) and he then proceeds to squander the remaining 52% on God knows what. And today, some desperate jobbers are trying to tell us it was APC governors who jazzed GEJ. Ekpas! |
chudionu58:I'm sorry I dont know about that. What about the other questions I asked? |
Lord av merci! So all this is even possible and this state has always had governors since the past 16 years? |
chudionu58:Nwanna, your paranoia would soon kill you. Quit being paranoid ![]() I only asked why the contractors would receive money since 2013 (or mobilisation in 2014 as you claim) but wouldn't proceed to site since then, but only remembered miraculously that they have a job to do in 2016. That was all I asked, I queried the laxity of the contractors but as usual, you instantly jumped into defence of your oga even without basis. Or going by your explanations, could it be that after mobilisation was supposedly released in 2014, the funds were then mopped-up by the government in 2015 due to very drastic slump in crude oil prices and the project abandoned? By the way, below are links to reports where Kwarans requested this road to be included in the 2016 budget and the last link highlights Fashola the Works' minister promising to fix this very Ilorin to Jebba road in 2016. So what really is the link between this and your arguments so far and what has GEJ got to do with this? Thanks https://www.today.ng/news/national/81020/fg-to-fix-ilorin-jebba-highway-soon-fashola http://leadership.ng/news/483687/kwara-niger-legislatures-seek-inclusion-ilorin-jebba-highway-project-2016-budget http://www.authorityngr.com/2015/12/FG-urged-to-include-Ilorin--Jebba-Road-in-2016-Budget/ |
luvinhubby:I feel sorry for you Jonathanians who keep nagging, nagging and nagging like a 1st wife totally deprived of attention and affection. Nobody is battling for glory/praise for road project with you, "if you want the glory/praise for the job done, come and take it." After all most of the projects GEJ even did were done with moneys saved by OBJ and Yaradua, but it would be very silly and childish to argue on that line that it was OBJ/Yaradua's projects. Meanwhile just before you started your nag, I was only asking a pertinent questions as to why a project which was 'supposedly' budgeted for since 2013 was never executed by the contractors even though money was 'supposedly' released for it. On a different note, here is a link to a report were the minister of works is promising that attention would be given to this road and work would be done on it. But then again, if you like you are free to claim it is GEJ or even Abacha that employed Fashola; when the road is eventually fixed, "if you want the glory/praise given to GEj, come and take it." https://www.today.ng/news/national/81020/fg-to-fix-ilorin-jebba-highway-soon-fashola |
Nigeria na wa!... Instead of pole to carry the cables, the cables are carrying the pole ![]() |
chudionu58:Was the money released?.... Why has the construction not begun since 2013 when the approval was given?... Nigerian contractors na wa! |
chiefobdk:You must be a slow brain to think everything has to be a tribal statement. What a wasted generation! Anuohia! |
Dmillionaire:Lol.. Have you ever seen or heard of Buhari responding or giving even a tiny fck about the existence of a man called Fayose?.... The rate at which the man is ignored, he would soon begin to doubt his own existence. So you guys should keep up encouraging the man abeg, b4 he commits suicide ontop Buhari matter. ![]() |
robosky02:At the end of the day, the whole outcry about rejecting APC 'because it is a northern party' is just hyper-myopia at work. How can you hate and reject the north so much to the point of supporting a northern candidate to remove another northern candidate, and then the northern candidate that goes in there, stays there for a further 8 years?... In other words, you hate the north so much that you have to perpetuate the north for the next 12 years to remove the north; a classic case of 'Iberiberism' if you ask me. ![]() The fact is that to get to the top, you must need the support of major allies; so when you reject every major ally on the grounds of some irrational ethnic bigotry and hate, this irrational hatred always comes back to mock you. Now the regional SE/SS PDP plans to field a northern candidate. I just dey laugh! ![]() |
How can a MAN be having BEEF with a WOMAN? Some people dey fckup sha! |
It's all about the north. I thought the PDPians and Jonathanians claimed APC is a northern party? |
healthable:Yes I am... There are 2 evils in Nigeria, and I support the lesser evil, and we won! ![]() |
I think they should really stop announcing these things cos some humans are actually pained by such stories and may quickly go and sabotage some supply pipelines or other facilities. |
joey150:I think that dude should be best ignored. Some of these guys actually 'act' like nincompoops just for fun to garner likes. But it appears the idiocy they usually feign is now stuck on them. |
Hmmm, a very good development. Air peace though, hopefully they would upgrade their planes. Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one who thinks air peace planes have a very wack painting job?... Planes look like they were painted with poster colour or oil paint by a roadside artist. ![]() |
Aromas:I'm sure you must have heard the popular saying, "a stitch in time saves nine"? |
dukie25:When you save, you should save your own money, not the money of your neighbours. But that notwithstanding, 36 governors (not Amaechi/Fashola) demanded for their own share of the savings because GEJ kept on dipping his hands illegally into the collective pot. After all, were there no governors during OBJ's time?... Were there no governors under Yaradua?... in fact it was the same set of governors that served under GEJ and Yaradua. But even with governors pulling out their share, the FG still owned 52% of the funds. So kindly tell us what happened to this 52%? |
scorpio2013:Both routes service 2 different sets of people. Imagine the traffic between Benin and Lagos alone and you will understand which route is more economically viable. |
tbaba1234:This explains it all. OBJ was pressured and taken to court by governors to share this money, Yaradua was also pressured to release this money. But the first thing GEJ did was to dip his hands into the funds illegally and at that point, he lost the moral right to prevent the governors from accessing the funds, so he shared the yams; GEJ never had any political will to save. I pity Buhari, cos he takes all the heat today for indiscretions of yesterday. Madam Okonjo has just vindicated herself by saying a simple truth which every discerning mind knows. But wailers would be too pained to acknowledge this simple fact. GEJ's inability to assert authority, his economic cluelessness, his nonchalant attitude to graft and his bizarre proliferation of yam sharing ideologies is the reason why Nigeria couldn't save a dime under his reign. A man who unanimously depleted what he met even though he enjoyed the greatest revenue. NOI messed up herself and her reputation for accepting to work under such an administration. Now no matter how hard she tries to wipe the dirt, the stench still stays with her. I kept asking, is it not this same NOI who saved greatly and did wonders under OBJ, how come she performed in the absolute opposite direction under GEJ?... The answer to this lies in the type of boss she had. |
16 years of the locusts (PDP), Nigeria spending roughly $7.2 billion per year on fuel imports, this is in addition to the trillions lost due to dubious marketers diverting subsidy funds. A 'very' rough estimate for the 16 locust years of PDP, $115.2 billion spent in 16 years in importing fuel; just a quarter of that amount would have built enough refineries for Nigeria to be a net exporter of refined products today. And someone asks why we booted the locusts out?.... And someone (a PDP supporter) dares to blame Buhari for this? #Iberiberism |
TheArchangel:My dear, silver nor gold nor job links, I have none. But all I can do is to wish you good luck and also tell you that it will not be long before you get the right job which you could never dream about. ![]() |
