yoged:https://twitter.com/Goverstraeten/status/1085240598146306048 that thread Notice how we've now kitted BHTs with our body armours. NA just acting as armoury to these bastards. They come when they like to get the weapons and kill some brave soldiers join. Strike and successfully withdraw. |
Watched over 6 minutes of technicals and AA guns completely uprooting the defences of the NIGERIAN BLOODY ARMY. A whole country's army being dealt a bloody nose by a rag tag army. Our leaders will never prosper for the way they misuse funds and embezzle them. Nothing stops these bases from having a T72 each with a lot of MRAPs at strategic defensive positions. And whats the point in sitting in a position like a lame duck without situational awareness that will make 20 BHT techs to encircle a unit and completely over run it. Are we sure we know what we're doing? |
Damn! I just watched the new BHT vid release. My conclusion is that we are disoriented at the frontlines. Nigerian Army are on the backfoot in a lot of these firefights. Whatever BHTs are doing, it is working well for them. Either Buratai gets his acts together or he should be bloody sacked. These soldiers being wasted have families too now. I really hate that we have a general as the president and he is so oblivious to this failings. Damn!!!! Our boys stood zero chance against these BHTs when they attack as swift as that. I can safely conclude that the current Army heads are clueless. |
Schemerkhiz:This face looks familiar now! She is the younger sister of Regina George, the 400m runner. Her dad is an ex athlete for Nigeria and I am quite thrilled she's opted to play for Nigeria, just like her sister. I watched her few years ago when her sister gave her a shout out. One thing I know about her elder sister is high determination. Glad to see the coach invite her. I'm guessing she's a wing back, maybe to test Faith Ikidi's position? |
Nairaland mods need to be extra vigilant this election season. Or is Seun getting money from selling fake news on first page? The opposite of this incidence is what happened. http://www.theinformant247.com/exclusive-red-sunday-in-ilorin-as-hoodlums-attack-apc-members-kill-one-five-injured-over-50-vehicles-vandalised/?fbclid=IwAR3ZU91jN3qpwquh4hbau9v1DCLze8JPPZksSMvZ7-1ljUBI82f6k7AljH4 |
Anam Imo and Amarachi Okoronkwo have both signed for Hungarian top side, Ferencvarosi Torna Club. The team is the top team in Hungary and play in the UEFA champions league. Congratulations girls, congratulations Nasarawa ladies, who will get some extra cash from the deals. They should go to their clubs after the friendlies in China. The faith and influence of Dennerby is paying. The ladies can only improve, although it is just one year contract to start, but the players are raw diamonds. |
Schemerkhiz:Who is this Patricia George? |
EVarn:French speaking? Hands of Jacob voice of Esau |
Schemerkhiz:Very good. I have been praying for Nigeria to play Sweden in a friendly. It will be awesome. |
As its season of politics, I must say I am proud of contributors to this thread who have ignored those childishly dragging politics into this thread. As it is not possible to delete the person's post, I think its best to just ignore them. Intelligent minds on this thread who really want the best for the military, I commend you all. |
Congratulations to CAF team of the year. They are fighters. Had the worst preparations but still won the cup through dogged determination. Congratulations. No news about going to China for the invitational though. |
jakeporeshenko:God will continue to protect them. It is not easy at the frontline. |
New NAF video highly commendable. They were able to 'seperate the boys from the men' in the battle. Also, this video shows that BHT dont just attack with 4 or 5 technicals. They come in convoy of up to 10, if not more. It is to NA advantage that those BHTs are coming out to attack. Opportunity to massively degrade their arsenal. |
EVarn:He joined army for economic reasons. Some people will die to be in that position he is cowardly running away from. He should sleep 3 days in guardroom for that. |
I like this thread. PDP goons and enemies of Nigeria showing their characters. This is why I can NEVER support PDP as it is now. The desperation to get power is too much. They dont mind burning down the whole country. Idiots rubbishing the military as if they have another army to protect them. Every sensible country supports its military in times like this, but no. Children of hate must always hate. 4 years of hate must have had its toll on you lots. From Orubebe to IPOB, to restructuring, now to Abiku. The only sad part is that you're just starting. Buhari will get his mandate and rule for 4 years God willing. Nigerian Army will be victorious. |
felixedet:I'm ashamed of the educational system that failed you to believe such nonsense. |
For idiots dragging Buhari into this, don't kill yourselves before your time. The army has a problem with dailytrust publishing it's planned offensive. The media has to help the army in times like this. They didn't have to publish the army's strategies even if they got inside information. Some soldiers actually die from sabotage acts like this. |
As I was reading through this poorly written propaganda, I was expecting to start reading capital projects. Rather, I met innuendos and vague conclusions. Your brother failed class many times and a relative gave birth thanks to a bill Saraki signed. At that point, I knew Saraki was going to have problem convincing Kwarans. I expected you to compare Saraki to Tinubu in terms of physical development of the state. For a man like Saraki, I think his greed has caught up with him. He was on top of the world because Kwarans carried him high for a long time. |
mostob:I thought they will go to China first. If they are truly going to China, then they should resume in camp latest Monday. Then they will have enough time to just bring physical fitness level to average and maybe work a few tactics before flying to China. First match is on 17th January, 12 days away. My gut feeling is that NFF will fumble again. |
ugo4u:Yes, it is a movie. The script is known. Our soldiers are not fortunate to have a written script to follow. |
As we get closer to elections, expect more 'US based experts', 'Germany based group', 'UK tink tank' etc. All na lie. Rather than go out and sell themselves, Atiku and Obi are looking for short cut on social media. |
Immediately I read the news, I knew it was a PDP masterpiece. I was switched on even with Cambridge Analytica in 2015. It is all too obvious this time around. The facebook groups are easily identifiable, and even the NL ids are very easy to spot. Why is it that PDP is not ready to honestly challenge the government and present a viable solution? Why must they always take Nigerians for granted, even when seeking to govern? PDP is so used to having its way against the will on Nigerians that it no longer bothers to do things right. Thats the only reason why, even an underperforming Buhari will flog them hands down. |
Only thing missing in posts like this is the profession of the buyer. |
Xbee007:Apologies. Got it from the news site. |
Victory for 120 battalion. Absolutely routed the 1st, 2nd and 3rd wave of BHT attackers. Whoever is leading them knows what he is doing. Troops of 120 battalion stationed in Goniri, Gujba local government area of Yobe State have reportedly inflicted heavy casualties on Boko Haram terrorists who attempted to infiltrate the town through the western axis of the town. It was learnt that the assailants, who came in droves at about 7pm yesterday, met their waterloo at the outskirt of the village where officers and men of the battalion confronted them in a fierce battle. It was also gathered that there was wild jubilation in the town by residents of Goniri over the success recorded by the troops. The town suffers from poor telecommunication facilities, hence it was hard to reach out to the residents for more details on what had transpired during yesterday’s gun duel. When DAILY POST sent a text massage on the situation in Goniri town following the attack to the spokesperson of 27 Taskforce Brigade Buni Yadi, Major Alimi, he replied saying “The situation is cool and calm, Goniri is peaceful for now”. The image maker did not give further details on the number of casualties from both sides. Goniri, which is about 80 kilometers away from Damaturu, the Yobe state capital, was once under the occupation of the Boko Haram insurgents. With Goniri’s attack, the insurgents have raided three communities in Yobe state in less than a week. Source: http://dailypost.ng/2018/12/28/boko-haram-terrorists-attack-goniri-town-yobe/

Whoever the brigade commander is in Goniri, Yobe state, he deserves some accolade. Not one BHT was spare apparently. He was very well prepared. |
EVarn:Classic bandits. A little seriousness and coordinated attacks will reverse their gains. Between now and the elections BHT will get new and improved propaganda spreaders. Willing and ready to attack the army and it's efforts. |
prolog2:You cannot be correct as per tribe. We have had Yoruba, Edo, Hausa and Kanuri as Theatre Commanders and they all have achieved results, albeit to varying degrees. We will surely overcome. I remain extremely positive and I am praying for the troops. |
Baga is a wake up call. I still dont think much has changed. Reportage has certainly become more political, but BHT have been defeated beyond them having capacity to hold down any town for more than 48 hours. |
isan:Totally worthy. I'm sure she will improve faster from now on. |
Chinese women national team just confirmed Nigeria will be in the 4 nation tournament in Meizhou next year. Tournament starts on 17th January and will involve 4 teams- China, South Korea, Nigeria and Romania. This way, Nigeria likely to play nothing less than 6 different countries before the world cup. Superb. |
