HomesOfLife:The top picture looks more like UNIBEN to me. ![]() |
NavierStokes:Lol... I didnt expect the new government to start perfectly well, APC is a party formed just 3 years ago and they still obviously haven't got themselves together especially now that they occupy the presidency. Unfortunately, it would take some time before they get their act together. Also, you will not agree with me but I've always had a strong believe that when you 'reduce' corruption (I didn't say 'eliminate' cos that's not possible), a lot of things could be achieved. With the present 'gra-gra' against corruption, you would agree with me that the present crop of leaders we have are now more wary of indiscriminately pocketing public funds. That is the first step at 'reducing' corruption. It's just too sad that the calamitous oil price is dancing reggae on top Buhari's destiny. I am quite confident the present admin would make some 'positive' impact and I pray oil prices return to a reasonable amount cos that would mean much greater impact than all other past administrations. |
NavierStokes:Bla bla bla... those are mere campaign bullshit talk which all politicians try to outdo themselves with during elections. Even after its continuous failire for 16 years, pdp still made similar fictitious promises. But the fact is that apc still has over 3 years to redeem itself. |
Degis:Kindly list the achievements of OBJ in his first 10 months besides changing senate presidents and speakers countless times? Also kindly name the achievements of gej in his first 10 months besides breaking the pot and sharing/squandering $20billion ECA funds? For any reasonable government, substantial time is spent planning and you can not do that properly when you are out of office since you do not know the true details of the rot. Most of the problems we face today, whether you agree or not are standard teething problems for a new administration but the issues have been exacerbated by the calamitous drop in revenue and the fact that the predecessor deliberately handed over a mess. |
After 16 years of pdp, Apc asked pdp this question. But pdp now wants to throw the question back only after 10 months of apc (even when apc still has more than 3 years to redeem itself)? Pdp could not fix our rotten power sector in 16 years, but now they expect apc to miraculously fix the heap of poo they left behind in 10 months? This is a pure case of buffoonery! |
Nigeria importing CRUDE OIL?... All these blogs sef! ![]() |
All the people destroying Imo state all gathered in one room. I can see the biggest one called Iwuanyanwu. |
koboko69:The result of this poll is evil; 403 likes vs 13 shares as at 11:57. The weeping zombs are sure avoiding this thread like a plague. |
charix:I taya oo! I couldn't find anywhere within the report where it says meter will increase power supply. The rate of misinformation and deliberate twisting of stories these days by our media men is amazing. |
londoner:I think the person who posted this report on the frontpage or the person who titled the report is the one that needs to answer this question. Cos nowhere within the report did it say that meters will improve power supply. |
Hmmm, not just salaries. |
christinie:Sorry I'm not in your wretched class. Try again! |
Hmm... action film don start! ![]() But in a serious note, the hatred in this Nigeria is now too much, I give up. I really cant understand why the north has so much hatred for the SE. By all fair judgement, the hatred should be the other way around. Developed nations are looking for ways to merge together and be stronger; undeveloped nations are looking for how to split into a million pieces. Which way Nigeria? ![]() |
christinie:Just like somepne mentioned, the thought of losing the last election still makes your heart bleed. But it is your personal decision to lift yourself out of the emotional trauma and misery. But if you want to dwell in it, so be it. The twin issues of banning rice imports and acquiring of improved grass seeds are commonsensical issues which do not need undue politicising. You may not be selling your country but you have obviously sold your ability for critical reasoning on the platter of emotional politics. The ban on importation of rice 'through land borders' is a very good policy. Whether you hate it or love it, whether you hate the policy makers or love them, that is your cold cup of kunu. But it doesnt change the fact that it is a progressive policy which would boost local production and enhance revenue generation for customs. Similarly, the importation of special improved grass seedlings for planting in cattle reserves in Nigeria is a good plan. Just the same way Nigeria imported improved flood resistance rice seedlings some years ago and today we're enjoying a rice revolution with our rice production increasing by the day. Once again, it doesnt matter whether you like it or hate it, it remains a good plan to boost our agriculture. |
Shortyy:Sorry most arent pdp, they are apga. |
Stanleychimezie opens a thread, posts a looong write-up, and the source of this write-up happens to be his personal blog, mezietimes. ![]() |
christinie:Whatever rocks your boat dear! Like I always say, it's hardly possible to wake someone who is 'faking' their sleep. Reading through the thread, it's obvious that you have been told all you need to know by several respondents. But your case isnt a lack of info as I thought earlier, it's rather an obstinate desire to maintain your left-right paradigm stance of "If Buhari says YES, I must say NO." So once again I'd say, whatever rocks your boat dear. You are right, Buhari prefers food to be available for his 4-legged siblings than for humans. You are advised to hold on tightly to your PVC cos 2019 is just around the corner so you can vote out the animal lover. Thanks! |
christinie:Lol ![]() I was sarcastically mocking your own ignorance, but I'm sure you didn't notice that. Read and get the right info before you open such amusing threads. FYI, Nigeria is trying to be self sufficient in food production; hence the ban on rice importation in order to support its local production. Now isnt the time to start encouraging indiscriminate importation. On the other hand, the grass being imported is a special grass seedling and it is meant for planting and production here in Nigeria and not eating. Once again, now isnt the time to encourage importation of anything for direct consumption. |
christinie:Black man only knows how to consume, why dont you go and eat the rice produced in Nigeria to promote more local production?... Or better still, you can start eating grass instead since you only want to eat imported things. Or like someone suggested, you can eat the cow that ate the imported grass and by doing that, you would have indirectly eaten the imported grass. ![]() |
Igobang:What is my business with eco atlantic and why do you keep referring to eko atlantic?.... Is your mind so tribally depraved that you cannot discuss anything without involving tribalism?... And most senseless is the fact that in your bid to turn an argument to tribal competition, you keep throwing your arrow to the wrong direction. And while I may have no tribal links with your eco atlantic, I know a little thing or two about it by merely reading and feeding my knowledge online. Obviously you are ignorant of the fact that eko atlantic isn't a government project but rather a private investment. |
theshadyexpress:I am not proving any case against anybody, that is not my job. As a concerned Nigerian, I would only lend my voice to the call for a proper investigation. While I admit I am not aware of the amount of funds released, it is obvious you are not also aware but have been running in blank circles. If that amount was budgetted, so how much was released? .... shouldnt you who claims to be informed tell us?.... or at least, the person being accused can come up with "insufficient funds were released" as a defense. But you have quickly jumped into defensive even while running around in circles. I am only lending my voice to the call for investigation by those who are informed. I am not judging nobody. |
Igobang:Well, I am a Nigerian and I am hurt when I remember that Nigeria which has no reason being a 3rd world slum is a actually one. Secondly, I am from the SE and as much as it's your business, it is also my business if the only international airport in my zone is upgraded only to crappy standards even when the funds for a proper job may have been released. And most of all, I am worried and pained that it is fellow south easterners for the sake of some silly political affiliations/allegiances that encourage, glorify and defend acts that shortchange the SE even whilst we still go out and claim on a later date that it is marginalisation. Now going by your imbecilic response above aboit me being pained there is an airport in Enugu, I do not know what on earth would make a normal human reason in such a way or spew such senselessness. But only God can deliver us from this mental slavery. |
theshadyexpress:Well, I am not privy to the exact funds which were made available, but my argument is purely based on the figures raised by SR which up till now, has not yet been denied by the people they accused. Regarding whether the job was poorly done or not, the report by SR also claims the runway and terminal jobs are still a far cry from basic standards. Once again, no denials have been made in this regard so that report is what I base my comments on. Or do you have any contrary position on the figures quoted and the quality of the job?.... Finally, if you read through my responses, I haven't really judged anyone. I am only in support of proper investigations. |
Igobang:To many minds in the SE have already been mentally depraved by hopelessly senseless and self-hurting tribalism (especially since the GEJ era to date). It's so widespread that any one who even dares to think differently is instantly banished automatically to the SW (not even from the north or middlebelt or SS). Whilst I marvel at such simple-mindedness, I can't help but feel worried and sorry for my own people. The rate at which we jump into the defensive mode defending even those that hurt us is quite disturbing. But I think I'm already used to seeing this and hearing this sort of argument. At this time, only God can deliver us from this mental slavery. |
theshadyexpress:On the contrary, you are the one with the zombie instincts else you should have understood the sarcasm in my message. Now since you are incapable of discerning simple statements, may I spell out my message using the most simple words, "who should be blamed for the poor job done?" |
Igobang:Na wa oo.... So in this whole story it is only the tribal aspect you are able to see?.... What has really gone wrong with the psyche of Nigerian youths? N23billion was released for the upgrade of Enugu airport runway and terminals. The upgrade of the runway was to make it a kilometre longer to enable larger planes (international) land at the airport. The upgrade of the terminal was to get it to international standard. Now to start with, N10bn is more than enough to build an entirely new runway, but someone ended up doing a shaby extension work on the old bad runway and now large international airlines are wary of the airport. Then we have N13bn for the upgrade of the terminal, under normal conditions, that amount would build a massive new international standard terminal. But what do we have today, we have a glorified airstrip at enugu after N23bn has gone down the drain and and large airlines are wary of the airport. Now this is supposed to be the only international airport servicing the SE axis, but an allegation like this is made and all you as a south easterner can do is to reduce it to tribalism?..... What kind of self hate is this?... This attitude has to be a broad form of the stockholm syndrome. Just recently, the ipob group claimed it was hausa and yoruba marginalisation / manipulation that led to the unavailability of a common tarmac shuttle bus at the enugu airport and you all cheered on. Now an allegation like this is made and instead of you to support a proper investigation, your mind can only think of tribal persecution against the woman?..... wow! |
So Stella did not award the contracts for the upgrade of the Enugu Airport yet we have been praising her all along? Now we need to know the exact person who should take that glory for the upgrade (and also, the accompanying blame for the poor job). |
Shortyy:80% is just a hyperbolic estimate. The point being passed was that MOST of the states are pdp. |
Specialiste:In addition to getting the high nutrient grass, the plan also includes restricting the movement of the cattle to confined reserves where the grasses would be planted. That should solve point you just made. |
lilprinze:At least APC hasnt broken your hero's record of mediocrity yet. As at handover in May 2015, power supply was 1327mw. Go figure! ![]() http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/183496-nigerias-power-generation-at-all-time-low-crashes-to-1327mw.html |
okosodo:I always try not to do the blame game by comparing with a forgotten past, but it is clear you jonathanian wailers are always the ones bringing up the comparisons and blame game. Between your GEJ who spent over 5 years (with oil boom) and a Buhari who has spent less than 1 year and who only got his first budget passed some days ago, who do you honestly think is more culpable in our rotten power infrastructure? FYI, your lord and saviour, the messiah GEJ handed over to Buhari, a broken down, rotten power infrastructure which was generating a paltry 1327mw as at handover on May 2015. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/183496-nigerias-power-generation-at-all-time-low-crashes-to-1327mw.html So the next time you want to make conparisons, just now the joke is on you; ignorance isn't an excuse. |
Sunnycliff:Power has been a problem in Nigeria even before I was born and NO, under your GEJ, Nigeria never had a steady 4000mw; quit inflicting yourself with selective amnesia. As a matter of fact, as at 1st May 2015, power dropped to 2800mw http://www.premiumtimesng.com/business/182309-nigerias-power-generation-drops-to-2800mw.html And then as at end May 2015, the same power dropped further to less than 2000mw (lowest ever). 1327mw to be specific. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/183496-nigerias-power-generation-at-all-time-low-crashes-to-1327mw.html Going by your logic and argument, 1327mw is the power level which your almighty GEJ handed over to Buhari. So quit all these unintelligent selective amnesia arguments, put politics aside and let's face the real issues. The power infrastructure in the country is so rotten that it would require a whole lot of 'wisdom of Solomon' reasoning to solve it especially when considering that the cash requirement of a total overhaul of the system isnt available. The present administration has 3 more years to prove themselves worthy by doing something about these incessant fluctuations from 5000mw to 2000mw. |
