JK Agbaje made a very very strong point. Lagos cannot continue to be an opposition state.... If JK really values his own words, and he loves Lagos state like he claims, then he should be stepping down and voting for Lagos to continue to be under APC control. ![]() www.nairaland.com/attachments/2279178_image_jpeg9f360c5ab7736510df54c882e9dbf188 |
Just 2 things: 1. If Buhari is found ineligible, his deputy, Prof Osinbajo would be sworn in as President elect of Nigeria. Isnt that even wonderful? 2. The case of perjury against Buhari is about to be dismissed in days. The Nigerian Army has just confirmed that they have finally found the academic records of Buhari. Case closed!!.. it was PDP politics all along |
Wow!.. Where has this man been hiding all these while? I suppose he must have distanced himself from politics because of the embarrassing manner in which the PDP has been Thank God he has resurfaced. These are the kind of SS and SE leaders who should be representing us in Abuja, not the likes of GEJ, Orubebe, TAORJI, Asari etc. Nigeria shall be great again! |
“It is sad that the value of the naira has dropped to more than N230 to one dollar. This does not speak well for the nation’s economy,” I still do not understand how the Vanguard journalist and the Vanguard editor interpreted the above statement to mean "I will make N1 = $1" This particular falsehood was the height of mischief during the electioneering period and it spread like wild fire. I argued several times with GEJ supporters on the falsehood of this particular statement but even though it was VERY clear that it was a deliberate false interpretation, the GEJ supporters wouldnt want to hear any of it, the kept dwelling on it and acting as if they didnt have brains. I generally had to just shun the argument. Thank God Buhari won eventually; if GEJ supporters want to continue masturbatiing with this falsehood, they can please themselves. |
midolian:Naaa... Do you think these men really like the violence?... These guys are normal everyday people who wish to peacefully go back to their wives and children everyday. Besides, the prominent militant commanders have been fed so fat by GEJ, I doubt they would ever be able to return to the creeks. It is not these guys who have already been fed fat we should be worried about, rather my worry is about their boys who have been waiting on standby in the creeks and who feel cheated that the commanders cornered all the loot. |
todayboy:Even if I eventually regret making Buhari president (God forbid), I will never regret removing Goodluck Ebele Jonathan from the seat of the C-in-C. Take note, it was never about Buhari, rather it was just about removing GEJ. |
Obviously tribalism still reigns supreme in the hearts of Nigerians... No matter how hard we try to downplay or deny it, the fact is that there's a bit of tribalism in every man (even in the almighty USA, a black man who didn't vote Obama is viewed in a strange way by his folks). The entire north voted for Buhari = Pure tribalism The entire SS & SE voted for GEJ = Pure tribalism In this election, the SW and middle belt were a bit torn on whom to support hence the voting pattern in these regions were more reasonable and not tribally biased. In 2011, the SW and MB voted for Jonathan because all Nigerians believed he was a breathe of fresh air. After an abysmal performance, the people in these regions took a U-turn and voted against Jonathan (even though the results were still almost 50-50). |
lordthree:Are you aware this statement is the biggest lie of the whole campaign season which spread like wildfire and was believed by many?... Buhari never made this statement. Every other gaffe of Buhari was caught on video with the videos being circulated everywhere but there is not a single video or audio evidence to support this strange rumour. I watched the entire Buhari speech at the Owerri campaign and didn't hear when he allegedly mentioned this. Can you please provide any evidence to support this? |
Wow! This is an interesting observation... I smell frontpage ![]() |
..And the CHANGE starts already! ![]() ...But on a serious not, that was a well written petition and it was addressed to all the right authorities. I'm sure the petitioner must be a lawyer or an activist. and finally, the petitioner must be a fearless person for exposing all his details including contact addresses in the letter. May justice prevail, Nigeria must be rescued. |
contactmorak:Under 30?... Now I feel bad about myself cos I would be 30 in a year. ![]() |
When I watched the interview I thought I heard Buhari say 'few months.' I wonder the kind of ears these journalists have. ![]() |
cramjones:Chai!! ![]() |
dazey:Enjoy your personal paradise of oblivion |
bokohalal:What kind of wild dream is this?... How can a defector be trusted with such a sensitive post as senate president even in the face of other qualified party loyalists who struggled and won for the party?... If such an idea is ever attempted, it would lead to self destruction in the APC. |
blackbee:CHaiii!!... Diaris God ooo! |
bokohalal:Dreamers! The Igbos had a chance but we blew it all because of an irrational and senseless hatred for the APC. Ngige was already tipped to be the senate president, being an old time senator from the SE but like they normally say, "hate eats up the soul of the hater." Now Rochas the last Igbo man standing in the ruling party (APC) is about to be discarded all because of this same rabid but irrational hate for APC. His crime being that he supported a mallam against GEJ but I just laugh because these are the same people who also supported Yaradua just a few years back and who are ready to vote the same PDP when PDP fields an Hausa man in 2019. Rochas being the only Igbo leader in APC and the most acceptable Igbo leader amongst other ethnic nationalities may just be the only hope of an Igbo presidency someday. But I doubt if the irrational hatred for APC will let us discard our myopia. |
FreeGlobe:The main reason GEJ lost isn't because of the north because the north you talk about also voted Buhari in 2011 but he lost. GEJ lost because both the middle belt and the south west that supported him massively in 2011 got sick and tired and withdrew their support and this was because of 2 things: 1. GEJ's unparalleled incompetence which was obvious to all and sundry (both foreigners and Nigerians alike) 2. The fact that even though his incompetence was so glaring, the people of the SE and SS could not for a second see any single flaw in him but instead, chose to insult the sensibilities of others for daring to complain. If anyone wants to talk of tribalism, then I must say the SE and SS took tribalism to a ridiculous and senselessly provoking level in the past 4 years all because of a support for Jonathan. Every tribe has a bit of tribalism in them but it becomes really obscene when you come out in full public glare and scream about your support of a particular person SOLELY because the person is of your tribe. Only the northerners have been known to exhibit this indiscretion in their own tribalism but they can be forgiven because 95% of their population are stark illiterates. I cant say the same of the southerners though because we are quite educated and enlightened. I remember vividly the case of the aviation minister who was unfortunate to be caught red handed in some fraud. Up till now, many Igbos do not think there is anything wrong in what she did and they go further to even insult the sensibilities of everyone else by publicly declaring that she should be freed SIMPLY BECAUSE SHE IS IGBO. For the first time in my life, I felt really embarrassed being from the SE during the Stella Oduah saga. For once, people need to look inwards and stop blaming others for every single misfortune. This particular attitude of blaming others for every single misfortune (even those caused by an act of God) also played a pivotal role in losing GEJ the support of the SW and MB who voted him in 2011. |
It takes only a great man to think differently and defy an entire ethnic nationality (of which he belongs) and stand firm without compromise for what he believes in. Many myopic people may think he betrayed his people but that is very silly reasoning. A walk down the memory lane of history reveals that most heroes and society changers were initially seen as crazy saboteurs and they were opposed rabidly by their kinsmen. Amaechi may have lost the battle (Rivers) but he certainly won the war. |
CHESSBOARD:Hahaha... trust me by denouncing GEJ publicly and resigning from PDP, OBJ definitely inflicted a huge damage on GEJ's ambition; not minding that he was thought to be irrelevant. |
2007: OBJ supported Yaradua, he won 2011: OBJ supported Goodluck, he won 2015: OBJ supported Buhari, he won ..and someone says OBJ is irrelevant in Nigerian politics? ![]() |

@Op Whatever! |
Chai!!... Instant change of allegiance ![]() |
This is a very responsible path towed by Mr Ayo Fayose. He happens to be the first PDP strongman to congratulate GMB and even though I'm surprised about this, I must commend the (dirty) fighter. |
StCapital:Seriously? Sometimes I wonder the brand of weed some Jonathanians smoke that make then to build castles in the air... Or is this just a case of unbridled faith? |
This is very shameful... Can you imagine the common criminal threatening the peace of the nation? |
Just like the misguided northerners have been bombing and killing their own people since 2011, the niger-deltans would soon start killing themselves foolishly for the next 4 years. Blackman = senseless ![]() |
ilovecritics:Your fisherman 'jesus of otuoke' has just been crucified before Easter and would be returning to the creeks where he belongs... Talking of humiliation?.. How about that |
This is very shameful ![]() |
