Nonsense. All primates suffer from disease outbreaks. You just don't see it because you aren't living among them. In addition, repeated exposure to a pathogen will eventually create widespread immunity in that population, which may explain why monkeys might not be affected by Ebola.

Ebola is not a 'new' disease. It has lurked in the forest for centuries; however, with humans being much more mobile than they were even 50 years ago, a disease which used to be confined to a very local area can now spread very quickly.

Stop seeing conspiracies everywhere. If you have proof, show it. If the west were determined to wipe out Africans, it would already have been done, without the need to develop viruses that could spread to white people as well.

I agree with the general idea of the OP. In my opinion, Jesus was one of several people who claimed to be the messiah in the first century AD. And like all the others, he was put to death by the Romans, who would then have left his body at the crucifixion site to be eaten by vultures. Hence there would be no body to bury, making it easy for Jesus' followers to claim that he ascended physically into heaven.

I would bet that the amount of people who pray in any given country correlates positively with the amount of social and political instability found there.

Most gods act just like humans who have been given too much power. Coincidence? I think not.

I have already read the Quran from beginning to end. I do not believe in its claim to be of divine origin. I have also looked at various debates about the Quran.

I am an atheist therefore I believe that Muhammad is the author of the Quran. I did not say that the 5th and 9th suras were composed at the same time; I merely stated that they were among the very last suras in terms of chronology.

There is a clearly documented biological explanation for sleep paralysis. I, an atheist, have experienced this before and did not perceive any evil spirits involved. In any case I experimented with changing my sleeping habits and that solved the problem a number of years ago.

I don't think Jesus made that claim anyway. I believe that he really thought he was going to free the Jews from the Romans within his lifetime. When the Romans put him to death I think he was genuinely surprised to find out that he wasn't the messiah. The notion of a messiah coming is all mythology anyway...

Read the 5th and 9th suras (they were two of the last three suras that Muhammad gave) in order to get an idea of what he was thinking at the end of his life.

Atheists are at one end, theists on the other, while agnostics are in the middle. You can't be neutral and "extreme" at the same time.

Allow me to disagree with you. I consider myself 'agnostic atheist.' One term reflects what I know and the other reflects my opinion. So do I know for sure that gods do not exist? No, I don't, so my state of knowledge is 'agnostic'; that is, I don't know. However my opinion is that gods do not exist, hence I am an atheist with regard to that.

There are thousands of gods he does not believe in....we only believe in one less god...so yes, he should also stay off the religion section. Only people who believe in all gods should be allowed.

I have never prayed and things have turned out well for me, both through hard work and some luck. My advice would be to not bother with praying.
