frosbel: Well, I am not perfect, nobody is
I'll make a confession frosbel. I thought you batted for the 'other side' shocked I've not been reading most of the threads you start on here as the topics are things like:

Jesus Christ IS NOT God

What If Jesus Didn’t Fully Die?

Let Us Discuss The Pre-existence Of JESUS

I just assumed ........... so when you posted on this thread condemning Halloween with a link, I checked out some of your threads and thought, "you really shouldn't judge a book by it's cover"

So frosbel, my bruv, I apologise cheesy

Christianity EtcRe: Is Celebrating Halloween Harmless? by OmoAlata(op): 3:59pm On Oct 19, 2012
Thanks. I've never thought it harmful as I know we don't worship satan in our house shocked but as I've started studying the word more and praying more, I'm beginning to doubt some certain things we've allowed. For instance, on the 1st of January, there's a tradition that a man should enter the house first, he should be carrying coal and bread and this will signify wealth throughout the new year. It's called first-footing. We've been doing this yearly, on my insistence, with my husband bearing the goodies grin However, I have banned it henceforth since believing it's not scriptural smiley And hubby is relieved cheesy

Christianity EtcIs Celebrating Halloween Harmless? by OmoAlata(op): 1:21pm On Oct 19, 2012
Every year, my kids go trick or treating. I didn't mind as I thought it was fun stuff for children and they usually came back home laden down with sweets and treats.

Anyway, I've banned Halloween in our house this year as I think it's 'dark'. The kids say "it's only harmless fun, mum" but I'm not budging. What do you lot think?

Thank you smiley

tiniyata: (10). Kingdom Husbands- They are extra-ordinary husbands; they are what God want them to be as husband. They know that their God is to be feared and worshiped, their wives are to be loved and their children are to be catered for. They are “real men”, men indeed; they are the SUNSHINE in the life of their wives and children.
I am pleased to say that THIS is MY husband grin grin grin
Sorry bout that,i meant secular. But what are your views or opinions?
Don't know for sure. My iPod only has praise & worship music on but that's not to say we don't listen to secular music in our house (I have children wink) I think it depends on the lyrics. I mean, singing along to "I'm gonna marry the night" by Lady Gaga. What's that all about huh

Or her Judas song
In the most biblical sense,
I am beyond repentance
Fame hooker, prostitute wench,
vomits her mind
But in the cultural sense
I just speak in future tense
Judas kiss me if offense,
don't wear your condom next time

shocked shocked shocked shocked

So, sing along, dance along, but be wary of the lyrics. If you're uncomfortable with it, stop immediately grin

Christianity EtcRe: Worldly Dance, Worldly Song, Worldly Music, Worldly Movie, : Enough Is Enough by OmoAlata(f): 5:52pm On Oct 17, 2012
tobechi20: If dbanj is a worldly singer, why dont d pastor reject his money

if politics is a dirty game, why do pastors organise prayer for politician to win election.

If psquare is worldly singer, then he shouldnt
pay tithe.

Enough is enough
I don't know dbanj or psquare so can't comment on them but on the prayer for politician matter, the Bible says in 1 Timothy 2: 1-2

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
