Unfortunately addiction is not what online comment can stop, everyone will advise you but your dopamine will torture you the moment you try to stop the habit.

Unfortunately those urges is way stronger than you, until you fight it with a stronger addiction.

Two things that can stop addiction is ADDICTION AND THE ADDICTED.

Nairaland is the worse place anyone should seek for help... I don't pray to be in a situation whereby I will have to solicitate for help on Nairaland. If it gets to that stage, I'll peacefully end my life.

You're right bro, before I move to Lagos I used to think Ajegunle is a very dangerous and unsecured place. It wasn't until I moved to Lagos and spent some years in some areas in lagos before I realized you'll likely get rob in lekki than Ajegunle.

We all have our views, but we should not have the view to deprive another of life. What if they want to live, too? Why should we play God?

You have been on point, though.
I'm placing myself in the shoe of the child, that's what I would have want my parents to do to me.

BRATISLAVA:
So many disabled people will disagree with you.

You see, they have a deeper understanding of life. Otherwise they wouldn't try so hard to keep living and integrate. They have dreams of getting married and having their own children. They want to do big things.

Yes, they are aware that they look different and have difficulties in day to day life. But I realized they are happier at their core with acceptance. The same way you've gotten used to your face and your intrinsic disadvantages, is the same way they've gotten over theirs.

To you who is 'perfect' that is not a life with living. To them, it's theirs to treasure and live.

This baby should be given a chance at life. Let us see what value he will place on it.
That's your own point of view and what I said is my own point of view, we can't all stand at same view point.
Family › Re: Rwandan Dad Calls His Deformed Baby 'Devil Spawn', Tells Wife To Kill Him (Pics) by Offpoint1: 7:46pm On Aug 28, 2021
BRATISLAVA:
All disabled people face abuse worldwide. I have seen some sustained abuse on a guy with some problems I won't state.

But it's his family support system that matters the most.
These are humans, they have dreams and ambitions just like the rest of us. They should have a fair chance at life, too. Nobody deserves death because of how they are born. His mother needs encouragement and intervention from an aid organization. His father ought to have helped him.

Even if people are emotionally dead, they can see least learn empathy. The comments here are too disgusting.
I'm speaking from my own point of view. If I was that deformed at birth and my parents let me grew to the stage of self awareness, I'll spend my whole life hating and resenting them.
Ending me at birth would had been the greatest love they showed me.
Family › Re: Rwandan Dad Calls His Deformed Baby 'Devil Spawn', Tells Wife To Kill Him (Pics) by Offpoint1: 7:37pm On Aug 28, 2021
BRATISLAVA:
The funny thing is that people who live like this don't seek suicide as much as the physically "perfect" ones.

We can't tell what value he will see in life, if given a chance at it.

There are more people with worse defects than this, or similar ones, and they haven't committed suicide. They live through the abuse and see value that we can never.
Those are people from a working society who understands emotions, unlike Africa which they'll be named all kinds of things.

SimplyFacts:
Pitifully, our people don't like truth, yet they won't wish to birth such a pikin. That would have saved the child from much pain. Though killing a strange being is not so easy, if he's one.
Keeping this baby alive to me is worse than death... It'll traumatized the mother daily and the child will be in pain daily. If he manages to grow to the stage of self awareness, that will even be worse. He'll suffer alot abuses and rejections leading to daily constant emotional trauma and possible suicide at the end.
Family › Re: Rwandan Dad Calls His Deformed Baby 'Devil Spawn', Tells Wife To Kill Him (Pics) by Offpoint1: 7:08pm On Aug 28, 2021
I know it might sound heartless, but ending it at birth would save the baby, mother and father all traumas.

Wonders shall never end undecided undecided cry. How I wish my husband was invited to this trade fair. He can so fart for Africa. In fact, he will so drag his fart very loudly and annoying to nearly a minute making both high and low pitch tones with it. I usually tell him he sings with his anus. I keep wondering how people do this. I always advise him to go for check up that he's not healthy. At the end of the disgusting act, he will say, "no vex, mess no get toilet, you don ever hear anybody say, excuse me, I want to goan mess?" Very irritating act
LOL your hubby is a real G... Love him for that.

Did he give the Suya to someone else to take to his family?

Fashion › Re: Nigeria's Hipster Herders - The Funky Fulanis by Offpoint1: 8:19am On Jul 26, 2021
Not every fulani is a killer, those who have traveled around the world view things differently from those who spend their entire lives in one state or region.

The Hausas are kind people
The fulanis, the igbos, the yorubas and every people.

Even in heaven there are bad angels, hence there wouldn't be such thing as the "Devil" today.

Tribalism is spread mainly by people who spend most of their lives within their region.

Romance › Re: April 21 2008: Worst Day Ever! Share Yours. by Offpoint1:
Mine was March 2004 when I lost my grandmom, that was the only person who died and the entire villages that local government cried. She was a mother to everyone, when it comes to giving she was the greatest giver I've ever seen till date. She had almost 15 farms and during harvest, she gave to all widows, youths, homeless, church and school teachers.

During her burial, it was one of the greatest I've witnessed. 5 rooms wasn't enough to content gifts from the whole communities.

I cried like it was the end of my life, they used to call me her "hand bag", she literally took me everywhere she goes.

Omo it took more than a year to accept she was truly dead, in fact it was until I saw her in my dream and she told me "she's never coming back to but she's always with me" before I finally let go.

2nd was Dec 12 2008 when I lost my uncle I've been staying with since I lost my grandmom, I hurt me so badly cause of the pains he went through before he died.

I'm not a believer of spiritual attacks, but I witness with him. A man who was doing well in his business, one night exactly 12am we heard screaming "My head, my head"
That was the beginning of his problems, within a month we've visited almost all hospitals and churches in Nigeria, all his properties including land sold. Funny enough, all test carried out non came out with results.

All he complained of his headache, once it's 12am he literally cried like a baby, you can feel the heat coming out from his head... It hurts he had to die after everything he had was sold in search of solutions.

May they continue to RIP

bros when you have more than two people you dont call them musical duos, we say musical group e.g infinity, west life, plantashun boiz, style plus but when they are just two, you can say musical duo e.g p square, bracket, kc presh, danfo drivers etc
Thanks for corrections, though "group" is used for live bands musicians.
