This could just be a case of a guest totally losing ideas on what gift to buy for the couple, so he wraps a box in a flashy wrap, puts some stones in to give it weight and then put the cash he intends to use for a gift in the gift box.

But as usual, African man has seen it as juju sent by imaginary enemies to destroy marriage and the kind gesture of an undecided wedding guest is about to be burn in one church. undecided

It's so scary how the minds of a people can be totally configured to a paranoid mode where they believe every single negative occurence is pre-planned by 'enemies' to hurt them.

The airport today at Ibadan does not even have a building; never for once have I heard of Yorubas accusing anyone of ethnic persecution. Just recently, passengers disembarked from an aircraft with a NEPA ladder in Bauchi; I never heard of any Hausa person lamenting that it was ethnic persecution. Again the international airport at Port harcourt does not have a building for arrivals, they use a dirty white canopy and just recently, the airport was ranked the worst in the world by CNN. I did not hear the Rivers state people or Niger Deltans lament sabotage. Every right thinking human knows this is a general leadership problem that is suffered by all around Nigeria.

Yet a common airport shuttle is not available in Enugu and a group of people who call themselves elders abi na stakeholders have labelled it sabotage against Igbos with a sole aim of creating division and disaffection across tribal lines... And if you investigate properly, you may discover that funds may have been released for that bus but it was cornered by an Igbo man/woman. And this is exactly how the minds of Igbo youths and youngsters have configured since 1970 to see every issue from the paranoid angle as persecution.

The day Nigerians (not just Igbos) will open their eyes and see that the real problem we face is a class war of The Rich vs The Rest, that is the day things will begin to get better.

Whenever talk of the automotive policy, GEJ, and Buhari shows up on any thread a lot of primates follow with their primitive opinion which always excludes what they as an individual can do.When they start putting their money where their fingers clicks then we start going forward.

Go bank borrow money buy Innoson, Nissan or Kia built in Nigeria the policy was made for you to do that then do it and come here to boast of the immense benefit of your purchase stop howling about how someone never give you banana; go earn it yourself.
A nation is banning the use of ATM cards by its citizens outside it's shores in order to prevent capital flight, I suggest that a policy should be made for government offices at least to buy only made in Nigerian vehicles to also prevent capital flight, and this is what a supposedly smart person has to say to me?

FYI, I am not in anyway related to Innoson and I have no links with the company whatsoever. When nations want to prevent capital flight and save their economy, an important step they take is banning the importation of items which can be produced locally. I was only trying to make #CommonSense.

Some of these Jonathanians and PDPians are just shameless stark illiterates. How in earth did GEJ, a PhD holder manage to attract these group of people as his main supporters? grin

One of them wakes up one faithfull day and claims N1.7bn was budgeted for food. Reasonable humans have been asking for the source of this information yet even though they know it's a rumour, they keep opening more and more threads in desperation to propagate this foolishness. Some who think they are smart go ahead to paste a link to a budget breakdown which does not even contain this info; obviously they are to dumb to even read the contents of the budget breakdown themselves before they rushed to present it as proof of their ignorance. grin

Now the Op of this thread takes it to the next level by asking for an apology. What on earth do these guys even smoke?

where u're pointing could be right but we need to face reality. I've practically being to all d geographical zones of this country, we're not one. Marginalisation, sabotage or deceit exist n are real in all ramifications. The north experience it d south experience it. The difference is who is much on d receiving end. Lemme narrate this little example. There's this project (int'l donor project) in d north then. D guy managing it was from kwara, trouble started brewing when d locales complained of being neglected n other stuffs like that. So d donors threatened not to renew d project, if d problems continue. This guy heading d project made a statement, either its casually or he was thinking aloud. 'let it close, lemme get out of this hostile area'. As it'll be those problems denied d project being renewed, 'cos I think d guy enjoyed d problems raging than solving them. Its an all round problem, no particular tribe is not guilty of it against d other. For instance, many in d north hate d southerners cos they believe they're d reasons they're not getting opportunities. Its well, I have many things to say but many 'll misunderstand it.
All in all, true federalism should make every tribe understand what their problem is n curtail all these pointing of fingers.
The truth is that I have deeply reflected on the problems of Nigeria and like you rightly said, the problems faced in the south east are also faced in just about every other zone in the country. But its just a pity that most Igbos have been made to believe that it is only SE that suffers and that the issues are specifically planned to frustrate the Igbos.

Nigeria has always had a problem with maintenance and management and there is hardly any government owned or controlled instutution that works as it should. Alll the seaports in Nigeria today are dead except for Lagos. These people myopically say it is yoruba and hausa that killed all other ports to punish Igbos, they simply fail to acknowledge the poor maintenance and management culture in Nigeria. In my opinion, the only reason the Lagos ports are working is because there are no alternatives, these are the last surviving ports in Nigeria and they are being sustained even by private individuals not the government. Talking of international airports, these guys claim that hausas and yorubas have ensured only abuja and lagos airports are functional, once again, they myopically fail to acknowledge the horrible maintenance culture of government. They also gail to acknowledge that abuja is the FCt and lagos was the former FCT.

Minus Lagos which was a former FCt and which happens to be the last surviving airport in Nigeria, which airport in the entire south west is better than the owerri or enugu airports?.... With the exception of lagos which is a national commercial centre, Ibadan is the commercial capital of the SW. What is the state of the airport at Ibadan?... is it not that same airport where the departure and arrivals are done under dirty white canopies?... Same also for the north, with the exception of the abuja airport which is the FCT, which northern airport is really better than the ones in the SE?.... is it Kano?.... Yet Igbo elders and leaders keep deceiving the youths that it is yorubas and hausas that are sabotaging government establishments in the SE. This madness needs to stop ASAP!

Purring all these CBN forex restrictions aside, the FG should be thinking of complete ban on use of foreign made cars by government officials. Even is Innoson may not be able to meet up with demand, the Ministry of science and technology and trade and investment should think up something to support companies like Innoson to boost its production capacity.

For starters, the 108 SUVs the NASS wants to buy for committee assignments, if those 108 vehicles can be ordered from Innoson, then I know the government is serious. For any other vehicles they want to procure, I understand Nissan and KIA have plants in Nigeria now, the CBN should find a way to completely block government officials from buying these things from outside the shores of Nigeria.

When the government starts using these vehicles, it would encourage the ordinary Nigerian to also patronise them. There are many other ways the government can save forex besides an outright banning of the use of ATM cards abroad.

At a time like this when powerful nations are thinking of merging, already backward nations are planning to split. Nobody wants the instability that comes with a balkanised nation. Furthermore, if the clamour of the secessionists is for only the 5 landlocked purely Igbo states to split, I can assure you there wouldnt be much opposition. Lastly, if the agitators reduce the amount of open insults, death wishes and accusations against the west and the north, then maybe these people would be less concerned about what some igbos want to do in the SE.

Have you bordered trace where the sabotage is coming from?...

You claim the airport is tactically abandoned by this government?... tell me one other project across Nigeria that has not been tactically abandoned since 2015 because of paucity of funds?... how much was budgeted for this very project in the 2015 by GEJ in his 2015 budget?... Yet you conviniently place the blame on a new fundless government that inherited the abandoned project.

The persecution complex and victim mentality exhibited by Igbos across Nigeria has become an irritating nag, nobody takes this Igbo immaturity serious anymore. And yeah, the nation is not going to be balkanised since that is typically the target of all this nagging.

The real question nobody always asks is, who is marginalizing the Igbos?

A little diligence would reaveal that it is an Igbo man or woman that cornered the funds meant to buy that airport bus. But the way in which the mindset of a large population of igbos have been configured to always put the blame on others is mind boggling.

Point of correction, the culture of impunity is like a plant which was planted and nurtured by PDP until it grew to its massive state. Buhari is presently set to uproot that tree, but then, he has to start by cutting the leaves and the branches before he gets to the tap root. Obviously the planters of this tree and their supporters are very uncomfortable with the destruction of their beloved legacy of corruption and impunity. Last I checked there is no moratorium in fighting corruption in Nigeria or investigating and prosecuting crimes.

Buhari should start from 1977 when he was minister under Obasanjo......
Sorry Buhari will not do that. Do you know why?... It's because he is not as foolish as you want and pray for him to be. Just like the Op has said, the war against corruption must be pragmatically prosecuted.

@Tuale4u
This is a brilliant and well articulated write-up. I particularly agree with point No. 10,
10. The truth is that all the people who are shouting witch-hunting, "selective", "vendetta" want the anti corruption war to fail. If I have access to Buhari, I will tell him to completely ignore them. Those people want him to fight on all front so that he will lose and then come back to mock him.
The main reason all these lovers of thieves are suggesting Buhari should start from 1960 is because they simply want his administration to fail woefully. Even just the Dasuki case is taking so much time and resources, yet these lovers of thieves want cases from 1960 to be handled. They aren't even a bit smart in concealing their real intentions.
