WebmastersRe: Which Online Payment System To Choose For Our Website? by OmniPotens(m): 6:48am On Dec 26, 2008
Spadmin1:
Heres a great solution,

[center]--WWW.SOFTPAY.ORG--

SoftPay is an online payment system that enables its users to send Naira online.
SoftPay could also serve as an online wallet enabling users to save online. SoftPay users
can also receive money online and later withdraw it directly to their bank account, request
for a cheque from SoftPay, send the money on to other SoftPay users or use the money
to shop online on selected sites.
SoftPay is accessible to users from all over the world with an internet connection but
all transactions are carried out in Naira. This makes SoftPay a service mainly for Nigerians in
Nigeria and abroad. Serious online merchants can take advantage of this service to collect
payment for good and services from their customers all over the world thereby increasing
their scope and reach. Business does not have to be limited to your locality only.
Another good feature of SoftPay is that it shields your financial payment information
(credit/debit card and or bank account details) to a large extent. You only need to store your
financial information with SoftPay, and do not need to share it with merchants or other people
in general since all you need to complete a transaction is your SoftPay user name and SoftPay
account password when making payment.

How can SoftPay be of use to you?
Your use of SoftPay will depend on what exactly you intend to do online. Are you an online
shopper, a small-time seller or a full-blown merchant? SoftPay will work for you.
At SoftPay there is no distinction between seller, buyer or merchant. All accounts are treated
equally and fairly.
Send Money home
If you live abroad you can send money home through your SoftPay account. The great thing
is that you can send small amounts of money to several beneficiaries without paying a fortune
in transfer fees
. e.g Bits of N10,000 oe even N5,000 and you don't have to pay transfer fees for
each one. Jus send the money directly to your softpay account and then distribute from there on.
Collections
Have you got business interests back home and would require to collect money from people
who owe you some? I bet we are all familiar with the scenario in which we ask a relative to
collect for us and next thing we begin to hear is stories of how the money went. Well not any
more!
Now you can ask all your debtors to easily pay directly into your SoftPay.org account.
Receiving Money
With your SoftPay.org account you can collect and monitor all your debts securely online even
from abroad. Know when payment is made and manage your cash in full control just the way
you want.
Buy/Sell
You can use your SoftPay.org to pay for goods and/or services obtained from Nigeria.
You can also sell stuff and get paid through SoftPay. All this and more without the hassles of
the past.
Make residual income with the Free Referral Program:
Open a free account today and be automatically enrolled in our free affiliate program that pays
you for your referrals 4 levels deep.
Business/private users: Make payments, send money to friends with SoftPay - and earn money instead of paying it through the bank.
Online shops: A double advantage: accept SoftPay and at the same time earn money by referring users to us via your special referral link.
Webmasters: Turn your traffic into cash - just for putting a SoftPay link/banner on your website! Earn commision from all who sign-up through your site.

SoftPay is stretching the boundaries of e-commerce in Nigeria.
You too can join now and begin enjoying the benefits by signing-up for a SoftPay account.
On sign-up you will even get free N200 credit to your account. How cool is that?
Click on the link below to do so now.

Check your mail. Important information waiting.
Dating And Meet-up ZoneRe: Scam Alert! Pls Take Note by OmniPotens(op): 1:56am On Dec 26, 2008
I can now figure out where they get most of these pictures. They go to dating sites where they know people are having lots of their pictures and download then use them. This way, when you ask them for different pictures, like the snap of a finger, they'll provide them just to prove that they are the true person you are seeing.

I hope the owners of these dating sites and modelling agencies websites find a way to encrypt their pictures against being copied and used. This can even put these innocent people whose pictures are being used into deep troubles.
WebmastersRe: Nigeria's Official Website Shutdown by OmniPotens(m): 1:13am On Dec 26, 2008
Yes, a better website that will last longer and possess better functionalities than this initial one here. I hope they'll maintain the domain name and not start trying to register a new one which is always their trend. Once a new person comes in, instead maintaining the former, he/she simply introduces his own different concept. Take NECO website as a case study even JAMB. Different websites working on different DB which not all of them are updated to contain the same results. I call it a waste of resources.

IMHO, not a blessing at all. Many lives will be in danger because the market will be filled with fake drugs again. I bet you, this time around, there will be no mercy by these fake drug manufacturers as they will sell both the ones they've not sold for all those years and the present years at the same time.

Only God can and will save his children.
WebmastersRe: Nigeria's Official Website Shutdown by OmniPotens(m): 8:35pm On Dec 25, 2008
@Paribus

Thanks for your remarks here.

@Yawa
Thanks for those responses.

Talking about fitness for the position as the Minister for Information, I think she is capable of being there. Why? If she was not capable, why will the Senate approve the list at all even after seeing her name not in the expected Minister for Health? But, IMHO she is not good enough for that position  tongue.

About the deadline issue, I guess that is enough time for any agency thinking about what to make her web platform look like. The earlier they start now, the better for them. Where the problem lies is on the many crappy web works that will soon sprout up here and there in name of websites for agencies. This is only where I foresee a big problem. Just as you put it here,  cowboy web developers will simply arise from different corners and spoil the good name and pace which better developers have worked to set up for years. Yes, this is true but we have do anything about it. Our people will always say that, "someone who has his brother in heaven, doesn't get to hell as his brother, in a better place will always remember him". Someone whose brother/ sister is in any of the agencies, even if it is only how to type on the computer that he/she is familiar with, will be given the job of a web designer. What do you expect as the end result?

There are many things to really put into consideration before taking this kinda decision she has taken as per the deadline of March but she has spoken, what else?
=== Roman locuta, causam finitam est. ===

We must not sit down and watch these projects go anyway. We'll try our best and get at some, at least, if 10 is awarder and we get just 1, not a bad idea. We simply do the task as professionalized as we can and if it stands out, don't you think that the word "redesign" still exists  wink ?

The Nicest Present

Under the tree the gifts enthrall,
But the nicest present of them all
Is filling our thoughts with those who care,
Wanting our Christmas joy to share.
To you, whom we're often thinking of,
We send our holiday joy and love.

Merry Xmas to all!

Very INTERESTING to hear and read this news.

Web Designers/ Developers, what do think? Time to get busy and do it all perfectly well *the much you can do anyway* and design/ developer at least 10 webs  grin before end of March 2009. Great opportunity for the new year.

As we have debated on a thread some good months back, Ref: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-190166.32.html, the web was not really worth it and finally it is down (though it is still accessible as I was able to log on and still saw the same old website there http://nigeria.gov.ng/). So what next?

I wanted to draw the public attention to this thread I referenced above but the punch web will not allow me. All I get is an error from the backend program for the posts or shout box there.

@poster
Thanks for alerting us on this. Even this news is not on the frontpage of about 3 other newspapers I've checked this morning.

MERRY XMAS TO ALL!

WebmastersRe: All Your Xmas Greetings & New Year Wishes Here Please! by OmniPotens(op): 5:14am On Dec 25, 2008
Heaven's gift has come to man.
Mortal fate rests
Within tiny hallowed hands.
Shepherds singing, a shining star,
Angels proclaiming,
Kings bearing gifts from afar.
A scene of serene glory,
The weight of a holy hush,
The meaning of heaven\'s story,
'Twas God's first CHRISTmas gift to us.

Who would recall the power of that day,
At the time when He was led away,
Bearing a crown, a robe, and fateful wounds?
Was He not the gift from heaven's womb?

Shall we turn from that holy day
And walk away unchanged?
Will we allow it to envelope our souls
Only to let it slowly slip away?

Through plastic, tinsel, parties and gifts,
Shopping, planning, and Christmas lights lit,
Can the simple gift be heard or seen,
Or does it quietly fade behind holiday sheen?

Let us not forget that He loves us so.
He loves us too much to let us go.
He sent a plan with His sacrifice
To forgive and cleanse and give us life.

Embrace the greatest gift of all;
Don't let your sense of the manger wane.
The gift of heaven is yours to receive.
It was the true reason He came.

WebmastersAll Your Xmas Greetings & New Year Wishes Here Please! by OmniPotens(op): 5:07am On Dec 25, 2008
I heard a knock on my door one Christmas Eve,
As I looked out my window a man I could see,
he was cold and seemed so lonely and upon a bended knee
he asked can you spare anything for me to eat,
I opened up the door and as I helped him in,
he looked up at me with such a peaceful grin,
As he drank down some coffee and had a bite to eat,
I put more wood on the fire so he could warm his feet,
Over there by the fireplace he warmed his tired hands,
I wonder where did he come from, this quiet white haired man,
but I wasn't at all afraid of his peaceful ways you see,
this man dressed in poor, almost as poor as me,
As he left he turned and thanked me for all I had done,
but he forgot to take his gloves, so out the door I run,
He was gone in the blizzard and I couldn't hardly see,
so I took his ole glove's back to the house with me,
Just a little after midnight I awoke in the dark,
there wasn't a bit of fire just glowing cinders in the dark,
and where I'd placed his gloves by my little christmas tree,
there laid a brand new pair, and a Christmas Card for me,
and it read,
You gave me shelter and food to keep me warm,
you even tried to bring me my gloves in the storm,
so here's you a new pair,,  the finest ever seen,
as an angel of the Lord
I'll be sure to tell the King, Merry Christmas,

Are you saying you are no longer continuing your tutorials? If you are tied up, why not upload the book somewhere so they go download it there. Though the chunk by chunk method you are using here is just good enough.

Waiting to know what decision you are taking.
WebmastersRe: Please Where Do I Register A (.gov.ng ) Domain Name? by OmniPotens(m): 4:48pm On Dec 23, 2008
.ng.gov is meant soley for government agencies and not just for anyone to register. IMHO, I think this TLD should be strictly reserved for government agencies and not for anyone who wants to register a .ng TLD.

You can always YIM me whenever you see my online status for a guide. Can't type much now because I'm tied by so much works here.

Consider downloading an FTP software like "Filezilla Client". Go to google and search it out. It is a free software. There are many others out there you can still use.

I'll still try post more info when I'm chanced. Meanwhile, try and YIM me.
Music/RadioRe: Faze's Originality And Tuface's Ustoppable, Reviews And Comments by OmniPotens(m): 10:51pm On Dec 22, 2008
I think originality is a very good with crackers like Valentine's Day, Originality, am in love, spend my money, story of my life, dutty wine, yawa eh, hold ur, u no try and Tatoo Girls (remix) as well as 2faze's with enter the place (the oldest song on the album though) as its best song, jungle don mature, outside as its best works.
This shows that they are all good albums but I tip Faze's Originality cos it's more lively to 2face's.

If people choose to castigate the issue of Mary and Jesus, I think I've come to see some little fact why it is needless.

Luke 1: 26-38

If God could send his angel to come and bow before this woman, "Hail Mary, full of grace, " the greetings of the Angel Gabriel and further "---  the Lord is with thee", " --- the power of the Most High will over shadow you ---  "

These are just some excerpts from the above bible passage.

Is there still the need doubting is Mary should be honoured just as the Angel did or castigated as not to play an important role? Remove this woman, there will not be Christmas even the passion of Christ and the redemption by shedding his blood on the cross of Calvary. Even before his expiation, "--- son behold thy mother and to Mary, mother behold thy son ---  "

Seeing these, I personally think there is much meaning and sense in honouring Mary. She is great and has done humnity proud. What do you think?

PS: No pointless arguments or posts. The worst is to start off a quarrel. Stay away and read than fail this simple rule here.
