Honestly I know nothing about the said inverter but as @ojeysky as said, you can program the bulk voltage and float voltage and all is well - this setting will be under "USER"

Max. Time should be like a year to add another.... Though Tier 1 lithium brands says you can add on battery along the line but to be on save side a year is great.

cretin:
i dont have an intelligent invertee, my inverter is YIY 48v 5kva with batt type selector, but no lithium profile listed.
is there a way, i could use it for the lifepo4 battery?

also if i have more funds when is the latest time, i could buy a 2nd 48v 200ah felicity bank to add to the first bank. do i need to use a bms to parallel them?.

@ojeysky, so members here got 120ah from the felicity, thats pretty poor. has anybody opened it, what kind of cells are inside? name and capacity

Good evening, Do you have variants of these batteries available? The price you called for 2000Ah is pretty juicy, I'd like to know more

earthrealm:
24 x 130k is 3.1m for a 48v 2000ah bank.
Incountry price of 48v 600ah lifepo4 bank is Abt 3m.
40 x 12v 200ah quanta = 48v 2000ah is abt 6m
I would take a 48v 2000ah lead acid bank over 48v 600ah lithuims.

Wish the batts came in 6v 2000ah, would be a lot easier and affordable for a 48v bank owner.
I wonder the price of 2v 1000ah
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 10:47pm On Oct 09, 2020
Based on cultured experiments done by members of this forum on felicity, I'd say that go for it, assuming you are running it with an intelligent inverter.

Said the above due to it Lithium makeup.
So more years out of it over the L.A Variant

My own professional opinion though
cretin:
am a silent follower of this forum

pls help me choose btw these options.

1. 4 units 12v 200ah quanta /thundervolt smf batts .about 600k
2. 48v 200ah felicity lifepo4 bank, abt 700k

3.4units 12v flooded tubular batts, i see so many makes with slight diff in prices, is anyone better than the others?. genus, mecury, luminous etc about 500k

That's impressive, is it a smart TV?
zeestone99:
Mine can do 70w,50, and 30w depending on the level of eco mode chosen. Brand is Samsung.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 3:56am On Oct 09, 2020
Very efficient, I have seen for a 70inch LG drop from 130W to 105W to 90W using just eco mode and drop to 70-60W on further reduction of brightness.

Even a conventional TV can reduce consumption by playing around with its brightness and all that.
Sound power consumption is a little negligible
eleojo23:
How efficient is the ECO mode on TVs? Does it really reduce power consumption?
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 7:22pm On Oct 08, 2020
Good evening,
There is no 2KW variant of the inverter but it is available in 3KW 24V & 3KW 48V variants.

I will recommend a 3KW for you based on future expansions of load and this newer version have lithium compatibility, and the cost will be between 800k to 1.2million.

And No we can not install in Abuja presently, but we can do you one better, provide every needed item that even an inexperienced engineer can't help but follow the recommended standards

From MC4 to MCB, and other needed accessories.

Inclusive after sales support,
and what budget are you working with?

kindly reach out for further explanation.

What will be the cost of 2kw on an average. And can you install in Abuja

This might just be what you need

A simple setup like below would best suit your need;

100Ah battery,
500W inverter/charger
2.5mm wire to connect
And
A miniature 32A knife-edge to switch between Utility and the inverter.

Or a Solar home system comprising of DC lamps, DC fan and a boom box with Solar panel.

en0uwem:
I want to do a small setup for my shop/store.
I'll only be using led bulbs and maybe a single fan.

What type of inverter and battery should I buy for this? Thank you

To Question
1. Yes, it does come with its own charge controller a PWM type.

2. This would have being advisable if you were not using a two battery system as ideally you should only be doing 40 - 50A max. Which is equivalent to around 1400W.

3. There is a way all your problems can go away, if you try the GROWATT 3KW 24V
It has a max. Capacity for 1500Wp and you can set your priority to Solar only battery then grid, and all these can be monitored remotely with ease.
And all the headache of over charging goes away as you can set the max. Current to be delivered to your battery to your desired current and still be served to be max of what the sun has to give.

If you need more info on the Growatt kindly respond.

I hope I have helped answer your question.
Cheers
Brando16:
Good day people,
I’m brand spanking new on this thread and I need advice/direction on a backup power system.
Currently I have a modified 2kva Prag inverter and 2 pcs of 200AH gel batteries that have gotten to their end of life (don’t back up for more than 30mins anymore).
Because of the recent increase in power tariffs across the country, I am looking towards an inverter system that would help to bring down my power cost by getting a hybrid inverter that places priority on solar before the grid.
To achieve what I stated above, I recently acquired 4 pcs of of 250w panel (1000w),
With the panels I intend to buy a hybrid inverter (looking at Schneider Electric Homaya 1.5KVA Solar Hybrid Inverter) and 2 pcs of Eastman Tubular Battery 220Ah 12V.
My issue now is
1. I’m not sure if the Schneider Hybrid inverter comes with its own Charge control (either pwm of mppt).
2. Also regards of if it does can I still get a 60A mppt CC that will handle charging and not compromise they hybrid nature of the invert (placing priority on solar 1st).
3. Is der anyother way I could achieve my overall objective without said inverter (Schneider Electric Homaya 1.5KVA Solar Hybrid Inverter) if that is the bottle neck.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 3:42pm On Sep 14, 2020
We have a similar package that can suit this your needs
It's a 500W inverter/charger with 100Ah battery.
Though ours is with solar but based on your needs, it can still work, as I believe your laptop isn't in use at those 10hrs period.

Kindly reply to proceed further.

My community has light supply 7pm to 8am everyday,so I need a small inverter I can use for atleast 8-10hrs when there's no light...I'm a corp member somewhere in Bayelsa so I'm looking for a good small inverter that can just charge my laptop, phone and Bluetooth speaker.

Any suggestions please?

Hello, the price of the products at the quoted website is quite steep for exchange rate of Nigeria to Euros. Got a far more cheaper options, as the equipment are premium.

Fishermen who prefer the experience of a light cast opt for good quality spinning reels so they can get some good distance on the cast. The low-impact casting makes it a great option for anglers who like to use live bait but want to cast without damaging the bait.Spinning reels are versatile and provide an excellent experience for all styles of fishing. Spinning reels are a good choice for casual fishermen as they are helpful in a multitude of situations. In most cases, casual fishermen do not buy a reel for every type of fishing because they cannot afford it. A spinning reel from www.nihonfishing.com serves you well in any type of fishing because they are available in several affordable models.

Try and beat this.
3s2p 280w yingli @ noon
Total 1680w installed capacity...harvest 2035w, it even hit 2045w..but went out b4 i could take a picture.
Next step would be to verfiy this readings with a clamp meter, cos i had about 34.6amps coming in @ 57.6v or so

Hey!

It didn't cross my mind one bit, as i was of the idea that if he could supplement the PC over battery.

But your point is totally valid.
Thanks for the tips.
earthrealm:
errrm, i think the first advice is: placing 10kw load on a 48v 400ah bank is a big NO NO.
Using C/10 rule, maz load you should place on the bank is about 2kw. for lead acid battery, even LIPO4 bank may not be able to handle such a huge instantenous load.

even if you counter and say the panel will handle the load, you and i know that panel harvest isnt steady, cos you need to be assured of steady 8kw minimum from the panels to surport the bank to carry the load at all times
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 9:00am On May 16, 2020
Since we are assuming here

I will first suggest that getting an inverter that can help you prioritize the charging current is very important.

For your battery bank, you need 80A max. To charge without stressing the cells

So that will require 5.5Kw - 4.6Kw of PC array to charge within 2-4 hours max. (Ideally)

For your loads you will require minimum of 12.6Kw based on efficiency list and all plus irradiance variations.

This being trashed.
With a programmable inverter. ...say Hybrid ..you can set max. Charge to battery and direct the rest to the loads.

And in low sun shine days .. your battery can help you out.

Stay safe and enjoy the weekend.
