The age is not too small. Your son can start off learning scratch then move on to a language like C or C++ at his age money isn't a factor so it would be good to learn things like that.

He can also go a step further to learn data structures and algorithms and start competing with his mates on solving hard programming questions. Don't allow anyone say your son is too young. Go and check the age of kids participating at the international Olympiads for informatics or google and Facebook code jam. They are mostly within the age range of 9 to 16.
Isn't that too steep? Why not start him off with Front End Web development? He gets to learn about HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript. Or get him to learn Arduino and Robotics with the Arduino kit. Then grow from there.

Guys chill, blue on blue happens once in a while even the US air force can make such mistakes in the heat of battle. It's not easy to have clear visual reference from above say 5000ft upwards.
That's why communication is key, and in the heat of things errors can happen, if you've ever come under fire walai you'll forget everything you have learnt in training it takes alot of mental strength to coordinate oneself under fire.
We are all blaming NAF, but nobody is looking at the possibility that the signal guys on ground may have mixed up things. The situation is really unfortunate and it's ridiculous and simplistic to think the pilots have being compromised.
Wherever they're now they'll be feeling terrible at the incident that happened.
Maybe NAF needs to start investing in Forward Air Controller (FAC) courses, plus radios, for some members of it's Regiment, and embed them with Army units so as to enable them call in accurate air strikes.

If we are to rate the policemen in third world countries, The NPF will be one of the most corrupt, one of the most disorganize and one of the most clueless police force in third world countries.

The way dem dey collect bribes for road without any shame nah wetin dey make me always wander pass grin
Well, the NPF is rated as the WORST Police Force in Africa, so....no shock there.

And yet hoodlums were able to move around from place to place, ransack Iga Idunganran and absconded with the Oba’s staff of office, burn NPA headquarters and other buildings, tried to free prisoners from Ikoyi prisons, burned down police stations, invaded police barracks, and even killed some policemen, etcetera.

What sparked the bloody riots in the 1st place? Is it not the Lekki shootings and the news of the killings that pushed frustrated Nigerians over the edge? You pro govt supporters tend to suffer a lot from short term selective amnesia.

ZONE 13 POLICE HEADQUARTERS DIARY:

POLICE OPERATIVES REPEL ATTACK ON ZONE 13 HEADQUARTERS, UKPO

• Neutralize one of the attackers, recover one GPMG and several ammunition

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force attached to Zone-13 Headquarters, Ukpo, Anambra State have successfully repelled an attack on the Zonal Headquarters by criminal elements in the early hours of today, 19th April, 2021. The attackers, who came in their numbers shooting sporadically in order to gain access to the facility, were repelled by Police personnel on duty who showed profound gallantry in the face of the seemingly overwhelming attack.

Following the inability of the attackers to access the facility, they cowardly threw petrol bombs and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) on vehicles within the periphery of the Headquarters. One of the criminal elements was neutralized during the exchange of gunfire between the Police and the attackers while many of the gang members escaped with gunshots injuries. One L7A2 General-Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG), Ninety-two rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition, one locally-made smoke pistol and an axe were recovered by the Police. Regrettably, two police operatives sustained gunshot injuries and are presently receiving treatment.

The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Police Command, CP Kuryas Monday, fsi, who is also standing in for the Zonal Assistant Inspector General of Police, has commended the Police operatives for putting up a strong resistance against the attackers.

The CP, supported by other senior officers from Zone-13 Headquarters and the State Command, is personally leading a special operation aimed at tracing, identifying and arresting the perpetrators to bring them to book. He also called on proprietors of private and public (including unorthodox) medical facilities in and around Anambra state to admit, but report anyone found seeking medical attention for bullet wounds and related injuries to the nearest police station.

The CP has called on citizens in the State not to panic but to go about their lawful duties. While assuring of the Command’s resolve to re-dominate, reclaim and secure all public spaces as directed by the Inspector General of Police, the CP enjoins members of the public to continue to support the Police with vital and timely information on the activities of criminals and other subversive elements within their respective communities.

I am 100% sure that France intelligence and the CIA were involved in the coup but it seems the former president has many loyalists that is why his son was given power.

I don't believe the personal body hatched the plot, he was just a tool to achieve the plot.

This is a prime example why most African leaders always want their tribesmen as body guards or closest confidant when they are in power, it is for their protection, i don't blame them, i understand the need to protect themselves from the jealousy of rivalry.
I don't think so. Derby was an extremely strong ally of the west in the battle against Islamic terrorism in our region. Even the French provided logistical support against the rebel group during the operation where Derby was killed.

My Brother,

Teleco in Nigeria has a flat structure. What i mean is that the growth path is not there unless someone resigns, gets sacked or dies can you get an opening. Then over 2,000 people will apply for the role.

There is no promotion based on performance like banking.

Look before you leap
Bros, that is absolutely untrue. The growth potential is there, and the pay, especially in the major service providers, is extremely good.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Should I Leave My Bank Job For A Chinese Owned Multinational Telecoms Company? by ocelot2006(m): 12:17am On Apr 15, 2021
I assume it's either Huawei or ZTE. Well, if you're in a technical field (telecoms), working in those Chinese coys MAY not be a bad idea as you'll definitely gain the necessary technical experience required to break into the big Mobile Service Providers (Airtel, MTN, Glo, etc), and that's where the big money is. Keep in mind that bank jobs are quite volatile with zero job security.

Good news for Jihadists, bad news for the rest of the world.

Afghanistan will once again become the breeding ground for new Islamic sects

Over $3 trillion wasted.
So US troops should be stationed there forever? The deployment there is costing the USA billions of dollars, and as Biden mentioned, the terror threat has morphed into something else. Maybe you've not been following the attacks in Africa, Mozambique (,Patra) in particular. Or our own conflict in Nigeria with Boko Haram and ISWAP plus bandits terrorizing up North with surplus Libyan conflict weapons flowing down through conflicts zones in Mali and Niger. And don't forget the brewing conflict in eastern europe with the Russians massing massive troop numbers and equipment at the Ukrainian border. Tieing up troops in Afghanistan makes no sense at all.

I think I concur with almost everything and join them in suggesting that you start in construction as it is broader. That gives you the opportunity to go through projects before settling for an area of specialization (structural, transport/highway, etc). The building sector, in my opinion, may be a bit too focused for you for now.

When I open my pot and see it filled with the antelope meat I bought when I visited my village 3 days ago, I'm in perpetual joy. Bush meat is far more nutritious than the slow poison called beef. Northerners must understand that we don't lack alternatives for food in the South, we have Chicken, Turkey, Pig, Bush meat in abundance down South! They will only hurt themselves. Even their foodstuffs will rot and they will lose millions! Imagine thinking paupers from Niger, Chad and Cameroon are alternatives to the wealthy south. grin
Plus fish o! Scombia, croaker, catfish, stockfish, etc. Equally add shrimps/crayfish, crabs, etc. The South is truly blessed.

Crime › Re: Nigeria To Take Delivery Of The First Batch Of JF-17 Fighters From Pakistan Soon by ocelot2006(m): 10:13am On Mar 01, 2021
kayjay69:
Actually for bandits, you don't need this type of fighter jet. A fighter helicopter in the mould of an Apache or a Hind would suffice cos it is slower moving compared to a fighter jet and it can hit ground targets with better precision.

Also, the JF17 is an omni-role fighter, it remains to be seen if the ones in service with the NAF will be adapted for ground based operations. Last I checked, bandits/herdsterrorist/BH don't have fighter jets, we don't need a JF17 against them, an attack chopper would do just fine.
I think you meant Attack Helicopter, not "fighter helicopter". Also the JF17 is a multi-role combat aircraft. 'never heard of "omni-role fighter" before. That said, we actually need the JF17. It is a modern, yet cheap, 4th Gen combat aircraft that has successfully proven itself in combat and can be tasked with different roles depending on the mission, from protection of our airspace (intercepts) to combat air support (CAS)/ground attack roles. This is the platform we should've gone for a long time ago instead of the F-7Ni.
