Marriage is definitely not for the faint hearted. If you are not prepared to forgive a lot of things then you cannot remain in marriage.

Watching them interact was like watching two friends gist, which is what many couples of these days seem to lack: a core understanding of what marriage is all about. That marriage is not just about sex, glitz and glamour and taking photos. That marriage is HARD WORK, but that work is made easier when there is love, mutual respect, friendship and companionship in the union. These two fought for their marriage and they are still going on strong.

Awon 'marriage is overrated' crew should take note that good news doesn't make an interesting read but bad news of drama, cheating and divorce captivates the attention and panders to the human's innate propensity for scandal and gossip. There are still successful marriages out there, even between younger couples than the Smiths, but since you only read about the troubled ones, you now have the idea that all marriages are like the bad ones you read about online.

Trust me, if you just close your eyes and think of at least one thing you like about her then focus on that one thing whilst you accommodate other inadequacies, you will realize it is easy to love her.

Let me cut the story short. Had a fling with this girl, along the line she got pregnant. You know all that talk of "if you could sleep with her, then you must marry her" "if you got her pregnant then you must marry her", Iooking back now, I wished I hadn't listened to all those voices.

I knew in my heart that I didn't love her, even she knew but the pressure from the family was too much, I had to marry her. On my marriage day I was practically crying within me.

Her character is just opposite of all I wanted in a woman, she's barely educated, loud and loquacious.

That's my cross I am carrying today, stuck in a loveless marriage.

The warmth and Romance is absent from our home, we have not had intimacy since beginning of the year till now, we just have no interest anymore in each other. We are just living together for the sake of our child.

My question now is how does one cope�? Is this how I am going to live the rest of my life?

Hi everyone! So I was at my brother's house yesterday and could you believe his wife cooked rice for me and served me with a meat I mean just a meat.

This is the person that knows how choosy I could be when it comes to eating.

I'd recall vividly before my brother married her, then when I visit my brother at his place I do the cooking and the least meat/fish I'd always dish my food with could be two or three.
But I have been wondering how on earth would she serve me her in-law with just a meat.
This is an insult of the highest order, like I'm gonna need to call my brother's attention to it.

Well at the end of the day I had no choice than to eat the food like that with the one meat she served me. The food self no sweet.

Almost everyone in my family and church have lost their sense of smell and taste and recovered recently....which is a symptom of corona virus.

Are we all infected and recovering on our own?

Good day everyone, I'm a guy of 22years before now I've promised my parents that all through my stay in school I won't endulge in anything sexual but as of last 2 month something happened, I made out with a lady(didn't penetrate) but since then my mind hasn't been at rest, I over think, I'm loosing control, my heart beats faster, I've told my parents about it but yet I'm not calm.

In Addition: I took a substance (Man power) on that day, I don't know if it's what is affecting me. It's over 6weeks now.

I've run to God and made a vow to him if I get free...

It is now I understand what being strict does, it makes you live a life of pretence, cos when I got into University I wanted to explore everything  I didn’t have the chance of doing at home.

I drank alcohol like crazy, smoked weed, hung out with rich boys, partying, doing drugs but when I go visit my Parents, I still act like that innocent girl they have always known.

My Dad’s strictness led to my Pretence, if he had drawn me close like my mum did, I would have been a better kid.

When parents use strictness to shut down a kids curiosity instead of guiding them, you are making matters worse for that kid. Because eventually that curiosity will lead them into adventures and exploring all those things you refused them to..

Looking back, al the flogging I received from my dad only made me more stubborn and ruthless.

Nothing really changed? Until my mum made me change for good.

Parents need to use wisdom not force..
