jp philips: you so called hard facts is a total insult to my intelligence who for the past 13yrs has been very close to the Nigerian oil industry. i have chosen to forgive you because as someone that reads the news to profess blind support, that above is what is expected of you, and believe it or not, your salary is in the waiting for the month end.

back to your lies.

the bold part of your first paragraph in summary is saying that Madueke, by appointing a new secretary and instructing NNPC will reduce pet products imports in the country and also inviting more indigenous players in the down stream sector?

who are you selling that crap to? are you informed at all? not even madueke nor her new secretary has the pragmatic means to achieve that, about the invited indigenous companies, that is the funniest because you may be referring to Seplat and nest oil that have oil production license, yet the corruption of jonathan never allowed them to make a single investment on ground rather SPDC was intimidated to bequeath their assets in the west to them.is that supposed to be an achievement? no extra jobs? just choppings for the execu thieves and you want me to clap?

are those guys not the same political cronies, sub set of corruption? is that what you are passing on as achievement? did you hear that the indigenous players are building refineries? or how exactly does madueke want to cut import with out local production?

abeg continue your propaganda but leave oil and gas alone,

you second paragragh is a total beer parlor n0nsense,

in summary you are claiming that EXXON's oil lease license was renewed. how is that an achievement? why did yaradua threaten to revoke those license? reason one

flaring? has exxon stopped flaring? no!! exxon good day programme still flares a whooping 6.5mcf of gas annually and madueke renewed those license? when yaradua was threatening to send them away with CNPC taking over?

second reason yaradua gave was local partnership in contracts

exxon NALCo alliace is a total conflict of interest and while yaradua was threatening withdrawal your madueke is renewing license, well, they said she was bribed, what do you say? achievements indeed

about the gas supply agreement, is it not an affront to the Nigerian tax payers that the federal Government has no workable MOU with Gas owners before shooting off the NIPP? shouldn't you be ashamed that the NIPP and subsequent transmission contracts has gulped over 12billion usd in the past 6yrs without an existing MOU?

do you run your family that way? you spend 12bn usd first before you sign an agreement to get gas? what exactly will you fire the plants with? sperm?

don't you know that by having a multi billion dollar plants on ground, you have lost the leverage on that MOU negotiation? wait till you see the price of that gas before you tell me that confused madueke achieved something.

do you know that the gas sellers are considering 2.3usd for 1cuft? lol you wouldn't know what those goons have done to you till you take to the streets again, achievement indeed, madueke is busy selling the country and submitting the change to jonathan and you come here to shout achievement. lol

oga chairman, since you know all thats happenen in the oil and gas sector, what effort have you taken to save the situation apart from sitting behind your laptop and BACKBITE.

Never heard of these words "think not what your country can do for you but, what you can do for your country"

Abeg go sidown ojareee ! !

texazzpete: You're wasting your time. it is well within GEJ's established modus operandi to claim credit for the work of his predecessors.

That was how he

1) Claimed credit for the railway revitalisation programme which was spearheaded by Yar'Adua
2) Claimed credit for the Amnesty programme - again a brainchild of President Yar'Adua
3) Tries to claim credit for the PIB - Started by his predecessor, nearly killed by his administration
pls with all due respect to yar adua (rip). It would be really daft to give credit to him for the amnesty programme and exclude jonathan. You think the militants where ready to backdown to a northerner? Jonathan played a major role in the amnesty programme. You can't take that from him.

Why do you think he was quick to defend mend on the oct 1st bombing.becus He had known them and a concrete agreement had been reached.

Frankie9ice: @Johndoe,...joining issues wit u is a waste of time & space. Its unbeliever any Nigerian wud claim dia's an anti-corruption crusade going on. We all know its a ruse. Mark my words,....no fuel susbidy rogue wud spend a single day in prison (dir so called trial 2day is meant to decieve d masses). D Malibu Oil block scam is also dia (1billion dollars plus). And electricity supply,....see we all know GEJ CAN'T achieve anything impactful in goverance even if he were to be president for 40yrs uninterrupted. Johndoe pls go get a life,....u were paid to write dis pathetic stuff!
Oga, sorry to say sir, but you're very D D D D DA DA DAFFT.
If you don't understand the Nigerian political system, its best you keep mute. Now let me tell crystal clear that, on the two occasions the house had treathen to impeach the president had always been on the fight against corruption. First durimg Obj's tenure he latter sent them ghana must go to calm the situation. And now GEJ's. But the shoeless fisherman is not shakken by the aimless threats WHALAII. Let them carry on, we will see the end.

Concerning those been prosecuted on corruption, the end of the road is sure. Jail or no jail, truelly they all may not go to jail, but all stolen would be recovered, and an end brought to all their underground acts.

But farook is certainly heading for kirikiri.

You've not seen s***t. despite the security situations which we all know is orchestrated by some individuals, this administration is still making progress. And will make masive progress.

My Broda there is a great point to argue about oooooo...If you are experiencing good electricity supply in your area then try to find out what is happening in other areas before you draw conclusion. In my area in Lagos, it has been pathetic that i just ignored paying the over bloated bill they sent to me last month. In fact, when the PHCN officials came for disconnection,i was glad they came and met me at home that fateful morning. I just told them to help me remove my wires from the pole because it`s of no consequence; if i had access to a lather to climb they would not have met the wires up there because i would have done it my self. The situation is just bad here that sometimes for a week you will only have electricity supply for six hours.I can only score the President performance on electricity supply GOOD when i start having regular supply in my area.
sir, to me this is a good post. Score as you see. In my area it has improved, and i know with time, it would get to urs.

Let every man speak for himself or for others where need be.

maclatunji: What the Federal Government should be doing in Lagos is building more "Apapa-Oshodi" expressways not doing an awful job of patching the current one and listing it as an achievement!
sir, you have began to annoy me seriously. Did i hear you say PATCHING, who in lagos state doesn't know that its the fashola boys that consistently patch roads. Same roads every 3 months. They just PATCHED MY STREET UP FOR THE SECOND TIME THIS YEAR. And with the little rain again its all gone. We're expecting them for a repatch before the year runs out. Credit to them anyway, its their little way of siphoning money from the govt. Again refering to the word patching is an insult to Julius berger. Soo all julius berger's doing on oshodi apapa road is patching.

Oga dem go soon sack you ooh.

maclatunji: Open a thread asking that question and see the answers you will get. The slow pathetic progress being made on Apapa-Oshodi expressway which is not being expanded by the way is a disgrace to even Julius Berger.

Drive through to Oshodi and you will be disgusted on several levels.
who told you its a disgrace to julius Berger, do you work with them?
When the need arise to expand that road, it would be done. I would rather suggest the state govt work on all other subroads exiting and entering this road. That would help to an extent. And lagocians would really appreciate.

The adjoning roads are the real problems now sir.

philip0906: You arr trying 2 play smart. . .What improved power supply are u talking about? Power generation has always hovered around 3600 megawatts right 4rm the obj era and its still the status quo as we are yet to get past 4500 megawatts.Electricity generation presently stands @ 3800 megawatts(confirmed by Aganga) so my friend keep deceiving yourself. . .
thank you for you good analysis but you forgot to add consistency.
The 3800megawatt is now more consistent than before.

Its no more flunctuating btw 1000 - 3600MW.
Cosistency should first be achieved before you can grow, isn't that right sir ?

maclatunji: No! You want to know what massive reconstruction is, go to the Lagos-Badagry Expressway. Now, that is what I call "massive reconstruction". What is happening on Apapa-Oshodi expressway is an insult to Nigerians. The rate of work done so far is slow and not very impressive when compared to what happened to Agege Motor road, Western Avenue and Lagos Island Central Business District (CBD).
but its undergoing reconstruction, u've answered my question.
Secondly, you said massive construction for the lagos badagry road. But last time i passed that road had not gotten towards festac 3rd gate, and its running to the 3rd year now or fouthsef soo what is massive about it.

maclatunji: The supporter said Oshodi-Apapa Expressway is an achievement of GEJ. Is it not the same road that the service lane from Cele bus stop to Second Rainbow bus stop has been abandoned by motorists and has now been colonized by mushroom driving schools who use it as a "safe" training ground for their clients because they are sure no vehicle commuting can make progress there?

The service lane from Oshodi Isale to Oshodi Oke has become Jagidijagan road. Whenever it rains a third of the road from Oshodi towards Charity is useless causing traffic jam.

Let me guess, the contract has been awarded abi? Do you know how many times the "contract has been awarded" before?

Don't upset me this evening O. PHCN? No sustained remarkable difference in electricity supply over the months but tariff is now as high as Olumo rock. Ok O.

PoliticsRe: Subsidy Probe: Suspects Warn GEJ To Stop Prosecution by oiseworld: 12:52pm On Jul 27, 2012
Kobojunkie: ONCE AGAIN . . . ..

I think I am clear in what I said.
In 2011, the total spent on subsidy, according to Okonjo-Iweala, was in the ballpark of Naira 1.3 Trillion. However, according to the same woman, by June of 2011, the Nation had already exhausted the Naira 888 Billion allocated for subsidy for this year( that's in about 5 months). And all this during the same time this same Government has continually claimed that it has been working hard at CLOSING UP ALL HOLES to stop the thieves from continuing to loot the system. So, you tell me . . on the way to solving corruption by removing subsidy, right?

Also, Jonathan did not come up with the "TOTAL SUBSIDY REMOVAL" plan. That plan has been in since Obasanjo era, and it was eventually decided it would be done in phases. I am not sure of what you mean by Before election. The only person that stopped total subsidy removal was Jonathan Goodluck himself. From his refusal to investigate the current situation to at least present the Nigerian people with solid evidence that total removal was needed, to his refusal to investigate the payments that had been made. All that contributed a greater deal to the non-success of his plan.

I don't see why you should now pretend it was all everybody else's fault and that the plan was perfect. Jonathan waited till right after the Election to swing the subsidy removal plan on Nigerians. Even After months of calls for investigation, especially calls that cited the KPMG reveals, the administration ALL OUT REFUSED TO INVESTIGATE, to at least PROVE to the people that whatever suffering that may come would not be in vain.
Okonjo Iweala in on record to have made silly statements suggesting that Nigerian poor did not benefit at all from subsidy and so an increase would not affect them that much. It is even claimed that she said most transport units run on diesel and so would not be affected in anyway. We all know that was all balderdash as no sooner had the prices at the pumps increased than the poor Nigerians started to realize they were in for serious hardship if nothing was done immediately. If you are not aware of what happened in January, even in parts of the country where people refused to protest, please use google to your advantage.

Like I said before.
kobo, even TB Joshua doesn't have a solution to your problem of being atracted to d negative.

Least i ask, are uin Nigeria or u're far away somewhere washing plates, because its ovious you're not abrest with the Nigerian economy.

Kobojunkie: um . . . . what has the one to do with the other? The prosecution of those listed had been recommended for months, but the process was delayed for some unknown reason. Now that it is finally being done, why are you trying to suggest that the impeachment attempts, which came after months of shouts that those listed be prosecuted and those found guilty made to pay back every single dime, came as a result of the prosecutions? Are you sure you are not the one in need of some help here?
