I really hate nonsense...

So according to your mumulity... Cus other regions are marginalized, Southeast should remain silent and pretend all along cus others are silent with theirs?

This shows that we have nothing in common and something uncommon!!!

We are not slaves to be turned whichever way that suits the leading elites and for that we're speaking up and instead of other cowardly regions to join the chorus with their voices they choose to speak against us and fight all our effort by saying that no one is marginalized or that we're all marginalized, is this not stupidity at Hieyest Havenhuh
It's only reasonable for you to stop claiming that you are the only one being marginalised even when you know deep down that it is a lie. It is even more silly to accuse someone who suffers from a similar problem as you do of being responsible for your problems.

Your agreement that other regions are also marginalised further gives credence to the question asked by Buhari, "who is marginalising the Igbos?"
What we have is a leadership deficiency problem which is a GENERAL Nigerian problem and not isolated to Igbos; you can keep deceiving yourself by using the word 'marginalisation' freely.

Why interchange tribe with region?

Igbos may not be marginalized from your assumptions but Southeast as a region is maginalized development-wise.

How about a centenary city in Enugu or Owerri for a start?

Igbos are not asking for N5000 every month for any category of its people far from it rather a federal presence in form of partial administrative or commercial or investment headquarters.
Going by your definition of marginalisation, can you kindly mention one region of Nigeria which is not equally marginalised?

Enough of all these silly talk of marginalisation only existing in the SE. This is one way in which Igbos continue to spite other regions by claiming we are the only ones suffering lack of government presence even when it is clear that EVERY OTHER REGION suffers the same government inadequacy.

Yae, How can some one who has been speaking of Igbo's merginalization, how fg has neglected the zone
Since after the war now started saying that the igbos was never merginalized at all and you want me to believe that money is not involved here..
I used to also believe and spread the story of Igbo marginalisation until more recently. Growing up in an Igbo home, there's basically no way you wouldnt be brought up with this mentality but I now see things differently.

Without going into much explanations or debates, I can assure you that the problem we face in Nigeria is a class war of the rich elite marginalising the rest of the nation. It was never a case of any region marginalising any region but obvioisly, only the Igbos have failed to open their eyes to realise this. Every single problem faced by the Igbos in Nigeria are also faced by every other region and ethnic group in Nigeria. But while other groups have grown to a point where they push the blame on their leaders, Igbo elite and leaders have always tactically shifted the blame to other major ethnic groups and the Igbo society has consistently fallen for this ruse (because it sounds plausible due to post civil war paranoia).

The complaints of the south east not having federal presence isnt a new things anymore, but with the exception of Lagos and Abuja which are federal capital territories, can someone please tell me which areas in Nigeria have federal presence? And what exactly is this federal presence that the rest of Nigerian regions have which we dont have in the SE?

Someone actually suggested that the FCT should be moved from Abuja to the south east for this cry of marginalisation to stop buy you and I know that is silly.

This may not be the best of time for President Muhammed Buhari as an Abuja based Constitutional Lawyer and Human Rights Activist who was once his ardent support has publicly disowned him and asking Nigerians to forgive him for lending his support to machineries that brought a Tyrant back to power.
Barrister Johnmary Chukwukasi Jideobi took to his facebook page where he called on all Nigerians to rise and stop President Buhari in his unconstitutional path. Find the full text below.
"What more can one say? I want to publicly APOLOGIZE to all Nigerians for ardently supporting the presidential bid of President Muhammed Buhari which eventually brought him to power. The strongest reason then for supporting him was that scandalous corruption was about bringing the country down, then I saw in him a man willing to save the situation. He promised being a changed democrat and I believed him.
Defiance of Court Order is indeed a "HIGH TREASON" if there is one like that in our penal books. It becomes the "HIGHEST TREASON" (if such exists in our penal books) if the defiance is unfortunately coming from the head and mouth of a democratically-elected President who shoulders the obligation of being the Enforcer of law in Chief. Sections 6 and 287 of the amended 1999 Constitution vindicates me. Until President Muhammed Buhari withdraws his unfortunate arrogant statement and apologizes to Nigerians, I withdraw my support for President Muhammed Buhari and apologize to all Nigerians for actively supporting the machineries that brought a tyrant back to power.
The Constitution of Nigeria is the plank upon which democracy is standing and if it is destroyed, democracy is gone. It is sacred and must remain inviolable. In law, nothing stands on nothing. If you put something on nothing, it will collapse. Open defiance of Court orders is literally rumpling the Nigerian Constitution and casting same to the trashcan.
Let it always be remembered and may history and historians record that at a time like this I rose to condemn presidential impunity. The time to rise and stop Mr. President Buhari in his unconstitutional path is now. I eternally believe Thomas Paine when he reasoned that "IF THERE MUST BE TROUBLE, LET IT BE IN MY OWN DAY THAT MY CHILD MAY HAVE PEACE" May God save Nigeria from Traitors. May God bless Nigeria and give her peace! I choose to say no more."

this, those of us that have been listening to mbaka's talk far back as of 2008 will understand what am saying..Mbaka's beef with Jonathan was that Jonathan never visited nor granted an audience with him wen he requested to speak with Jonathan, thats where the whole issue with Jonathan started..

Listen to mbaka's talk that he spoke on the future of Nigeria that was around 2009, he listed the different atrocities the northerners have committed against Ndiigbo from killing, burning and looting of their business, how the FG have refused to implement the 3RS in the east since after the war, How they have moved every investment to abuja and Lagos and left FG presence Nonexistent in the east. Is this not the marginalization we are talking about huh huh..

Fast forward it now to 2015/16 since buhari won the election, mbaka has finally stopped speaking against the evils of Nigerian govt to the igbos because of a meagre amount of money..how the mighty has easily fallen..
Search your heart deeply and answer these 2 questions honestly:
1. Do you really think Buhari gave money to Fr. Mbaka?
2. If you think Fr. Mbaka's was running after money, between GEJ and PMB, who do you think he would have easily been able to get money from?

In a country like Nigeria where money and material wealth drives even the greatest reliigious leaders, you cant really be blamed for seeing things the way you do. However, I would like to you to ruminate on the 2 questions I just asked even as I remind you that it's not every single opinion that is swung by money.

Obviously you have also fallen for the deceit by the evil detractors that the FG is flouting court orders right?... Do you really think a government whose number 2 man is a seasoned SAN doesn't know what it's doing?.... With great legal brains like Prof Itse Sagay whispering legal advice directly into Buhari's ears, you really think buhari would fully frontally flout legal orders?..... If they think he's disobeying court orders they should take him to court and then they would try and prove to the court where it is written in the Nigerian constitution that someone who was released by the courts cannot be re-arrested for another charge. Even the legal team of the suspects know that no law has been broken, hence they have been quietly appealing for bail on compassionate grounds but politicians like Fayose and FFK being the politicians they are are having a filled day deceiving Nigerians like you and I that court orders are being flouted.

Somehow I even just like the way the FG has tactically played a deaf ear to these allegations.

I am totally with you on this, TO HELL WITH THE LAW!!! As long as the law will keep giving big thieves who destroy millions of lives a tap on the back and delivering death sentences to hungry maggi thieves, I will stress it again, TO HELL WITH THE LAW!!!

Nigeria as a nation is not ripe yet to apply the rule of any law or even democracy. Nigeria is no doubt a jungle and in the words of Hon Patrick Obahiagbon the great Igodomigodo, "in the land of the lawless, it is a crime to be law abiding." So far the Buhari led government hasn't even flouted any laws as widely alleged falsely by evil detractors, the FG has only manipulated the obvious loopholes in the law just like the thieving elite have also been doing for ages.

What I have said may negate common sense, logic or decency but this is exactly how I feel. Nigeria needs a ruthless leader who listens to no one but who truly means well for the nation. In the words of Charly Boy, "Nigeria needs a benevolent dictator."

Politics › Re: Continuous Detention Of Nnamdi Kanu And Dasuki: Did FG Flout Any Law? by obailala(m): 10:23pm On Dec 31, 2015
TonyeBarcanista:
Since the pronouncement of Buhari justifying Nnamdi Kanu and Sambo Dasuki's detention, some people have gone public to abuse the President and seeking to score cheap point. Has Buhari or DSS really violated the law in Kanu and Dasuki's trial?

On Nnamdi Kanu's Continuous Detention
Firstly, I want to make some clarification. At no time did any court "free or clear" Mr Nnamdi Kanu of any charge against him. What Justice Ademola of the FHC(Abuja) did was to vacate the order it first granted to DSS to detain Kanu for three months. The court vacated the order on the ground that it was unconstitutional to hold a suspect in detention for more than three months without charging such suspect to court. In the words of the learned judge;

What the DSS simply did was to detain Kanu and file case in court on charges that borders on treason. In other words, Kanu is no longer being detained without trial as it was before. It is left for him to argue his innocence with the judge. If the DSS had breached the court ruling, the judge would have summoned them for contempt.

Did Kanu Really Commit Treason?
What constitute treason in Nigeria? The offence of treason can be found in sections 37 to 49 of the Nigeria criminal code.

According to section 37(1) of the Nigeria criminal code; Any person who levies war against the State, in order to intimidate or overawe the President or the Governor of a State, is guilty of treason, and is liable to the punishment of death. Section 37(2) further stated that Any person conspiring
with any person, either within or without Nigeria, to levy war against the State with intent to cause such levying of war as would be treason if committed by a citizen of Nigeria, is guilty of treason and is liable to the punishment of death:
.

Through radio biafra, Kanu preached inciting messages and even went as far as soliciting for arms with intent to wage war against the State. This was captured in a video that has gone viral. I think that breached section 37(2) of Nigeria criminal code(in my opinion). It is however left for the judge to make pronouncement.
God bless you Barcanista.... I have been wondering whether I was really the crazy one when I raised this question to a friend recently. What law has the FG through the DSS broken by charging these suspects for other crimes and rearresting them after their release?

Is it that Nigerians are just illiterate to understand these elementary things or is it emotions that has eroded the ability to reason straight?.... The only problem I have is the inability of the governement to communicate properly with the nation on these issues especially from the legal angle. Sometimes I wonder what the job of the presidential spokespersons, the minister of information, the DSS and EFCC spokespersons and the ministry of justice spokespersons are.

Lalasticlala, Seun, it would be nice if a larger audience gets to see and reason this issue from a different angle.

The price of PMS is now based on an daily calculation of internal and external factors. I am sure someone will get hold of an release the calculation soon on NL. Expect to see price moving towards international PMS prices, factoring in things like price of crude, refining, loading, transportation loading ( off/on) and distribution costs. As local PMS refining capacity ramps up expect a fall due to lower offloading and distribution costs.

It could only be a gradual increase. With the removal of subsidies, you would be surprised at how private refineries would spring up carelessly across the land. The benefits of removing subsidies and deregulation have always been known, the only problem has been the sudden doubling or tripling of pump prices and the attendant price inflation it would have come with. With oil prices now at the rock bottom, what other time is better for the subsidies to be removed?

In sane societies, when complaints like these are made, d authorities do due investigation n thats what these ppl are calling for but u're in ur room to know its paranoia n fake alarm. Shame!
On a second taught, who'll do d investigation, (it needs to be done anyway).

First of all, I am from the SE so I am speaking as an insider. While growing up, my mentality was molded by my parents and my environment to believe in these things that Igbos are always targeted by every other Nigerian tribe (not just Hausa and Yoruba). I was brought up to believe that everything wrong I see in the SE is an ingeniously orchestrated plan by the rest of Nigeria to tie the Igbos down. But then after growing up and asking myself and people around certain questions, I realised that most of the things we accused others of are actually self inflicted problems.

There is no doubt that after the war, Igbos have suffered some form of persecution in Nigeria and Igbos have a right to be paranoid, it is something that always happens after a war. However, this paranoia has eaten too deep into the psyche of an average Igboman and the effects have become ridiculous. Greedy politicians have also not helped matters, whenever their greed gets on the way of their performance and they fail, they easily manipulate the general paranoia of the people and claim it was persecution and sabotage by other tribes. However if a painstaking investigation is conducted, you would realise that most of the problems faced in the SE today are a result of the kind of unpatriotic and rogue leaders we always produce.

Meanwhile, Nnamdi kanu acknowledged this leadership deficiency however he strangely went ahead to also shift the blame; he alleged that all leaders in the SE are chosen by northerners and SW and that once a leader starts being good, the northerners and SW would plot to remove him. He specifically cited the case of Ngige as the anambra governor, he alleged that the north and SW plotted and removed ngige when they found out he was being a very effective governor (I can show you the exact video where Kanu made this remark). How ridiculous can the reasoning of a people be?.... The last time I remember, anambra people refused to vote ngige as governor because they specifically accused him of being in a 'Yoruba Party' ACN but now the blame is on the north and SW?

Unfortunately, Igbos have woefully failed to see through this veil of deceit by dubious leaders, there is hardly any issue faced in the SE that is not attributed to northerners and southwesterners now (SS has carefully been excluded from these blames lately because the secessionists obviously want to rope the SS into Biafra). That a common shuttle bus is absent in an airport and it is attributed to sabotage by northerners / southwesterners speaks volumes of the point I'm trying to make. I can bet my life that GEJ through his aviation minister Stella Oduah must have approved funds for the purchase of that shuttle bus but someone within that Enugu airport management, an Igbo son must have either misappropriated the funds or stolen it outright. Sadly in the same paranoid manner of alwayd shiftingblame outside, the SE stakeholders instead of investigating within have automatically concluded it is sabotage from SW and north, they simply know it is what Igbos want to hear and what Igbos would quickly believe so they easily manipulate the gullibility of the people and divert attention from their crimes.

Regarding your analogy about people dialling 911 in the US and the authorities investigating and wven calling back to ensure all if fine, why dont you go to the US and dial 911 several times on false emergencies, you will not only be ignored the next time but you would also be prosecuted and fined heavily.
