I'm very sure his wife gets up in the morning to go to work just like him and as such they should split the house chores equally. Instead of doing as if he's doing his wife a favor by cooking for her.

So the main issue that led to me denying her food this night.

I asked her for the two of us to go and get ingredients for food, she said she's having serious headache so I went alone.

When I came back I washed the rice and put it on fire and I also start grinding the pepper and tomatoes with manual grinder.

After few minutes when the rice was done I asked my wife to go and put down the rice from fire, and fried the stew afterwards.

She just started shouting she's so tired, her head is hot and making hefty sounds inside that she can't stand up from this bed.

I insisted and she went to put the rice down and off the gas, instead of her to start frying the stew. She just came and meet me on the bed.

And she started shouting I didn't tell you am hungry, am not even eating this night at all. Do whatever you want to do, I'll never stand up to make any stew in this house. If you want to eat go and make the stew yourself.

I just stood up and enter the kitchen to make the stew. As I was making the stew, my wife that said she's not feeling fine was busy watching film om her phone. She complained earlier that her head is hefty and aching her that she can't stand up from the bed, but she stood up and start looking for the BT Audio to connect to her phone so that she'll be able to hear the film audio very well.

Immediately I finished making thr stew, I served the food on the table and the next my wife wanted to stood up from the bed to join on the table so that we can eat.

I just told her that You can never eat from this food this night and tomorrow morning, because you were the one that said you were not hungry that I was troubling you to make food.

I also told her that the headache allow you br watching films and also allow you to be looking for BT Audio. But denied you to cook for me.

So house I want to know if this is right or wrong pls or what can I do.

BTW I have cooked many times in the house, there are times she'll go to work before she comes back I'll have prepare good foods, that will atimes takes me 2 or more hours to prepare and she'll come back and eat and smile and say thank you. I use to get home between 5pm and 6pm latest, while she'll be coming home by 7pm, 8pm or latter.

At times the two of us may be at home and I'll be the only one cooking, while she'll just lie down watching films or doing another thing while I do the while cooking.

I think I have being helpful to her in cooking and other chores in the house. There are many times I'll be the one washing all the clothes in the house, while she's sleeping or doing something else.

I literally do almost 80% of everything in the house if not more than.

But me doing all those doesn't mean am a fool or I don't know what am doing.

Bit I think as a man you have to man up.

In your example, how can a man and wife (two people) hit, tackle to the ground and beat the crap out of a 15 year old. Like 2 people to one person? Even if she was an adult and not their daughter, two people to one is an unfair situation.

What Nigerians and Africans refuse to learn is that violence destroys a country. See how all the violent countries are experiencing reduced GDP compared to those that are not. Africans will continue to create and breed monsters.

It will be very easy for a 15 year boy to rape and beat up a 6 year old child because he has been beaten to the point of trauma he feels its not a big deal, his mother's has beaten the house help to stupor, and his father has beaten his mother to stupor so violence is a part of life.

Yes boss, UNICEF made mention of that child welfare but it's as if they are only in Lagos. That police lady made me angry I wanted to insult her cause as a mother she suppose to know how it feels when a child is suffering.

My Story goes like dis, I love dis girl so much and can't really do without her, well before I met her I never believed in true love but it hurt me so much to be suffering all in d name of love.

She took in and lied to me dat am responsible for it and I was very sure that am not responsible for it, I carried out a research and later discover dat it was a friend of mine who helped me in wooing her dat got her pregnant, I even went to d extent of confronting my friend which he admitted to be true and pleaded that I should forgive him, which I did.. Funniest part, I gave her money to get rid of it becuz my friend couldn't afford it. I also confronted her about the pregnancy of a thing, she never admitted d truth.
I let everything died down and never bothered asking her again.
Thought! She played fast one on me, I still continued loving her..... What trigger me most recently....I saw her with a ring, I was shocked.
I asked her about it and she told me that it's just a promised a ring, dat it was her boyfriend who gave her and not that she love him, he force it on her. (Yes) am aware of the guy. But d girl parent do not approve of their relationship but dey are still in touch.

She promise to stick by me that I should give her sometimes to get rid of d guy first, dat d guy happened to be her first love and is going to take time to get rid of him completely.

I kept moot about it.......

From a close friend of mine, I heard she's still in touch with dat friend of mine who got her pregnant.... Dey are secretly dating.

I have spent a token on her but I regretted ever dating her.


Am thinking of breaking up with her today.{ that's if I had courage to do so}

So guys there is this kid in my lodge of about 15 years and the father and the girlfriend are maltreating him very badly, earlier when the father wasn't dating this girl the father was so close to the child all of a sudden things fall apart.

To the extent of sending him out at night (11 pm) to fetch water from Jack pump through the bushes. Ever since the father start dating that girl the child stop school, always fetching water the part that pains me most is that the girl pour this water away on the floor and send this boy back to get water. To the extent people starts chasing him to go rest that it's too much, even the father went there for a day once with his shuttle bus and came back complaining it's too stressful that's he is not going there again talkless of the child.

The father left this boy with tooth problem, refuse to treat him if not pressure from the neighbors. The man spent #20000 to treat the boy and that same girl said the child will not eat because of the money the father spent for his treatment.

My girlfriend was the one who gave the child money for food, the father drove this boy out of the house and one of the neighbors was the one who carried the boy to her shop.

The women in my lodge got angry and confronted her.

Now the father is saying we should leave the child for him and if he wants to kill him it's his business.

I call the police to let them know what happened and what the woman told me was "Oga leave them if he one kill he pikin make he kill am na him pikin".

I am just so disappointed in the Police force and this country as a whole.

Finally I will do my best to support the child and I will struggle hard to leave this country by all means cause we are headed no where am just really pissed off I almost insulted the police woman but I just remain calm.

Actually typing this with a heavy heart and so much disgust for what I've done.. wish I had handled the situation better.

My father is the best man I could ever wish for and if I had another chance to pick a dad again in my next life, I'll pick a richer version of him but my mom?? Sigh!
However growing up with them was so stressful in every way u can think of.. my dad was the meek type, soft spoken and slow to react but my mom would always complain about everything, she fights everything and everyone.. never afraid of any form of confrontation, she would complain about my hairstyle, she would check if I sagged my trousers.. she monitored me extremely and always nagged about it.. I'm this typa guy who is well cultured, I wouldn't say I got that from home training tho cos I do not drink, smoke nor womanize... And I think it's d joy of every parent to have child like me, I basically had no friends visiting me then and even up till now. I've got trust issues that's why I don't keep friends.. my mom made my youthful days hell for me, I didn't really enjoy it.. times I spent with her were miserable as she would shout everyday, quarrel even over phone conversations that you would think the person she's fighting with was right in front of her.. and some times I even pity my dad whenever she starts with him. I developed some sorta hatred for her

Lately I've been spending more time with them cos of our last born just so I could keep an eye on him and we stayed close too.. and the way she treats him makes me wonder if she was the one gave birth to him, if I was away when she was pregnant for him and delivered.. I would have argued that she was his mother. There were times that I had to pass the night there and her voice or rants would be what will wake me up very early in the morning just as it used to be when I used to be there...

I used to think that as people grow old, they become calmer but that isn't the case with my mom, she's more violent... She lost her twin sis last year March and I sincerely hoped that would change atleast but iro nio... Her other sisters aren't even speaking to her at the moment. My dad was a musician.. old age won't allow him continue doing music, coincidentally I picked up that barton.. been doing the same music(live musician) all my life but my mom has always been against it.. she was never happy whenever I carry my dad's guitar to rehearse or whenever I bring a piano home.. it was always war...

Been there since last weekend cos of the poor electricity in my area.. we have had power for about 7 days now.. Had gone for a studio session, only to return in d evening and I was greeted with shouting over a very trivial issue, I was so angry that I responded to every of her verbal insults.. and then she hit me and I reciprocated which I felt so bad about almost immediately.. she dragged me by my clothes shouting that I must kill her again, by that time.. my anger had subdued and all I had on my mind was to leave the house immediately. She threatened to arrest me.. She tore my shirt and I managed to pull away from her.. and left without picking my stuffs. All my life, I have never raised up my hands to hit a woman talkless of my mom.. I don't even beat kids when they do wrong, I hate to see tears.. I know it's a disgraceful thing to do. I've got no excuse for what I've done whatsoever. I even avoid confrontations with my own gender sef cos I know what I'm capable of. I'm always quick to say the word sorry just to avoid prolonged issues. I had been offline since it happened, just came here to drop this and I know how much insults I'm gonna get here anyway but we learn everyday and will surely pick the ones that will make me a better person.. no one's perfect
