luvprince4real:Sorry mate I'm not confused, that I dont support a man being the president of my country doesn't mean I hate him. It doesn't also mean that I don't recognise him as a celebrity/public figure whom I would like to take a selfie with. https://bitsofwisdom.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/2-huge-lies_small.jpg |
erunz:I am a very big GEJ critic and opponent, but if I meet him anywhere, I will also scramble to get a selfie. |
OnankpaBa:Beta food don come.... funny enough, they would forget/ignore the fact that it is from Sahara. |
viviangist:I think the lady is 'sharp'... #Dazall |
APGA we know.... Umeh we know... There is nothing like PDP in Anambra. |
Lol... a drowning man, he has just isolated himself from his jonathanian abobakus with this statement (that's if he really made the statement). |
There was no election at all in the entire Rivers state. Since 1999 we've been having election rigging in Nigeria, but what happened in Rivers was more like 'election taking'. When you have touts and drunken illiterates organising election rigging, this is the sort of thing you get, foolish malpractices. Rivers state happens to be the only state with several exmilitants as members of their House of assembly; even the present speaker is a proud cultist and exmilitant still under the amnesty program. During the elections, pdp enjoyed a lot of goodwill because of GEJ, if they had used their brains, they would have easily won in a free and fair election. But now, the tide seems to be changing. |
fasho01:What do you mean by the emboldened part of your statement?.... After OBJ virtually cleared Nigeria's debts accumulated through the military years, go and check what the PDP under GEJ specifically borrowed (I say under GEJ not because I want to attack him but because 99% of the borrowings actually happened under him). Even though the nation enjoyed much more income from oil, borrowing escalated under GEJ and we even borrowed to pay salaries. The debts accumulated between 2007 to 2015 is presently way way more than what was cleared by OBJ. Yet this same PDP is here asking APC who they left an empty treasury for not to borrow. Probably the idea is to ensurw APC doesnt lay down a single block till 2019 so they can claim apc has done nothing. Someone needs to cut off this FFK's tongue and fingers. I really wish buhari was still a military man. |
The Trent, a.k.a TRENTONLINE I thought they were going to name Tinubu man of the year? ![]() https://www.netanimations.net/Laughing-chimp-gif-animation.gif |
HARDBUOI:You are obviously lost, I suggest you scroll back up and read about what this thread is all about. It is a direct comparison between GEJ's handling of the situation vs. PMB's handling of the situation. Yet you want to focus on only PMB's side of the fence for obvious reasons and you think that makes sense? |
HARDBUOI:You are no more in elementary school bro. You cant just approach situations from the elementary point of view and think you are making sense when there's a big picture to be considered. |
I personally do not understand the rationale behind the $38 benchmark. |
Hehehehe... APGA we know ![]() |
Sometimes I just can't help but wonder, do these statements made by Oliseh Metuh represent the official stand of the PDP or are these just Mr Metuh's opinions? ![]() |
HARDBUOI:First of all, the exchange rate at the parallel market was N220 to $1 as at the time of handover in May 2015. The exchange rate was N155 in early December 2014. Secondly, it is only airheads that still believe and spread the falsehood that PMB said he will make N1 = $1; this issue was thrashed and eventually trashed during the elections. Obviously, only airheadds would still hold on to this even though the only journalist who claimed he heard PMB make this statement in public couldn't provide a recording (meanwhile he alleged that the statement was made in public at a campaign rally). Now to the matter at hand, only an airhead would claim he/she doesnt know the reason behind the rapid fall in value of the Naira. When a country depends on basically one item for its forex income and the market for that item crashes, there is bound to be a scarcity of forex and with scarcity, the price goes up. Now both GEJ's government and Buhari's governmment suffered the impact of this oil price crash and recession; GEJ's government at its tail end felt the impact while PMB's government has suffered the impact from day 1. Within the last 6 months of GEJ's reign (Dec'14-May'15), the value of the naira at the parallel market dropped by 42% (N155 to N220) while within the 7 months of PMB's reign, the value of the naira in the parallel market has dropped so far by 27.27% (N220 to N280). This is notwithstanding the fact that even as at handover, the oil prices were still marginally higher than what it is today. With these figures dangling in your faces, someone who claims to be educated and smart and who wants to politicise the misfortunes of Nigeria now argues that GEJ handled the recession better?.... Even with my explanations, you still CONFIDENTLY think I am making a mockery of myself?... Your case is even more pathetic than I imagined and you keep publishing your ignorance in ALL CAPITAL letters. |
HARDBUOI:No it is a silly comarison because while the poster was trying to mock PMB in his analysis, the figures actually say the opposite. Go back and read what I wrote and tell me I am wrong. You claimed that GEJ managed the recession better than PMB, but yet under GEJ, the Naira lost N65 in 6months (and this is even when oil still sold above $65/barrel. Meanwhile under PMB, the naira has lost N60 in 7 months (even with oil selling at $35 presently). Any person with an education should be able to compare the difference and judge who is doing better. This is just a case of elementary comprehension abilities, except you both are claiming not to have this. |
HzRF:My point was very clearly outlined for even a kindergaten pupil to understand. I was simply addressing a general misconception by you jonathanians about GEJ handling the economy (following oil price crash) better than PMB. Like I said, if you are smart, you should have attacked the direct facts and figures I quoted instead of resorting to the all too usual bickering about nothing. |
ican2020:If you had this sense you talk about, maybe you would have been able to point out exactly what is false in what I said. I would kindly advise you to keep the sense you are giving out, you need it more ![]() |
tessybrown:All these jonathanian children who still wallow in ignorance and misinformation never cease to amaze me. As at early December 2014, the naira value was at N155 to $1. But as at May 29th, the value stood at N220 to $1; that was a crash of N65 within 6 months even though global oil prices was still at $65/barrel as at May 2015 and this was at the start of the recession when there should still have been some reserve saved funds to manage the situation. On the flip side, the value of the naira is about N280 to $1 today; that is a crash of N60 in 7 months and may I state here that crude presently sells globally for $35/barrel and the government of GEJ left basically no saved funds to manage such a situation. So when next some of you jonathanian infantiles want to politicise the nation's current predicament, may you be reminded that GEJ and his NOI headed economic team did not manage the situation better even though they had much more resources. You will only ridicule yourselves and your god (GEJ) if you continue making this silly comparison. |
ShowYourCertificate:You would have preferred being a woman? ![]() Anyway I blame GEJ for your predicament
So indeed Ngene is a 'man' afterall? ![]() |
EternalTruths:I thought I was even relating to a more matured mind. Grow up boy! |
gists:To actually paint the picture more clearly, as at early December 2014, the naira value was at N155 to $1. But as at May 29th, the value stood at N220 to $1; that was a crash of N65 within 6 months even though global oil prices was still at $65/barrel as at May 2015. On the flip side, since May 29th till date, the value of the naira is about N280 to $1; that is a crash of N60 in 7 months and may I state here that crude presently sells for $35/barrel. So when I examine the claims of GEJ supporters who want to politicise this by claiming that GEJ and his NOI headed economic team managed the situation better, I just shake my head in disgust at the dullness of these set of people. |
Orjioorji:Cos he took over power in the middle of a major recession, and the external drivers of the recession are still getting worse. This matter is beyond GEJ or PMB or PDP or APC. There's hardly anything that can be done on the short term but things will definitely stabilise and get better on the long run. For now, Nigerians need to brace up for the worst in 2016, I forsee the dollar hitting N350 or more and a bag of rice hitting N20k. |
LordAdam:No the real zombies should come and blame buhari. ![]() |
Afam4eva:I agree with this 101%. I cant seem to understand this strange tradition of copy copy. When di Nigeria become brazil or the Caribbeans? |
Nigeria is presently afflicted with a very powerful cankerworm of corruption. GEJ was obviously intimidated greatly by the corrupt cabals in various sectors that he resorted to ignoring the activities of the cabals and actually denying their existence. Buhari has promised and shown a determination to take these cabals head on. Even when he was a military man, the cabals found a way to knock him off. Corruption is like a monster, if you fight it, it fights back and unfortunately, it is very powerful. The matter is beyond GEJ or Buhari and there's only much in which any determined leader can achieve in this dirty fight against corruption. For the fight to be won, Nigerians have to gather enmass and stand behind any leader who shows any determination to tackle this monster. Only when the people fully support the fight against this monster can the monster be defeated. God help us! |
Chaiiiii...!! Buhari WHY? ![]() |
So this is what PDP has been reduced to?.... They now stoop to the shamefull level of impersonating the voice of notable personalities. God help us from this desperation. |
Kuje seems to be having some high level guests lately... ![]() |
Hehehe... Interesting! ![]() what charity are they running for? |
foreman:Send the girl out ASAP, cos if you dont, you will surely tap that booty. Except you don't mind being an oko ashawo, and except you dont mind the self guilt that will eat you up afterwards. THE ONLY WAY TO AVOID IT IS TO SEND HER PACKING!! |
