Christianity EtcRe: Smart To Be Fool by OmoAlata(f): 5:46pm On Oct 17, 2012
Rtem: SMART TO BE FOOL
When you become a genuine child of God, you become godly and gentle, you are no longer the aggressive, forceful and fighting person you used to be.
I don't know. Maybe I need prayers. At work, if I feel like I'm being cheated, I speak up straightaway. For instance, the other day, the receptionist was not at work so the manager said I should cover the reception until 3p.m and my colleague should cover from 3p.m to 5p.m.

I spoke up instantly. Told her straight that it was unfair. After I made noise, she changed it to me covering the reception until 1p.m and my colleague covering from 1p.m until 5p.m. My colleague wasn't happy grin
Christianity EtcRe: How To Be A Nigerian Pastor – By Segun Dada by OmoAlata(f): 5:37pm On Oct 17, 2012
I shouldn't be saying this but it reminds me of a time in Kaduna. There was this new pentecostal church starting up and because it was quite close to our house, I decided to attend once in a while. It was held in an unfinished building - wall and roof, no windows or doors grin The 'pastor' said the church building was in progress and with God's help, it would be completed soon. We always donated towards the building fund.

Anyway, one Sunday, church service in full swing, with clapping and dancing going on, the real owner of the building, came in and chucked us out grin grin shocked shocked

We said, "Oga, let us finish the service now" but the oga didn't agree O grin The entire neighbourhood gathered round. T'was one helluva embarrasment grin

tng: @omo alata

some of us in situations like yours though not from our mothers but equally close relatives feel your pain and know your struggles. I and my family are a living testimony of this kind of struggle. Prayer is the only sure recipe for success.Just continue to do your own part as a child to her and let God fight your battle.
Thank you. It does amaze me daily though that a mother would wish ill on her child. I still can't comprehend and I hope I never do. I have 5 children. They are all different. Some are loving and caring. Some are downright horrible but I still would not wish ill on them smiley
Christianity EtcRe: What's Your Religion? by OmoAlata(f): 10:19pm On Oct 14, 2012
FrontPageLawyer: Feel free to just list your religion.

I am a Christian.
Over here, when someone asks, "what's your religion" and you say, "I'm a Christian", they then say, "Yeah, but what's your religion" and you repeat, "I'm a Christian" and they say, "I get that, but what's your religion", they actually want to know if you are Baptist, or Protestant, or Gospel etc etc so "My religion is Pentecostal" grin

omonikiba: omo alata, thanks for your insight. am trying to conceive, i am really trusting God for a miracle.
It is well. Once you get pregnant, try not to tell anyone except those you can trust with prayers. Keep it secret (it will be difficult as you'll want to shout it from the rooftops) until your belly shoots out grin

newken: @omo alata and the other person that posted about their Mum. You are not alone.

No doubt about it, that mum is a witch. You havent seen anything. If i tell you what my mum does, you will be too surprised. Sometimes it is hard to share such experiences because it's ones mother.

God is a revealer of secrets. Dont joke with your dreams
God indeed reveals to redeem. Half the battle is won. You cannot joke with prayers. Try midnight prayers and early morning prayers. Always cover yourself with the blood of Jesus. If your church does deliverance service, try to attend one. It is well. God will deliver us all from household wickedness in Jesus name Amen.

honeyfave: I pray that my only brother's life shall never be wasted in Jesus Name.
My bible says suffer not a witch to live.
God will deliver him. Keep on praying Fire prayers wink
