catchfun:Oga Fayose, which "technical" explanation are you expecting from a technically paranoid human being like Lai Mohammed? The man is technically wicked. |
kaorama:My brother, it's just a matter of time. Lai Mohammed will definitely burn his fingers and shoot Buhari's govt in the leg. |
Hammefeez:Which song was that and who danced to the music? Are you referring to the propaganda confessional music composed by the Nation Newspaper and Sahara Reporters? Believe whatever you like. OK? |
kaorama:While I concur with many of the points you raised, I think Olisa Metu and the PDP leadership have done a good job by not playing politics with insurgency and lives of fellow citizens unlike what Lai Mohammed and APC did when they were in opposition. The party had made its position on security well spelt out from the onset. |
Hammefeez:Stop that rant. Is Buhari now placing himself in the position of a god? Wait and see how he and his puppets in DSS or EFCC would disgrace themselves eventually. Do you think this is a military era when people can be jailed at will? Please! |
Anybody that takes this govt and its officials serious is just wasting his time. Here's a petroleum minister who claimed it would be difficult for his govt to finance building of new refineries at its estimated unit cost of $2.5billion now making us to believe that subsidy has been stopped. With Nigeria's four refineries' total daily production capacity of 10,000,000 litres(when fully turned around), how would they augment the remaining shortfall of 30,000,000 daily consumption without paying subsidy to oil marketers knowing fully that NNPC doesn't have the capacity to meet up with local demand. More importantly, what happens if international crude price suddenly jumps to as much as $100/litre tomorrow, does it mean Nigerians would he forced to pay as much as N150/litre? The govt should swallow its pride and tell Nigerians the whole truth about the subsidy regime. Trying to scratch it on the surface is a time bomb waiting to explode. |
Saraki will not allow a sleeping dog to rest. Mark my words, the way they will unleash EFCC, ICPC , DSS, CIVIL DEFENCE, CCB and Lai Mohammed on him from this week will be monumental. It seems Saraki enjoys been used as sacrificial lamb by APC. |
1freshdude:Guy, I initially decided not to reply you further on this thread but it seems your folly is second to none. How in your mindlessness could you assert that 'evil forces can do good to the benefit of Nigerians"? Gosh! Where in history has evil begotten good? For your information, no agents of evil that parade themselves as agents of light really mean well for any society. They come to steal. destroy and to kill. APC is evil and mark my words from today, no good thing can come out from their fold. It's a party of bloodthirsty, violent and covetous personalities. |
BushidoBlue:It's disheartening how some educated minds (so to say) on Nairaland and elsewhere mischievously misconstrue any criticism of Buhari's govt as campaign for Jonathan. The man has completed his mission as an ex president but the focus is now on Buhari as the sitting president. Nobody can gag or prevent us from putting this govt on its toes. We'll not allow APC or Buhari to take us for a ride the way they used lies and propaganda to win elections. Never! |
1freshdude:I have never said diversion of public fund is justifiable. My point is that Buhari's APC was (and is still) the worst culprit. All the rots PDP is been accused of are prevalent in APC. Simple. |
1freshdude:I have responded to this assertion severally in my previous posts. There's is no proof that the $2.1billion was entirely meant for the fight against insurgency. Where is the proof that all Security Votes by APC governors were(are) used to protect lives and property in their respective States? I don't condone corruption under any guise but Buhari is only using the arms probe to score cheap political points. I am not a novice as far as Nigerian politic is concerned. |
1freshdude:No sir. The fact that Buhari is now in power does not mean it's God that's using him. The Israelites of old pestered God for a king and He reluctantly gave them Saul. It was never the intention of God to unleash Saul on His people but their murmuring forced him to do so. No nation moves forward under a sentimental and selective leader. |
ubah84:Thank you. A fool for an equitable, just and egalitarian Nigeria. |
1freshdude:The character of the person responsible for his ouster was inconsequential. God can use anybody to achieve his aims. The most important thing was that Buhari was booted out in 1985 due to his selective justice and highhandedness. |
1freshdude:I only used the bible reference to buttress my points wherein I explained the consequence of selective justice. I agree with you that we hardly follow the dictates of the bible in Nigeria. |
1freshdude:No sir. One of the reasons he was booted out in 1985 was accusation of selective justice and withchhunt. Remember repeated incarceration of those acquitted for corruption by Tribunals in Buhari's first stint as head of state? Remember when he put Shagari in house arrest but bundled his deputy (Ekwume) to Kirikiri? That's selective justice and witchhunt. It eventually led to his downfall. |
themilanway:Iwo ati gbogbo idile e ni oponu. I am not derailing any thread, my response was a rejoinder to a question asked by one the commentators. Use your head. |
1freshdude:Thank you my brother. That's a very good question. Selective justice is not in the interest of Nigeria or Nigerians. Its consequence can be dire and that's one of the reasons Nigeria has been unstable politically and economically. Remember the prophet Samuel in the Bible? He engaged in selective judgement at a point in his life when he decided to overlook the atrocities of his children but concentrated on other peoples' sins. Do you know the consequence? God's wrought was unleashed on his family and the children died mysteriously. That's the consequence of selective justice. It's a whirlwind that blows no one any good. |
themilanway:And I am making you to know (through my thread) that the President's assertion lacks logic. As a former military ruler, Buhari himself knows that there is no justification whatsoever for mutiny in the Army. The consequence is death. |
themilanway:Rubbish. Under whose watch was N78million and N300million stolen in Lagos under questionable Website and Borehole construction? Did Buhari act on petitions submitted against Fashola before been made minister? Under whose watch did looting spree take place in the defunct PTF? Please, please and please! |
1freshdude:Buhari is not only making unnecessary noise, he's just using the arms saga as a coverup for his cluelessness in governance. Did Buhari query the source(s) of funds used to bring him to power? Where did he get the money used to finance his Jet travels all over Nigeria throughout the campaigns? What was the source of funds used by APC to finance its activities while in opposition? I can confidently tell you that APC governors used part of their SECURITY VOTES to finance party activities including Buhari's campaigns and "repackaging". How did Tinubu source the fund he deplored for the emergence of Buhari in their so called primaries? Did you know that delegates from the north did not vote for Buhari but he emerged "victorious" from the manipulation of Southern delegates? We are not saying corruption is good but Buhari's APC do not, I repeat, do not have any credential to fight corruption. |
Stealing was never responsible for mutiny in the Army. Pls read the post carefully. How much did APC governors and its leadership steal to bring Buhari to power? If Buhari really hate corruption with passion, he shouldn't be seen associating with it . It's only in our country where thieves crucify thieves. |
themilanway:I am 100% sure that many reasonable and sane Nairalanders truly know who's a fool between you and me. May you continue to live with foolery all the days of your life. |
luvinhubby:God bless you. Truth will continue to be your path to success in life. Nobody is supporting corruption but Buhari must stop using past govt's shortcomings as excuse for his incompetence. I feel for some of the loyal soldiers but under no circumstance should they point guns at their superiors. It's never allowed in the military. |
themilanway:What's wrong with you for God's sake? Is it down to lack of intuitive reasoning for people like you to attach Jonathan sentiment to every post? Jonathan has done his bit. He didn't cite past regimes' shortcomings for inability to perform in office. So Buhari should get down to business and stop excuses. That's is the context of my thread. OK? |
CltrAltDel:Read the piece all over again and report back to us if you can't find the reasons. |
themilanway:Then you must have performed woefully in English Comprehension during your WAEC days. |
Ordinarily, this adminstration ought to be completely ignored whenever it embarks on its usual stock-in-trade i.e the blame games but allowing Buhari to get away with his escapist excuses would do more harm than good to the Nigerian nation. It's a height of recklessness for a sitting president (who was an ex head of state) to justify mutiny in the Army under the excuse of arms diversion. Nowhere in the world is mutiny condoned under any circumstance even if soldiers were asked to fight with bare hands. The worst thing a serving soldier can do when confronted with maltreatment from his immediate boss (a GOC for that matter), is to point guns at him under provocation. In the military, that's absolute TREASON. For the avoidance of doubt; 1. Not all the funds allocated for the fight against Boko haram were meant for arms purchase. 2. It's the prerogative of GOCs and other military heads to determine when arms are deployed. 3. There was no time during Jonathan's administration that military chiefs complained of lack of arm as a result of fund diversion. 4. The last administration would go down in history as the first to procure state of the art equipment for the military. All its predecessors (including Buhari's regime) had done otherwise. 5. The Nigerian military historically was never prepared logistically (through training, intelligence gathering, counter insurgency tactics etc) to fight terrorism. The menace is alien to our shores. 6. Sabotage from northern elements using disgruntled disloyal members of the armed forces was largely responsible for lukewarmness and desertions experienced throughout Jonathan's fight against insurgency. 7. If Buhari was so concerned about the carnage unleashed on Nigeria by Boko haram, why did he decline to negotiate with the sect when he was nominated as their sole negotiator? Maybe if he had done so, Boko haram would have been history. 8. Unguided utterances including the one made by Buhari when he openly tagged the fight against Boko haram as a fight against the north was largely responsible for soldiers reluctance in taking the insurgents headlong. The president should face the act of governance squarely and assume responsibility instead of incessantly using the past administration's shortcomings (if any) to justify his apparent ineptitude. |
themilanway:Mad goat. Why are you placing yourself on a level you don't belong? Why are you so daft to think I am acting as Jonathan's voice? Did the ex president inform your senile head he's running for presidency again? For the up tenth time, let it sink into your deranged mind that nothing will stop me from taking Buhari's govt to the cleaners whenever it takes us for a ride, not even Zombie rants from people like you. OK? |
Hey! Please stop these putrid rants. How much of "revelations" are religious organizations, social media bloggers, international media, fifth columnists ( in police, DSS and the military), paid internet warriors etc making about how they were used to package Buhari's electoral "victory"? How much did Tinubu spend in bribing delegates to ensure emergence of Buhari in APC's so called arrangee primaries. How much did APC pay to clerics who used mosques to threaten and label Jonathan supporters as infidels? Why are these mischievous characters taking Nigerians for a ride? Bunch of sycophants who will always demonise others while seeking undue relevance. |
themilanway:For your information I don't criticise for criticising sake, it's borne out of my genuine patriotism and the quest for a great nation. Retarded fools like you who fall prey to politicians' foolery will never deter us. Whether Buhari spends 8 years or eternity, it's none of my business. The most important thing is a nation that's governed by sense of purpose and not deceit. OK? Enjoy your rants in 2016. |
Whaoh! A whooping N57.7billion allocated to the Office of National Security Adviser while the DSS got meager N7.6billion. Somebody must be a joker here. How can a govt that spoke so loudly about intelligence gathering through its party before coming to office now relegate the DSS to the background with such paltry sum but chose to allocate close to N58b to NSA's office despite demonising the last administration? I have a feeling that Buhari's administration may end up been the most clueless and corrupt in Nigeria's history. |

Do you remember the person that booted Buhari out? I mean is he your idea of an upright and equitable leader? Is he not a corrupt opportunist? You leave me with more questions
