The bank should reverse a successful transaction?..do you know why the account was frozen in the first place?
And besides there are different types of freeze. Maybe his is a post-no-debit...meaning he can receive and not send out.
We are always quick to blame the banks.

What if the man is a fraudster and his account was frozen cause of this? Imagine him telling his customer the money is gone. Speaks volumes.

Please understand that most banks are working with 1/3 of their staff strength due to this pandemic. They too need to observe social distancing. They are humans.

Also, note that breaking your debit card does solve anything. You will still be charged for card maintenance if the card is not blocked.

Looking for great customer service?...UBA is the best. They don’t steal from you. I use them too.
If you get a debit you don’t understand, ask their customer service and they’ll explain. At least they have accessible channels where you can lodge a complaint.
